एक बार एक कुत्ता था जो खाने की तलाश में रात-दिन सड़कों पर घूमता रहता था। एक दिन, उसे एक बड़ी रसीली हड्डी मिली और उसने तुरंत उसे अपने मुंह के बीच में पकड़ लिया और घर ले जाने लगा। घर के रास्ते में, वो एक नदी पार कर रहा होता है तभी उसने एक और कुत्ता देखा जिसके मुंह में एक हड्डी थी। वह उस हड्डी को भी लेना चाहता था। लेकिन जैसे ही उसने अपना मुंह खोला, जिस हड्डी को वह काट रहा था, वह नदी में गिर गई और डूब गई। उस रात वह भूखा घर चला गया। कहानी की शिक्षा: अगर हम हमेशा दूसरों से ईर्ष्या करते हैं, तो हम लालची कुत्ते की तरह, जो हमारे पास पहले से है उसे खो देंगे।
