Oh hello New Zealand! I’m thinking ahead to what sketching supplies I’ll take with me for @usksymposium in Auckland—looking forward to some amazing NZ landscapes! More experiments with colored ink and just a little splash of watercolor — this is Kakimori Torori ink, plus a brown document ink from De Atramentis. Now I just have to figure out traveling with extra bottles of ink, because I think I’m going to use a lot of this! My friend @debraprinzing of @slowflowerssociety has been reprising her 52 weeks of seasonal bouquets from her book Slow Flowers. They are beautiful and they remind us to think about a local, seasonal aesthetic for fresh flowers! Anyway they are also fun to draw. I’ve been playing around with some colored inks.
