What I have been up to.

Hello those that follow me or those that run across this art blog of mine. I been really busy in the past few months. I have had a lot of family drama and it got really bad. So I was there for my family. Been trying really hard to keep my butt in gear on my artwork. Well recently I talked to my partner in crime @kaitybug562 and I told her that I think I will stop making stuff for conventions, like fan art and stickers and such. I been getting more and more serious about my fine artwork that I create. I been focusing more on that recently and I have to push all my energy into it. I wish I had more time and resources to do both. I will still attend cons with @kaitybug562 because its always good to have someone help you watch the booth and take care of transactions and stuff. If anything I will be trying to get rid of any stock I have if I can. I still have a few stuff left from previous cons, but I won’t be making anymore. But not to fear, I still love drawing things from my favorite shows, games, and movies (legend of zelda, lord of the rings, dragon ball z... ect.) I still draw these things in my sketchbook. If I decided to make finished fan art pieces I will defiantly be posting it on this blog along with other things. The fan art will only be posted to this blog because I enjoy drawing it. If you haven’t had a chance check out my recent stuff I posted. 

So you may have questions about what my fine art work consist of? Well if you don’t know I graduated with a bachelors of fine art and I say I did really well. Well its been a little over a year since I graduated and I been focusing more and more on this area of art, as in fine art. I work with oil paints, and mixed media (watercolors, copic markers, and pen and ink). These pieces are based on my Native American culture, more specific Navajo, Sac and Fox, and Prairie Band Potawatomi. I am really into my ceremonial practices and the religion aspects of my tribes. I am enrolled as Navajo but I take part in my Sac and Fox and Prairie Band Potawatomi side. I been entering shows, and have gotten accepted into juried art exhibitions and gallery shows. Recently I entered an art show and even though I sold only one of my big fine art mixed media pieces, I sold prints of my art and I did really well. These pieces of art take a lot of time, planning to create, and money to get framed. I just don’t have time to split between my fine art, and convention art. It makes me a little sad, but I won’t stop making my fav fan art and such in my sketchbook. Its fun to draw my fav characters in my style and helps de-stress me. Doing the fine art shows and gallery shows is really time consuming and its hard work, so I like to take a break from time to time and drawing other things that I don’t really have to put deep thought into. 

Also I am engaged and have to start planning my wedding. It will probably have a lot of Native American influences as in my dress and jewelry. So that is another time consuming event. Also with family problems and other events going on (all at the same time of course) I been really stressed out and trying my darnest to not get super depressed. Stress leads to depression a lot of the time for me. But I been trying my best to cope. I hope things lighten up soon, it seems like it... I am going on a mini vacation with just me and my hubby and I can’t wait! So thanks to all those that follow me and check out my stuff. I just like to share what I do. Ok dudes, hi, I don’t know who of my friends is still on here, but I’ve got a little bit of a situation coming up soon.

You see mates, I’ll be having surgery soon, and I’ll need some extra cash for the money I’ll owe up front. Now that I’m paying rent and other bills on top of the bills I already had, money’s a little tighter than it used to be. So! Very soon, I’m going to open commissions to supplement money and pay my dues. I’ll have prices and examples up soon. I’m fine by the way, nothing too major, but I’ll explain more in my commission post. I’ll do limited slots first, and then continue when I have the first few done. I’ll be sharing this on my twitter too, so hopefully this has a good turn out. Thank you guys for your time.
