OKAY THIS IS A VERY RANDOM SEKAI VOCALOP DUMP BECAUSE IM GOING THROUGH A HYPERFIXATION

my autistic brain couldn't help but notice that mafumafu is the only first rotation producer who hasn't reappeared in the game since my dear come back it's been almost three years (technically police piccadilly is also missing but he's working for deco via otoiro so i assume he's involved at least somewhere)

and since i'm at it there are 11 songs where deco*27 is credited in some way 4 of them are commissions and it's upsetting and funny as hell at the same time

kemu technically didn't get a solo event but still helped deco and marasy so 0.5+0.5=1??

almost all of dreamers got niigo commissions (syudou, surii, tsumiki and niru) except for ayase and rokuro but idk if the latter is still active another unit that proseka has completed like a pokedex is elc aka heavenz harry and koyori kamitsubaki are probably next seeing how guiano moimi and misumi are on board as of now

also also!! guiano is the only one whos vs features a non-vocaloid synthesizer because he's affiliated with kafu's developers directly!!!

technically mikito pinocchio and picon are the only producers who have managed to sneak their vocals into the game kashika's original version is a duet between miku and loin but it was cut for some reason... even though roki is literally there

kujira (or whale don't sleep or whatever) has only appeared in the game during cup noodle collaboration and still hasn't been heard from

Also adding to your first point: Takuya Watanabe (commissioned for From Tokyo alonside Natsushiro Takaaki) has never had a song in the game since or before.

Some other producers that only got one song during the first year ish and never again are: Hinata Electric Works (Buriki no Dance cover), Karasuyasabou (Showtime Ruler), Umetora (Ifuudoudou cover), CRUSHER P (ECHO cover), yuukiss (Nostalogic cover), doriko (Romeo & Cinderella cover), EZFG (Totemo Itai Itagaritai cover), nanou (Hello How Are You cover) and Sohta (Ikanaide cover).

There’s probably more than that, these are just the ones I can remember. Also some of them are probably inactive or don’t have other notable songs, but I wouldn’t be able to tell you.

im still trying to come up with what suitcases normal non-depressing songs are like and what songs would even fit that cause most of the songs besides the sad ones that i have decided for them are group songs or duet songs (excluding duets with vocasynths cause those are basically just glorified solos) and that doesnt count. i feel like theyd be pretty calm most of the time but i think having a few more aggressive songs would fit too… hm…

i did mention in a previous post that characters are ‘linked’ to vocasynths, but for the life of me i cant decide who suitcase gets!!!! im thinking kafu… idk why… i just feel kafu energy… but ill think about it idk. if you wanna suggest any thats perfectly ok, but i have a mental list of whos linked with who, and although MOST vocasynths are in all sekais (its complicated for a variety of reasons) (because i dont want to put every utau in the sekai or have it be too complicated so each group has a relatively good group of vocasynths per sekai) (more than 6 though. how else am i going to make tetorei yuri real???) (and more vocasynths can be added with certain story beats and stuff but its not common) (and also for whatever reason if the character is the 4th in the unit, like how in pjsk theyre ordered a certain way, like ichika -> saki -> honami -> shiho, the last one’s link is EXCLUSIVE TO THAT SEKAI!!! i dont remember why i made that decision i think it was for reasons with the vocasynths being able to be as-close-to-real-as-they-can-get when exiting phones, like instead of just holograms, but its this whole complicated thing so idk why) (and i havent come up with an order for the grand slams) (which consists of the main four) (aka baseball nickle balloon and suitcase) (so idk how that works yet. oops) i dont want vocasynths that are already linked to other characters in other groups or in the same group to share a link. exception for groups outside of the main ones, like i have some rough concepts of bfdi character groups, who have almost nothing to do with the story excluding one specific character whom i will not name, but like if one from there shares a link with an ii group then idgaf yknow

these are a lot of rambles. jeez. uhhhhhhh i like this au a lot and i havent really shared it with anyone yet so i gotta get my crazy ideas out there yknow

kafu. it has to be kafu. yes even if i get rid of all my bias (best i can anyways) kafu is still my favorite voice wise. i don't have the language to describe why but yeah. btw i wish more people would use kafu's lower range, q'nel is one of my favorite kafu users i need more deeper kafu!! it tickles me just correct

haru... yeah she's not out yet but when her WIPs have been used correctly i've REALLY enjoyed her. she may rise in the ranks when she's publicly released and a bunch of new music comes out. i was sold when she covered Terra with harusaruhi during kamifes, one of the best performances of day 1 by a landslide

sekai... sekai is just okay, she's the only one i really don't seek out on purpose like at all. i actually really like her as a duet/secondary voice? like her covers with joucho go HARD do not get me wrong, and mikito-p just put out a song using her that i really like, but it's rare i enjoy a sekai original very much, i'd probably prefer another vocalist. her voice is just too high and not in the way i usually like out of vocalsynths? IDK

also ik u didn't ask for it but while we're at it my favorites overall including like... personality, fanon, personal interpretation, design, that sort of stuff is pretty much exactly the same as above but sekai is moved to third place LMAO funnily enough

I was going to make a top 10 list, but that was so hard, and I wasn't sure if I could really rank my faves in a meaningful, coherent way. I don't really want to say hey, this song is better than this song, you know? I love them all! And there are so many of them! Instead, I'm just going to pick some songs to highlight and then ramble under them in a very informal way.

The goddess turns the world into a dance hall (feat SV POPY & ROSE) - SLAVE.V-V-R

I've been a fan of SLAVE.V-V-R for years now, and he put out a lot of great stuff this year! We've also got Piercing the Viscera, featuring Gumi and Teto SV and LaVI-Bavellabion. I love his commitment to making over-the-top 2011-style MMD videos, too. Other standouts from his album The FICTIONER include the ensemble performance Viva! Showtime! and Carnival of Gems and Pigs which features Ci flower, to my absolute delight.

Kaleidoscope (feat. Kagamine Len) - gomen nasai ga ienakute

I'm not a fan of Len, generally, but dang I love it when a producer can make me like him. Another good song (also featuring Len) they released this year: How To Create A World (sekai no tsukurikata)

No Words (naikotoba) (feat. Kasane Teto) - mashi mayuro

I really enjoy this artist's work and this is my favorite song they released this year, I think. Also of note: Unknown Art (shiranai aato), which features a duet between Chis-A and a human vocalist.

Damatte-chan (feat. Kasane Teto) - Chinozo

Chinozo released a few bangers this year. See also: Taxi (feat. KAFU) and No Branding (feat. KAFU).

Igaku (feat. Kasane Teto [Utau]) - Sasuke Haraguchi

The recently released soto no hito is also great.

Monitoring (feat. Hatsune Miku) - Deco*27

Deco*27 has had a pretty productive year, but this one takes the top spot for me personally. I also really like HAO, Neverland, and Aitai-lians.

UTuber (feat. Hatsune Miku) - PinocchioP

This is my favorite of PinocchioP's releases this year, but they've all been fantastic, honestly. Isn't It A?, Fake Meme, and With or Without Me are instant favorites too.

Engawa (feat. flower) - Yukopi

Yukopi has continued to make some pretty cute songs after the success of Kyofuu All Back last year. I also enjoy Okiteru Daisakusen (feat. Kaai Yuki) and Help Me! Futonman! (feat. Kaai Yuki).

FIRE!!! (feat. Kasane Teto) - Jamie Paige

I can be a bit hard to sell on English Vocaloid songs, but JamieP is a pretty darn good songwriter and also does an incredible job tuning for English lyrics. Also released this year and worth your time: Machine Love (feat. Kasane Teto), ROT FOR CLOUT (feat. Kasane Teto), and I Wish That I Could Fall (feat. GUMI SV).

Shinchoku Dame Dame Desu (feat. Miyamai Moca SV) - GYARI

Another artist I've been a fan of for a while. I'm currently kind of obsessed with this one.

Binomi (feat. Hatsune Miku) - Maretu

Another one most people have probably heard already, but I can't leave it out. Other Maretu bangers this year: iya iya yo, Nyan.

This artist can be a bit hit-or-miss for me, but when he hits, he knocks it out of the park. Mushroom On My Head!! has also been on repeat frequently the past couple months.
