kageyama tobio loves consistency, he loves the familiar fabric of a volleyball against his finger tips, he loves waking up everyday at 5:00 to run for a half hour before getting ready for school. he loves having the same breakfast everyday, he found comfort in consistency, it’s been that way since he was young. it’s not something he ever wants to change.

kageyama tobio is so infatuated with you and he doesn’t even realise it for the longest time. not even when he commutes to school with you every morning, even though it’s inconvenient to take the bus to your house first. he’ll be outside your door at 6:30 everyday, he’d rather be late for volleyball practice than not be in your presence for at least an hour in the morning light.

“y/n!” he says, rushing into your classroom, panting heavily so he could find you right before lunch started, your classmates were confused as he drags you right out the room and nearby the tree where you eat with him everyday.

“no, no.. it’s not that” he muttered, his face bright red. “let me just..” he rummages through his bag. you bite down on your lip as you try not to smile, it was endearing watching him like this.

It was the day before the long awaited Valentines day. The team was currently taking a break from their volleyball practice.

“Watcha getting Y/N for valentines day tomorrow?” Nishinoya asked curiously his face laced with a smug smile

“Huh get Y/N what?” Hinata replied full of confusion

“For Valentines Day! It’s tomorrow!” Nishinoya returned the look of confusion back

“WHAT IT’S VALENTINE’S DAY TOMORROW?” Hinata gasped in surprise earning a sassy “Idiot” from Tsukishima

“How do you not know that you’re their boyfriend” Kageyama gave the tangerine a disappointed look

After practice the team decided to help the poor orange gremlin with the pursuit of finding the best gift for Valentines Day by taking him to the mall.

The next day is the long awaited Valentines Day. Hinata decided to prepare immedietly going to surprise you before going to class. As he opened the locker he greeted with party poppers and a giant teddy bear which squashes him.

“SURPRISE! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” you smiled brightly

“Oh! Let me help you up!” you giggled pushing the bear aside

“What did you say earlier?” Hinata asked as you helped him get up

His clothes were all in the theme of a gift as there was a hat on his head which looked exactly like the top of a present. Though you also saw some valentine theme on his clothes

He’d rented Ed your life fairly well, falling back into your old routine fairly well.

But it was odd, he wasn’t sure he really knew how to care for a toddler.

You were certain he’d do fine with it Aiko was always toddling after him when he’d leave the room and she’d pout if he shut her out of a room before banging on the door until he came out.

One of the days however solidified in his mind that everything was very much real, “dada!” Aiko had practically squealed, the two of you had been trying to teach her how to say it to avoid the confusion when she’d just shout mama when she wanted Shoyo’s attention.

Both your eyes widened, Hinata could practically feel the tears well in his eyes as he picked her up peppering kisses on her cheeks as she giggled.

Kageyama

He woke up with a raging head ache, where the fuck was he? He looks around at the familiar walls of your apartment the one you’d shared with him at one time.

He tilts his head to the side not prepared to stand up yet to see a miniature version of himself with their hair pulled into pigtails a few traits of yours mixed into the small girl as she sits on the ground her arms crossed as she pouts.

“Habiki?” You shout from the kitchen and he can feel his head pulse.

She stands running off to meet you.

He cautiously makes his way into the kitchen smiling as he sees you settle the little girl into her highchair and he feels like he may still be in a dream.

“Tobio” you mutter handing him a plate, there isn’t any hostility in your voice but there isn’t any trace of the fondness it once held onto so dearly.

“Y/n” he whispers and you nod sitting down beside an empty chair.

The breakfast is normal, it isn’t until Habiki’s put down for her nap that you sit him down and explain everything.

He wanted to sob, he had a daughter, a sassy little girl who he’d missed almost two years of her growing up.

“Do I still have a chance?” You roll your eyes before noticing he’s serious.

You seem to think over it for a moment, “let’s see how this works out Tobio…I didn’t say no but let’s wait a bit”

Haikyuu Boys on Winter Break With Their S/O!

Been a minute…but I have a week and a half to do whatever I want :).

Oikawa Tooru

I feel like it’s been established that Oikawa Tooru is the most Pinterest-y bf of them all

He has a list of fun winter things to do with you

From ice-skating to making cookies, he’s got it allll planned out

One particular day, he sees these marshmallow snowmen with little pretzel sticks for arms and he immediately sends it to you.

You’re over at his house half an hour later, and you set off to the grocery store to find the ingredients

However, there is one fatal flaw in your plan: a nationwide marshmallow shortage.

So…you have to improvise a little bit. That’s okay! Everybody has to once in a while.

You guys very confidently buy rice crispy cereal, and get all the way home before realizing…

“Tooru, we need fucking marshmallows for rice crispy treats.”

“Dammit”

So the marshmallow snowmen have been redesigned into cookie snowmen.

All pretty much goes smoothly from there, and the cookies end up more or less presentable to the media.

You make a Tooru-cookie and he makes a Y/N-cookie and it’s all very cute

But you’re never letting yourselves into a grocery store again because you have to actually eat the cereal now.

Tsukishima Kei

Every single winter break before he met you had been his emo, post midterm burnout recovery period.

Which consisted of him staying holed up in his room for the entirety of the break, reading, binge watching, and having no social interaction whatsoever.

You have very little problems with this, because you spend your break in a similar way.

But, you do create a list of movies you want to watch with him.

In the morning, you wake up and go over to his house, awkwardly say hi to Akiteru, and go up to his room.

You start off with the old movies from the 70’s. Kei does not appreciate the age as much as you do, but does admit that they are fun to watch.

Then horror movies, which you hate but Kei loves.

He had to start off small because you did not make it 20 minutes through A Quiet Place

But I mean he knows exactly what he’s doing when he puts on “It” and wraps his arm around your shoulder.

Your entire face his practically in his armpit before you realize.

“Kei, are you trying to wear the pants in this relationship rn”

“Yeah”

“We’re done with horror movies”

Kageyama Tobio

Man never stops the grind so he’s at the gym every day of break

The only one who actually adheres to the conditioning instructions given by coach Ukai.

You really would be a more worried about him if you didn’t know how antsy he gets when he doesn’t get active.

But he does find ample time to spend with you over the break.

Ice skating is always something he reluctantly does, because he doesn’t want to compromise his volleyball playing machine of a body

But it’s also very fun for him

He used to ice skate all the time with his sister, so he knows how to operate on ice skates

You…not so much

I mean, you’re mediocre at it. You can stand up, maybe shimmy a few feet forward, but that’s it.

So you get the whole “just stick your feet outwards more” spiel, and off you go.

He thought he was going slow, but after going one full lap around you, he figured that patience was a virtue

You’re pretty good at the end, and you finally figured out how to be mobile on the ice.

So he grabs your hand and for the last few minutes of your ticket time, you skate in circles together.

Everything is going so well. It’s so fun and nice until-

Tobio got absolutely bodied by a fourth grader going forty miles an hour on the ice and slid clear across the rink
