"Kala Channa Cheela"
“Black Chickpea Savoury Crepes” These gluten-free cheelas are protein-packed and super delicious to make. This is my take on a popular and nutritious Indian dish made from chickpea flour (besan) and various spices. This savory crepe is quick and easy to prepare, making it a perfect option for a healthy breakfast, snack, or even a light meal. These are so dense and wholesome, you will be full of…

SOHO Guide For Vegans
The Soho list will always change and grown as a timeless spot in London that’s forever evolving, and with that comes one of London's largest vegan food scenes. As the capital's most popular district filled with pubs, bars, and restaurants tucked away in the side streets off busy Oxford Street, Soho is the perfect spot for restauranteurs to play with meat free meals and free-from desserts. Lets hope they stay as those who remember Top Dog and it's omni menu with everything as a vegan option, know how disappointing it is to watch one of your favourite places to eat vanish!
Yorica
Yorica’s menu just keeps on giving. As vegan options continue to appear on menus, I often find myself disappointed when I get to the end of a meal with that desire for something sweet. Based on Wardour Street in the centre of Soho, Yorica has become my favourite place to pop to for a late evening frozen yoghurt treat. Yorica is open till 10pm (and till midnight Thursday – Saturday!) serving frozen yoghurt, ice cream and now waffles and crepes. All of which are free from, gluten, nuts, dairy and eggs. The frozen yoghurt offers a resemblance to childhood Mr Whippy ice creams with a choice of 4 flavours. We recommend you mix two together to experience as much as you can.
We like to order chocolate fro-yo + caramel in a classic tub with added chocolate chips. Don’t hold back on the free rainbow letter and confetti heart sprinkles either !
A classic size fro-yo of up to two flavours will cost £3.95 Which we recommend being hungry for!
130 Wardour Street, W1F 8ZN, London
Mildreds
In Mildreds we trust. This informal town house restaurant radiates charm as you approach the blue fronted building. The no booking policy is often made clear as a small huddle of people wait to be seated upon your arrival. This is the perfect time to grab a drink from the bar (granted you can get to it as this town house quickly becomes full) and look over the menu.
For people who have recently started to eat a plant based diet, or for those wanting to take omini friends for a vegan meal to show them it’s not all about salad, Mildreds ticks all the boxes.
This homely setting matched with unintimidating menu created a friendly setting to try new foods.
With main meals starting from £8 Mildreds works well as a lunch spot, or for evening meals if you want to have time to try the chocolate and hazelnut brownie with salted caramel sauce and ice cream (which is also Gluten free!)
With takeaway options as well Mildreds also has 2 other locations in London.
We recommend the Sri Lankan sweet potato and green bean curry with roasted lime cashews, pea basmati rice and coconut tomato sambal or a classic smoked tofu burger.

Monday to Saturday: 12pm - 11pm
Jerusalem Falafel
Feeding Falafel to Soho since 2011 Jerusalem Falafel is fully vegan, generous on its portion sizes and everything is made right in front of you. The £5 Rocket Wrap at Jerusalem will fill you up no questions asked. The queue starts early but if you get caught in one, it’ll move quickly.
If you're someone who enjoys speedy service and getting more for your money they are definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to eat on the go or find a quiet step somewhere to fully appreciate this beast.
Berwick St, Soho W1F 0QP
Dum Biryani
A small menu for a quaint location situated behind deep blue doors illuminated by neon, Dum Biryani opens out into a quirky tiled room.
The menu states just as many vegetarian dishes as it does meat dishes but none are labelled exclusively vegan.
To be sure their website advises ‘to phone 48 hours’ in advance if you want to make a vegan request
Everything is cooked from scratch, we recommend the Seasonal Veg. Biryani (minus the yoghurt) and the Kala Chana Masala.
Dum Biryani is a great spot for eating with omni friends where you can enjoy a meal exactly the same as theirs and not be that vegan one in the corner with a meal completely different to the rest of the party. Great for socialising.
187B Wardour Street, London, W1F 8ZB
Veggie Pret
No new news to Londoners but always a useful place to have in the back of your mind if visiting, Veggie Pret has expanded it’s range yet again and is staying put in Soho.
Now you can expect to find - vegan mac & greens , vegan brownies and sweet potato falafel & beets veggie boxes.
A great place to grab an almond hot chocolate while on the go and a chocolatey coconut bite which kept me going while there wasn’t as many vegan options as we have now!
Everything is so well labeled you can eat with confidence.
