From Martin Millar: Lonely Werewolf Girl

If you have not read this book by now, I am asking: what are you doing with your life? Neil Gaiman is a fan of Martin´s work. What other encouragement do you need? That there are only three books in the series? Seriously, get reading.

Where did the name kalix come from? Its a really pretty name. At first I thought you named kalix after Kalix Löjrom or the Kalix municipality in Sweden as like a homepage to Swedish heritage or something but I'm not English so idk. 🤔👀

Kalix’s name came from the Kalix MacRinnalch Series by Martin Millar! It’s about a werewolf called Kalix lol, I read a preview of it like 10 years ago and fell in love with the name (never did actually read any of them lol).

I did know that Kalix as a name has Swedish roots, as I’ve read about the Kalix Municipality and also the Kalix River, but I had no idea what Kalix Löjrom was though, so thank you for teaching me something new !!

One of my favorite Werewolf related media is Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar

The story is about the daughter of the king of the Werewolves, who live in scotland. While her brothers fight for who will be the heir and her sister fucked off to London to become a fashion stylist, Kalix McRinnalch runs off from home and lands into the flat of two students in London.

It's an urban fantasy with a fun twist, lots of quirky characters and tons of cool werewolves (especially female ones!).

I am Kalix MacRinnalch from 'Lonely Warewolf Girl' by Martin Millar. I am rather happy with this. She has had a tough life, misunderstood and lonely but fierce and I respect that. (It is a very good book, I reccomend it and the other books in the series)

So, now I am frustrated...

Martin Millar has a new Kalix book coming out!!!!  It will be released on August 29, 2013!!!!!  According to Amazon UK.

According Amazon and Barnes and Noble the Anxiety of Kalix the Werewolf will be out February 11, 2014!!!!!!!!!! 

I don't like this, I want to read this bloody book!!!!!!!!!

I suppose I will have to just import the goram thing.

But seriously THAT'S A FIVE MONTH DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  REALLY!!!!!

P.S. you should totally read Lonely Werewolf Girl and Curse of the Wolf Girl.  Because they are hilarious and full of the best werewolves EVER!
