Had a go at making a Kaleidoscope pattern.

The longest part was trying to get the wedges the right sort of triangle to fit in a repeating hexagon pattern. I figured it would be easiest to make a single triangle wedge, duplicate and spin that into a hexagon then duplicate the hexagon.

(-into a small cluster then duplicate the small cluster into a bigger cluster and so on and so forth and the full sheet image is too big for tumblr. whoopsie~)

In the world of recreational drug use, a particular substance known as ayahuasca has been used for thousands of years. It contains a molecule called N,N-Dimethyltryptamine, colloquially known as 'the spirit molecule' on account of how it enables the experiencer to enter the unseen world where spirit-beings and angels reside. Natives of the Amazon rainforest have passed knowledge to us of the true nature of this plant - it is a literal portal to a world that exists all around us, only we are unable to see it without ingesting this plant that is brewed into a beverage. Some who have experimented with this drug have encountered what are known as 'jesters,' which appear to them as literal clowns dressed in jester attire, complete with their iconic cap-and-bell head wear. They are described as appearing either full frontal, comically dancing, insulting, terrorizing, or laughing sneerily at you. At other times, they appear at the periphery of one's vision whilst astrally controlling their soul passing through a vast and long tunnel towards the light at the end which they interpret as the end to this hell. During this ascent to heaven, they subtly notice how the jester is present, at their very side, running at incredibly high speeds, keeping up with their soul's transportation, all the while maintaining a fixed gaze on their faces with a sly smile. Some say that they deliberately do this to distract them from their spiritual liberation and keep them in bondage to this world. Others describe these jesters as the ultimate creators of this material world, and whenever they are encountered, they do so to help the user recognize this world for what it is, and simply laugh at all its absurdity. The jester's brainchild.

Playing with the kaleidoscope pattern I made the other day to make some wings.

The whole thing was meant for my fairysona, and I've always liked the idea of a kaleidoscope pattern on Enchantix style wings, maybe even shifting between two or three states, but looking at it I think I might like the simpler one on the right more.
