— out of this world (and into another) : genshin impact
Tumblr media
premise: you could've sworn the transmigration curse didn't have an effect on you... so what exactly are you doing here?! (alternatively, you tumble straight into your favorite video game; and you're kinda fucked)
...or, a genshin manhwa otome game inspired au.
act i: scaramouche, alhaitham, wriothesley.
↳ act ii: lyney, neuvilette, kazuha, kaeya. (next)
warnings. fem!reader but can be imagined as genderless if u'd like hehe, a shit ton of manhwa tropes in one, this is a hot mess aka not proofread all that much, half clunky half decent writing
a/n: as promised via the poll heh,, while i do plan to make this an actual au, im not that sure ^^; just the tip of the iceberg here tho!!
MAIN MASTERLIST | AU MASTERLIST (coming soon)
Tumblr media
YOU — unsuspecting civilian turnt transmigrator
you've always been too attached to fictional characters for your own good.
yes, even the ones that are remarkably irredeemable (the power of a backstory is very formidable) and complex (complexity is a virtue!)
villains have always been destined to die, be cursed, or destined to curse others. it was heartbreaking, really. you've wished for a chance to rewrite their fates for them to find even a sliver of happiness, even when the fate of their plot says otherwise.
which is why when you find yourself awake into the game of your dreams, “Teyvat's Seven Stars”, like any lover of cliche novel and manhwa tropes, this is the time you think that maybe life wasn't so shitty on you.
....there's only one tiny, teensy, itty bitty problem here, actually.
you're not the protagonist. you're not even one of the protagonist's faithful friends and underlings that light protagonist's road to conquering the world and its men (and as of the 4.0 update, it's women); no, you're none of those.
you're a no name extra, and not to mention, a character involved with the game's main villain characters who are coincidentally the love interests of the game's black route!

( 国崩 ) SCARAMOUCHE — the tyrant
“as of today, you will be engaged to crown prince kunikuzushi, who is her grace the shogun's rightful heir to the throne.”
when given approval to stare at your so-called soon to be husband, you expect the worst, mostly. the multitudes of character dialogue you've played through detailing his rather discourteous personality (which basically meant he was a huge asshole) don't exactly paint a pretty picture.
however...
who was this tender hearted looking scaramouche that ‘obliterated armies in the blink of an eye?’ the t in tyrant stands for tyrannical, not timid!
eyes like lighting framed by the longest eyelashes you've ever seen and an unfairly pretty face, comparable to a fair lotus. after fawning over his otherworldly countenance, a sinking realization of dread pools in your stomach.
oh, you are so screwed.
essentially tied to the indigo-haired ticking time bomb of a future tyrant due to the strong standing of your family for a period of until the main story starts, you're destined to never get crown prince scaramouche's affection, being his fiancée who scaramouche is arranged to for political means only.
not to mention, you're in an even more deadly position; of all the characters you switched souls with, it's the one that essentially dies by their own fiancé's hand because they were horrible to him! what atrocious luck!
frantic, you wrack up about three ways to survive.
plan a) win over the shogun's favor by being an appropriate partner unlike the original flavor of this body, who resorted to bullying the innocent prince and unknowingly digging their own grave or b) be a guiding friend to scaramouche as he learns the ways of the world and c) make sure you don't end up giving the protagonist a bad ending via his twisted personality.
weighing all these options, you decide to do all three in hopes to cement a life instead of a deathflag. prevention is better than the cure (aka: the protagonist) after all!
(you may also just want to spend time with your favorite character. having a time limit and a sign that says ‘i'll die in the future!’ should at least warrant you extra time to show some affection to scaramouche, at least.)
so, you do what anyone in your position would do: give affection! lots of it.
admittedly, it wasn't all flowers and rainbows. scaramouche—ahem, kunikuzushi—was very shy and reserved indeed, with his mother ei even worse off! (besides, who trains and studies all day and has to stop crying every time they were injured?! that was just too much!)
it was rather hard at first, the frigid atmosphere of the usually silent Tenshukaku Palace almost impossible to permeate. but with your amazing charm (read: deathflag radar) and social skills, you manage to let the members of the Royal family open up to you.
speaking words of praise in ei's cooking (a very difficult feat to accomplish), spending afternoons with your fiancé and teaching him ‘how to be a shoujo worthy male lead, name-version’ (very confusing to explain), and the cherry on top, driving away that vile teacher of his—the Doctor—once word got out that he'd been taking advantage of scaramouche as a political puppet king in the future. trauma enabler destroyed! look at your immeasurable powers!
(“you're not a failure.” clasping kunikuzushi's hands in yours as he reels back from you. damn that doctor.
his tears shot a wave of heartache through you. you can't bear to see your favorite in such suffering. “whatever happens in the future, i won't abandon you.
no matter what, i'll always be on your side, okay?”
kunikuzushi looks at you with something in his eyes—something like adoration. “do you promise that?”
“yeah.” you say without hesitation, the glow of the sunlight hitting your face so dazzlingly that kunikuzushi's eyes widen that his mouth hangs agape in awe. “i promise, kuni.”)
to your greatest delight, your efforts worked in your favor.
ei now spends time with her son, and though it's almost always just a tad bit awkward, you and the guuji yae miko get the two to strike up conversation, and overtime, kunikuzushi becomes more open to you.
(“[name], what kind of man is your type?”
“huh? well...” you think for a while. this was a great opportunity to say it, right? that life changing protagonist quote!
“to me, the only person i'll ever like the most is you, kunikuzushi.”
“do you really, really mean that?” and oh, he looks so cute—flustered and red from your words. worth it.
“yup! now, i made some shimi chazuke, try some—”)
(admittedly, lots of favoritism is involved.)
—and while you reap the fruits of your hard work, you spend warm, sunlit afternoons with ei at tea, even learning about other nations from scaramouche's aunt nahida and even befriended a few of his future affiliates—childe (though for some reason, kunikuzushi always pulls you away from him whenever he spots the two of you together), signora (she tolerates you, you think) and etcetera.
(“then, if i do well, can you kiss me on the cheek, [name]?”
you agree, much to his delight. scaramouche avoids the gaze of a certain pink haired fox eyeing him questionably. unbeknownst to you, he glares at the woman's scrutiny.)
unprecedented things unrelated to the plot happen too; like how your family, which basically only saw you as a political bargaining chip and an unwanted child they could get rid of easily—no longer sent you any demeaning letters demanding money once scaramouche found out....
(“they've been leeching off of you for how long?” so scary... is this was kunikuzushi is like when he's worried?)
(“...kunikuzushi, how long will you keep up that weak-hearted facade of yours? if they find out how.... dishonest you are....”
“i don't need the reminders of a foxy old hag that doesn't know her place. this is fine as it is.”)
(you don't need to know.)
but, you're nothing compared to the inevitable flow of the plot. inazuma is wracked with war, and it just so happened that you'd been unceremoniously kidnapped by a certain resistance leader's trusted general, used as a hostage bargain for approximately the majority of your life. in the worst moments in your dreary cell, there's only one thought in your mind.
....kunikuzushi's face, devastated when he tries to reach for you, before slipping away from him like sand— face morphing into an unbridled state of rage that's too natural, too familiar. when did he learn to make a face like that?
(they say the kingdom was wracked with thunderstorms all night that day.)
afterwards, fate doesn't make it kind for you.
years go by in the blink of an eye, with your capture fervently forgotten in the midst of the growing animosity of the two conflicting forces.
although you did hear that yae sent out a search party for you while at the resistance's base, the shogun's forces never reached you.
eventually, you got released secretly by sympathy of kokomi, the leader of the resistance, who felt pity for you getting caught in the crossfire. letting you go under the condition that you'd likely never meet any of the precious characters you've gotten to know and change was a heavy price to pay, but you didn't have any choice.
indeed, no matter how much you tried to divert the plot, your duty as an extra has ended, and you were even lucky to even be alive. you could only hope that your fiancé—ex-fiancé—took note of your lessons well, bidding farewell to inazuma as you hop on the boat to mondsdat.
by now, you at least hoped that scaramouche and the protagonist met, his true chance at happiness starting now that you were basically dead.
(even if your heart felt like breaking into a million pieces.)
....is what you thought would happen, but why is it that after three years from your supposed capture, inazuma was still at war?
“that crazy prince... he's still working to find his former fiancée... and he's razing almost every village apart looking for them!”
“—didn't the shogunate say that whoever finds her would receive almost 3 million mora?”
“the entire lot of them are lunatics, i tell you. all because of a missing person, too!”
what's more, why was it still going because of you?!
Tumblr media
( 艾尔海森 ) AL-HAITHAM: the information guild master
to be fair, normal people don't really run into one of their favorite characters often after transmigrating.
but to be fair, again, you certainly didn't think you'd actually be in your favorite video game franchise caged in bed with essentially one of its main love interests.
eyes wide and unceremoniously looking—definitely not ogling— at the toned body that's currently enveloping you in its arms, the soft tuft of ashy gray hair caressing the crook of your neck, murmuring incoherent mumbles of—is that another language?
???????
you blink, looking down at the bare body currently embracing you. oh. oh.
you're an extra.
you're just an extra, but why are you in bed, currently being served breakfast by the most gorgeous man you've ever laid your eyes on, with a pretty view of the rainforests' canopy?
“you should lie down. if i recall, sufficient sleep is required in order for the human body to perform its basic bodily functions. although our partnership is temporary, to let you fall to harm is a situation i'd like to avoid as much as possible.”
“....what?”
“...?”
the guild master, al-haitham, is a character in Teyvat's Seven Stars that is heavily debated on whether he's technically a villain or not. in the game, he's the right hand of sumeru's leader, nahida, working as the overseer of the AKASHA, a guild that gathers information to the nation's leader. he's a pretty shady character—always working behind the scenes and very unfalteringly blunt—and a ‘villain’ for crown prince scaramouche's route, helping the protagonist escape his clutches.
he's often the subject of comedic ire, his banters with a certain broke architect always the highlight of any bonafide al-haitham fan.
“we're expected to work together by lord kusanali's decree in the duration of investigating the hivemind project the lord suspects the baron siraj is partaking in.”
right, that one scene in the game where al-haitham needed to go undercover to infiltrate a coup de etat staged by one of the factions against nahida... right... what.
you were that extra! the one that fell in love with him and pined for his affection!
(“well, i get that part, but does sleeping together really have to play a part in this...?”
al-haitham gives you a mere quirk of the lip, tilting his head. “we do have to play the part of a married couple in dire straights, do we not? this cover is more efficient.
...besides, i don't have anything to complain about. you're certainly better company than kaveh.” )
in truth, al-haitham wasn't bad company. far from it. aside from the internal giggling and fangirling (you) and the incredible stack of books (alhaitham) that you have to see more than the grey haired man on a daily basis, the two of you work out a rapport that stems from memories of the body you transmigrated in.
he's nice to be around, surprisingly considerate when he wants to be—he tells you about the books he always reads....
(who even reads ‘20 Tongues Language Memorization Guidebook: A Basic Overview of Vocabulary and Terms’ for enjoyment?
the content makes your head run in circles because of how complicated it is; but who wouldn't like to listen to an extremely attractive man overexplain to you with a calm and pretty voice?)
...is generous enough to provide meals and cook dinners that have you crying tears of gratitude because you know how awful yours compares (it was either too bland or too seasoned; al-haitham is surprisingly picky when he wants to be)
(you assigned al-haitham the title of “absolute s-tier husband material”— his capabilities are out of this world!)
by chance, you once gave al-haitham a little tidbit of information that proved to be valuable later in the investigation—courtesy of your avid game knowledge—when you two had been lost to the psychological illusion magic cast by siraj when you two finally broke in his estate.
(“whatever happens, if siraj messes with your mind, just make sure to think of me instead of anything else.” al-haitham lets his hand find yours.
“you once asked me if i trusted you, [name].”
“....” you're treated to one of al-haitham's rare smiles, one that warms you up from within. “i do. so don't let yourself get hurt.”)
however, your temporary partner had faltered for once, flinching when siraj took the form of his old grandmother who'd passed to exploit al-haitham's mind, hesitating and frozen in place while siraj inched ever closer to finding out his weakness.
and you couldn't stand it, the character you cared for—the al-haitham that always had a plan, always knew how to stay calm, had looked so unsure and hopeless.
(“wake up, al-haitham!”
with you cradling his face, al-haitham stares back at the only constant in the memories of his grief, eyes meeting yours. “you don't have to do it all alone. i'm right here, aren't i? believe in me.”)
your (fake) husband snaps back to reality, finally allowing enough time to apprehend siraj and put a stop to his malicious project.
(“thank you.” al-haitham tells you solemnly. it hits you that this may be the last time you may ever see him. “i'm grateful that you brought me back to y— to my senses.”
there's a sincerity in your voice that rings from your heart. “anytime, al-haitham.”)
you thought that was the end of it.
defeating siraj meant you two no longer had to associate with each other, but somehow, to your great surprise, al-haitham doesn't stick to the plot at all. you were sure you didn't interfere with the game, though?
for some reason, al-haitham doesn't erase himself from your life, unlike the original route's flow.
in fact, he's become... easy to run into, a constant in your otherwise mundane life. he takes you out to lambad's tavern for an occasional drink, says he's lending you his headphones when you find yourself overwhelmed by the city (you were never good with noises) and even helps you out as you vent your problems to him.
(the day after, said problem conveniently disappears. how strange....)
and most of all, allowing you to enter his personal space... leaving kaveh's jaw dropping when he accuses al-haitham of having a lover.
“you're always going who knows where with them! what else is there to figure out?”
“...we are merely friends.”
“a friend that you let into your personal library? do they know that you still keep the ‘fake’ ring in a box inside the closet?” kaveh laughs. “nice try, al-haitham.”
(after all, kaveh could never unsee the way al-haitham's eyes softened at the feeling of the head on his shoulder lean onto him, with you no doubt asleep. he even took his headphones off! kaveh has never seen him actually take them off in order to keep the person who's sleeping on his shoulder as undisturbed as possible.
in fact, kaveh doesn't think he's ever seen al-haitham be this touchy or considerate with anyone this much before.
.....and most importantly, kaveh would never forget the way al-haitham, a man who found no merit in politeness and preferred bluntness, a man who preferred solitude rather than company—deliberately getting close to someone—pressing a fleeting kiss on the crown of your head.
kaveh blinks. it seems even the throes of love can reach even the most unconquerable of peaks....)
Tumblr media
( 莱欧斯利 ) WRIOTHESLEY — the monster duke of the north
“—i need you to gather information on duke wriothesley. serve him undercover as one of the prisoners of the fortress.”
the duke of meropide—a man swamped with terrible rumors. they say he was exiled from the nation due to murdering his entire family. they say he possessed a face worthy of the title of a beast— grotesque, littered in scars. they say that any who end up in his estate, the iron prison of the north, meropide, never saw the light of day again.
(“only criminals of the worst kind are fated to be sentenced there. nobody returns, so we've stopped questioning it...” )
so to say you're not fearing for your life that bad right now is a massive understatement.
“now, mind telling me how you were able to sneak into the most impenetrable prison in all the land, miss prisoner?”
how did it end up like this?
so you wake up and find yourself in jail. lovely.
seriously, of all the places you can transmigrate into, why did it have to be fontaine?! Teyvat's Seven Stars chapter 4's main starting point, the nation of justice is littered with dark themes and high difficulty capture targets.
.... such is the case with the man in front of you. unlike what the rumors of him say, duke wriothesley paints a rugged yet dashing picture of a nobleman, even if he was —if you recall— one of the hardest capture targets to conquer in the game.
a villain character who you played once during one game route, acting as the driving force during one of the love events of one of the protagonist's other love interest, lyney. duke wriothesley almost assassinates lyney's younger brother, freminent, leading lyney to rally up a certain group to bring the nobleman down.... a typical side character villain, who's existence was added as late as 3 patches away from lyney's.
(even inazuma would be better than this! at least the tyrant route could be avoided, and let's not mention the easy sumeru route as well...)
“well, miss prisoner, cat got your tongue?”
in summary: fortunately for you, the body you transmigrated is in the position to spy on the current affairs of the fortress of meropide, with courtesy and with permission of one of Fontaine's leaders, neuvillette. unfortunately for you, it seems our dear monsieur wasn't able to inform wriothesley beforehand, leading to the current situation.
aka, you're pressed dangerously close to wriothesley's chest, with a knife at his throat and his hands pinning you against the wall, noses almost touching. you're not sure if this is even the kind of tension that two people who are trying to kill each other are supposed to have...
(“i'm an ally!” you sputter out. wriothesley raises an eyebrow at you. “monsieur neuvillette sent me.”
“how am i supposed to trust you after i saw you slinking around here, knife at my throat?” he replies, eyes narrowing. “i know that i'm labelled as a beast, but i don't really know what came over that pretty little head of yours when trying to sneak into my chambers.”
what does he take you for?! “...are you accusing me of something indecent?!”
“just saying — i've met lots of prisoners with your excuse, my lady.”
“i'm prepared to use this knife, you know.”
“hah.” wriothesley grins. “how aggressive. more aggressive than most. do you want me that bad?”
“stop twisting my words!”)
in any case, you hate wriothesley. you know he's one of the characters in Teyvat's Seven Stars and is a villain for one of the easy love interest routes in the game, but his personality is... a real piece of work.
you'd rather the protective and kind kazuha, or even the charming and elusive lyney! why did it have to be him?
not only did he not believe you, he even told you to prove your authenticity! you're just glad that his assistant sigewinne had been there to vouch for you — you're not sure if you'd even be on your two feet right now if she didn't.
so now you're stuck constantly on your feet, running to and fro — helping the dark-haired man record new prisoners, establishing trading routes to the main city of Fontaine, and treating other prisoners of the fortress with sigewinne.
your biggest surprise by far, though, is just how... different the duke is from the rumors. his scars were merely battle scars of honor (to which sigewinne rolls her eyes, “your grace, please stop trying to look cool”) he got from various succession fights, not scars to show how he was cursed to turn into a beast. he has a love for tea, but always seems to have a cup of your favorite blend with him when you feel tired after a long day of working (laboring) for him and the estate.
(“your daily report of new convicts, your grace.”
“-this is the tea you like, your grace. i've prepared it in advance.”
“you're very adamant on proving yourself. aren't you sick of such tasks by now, miss prisoner?”
“no.” wriothesley's expression screams 'why not?' on it. “ it's because of my own misjudgement of you.”
“...elaborate.”
“i may have had unnecessary prejudices on your conduct thus far. but you're... not like what the rumors paint you out to be.” you say sincerely. “you're more amazing and incredible than anyone else. i truly do admire you.”
wriothesley's expression; you couldn't decipher it. “i see.”)
he's battered, but caring. sigewinne makes you watch (in horror) as she doodles cartoonish looking characters on his face when he's asleep — wriothesley never fusses, only an exasperated sigh to his assistant. he's harsh with his tasks and duties, but is the first to rush you into sigewinne's infirmary to tend to you after you pass out from overwork.
(“don't worry, [name]. the duke may not look it, but he's very gentle!” sigewinne giggles. humoring the little girl who was the first to show you actual decency in this place, you try to nod. sigewinne doesn't seem convinced.
“i'm serious! after all, compared to other people who've snuck into the fortress, you're the first he's treated this way.” she says cheerily.
“what does that mean?” you can't help but scoff at that. “so he just works someone to the bone from the get go?” you shudder. damn production zone...
sigewinne blinks. “ oh no, not like that. it's just that he's never been so lenient before. in fact, when you fainted, he even gave me the order to prioritize treating you over anything else.”)
well, this wasn't exactly what you thought you would be doing when you transmigrated into your favorite game, but you suppose you can take it.
besides, you'd miss a certain duke otherwise. life truly is full of strange twists....
Tumblr media
a/n: thank you for making it this far! if anyone asks why wriothesley's was short, listen, this was completely impulsive and i was out of inspiration LOL, but i do hope you enjoy! look forward to new parts though hehe :3

No, cause if you think about it, Kaeya never appears without purpose and intent. You might be like “duh that’s what every character is” but think about Childe, or Jean, Barbara, collei, the list goes on. They always appear with fun, happy reasons behind it, but not Kaeya.
He’s not the only character- Albedo shares this as well with how he mostly only appears to drop some lore bombs about khaenriah and gold and then disappears for another year, but it’s still different for Kaeya. He appears during events not only to give us lore, but always, without fail, to reveal something about himself.
Proof? Okay, the 1.4 windblume festival. Kaeya does a silly little poem class with Venti- surprise, he’s threatening him with a Khaenri’ahn message that says “I will triumph over you” and even when you debunk that, you can still see how Barbatos treats him as his own despite whatever stipulations about his heritage there are. 1.6 midsummer islands- Kaeya and diluc both reminisce their childhood, and it’s the first reveal that shows us just how close they really were. After that, he disappears for while, until boom- hidden strife in 2.8, where we find out the real details of his fight with diluc and how they grew apart- but it’s hinted they still care for each other. It also tells us a little about Kaeya’s lore and family, how they took over as regents, which adds to the real gravity of their fight- telling us he’s not just a poor kid from khaenriah, he’s the last real heir to the throne. After that, winelesefest, where it shows us how Kaeya and Diluc are right now, how theyre obviously missing each other and it’s very obvious that they care for each other deeply. That kinda ties up the whole ragbros story for now, and after that it becomes serious.
He appears again in the Caribert quest for us to find out he’s the heir of the organization of vengeful Khaenri’ahns turned monsters who want to take down the gods. He claims to not be affiliated with them in any way- but it leaves the question in everyone’s minds, “what else is he hiding from us?”
Now, he’s recently appeared once again for the 3.8 summer festival, and it looks really innocent and fun and just another way of showing us how kind he really is, until you realize that Kaeya’s outfit from this version describes how much he really hates the burden on his shoulders and how he wishes he was never forced to be an agent of khaenriah.
If you ask me, we’re past the point of just getting to know Kaeya and who he is on a personality basis, and are now getting into the real gravity of his identity as the last hope of the Khaenri’ahn kingdom. It’s really building up how important he’s going to be to the endgame of the whole archon quest storyline and how much of a key role he will actually play. Man I’m so hyped!!

Royalty AU! AU summary below! ✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Royalty AU + Omegaverse + a bit Furry)
Mondstadt. Kingdom of crops, large meadows and good wine. Most of its inhabitants are winged beings (For example Jean is an eagle, Kaeya a peacock. But there are other animals like Diluc who is a lion or Klee a bunny!)
It is ruled by Decarabian (Alpha, bluish black wings) and his wife Istaroth (Omega, white wings) Their heirs are the Bard (Who I call Dorian in my AUs until Mihoyo gives me his damn name) (Beta, tan wings) and Venti (Omega, white wings with turquoise accents) they are twins!
Decarabian was unfaithful, her lover was Amos which caused Istaroth to execute her and leave the kingdom, leaving Deca as a single father, LOL. He totally invested in his little children. Super protective father.
Dorian being the oldest for a few minutes and a Beta was chosen to occupy the throne when Decarabian passes the command or is no longer there. He was raised to be the next king, although he hates the word "rule" he prefers to say that he took care of Mondstadt.
But two years ago Dorian contracted the terrible disease of eleazar, he was on the verge of death then but he survived. He now has to rest a lot, suffers from fatigue and muscle pain, sometimes black scales grow on his body causing numbness.
Decarabian searched for the best doctor specialized in the disease, who turned out to be the Fenec Tighnari (Omega) of Sumeru, where this disease is somewhat more common there. Tighnari travels from time to time to treat Dorian.
When the scales cover a certain amount of his body they must be removed, this is very painful and Dorian spends a lot of time in bed, although when he feels better he usually plays music in the garden.
His personal guard the Red Knight (A lion Alpha, I called him Brend because I don't have his name either) has been in charge of his care since he contracted the disease and spending so much time together sparked the spark of love!!
A secret love, of course, only Venti and some gossips like Kaeya (Omega, Captain of the cavalry and Venti's best friend) know about it.
All this made Dorian unable to govern properly, there is no cure for his disease and they know that if it worsens he will not live much longer. So Decarabian, much to his regret, had to pass on to his second son, Venti.
But since we're in a dumb old monarchy, an omega can't rule by itself! So Deca must make an arranged marriage for his precious omega son (Imagine Decarabian raging here, no one touches his child)
And of the 6 kingdoms that remain, what better than to ally with the beautiful neighboring kingdom? Liyue! A huge kingdom, full of mountains and a booming economy with its huge port. The Liyue royals have money, trade, good relations with the other kingdoms, they are perfect.
Liyue is ruled under the harsh dynasty of Osial (Alpha Blue Dragon) his wife Beisht (Quillin Omega) his eldest son and heir Zhongli (Alpha Dragon-Quilin) his middle sister Ninnguang (Alpha white and gold Dragon) and little sister Ganyu ( Quilin Omega)
Zhongli has a complex because he is the only one who is a mix, he is embarrassed by the soft golden hair on his tail, and his father does not hide his disgust.
So Osial does not hesitate to accept the neighboring kingdom's offer, it is his chance to gain territory and get his son out of sight, leaving his favorite daughter Ningguang in control of the port.
In order not to look bad in front of the other nations, Decarabian throws one of his famous parties, this time with the theme of courting his son. Although he has a contract prepared for Liyue.
At the party Venti is very upset to find out about this whole thing, but he meets Zhongli and they hit it off right away! Despite being a dragon he is not scary like the Kitsune that Ianzuma rules (Ei is here, sent by Makoto, her courtship fails even though she was not interested lol)
Still things are awkward and embarrassing between them! They dance, and Venti is fascinated by the sparkling jewels that decorate Zhongli's horns (He likes things that sparkle, he's a bird) Zhongli gives him one of his chains, making a small bracelet as a courtship gift.
They are cute! Meanwhile Osial only examines Venti with disgust, but approves of his wide hips which will be useful for egg-laying, the contract calls for an heir after all.
After the dance, the next day it is announced that Zhongli was the winner of the courtship and the arranged marriage is official!
Venti wants to run away from all this, and refuse marriage, at least leave it for a few years to really meet Zhongli. But Osial threatens that if they don't get married now, Dorian will have to marry Ganyu.
Zhongli is horrified because his sister is still very young, and Venti does not intend to destroy the life of his brother who is in love with his knight, besides that stress could worsen his illness.
So Venti accepts the marriage.
There is a lot of drama and many more characters here! But maybe one day I'll be encouraged to write fic! For the moment I will continue roleplaying happily with my homie and making silly drawings of this
Thank you for reading!

Kaeya sends the last (real) Treasure Hoarder running and then rounds on them—
Kokomi blocks—pulls her mask down—
Kaeya immediately banishes his sword, steps back; “Sorry about that, I didn’t recognise you.” Then he’s all charming smiles. “What brings you to this neck of the woods?”
Bitterly, Kokomi replies, “A few too many assassins in Inazuma for everyone else’s comfort."
With great sadness, Kaeya says, “Then I’m afraid you’ve come to the wrong place.” He smirks, indicating himself. “Mondstadt’s most eligible grandson.”
Dryly, Kokomi asks, "Arsenic and old lace?"
Sara says, “I fail to see how that’s relevant.”
“I must ask your pardon,” says Kokomi. “I neglected to make introductions.” She catches Kaeya’s eye. “This is Kujou Sara, general first class of the armed forces of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder; Shogun of Inazuma.” Then, to Sara, “It is my pleasure to introduce His Royal Highness, Kaeya Ragnvindr né Alberich, heir apparent to the former throne of Khaenri’ah, and my fiancé.”
Sara ….
With a flourish, Kaeya bows deeply.
“You planned this.”
Kokomi tilts her head. “Planned what?” An edge glints in her eye. “The Vision Hunt Decree? The war? The formal treaty? The assassinations? Or did I just manipulate Thoma into suggesting Mondstadt as a destination such that I could go on an illicit honeymoon?”
(There are some possible futures, Kokomi knows, where the answer to the first two questions is “yes”. As to whether this is one of them, she remains mum.)

@mercyburned : PLOTTED STARTER , DAINSLEIF / KAEYA ;;
This must be PUNISHMENT for his failures. For the fall of a people, a KINGDOM, he could not protect, as if the CURSE that burdened him was not more than enough of a painful reminder. Mondstadt is NOWHERE near this desolate pit of cursed history, yet the PRINCE he'd been watching over for nearly two dozen years stands but a handful of feet away from him, SILENT as they eyed these ailing hilichurls with the Traveler he THOUGHT he'd be journeying with solo.
Tumblr media
" We should keep moving, " he urges, despite WISHING he could allow the rightful heir to the throne time to PROCESS what was, clearly, quite the impactful revelation. For as long as he could remember, he'd thought about what he would SAY to Kaeya, should a day come where they were able to meet, face to face, and yet . . . that day, now here and UNEXPECTED, has left him thieved of what to tell this man whose entire life was, in some ways, a lie.
This wasn't the time, OR the place . . . but, as he trailed at a notably favored position behind Kaeya, rather than the TRAVELER, watchful for anything that may tear asunder the remnants of yearning ATTACHMENT he possessed for the last, remaining Khaenri'an to walk Teyvat, he was thinking of ways to, finally, stop being cruelly DISTANT.
Kaeya deserved to know . . . and Dainsleif didn't want for much. Didn't ask, never pleaded, but this . . . Kaeya . . . he woefully needed, as that last symbol of HOPE he could cling to.

*Khaenrian triumph AU*
Could you write headcanons of one of Kaeya's 7? wives not respecting him much, because he doesn't act like how she expected the Saviour of Khaenri'ah to be, he is ruminating and drinks way too much in private and ignores her health advise by telling her it's his problem what he does/he is the Emperor of Khaenri'ah he can do what he wants whenever he wants with a smirk. She is an ISTJ very serious and a bit older than him and is not fond of the mondstädter parts of him that still remains.
And he can't just divorce her because she belongs to the khaenrian nobility that brings the most military might (the cringe ruin robots) and is the mother of his first born.
Maybe part of him appreciates that she isn't a sugartalker and tells him things as it is.
Khaenrian triumph AU
One of Kaeya's wives has been nothing but problematic, even before they married.
Unlike the other 6, she always goes against his word and tells him how a real savior should act.
She does care for him, as she's constantly trying to get him to take care of himself and drink less, but he never listens to her.
"I think I can handle myself just fine."
A few times, she tried to rouse the other six wives into backing her up, but none of them had the backbone she had, and they always flaked in the end.
There were many times Kaeya and her had arguments, getting to the point that he was thinking about divorcing her.
One time when she brought up the Mondstadt part of him and how he needs to let it go, you could practically see the steam coming out of his ears.
No matter how often he thought of it, he couldn't divorce her. Besides the fact she was the mother of his firstborn, the next heir to the throne. She was of nobility and an essential pawn for keeping the peace.
Deep down, however, he does appreciate that she is so headstrong, but he rarely shows that to her.
In his older years, he started to appreciate her more. Their fights weren't as explosive, and sometimes he actually listened to what she said. But he never stopped drinking.
Tumblr media
Sorry about all the trouble with this ask! I hope you enjoy <3

Tumblr media
A/N: Another scenario that came in my head in the middle of doing plates at two in the morning. MC is from Khaenri'ah. But to be specific? Ehe, she's a part of the Eclipse Dynasty!
I am so into royalty and I think it's showing-
✤ she/her
✤ Mentions of death and violence
✤ Lis: Albedo, Dainsleif, Kaeya, Venti, Zhongli, AbyssPrince!Aether
✤ Concept: The male Heir in the BP cutscene (MC thinks it's Aether-) helped flourish Khaenri'ah + Khaenri'ah was destroyed by the Seven and the Heavenly Principles
≿————- ★ ————-≾
A region without a deity. No one thought it to be possible, yet here, your Kingdom stands, the quintessential example of the impossible and the taboo. Defying the natural order is what you and your people have been doing, yet still, everyone is happy. You've heard all about it from your father, the King, who spoke of stories upon stories about the upbringing of Khaenri'ah and its advancement over Teyvat. It begins with an ambitious young man who bears the likeness of the sun, and a few of the people who follow his ideals, to recreate the nation he flourished over time.
"He did not wish to be a leader, however," your father had spoken. "Because in the first place he did it for the people, not for himself."
So it's the people themselves who chose their King, and the man of the sun, deeming his work done, retreated into the shadow. It was only when the nation he helped bring up was in trouble did he ever reappear. You've never seen him once —not yet, but you didn't know that— and your father often finds it funny that you dream of the sunchild like an eager kid would do. But eventually, the wish becomes a transient memory from your childhood. And you grow up to learn the ways of handling the rich Kingdom of Khaenri'ah. It had been going well. But you were unaware of the growing greed in your father's heart as well as some of your people as he set foot to allow the creations of Rhinedottir flock and bring about an order against the divine overseer in the heavens. To the weaponry, machinery, and artificial beings created by Alchemists in pursuit of their idealized justice against the Heavenly Principles, you turn a blind eye. All until you couldn't, any longer. Until the cataclysm unfolded — and the Kingdom was made a witness to Divine Punishment.
it was a miracle that you had been saved from such consequence, though up 'till the present day you think that you're unworthy of such mercy, and should've shouldered the same suffering your people did.
Tumblr media
Dainsleif
Inarguably one of the closest to you and your father, being a part of the ranks meant to protect the royal family. His surreptitious nature does not stave you from befriending him—and it doesn't seem to go any farther than that. He is the Knight your father has assigned to be at your side after taking note of your close friendship with him, and it's a title you gladly remind the blue-eyed swordsman. A close friend and a protector. He'll go silent when pressed with state affairs, mainly the machinery of 'peace' being made by the Kingdom. Dain doesn't seem to favor the presence of gods and is actually wary of them, going as far as to argue with the King one night about 'daring to test the patience of the divine'. It was an argument that cost the both of you your friendship, for after that debate with your father, after you came to console him — Dainsleif had left. And you never saw him again... until centuries later.
"Father...!"
"Run... [Name],"
SPLAT!
Violet is meant to be beautiful, and though it does present itself that way as it coursed through the neck of the King in a bout of a second, it's instead horrific when complemented with red.
Godly beings decked from head to toe in white and purple stands before the set of thrones, the sympathy in her eyes clouded by order and obedience.
Your breath hitches when those eyes land on your frozen form and albeit horror swarms through your limbs when the woman begins to traipse towards you, you can't find yourself to move.
It is only when she had solemnly uttered a, "I'll make it swift, child," did you recover from the iciness—and you're bolting down the hall.
"Dainsleif!" you remember crying out, voice tight as you saw the raging inferno outside the palace. "Dainsleif, where are you!?"
There are screams and pleas for help everywhere. Your people—slaughtered.
You can faintly recall being hurried to your room by one of the other Twelve Knights, but the details are nowhere near close to the one you have of the massacre.
And of the man you've searched for in desperation.
"Your Royal Highness..." the look in his eyes is something you can savor for eternity. "... [Name]."
Now he speaks your name with the same sentiment you've had for him five hundred years ago. The Traveler at his side, Lumine, eyes him in confusion, probably wondering how you are attributed to the bough keeper.
Though the blonde can't focus too much on him now that she's face to face with her own twin sibling standing at your side.
Oh, Dain, how you've changed. You exhale softly, clasp on the sword you've used to save the Abyss Herald growing tight.
"You're alive, but- how is this possible-"
Ah yes. He's traveled with Aether, has seen the other side of the Abyss, yet he's never once seen you. Naturally, seeing you alive—and free from the curse that has been put on your people—has taken him by surprise.
Shaking your head, you turn your back against him, like did to you—to your father, to Khaenri'ah, when they needed him.
When you needed him.
"Farewell, Knight." you hope your voice of indifference is able to pierce through his wall. You've a feeling it did, but you aren't looking back to see. "May the blade of your sword never rust."
Not once did he look over his shoulder the night he had fought with your father, not once did he glance your way before he disappeared.
So you have no problem returning the same thing he had done as you enter the abyssal portal with the Herald acting as your close guardian.
You have no problem disappearing on him when he follows close behind in a futile endeavor to catch up. He had trampled over your hopes and desperations.
So would you.
Tumblr media
Kaeya
You've heard of Khaenri'ah's saving grace. Throughout his journey, you've personally seen to it that you monitor him just in case things get awry. And it's not because you're worried over matters concerning your ruined Kingdom, but because the eye-patched man is a part of your people. He has suffered a great length of tribulation to get to where he is now, and you make sure to remind him of it whenever possible, though doing so now that he is a Captain has become increasingly difficult. So on certain nights, you will rendezvous with him and simply catch up. You are a secret known only to very few people, and he plans to keep it that way. Not only must your life be kept a secret, but the identity and the crown over your head, as well.
A timeless princess.
Kaeya's heard all about it, and dare he confirms its legitimacy? Yes, though he dare not speak of it so casually, wary that he may upset the girl.
For that princess no longer has a place of her own, nor people to look over. No longer does she bear the crown, for she's long since absconded the throne when the Kingdom had been set into ruins.
Still, Kaeya thinks of her as royalty.
"In the end, when it is brought from the ground up, only you will lead us again. Don't you think so, princess?" he hums one silent night as he offers you a sweet treat.
Plopping the delicacy in your mouth, you close your eyes, trying to revisit the same grandeur the palace had in your memories. Alight in gold, pearl, and marble, nothing else can compare.
But such prettiness can now only be revisited by the mind, no longer by the person.
"It is not wrong to dream, but see to it that it is a dream that can spare your life," you smile at him, patting his shoulder like you'd do when he was a child.
"You're one of the last few, Alberich... I didn't look after you from afar to have you throw your life away for my sake."
He chuckles, nodding and abiding by what was requested of him.
The night grows steadily silent afterward, nothing but the lulling sound of the wind encapsulates the cliffside. It is a transient kind of peace, at least for him.
Whenever he looks at the timeless royal occupying his right, her eyes will always be faraway, clouded and troubled. Without a doubt, lost in the past as always.
In times like these did Kaeya sometimes wished he'd been there to see the horrors for himself because at least then, the royal would have someone who shares the bitterness of long ago.
He hums, fingers clasping around a thin, circular branch he managed to find on the ground.
The sound of frost has you looking at the man, only to blink steadily when he places a crown fashioned of ice on your head.
The circumference is cushioned by a garland of tiny flowers, therefore leaving no lingers of frostbite when put on.
"Wipe the frown off, it sullies your beauty."
Kaeya winks.
"I promise you, one day, you'll return to your people and they, to you. Then you'd bear the grace and power of the royal you once were to them."
Tumblr media
Albedo
When he first opened his eyes and was deemed to be a successful creation, you were there. A beauty confined in a garden of thorns is how Albedo would describe you. His master told him that who he just met was the Princess of the current dynasty, Eclipse, and if he so wished, she could arrange a meeting. He liked that, but the meeting never came. Not until centuries later, actually. Long overdue. When he had been investigating the bolstered creatures influenced by Durin in the snowcaps of Dragonspine, the same beauty hailing from the antiquity of his memories appeared, seemingly untouched by snow. Spared from the curse that plagued the people of Khaenri'ah.
Albedo reminds you heavily of the female Alchemist, both in how driven they are to search for greatness and life. Its impressiveness is almost sickening. They are both bombs in waiting.
But this primordial creation has something that Rhinedottir has less; humanity, which is ironic, given Albedo's artificiality.
Perhaps that is why you are able to tolerate his presence and eventually find him endearing. That's of course, outside the times he asks for permission to experiment on you.
You let him do it, sometimes.
For there in you resides a bleak hope that the curse on your people can be lifted by Alchemy. And no one but Albedo will be able to do it.
"Your blood astounds me to this day," it's just now that you're reminded of his bluntness as he collects another sample of your blood for his experiments.
He lifts the test tube, showing to you a glistening hue of [c].
"It had been red before," you inform him, giving your thanks after he patches the small wound up. "It changed after I went to find a home in the Abyss. It's a nice change."
If he's glad about the new bout of knowledge about your origin, he doesn't show it so candidly. He has an immaculate skill of hiding his reactions for some reason.
It used to unnerve you, but now? Not so much.
He sees you out to the entrance of his camp, boots being eaten by the snow.
It will be a long time before you'll show up again. A few months, if he's lucky. It has him sighing mutedly.
"I've always wanted to meet you ever since I saw you in my Master's office..."
"Oh?" You stop in your tracks to look at him over your shoulder.
So he remembers the time when you first saw one another? That had been so long ago...
Still, the thought has you smiling, bemused.
"I'll return to you, Albedo, you can count on that."
His gloved hand attempts to catch one of the diamonds that appeared as you vanish into the abyss, the trail of stars being the only trace of your presence.
He hums, eyes staring through the heavy snowfall.
"I will wait, then... Princess."
Tumblr media
Venti
The Windborne Bard could recall in vivid detail the blood that had been spilled in the cataclysm. He does not like such things, of course, but he hadn't been able to do anything but obey. An Archon he may be, he remains a pawn to the Heavenly Principles, a fact he detests the most. Power always comes with sacrifice, after all. When he had smitten Khaenri'ah with tempests and gales as sharp as silver blades, the color of his Anemo couldn't almost be seen. Far too stained with red. When the people were at his mercy, their screams can't be heard through the turbulence. So, until the present day, the echoes of the cries he has turned away from remains as haunting as ever. And he didn't like it — doesn't like remembering something he was made to do.
He cannot believe his eyes.
It seems like a bad twist of fate has made itself known in the form of a [c]-haired female who appears strikingly similar to the last princess of the Eclipse Dynasty.
A reincarnation? The logical cogs in his mind turn. He's a second away from believing this theory, but the way she stared at him as if familiarizing him from someplace is too much.
He knows it's her.
But how? He wonders as he ambles towards her closer, making his way through the crowd, his performance long forgotten. How are you alive?
Was the Electro Archon unsuccessful? She had been the one to go after the royals inside the palace.
Venti is at a loss by the time he's standing in front of you, teal and aquamarine eyes wide in what you can decipher is fear and genuine surprise. The crowd has long since dispersed after finding out that the bard's performance will be done for another time, leaving the two of you by the plaza.
You raise your fingers, brushing through the bard's bangs whilst keeping a pointed stare against his eyes.
Unlike before —unlike centuries ago— they lack the hostility, which you suppose is natural, for war has worn him out. The danger in his optics is reminiscent of the Electro Archon's.
For some reason, they only ever appeared hostile because they too had been following orders.
"By the gateway to Celestia, you sing praises of the old world..." you swallow thickly, "Forgetting the destruction you've dealt upon my land. Does it not mar your conscience at all, Barbatos?"
His breath hitches at the usage of his name and you drop your fingers, averting your gaze with a sigh.
It's useless to question the conscience of a murderer.
The bard catches your wrist before you can leave and you recoil in shock, catching the burst of eagerness in his face.
"You of all people, who have studied the heavens, should know that what we've done was out of—"
"I'd like it if you are to let go of me, dear bard. My Prince would not like this."
He lets go, stunned. Prince?
As far as he knew, you hadn't been betrothed to anyone during your prime. So who-
His eyes widen. Could it be?
The smile on your face is bittersweet.
"Best watch your nation, Barbatos. We wouldn't like it to be the receiving end of a destructive encore, now, would we?"
Tumblr media
Zhongli
This man, too, bears the weight of his actions. But he does not regret doing what had been written in a contract. Contracts are, after all, the primes of his very being. Upholding them to the highest degree goes without saying, though of course, that does not rule out the existence of his personal feelings. The war left him questioning the morality of the divine for centuries. He feels conflicted, but who is he to answer against the Heavenly Principles? Perhaps if he had the courage to sever his ties with it like he did now, things could've turned out differently. It is a branch of life he often finds himself dwelling over. But what's done is done, and the great empire of Khaenri'ah had crumbled. No pillar of its strengths remains, or so he thought.
A warrior such as he... does not regret, but alas, it is only when everything has already settled to dust does he begin to acknowledge the unmerciful slaughter from the cataclysm.
For once in his life, he cannot stand the sight of the brewed tea served in his cup, a pleasant color of crimson.
Which is absurd, because since when had he been fazed by the reminder of blood? It starts now, it seems.
It's rather comical—and insulting. But time changes people, there is no other explanation, and he's no stranger to it.
"Hey there! Sorry I'm late, I was holed up for a second there," Childe greets as he takes the seat in front of the amber-eyed man, who shakes his head.
Now having a reason to not indulge himself with today's tea, Zhongli dismisses his companion's worry.
"There is beauty in the transience of moments. It is alright, don't rush,"
"Transcience huh? Well, my friend surely could vouch for that. [Name] barely shows herself nowadays and when she does, it's only for a brief amount of time before vanishing."
His heart skips a beat. [Name]?
What are the odds that Childe's friend is just someone with a similar name?
"Yeah, [Name], right there! Heya!"
When Zhongli's eyes flutter through the sparse crowd, they travel and pinpoint to its target with relative ease. His breath gets caught in the claws of his throat.
He thinks his mind is playing tricks when he stares at the [c]nette from afar; dressed in regalia fitting for a Princess, though her gown is smeared with blood and her crown is tumbling from her head.
The smile on her face is foreboding as if she's warning him of a return that will throw the heavens and the earth in another round of cataclysm.
And Zhongli cannot help but feel dread as he watches her vanish before his own two eyes.
He knows too well, the vigor of a victim who seeks revenge.
Tumblr media
Aether
He's not the sun child from the legendary tales your father has uttered, but he remains your savior. And long still do you believe him to be a Hero in his own right. Even if his present musings spell him a cold-hearted man with a wicked moral compass. You will never forget that time of twilight, five hundred or so years ago when you're at the brink of death and he crashed through your window, demanding desperately for you to go with him. 'Just one is enough... if I can save just one of you, it's enough.' He had been muttering it as he flew, hiding you from the eyes of the Divine and the Seven. Into the Abyss — a place he promised you will keep you safe, he brought you to.
"Must you leave?"
His voice, no matter how low, manages to come off as loud in the abyssal hall presently empty of his underlings. You look at him, surveying his figure sitting on a throne, beside an empty one.
You nod, closing your eyes with a gentle intake of air.
"The alignment of the stars today makes it easier for me to return without any hassle. I wouldn't be long," with a curtsy, you swivel with the plans to depart as soon as possible.
The moon will be whole tonight, you must take this chance to leave the Abyss and visit your ruined lands.
You find yourself unable to take a step further, though, for with the flutter of the wind and the snuggle of someone's warmth at your back, you're glued to the ground.
".. Aether," you muse as he holds you close.
His hold is tight and secured.
"You must be careful," he buries his face in the crook of your neck, refusing to let go. "Venturing to a land so far... if Celestia takes note of you still alive after those years, then... I.."
Ah, so that is his matter of concern.
Turning in his arms so you face him, you rearrange his golden locks, coursing your fingers through them and playing with the halo of stars that recreate the crown atop his head.
He plays with yours with a minuscule smile, reminding you of your own headpiece.
"If my departure ails you to this extent, then I can save it for another time," you rest your head on his chest after snaking your arms around his waist, returning his embrace. "Nothing beats me more than seeing you upset."
"I'll accompany you in your visit next time, I assure you, it's just that Celestia has been more alert now that my sibling has been tipping over the scales."
The echoes of his whispers are peculiarly soothing as they ricochet off the starry-like environment of the Abyss, and you find yourself smiling.
His touch is so lulling.
You sigh, closing your eyes as you listen closely to Aether.
"For now, stay a bit longer. You are safe with me, my Princess."

Ever since hearing about Diluc failing the final preparation for becoming your knight, Kaeya decided to give it a try.
He wasn't expecting Diluc to react in the way he did though.
"You can't! Listen to me, Kaeya, you-"
"Oh come on, you failed, get over it. Kill me for trying to cease the opportunity." Kaeya rolls his eyes. "Are you worried that I might actually pass and embarrass you?" He scoffs.
"Of course not! Kaeya, I assure you if the king was any other person I wouldn't be trying to stop you! The king- they- I can't say but please, you can't...you're not safe!"
"You have to be specific, it's a given that I wouldn't be safe as the king's knight, Diluc. Why aren't you allowed to say?" Kaeya raises an eyebrow.
"They'll know. If I say it I'll-" Diluc takes a deep breath. "Please, just...I don't want the king-"
You put your hand on Kaeya's shoulder, smiling. "What about me?"
Diluc freezes.
Kaeya hasn't seen Diluc this shaken up in a long time. It makes him reconsider.
"No answer?" You laugh. "Why don't we start the training, Kaeya?"
Diluc shakes his head, mouthing 'no' to the blue haired man.
Kaeya looks to the side, away from Diluc so he doesn't have to witness his step-brother's expression when he replies. "Yes your highness."
──────────────────
It's the final day. The day Kaeya finally finds out what made Diluc fail and become scared of you. He's sure he can handle it, he's been through a lot. Much worse than Diluc in his opinion.
Rather than calling him to your bedroom, you have him come to the training area in the basement.
Kaeya comes down early to mentally prepare himself and to take a shower. He prefers to shower in the basement because the area is rarely used, the other knights prefer the outdoor areas so they use the showers that are above ground. That means he can freely clean himself without the watchful and horny eyes of the other men.
He confided in a trusted person about his concerns about being harassed in the showers and was granted permission to use the basement freely.
What he didn't know was that you also decided to come early.
You walk quietly into the shower room and catch a glance of Kaeya showering. You move away to make sure he doesn't see you if he turns around and remove your clothes.
You step into the shower and Kaeya jumps in fear. He instinctively hides himself from you.
"You- your grace-" Kaeya's eye widens.
"I'll get your back for you Kaeya." You smile and turn him around. His breathing turns shallow from the feeling of your hands on him.
"The- there's really no need, your highness-"
You start lathering soap all over his back. "Don't be so scared, Kaeya." You grope his ass.
He gasps, the words he would've said failed to leave his mouth.
You move Kaeya towards the water to wash off all the soap. "You're too pretty and fragile for a knight...don't you think you'd be better off as my wife instead?"
Kaeya's eyes widen. "Yo- your wife?"
Your hand gropes his chest while the other moves down to cunt, spreading his puffy lips apart teasingly. "You would look gorgeous on the throne, and I need an heir you know." You slowly stuff one of your fingers inside him.
"Stop- ah~" He can't help the pleasure he receives from the way your hand toys with his nipple and how your other one scissors his insides.
"Stop? But you like it so much my dear Kaeya, why would you want me to stop?" You kiss his neck. "C'mon, don't you want to please your king? It's your duty as my knight to follow my orders, right?"
He's not sure how to feel, you have so much power over him and he'll likely be forced into it anyway but is it worth it to not fight against you? Maybe there's a slim chance you'll let him go?
However, Kaeya needs this, he's barely surviving on regular pay. Whether it's being your knight or your wife, it'll take him out of the situation he's currently in and Barbatos knows he needs that.
He feels dirty giving up his body but it has to be done.
"..right." He says quietly.
"That's what I like to hear." You push him up against an empty part of the wall and lift his legs up, staring into his eye as you ease into him.
Kaeya hisses as your thickness stretches him out. "Ah-"
"So tight.." You mumble. "You look so pretty, Kaeya." You kiss his cheek, making him shiver.
You take your time entering him, savoring his cute reactions and noises.
Kaeya sees the thick bump in his stomach and heats up, somehow embarrassed by it.
"Do you see how deep I am in you?" You lightly trace the bulge. "Look at how well you're taking me, baby."
Kaeya feels himself grow even hotter and the hot water that's still running isn't helping him at all.
Holding onto his thighs tightly, you start thrusting into him at a slow pace. You bury your head into his shoulder. "You feel so good, Kae, fuck-"
Kaeya moans, he can't lie and say he doesn't like it.
"I want to break you, turn you into a whore." You nip at his neck.
Kaeya knows you won't have to do much to break him, you're so big that it feels like you're tearing him apart. Even at such a relaxed pace.
"Can I? Can I break you, Kaeya?" Your thumb rubs his clit.
Kaeya gasps, back arching as you bring him even more pleasure. "Ye- yes-"
You move your hand back to his thigh and grip both of them tightly before you fuck into him roughly, picking up the pace and filling the shower with Kaeya's moans.
The steam from the hot water makes Kaeya's lightheaded, all worries and discomfort fading away as he gives in to you.
Your mouth latches onto his nipple, lightly sucking on the brown bud. Kaeya rolls his head back, his cunt squeezes your cock before he's pulled into a full blown orgasm. His breathing becomes erratic as he squirts all over your length.
"You're so sensitive, Kaeya, coming so hard on daddy's cock and so fast." Your thrusts remain relentless and stimulating.
Kaeya wanted to tell you it was too much but it's not like he wanted you to stop or slow down. Ironically, it was just enough.
His eyes are rolled backwards with drool dribbling from his soft dual toned lips. He moans 'daddy' and 'so good' over and over, quickly losing his mind to your cock.
"Gonna come, Kae, 'm gonna come inside you and knock you up."
"Aah~!" Kaeya moans. "Please~~!" The rest of his words are incomprehensible.
"What'll everyone think when they see you knocked up just a few months after finishing your trials? Everyone'll think you got chosen for your body." You smirk. "Don't you care, Kaeya? Or are you more focused on being filled with your daddy's cock and getting your tummy bloated from my cum?"
Kaeya grins stupidly. "Yes~!"
He comes right before you do, like he was milking your cock. His body shakes from the pleasure of being practically stuffed with your cum.
You kiss Kaeya's wet cheek. "You're perfect."

I've been hit with another AU brainrot...
It's a royal au in which Venti is the heir to Mondstadt's throne. He's childhood friends with Diluc, Kaeya, Jean, Thoma and Eula :D
Diluc, Kaeya, Jean and Eula are all training to be Knights and serve the throne. Eula's family attempted a coup in the past, which's why she's considered a traitor by them (for joining the knights, like canon). One day, Thoma ran away to look for his father and never returned, which makes everyone believe he's dead.
Not long after, the royal Castle is attacked and the Queen assassinated. To protect both his life and Mondstadt's Gnosis, Venti is told he needs to run away from home. And so, Venti starts traveling the world in a disguise and everyone believes the royal family is dead.
The Knights end up taking control of the city's government, since there's no one else to rule (to their knowledge). The people think it was a coup organized by the Knights to take control over the city. Not long after, Crepus is also killed and Diluc cuts ties with the Knights, also running away from home for 4 years.
Once he's back home, he's surprised to meet a bard who looks a lot like Venti and seems to be quite popular inside his bar. However, he can't believe this bard could be his childhood friend — he is loud, outrageous and vexatious, nothing like the young princess were.
But he can't escape from the truth for too long, because suddenly one of the Four Winds starts attacking the city, and Diluc ends up involving himself in the situation as the bard and a certain honorary knight run to his tavern to hide after attempting to steal the Holy Lyre der Himmel. Now, Diluc, Venti, Lumine and Jean have to join forces to defeat the dragon and restore peace to the city (and we all know how this ends).
I still gotta figure out some details, like what was up behind the Queen's assassination and all that, but I definitely want to explore it a little more >:)

royalty au headcanons
what they would be in a royalty au and the sweet moments shared with them.
feat. albedo, childe, diluc, kaeya, venti
genre : fluff, slight angst in childe's
❀ albedo
albedo is the royally appointed painter of your family. he's in charge of painting all of the portraits of the royal family, which is well deserved. the blond artist's brush strokes and painting techniques make all of his works of art feel so alive, almost as if they could walk out of the canvas they were painted on and live amongst the people.
he prides in his works, always making sure each square inch of each painting absolutely perfect before presenting it to the royal family. even if they were already perfect to begin with. but, as they say, you're your own worst critic.
from since you were both young, he was hired by your family to teach you the basics of the arts as well as how to properly hold a brush.
so, you could say albedo has watched you grow from a grubby child to the elegant and refined person you grew up to be. an honor, really, to watch the stars in your eyes grow brighter and brighter with each passing year.
"ah, you've messed up the brush stroke here," albedo's gentle voice points out the mistake in your technique. your ears burn from having your mistakes pointed out, but you know it's for the best. you clear your throat and try to fix it, only to have albedo sigh from beside you.
"like this, your highness." before you can even react, you feel the heat from albedo's chest radiating against your back and your hand is encased in his own. he guides your hand with his, making the brush you're holding glide smoothly across the canvas.
his hand is cold, you think to yourself, and you wonder if he's been maintaining his health properly. but in contrast to his hand, his breath is warm against your ear as he talks you through the painting technique.
it's hard to focus when you're feeling overstimulated from the proximity of the blond painter and the rather domestic position you're in; almost as if your entire body is being embraced by the artist you grew up with.
"understand, your highness?" his quiet voice breaks your thoughts. he's close to you... so close. you gulp, praying to the archons above that albedo couldn't feel your hands shaking from this entire exchange.
"i thought you were supposed to call me by my name when we're alone together, albedo," you stutter out shakily. it's then that albedo realizes the position the two of you are in. his teal eyes widen slightly in surprise and his ears begin to burn a light pink. the artist pulls away, muttering a small apology to you.
though, albedo has to admit that having you in his arms, albeit for painting, felt so nice. from the position he was in, albedo could have counted the thousands of stars that your eyes held; and he would do anything to see them again.
❀ childe
ajax became a knight of your kingdom from a young age. he was always bored from the day to day schedule of his familial job; he wanted more and nothing could satiate the need to do something, anything that could give him the exhilaration that he needed.
which being in the knights provided for him. from learning how to properly wield a sword, to sparring with the best knights in your kingdom, to being a master at any and all weapons in your artillery, the ginger haired knight loved every second. he always felt alive when wielding his weapon, always grinning ear to ear when he's sparring for fun.
despite being a terrifying machine of war, ajax would never betray your family, let alone you. he swore an oath to protect everyone in the kingdom when he joined the knights, and that included you. the one who has watched him since he was a clumsy knight in training, fixed up his injuries, and wiped his tears away when he was frustrated with himself.
the call of ajax's name alerts him of your presence along with the quick pads of your shoes against the pavement. said male turns to look at you, smile big and bright on his face. "your highness! fancy seeing you here so late. did you miss me that mu-"
"is it true?" you interrupt him. your furrowed brows and frown etched onto your features contrast against the bright expression on the knight's. ajax's smile falters a bit when you stop in front of him, holding your arm and biting your lip in concern. "is it true that you're going to fight in the war?"
ajax blinks, stunned at your question. but he laughs lowly, not helping you in your concerned state. "of course, why wouldn't i? i made an oath to protect you, your family, and the people. it's my duty to go to the front lines."
his cerulean eyes stare into your own. you take a breath, hesitating on what to say or do next. ajax assumes you're going to scold him for throwing himself into the pits of danger, assumes that you're going to yell at him because when he fights he fights with no care to his own body. he would power on through the fight until he physically wasn't capable anymore.
"would you stay with me if i asked you to?"
your question surprises the ginger knight. out of all things that you could have done or said, he wasn't expecting this.
his finger strokes your cheek, sliding forward until your jaw rests in the palm of his hand. ajax gives you a smile, endearing yet bittersweet. he wants to stay here with you, to see your annoyed expression when he ends up hurting himself again or the huge smile on your face when he does something dumb.
but duty calls. and you know that.
his heart falls when you sigh and pull away from his touch. but it flutters again when he feels something hard press into the palm of his hand, your own covering his.
"then, promise me you won't die out there, ajax. take this lucky charm of mine and stay safe. i'll miss you."
you plant a quick kiss on his freckled cheek and run off before he could see you cry. unfolding his hands, he's greeted with the delicate, red mask you've placed in his hands.
❀ diluc
being the heir to the throne of your own family makes it hard to miss the prince of the neighboring kingdom. prince diluc is a stoic and hard to please person. every time you've seen him in passing at royal balls, he has always had a frown or blank expression on his face.
but, despite what his outer expression and appearance shows, the young prince is a kind and gentle individual. at least to you. in contrast to how stoic he is with others, his warmth is always welcoming and comforting to you. if he's being honest, you're one of the few people, if not the only person, who has witnessed the genuine yet small smile of prince diluc.
when he has the time off, he writes letters to you, often complaining about how useless the knights and how he would rather work alone. but he never fails to indulge you about the little things that have happened since the last time he has spoken to you. how he misses seeing you and that the next time you visit he would take you to a beautiful meadow he passed by on one of his scouts around mondstadt.
you, his only friend who sees the young prince as who he is, and not what the rumors, nor what his title says he is.
"thought i'd see you out here." diluc's ears perk at the familiar cadence of your voice. his eyes that held the warmth of fire flit up to look at you, and his breath is taken away. underneath the gentle glow of the moon, you're practically glowing in front of him. with rich, beautiful silks covering your body and a comforting smile quirking your lips up.
"what are you doing out here? it's cold out here, and the party's inside, [name]," he scolds you. diluc's expression deadpans when you stick your tongue out the corner of your mouth and shrug. when a cold breeze flows through and you physically shiver, the red haired prince sighs and slides off his coat, throwing it over your shoulders.
"i could say the same to you. besides, i saw you out here looking lonely and like a fool, so i thought it would be nice to join you. so you don't look so pathetic." it takes everything in the young prince to not take his jacket back from you and march back inside the palace with the intolerable guests. "i'm kidding! but not about the lonely part. are you alright?"
the playful glint in your eyes disappears in that moment, captivating diluc yet again. he could never outright tell you this, but your eyes are the most beautiful he has ever seen. filled with actual starlight and twinkling with fondness for the awkward prince.
"yeah, just a bit overwhelmed with the guests inside."
you hum in response to him. "well. why don't i keep you company then? from one royal to another. we don't have to say anything, but having someone with you is comforting, right?" ruby eyes widen when you step forward and grab onto his hands, intertwining them. he hopes his cheeks aren't as red as they feel and that you can't see his blush despite the proximity.
"r-right. as long as it's just you, [name]."
maybe the young prince will find the courage to be more forward with you, ask to court you with a bouquet if your favorite flowers and a love letter slipped in between the petals. but for now, he finds solace in your company and your gentle hand laced with his.
❀ kaeya
the origins of how kaeya ended up in your kingdom's calvary is an enigma. no one is quite sure where he had come from, nor had any idea who he trained under considering he was an exceptional equestrian and sword fighting on horseback came so easy to him. every time anyone asked him about his background or history, the blue haired knight would always brush it off and redirect the conversation to something else.
despite having a mysterious background, kaeya still ended up captain of your calvary not too long after he joined your kingdom. though, anyone could have expected it considering he easily outwitted the previous calvary captain in their own sparring sessions.
during his time there, you can't admit that kaeya hasn't caught your eye. he's handsome; his laughter and taunts while sparring with the other knights sends butterflies to your stomach. charismatic and always lightly teasing you whenever you drop by the knight's hall made it difficult to suppress the rhythmic thrum of your heart.
"oh come on, your highness. don't tell me you're getting cold feet now." the smirk on kaeya's face only grows when you send him a glare. he finds it amusing that you're still trying to stand your ground despite your evident fear of the horse in front of you. "i thought you knew how to mount a horse."
the calvary captain snickers when you tell him that you are going to, that you're just not familiar with his horse. his sapphire eye follows your movements and form a crescent when his horse turns her head to look at you.
as you try and muster out an explanation on why you were startled, kaeya takes this time to slide his hands underneath your arms and hoists you up above the horse. your leg slips over the saddle of the pure white mare and you yelp in surprise at the sudden motion.
before you can yell at kaeya for not warning you, the calvary captain climbs onto the saddle behind you. because of the limited space on his horse, the blue haired knight's chest is pressed against your back and his arms encase you so that he could properly hold onto the reins.
"cat got your tongue, your highness? there's no need to be so scared, i won't let you fall. well, unless you're being more unpleasant than usual. don't blame me if you end up on the floor."
laughter surrounds you when you yell at the calvary captain to 'stop messing around.' he can't help it; kaeya loves riling you up and hearing his name slip from your lips regardless of if it's in between fits of giggles or out of anger when he teases you one too many times.
from the position you're in, you aren't able to witness the endearing look that adorns kaeya's visage when you calm down and lean into his touch as soon as his mare starts moving.
❀ venti
there's nothing that suits venti more than being associated with music in some way, shape, or form. he's a well known musician around your kingdom; knowing at least the basics of every instrument known to man and having every song he has ever heard by memory.
rumors around your kingdom flutter around, saying that hearing a song sung by venti himself could cure almost any disease because of how angelic and healing his voice is. of course, it's not true but the young bard likes to play along with it. anything to get free drinks at the local bar, right?
there's no surprise that your family hired the bard to become your piano tutor. but cheeky smiles, poetic songs regarding the beauty of nature, and lyrical poetry of the beauty you hold make it hard for you to not fall for the playful virtuoso.
a delicate melody drifts down the halls of the castle, elegant staccato piano cords resonate in each other's harmony. your fingers deftly glide over the ivory keys, eyes closed and letting your memory guide you through the piece.
beside you, venti plays your counterpart with a gentle smile on his face. a contrast to the beautiful, yet complicated composition that was being performed.
it was his idea to learn this rather tedious piano duet; you thought it was too difficult because of the complicated melodic line and technical harmonies. you recall many nights filled with frustrated tears and crumpled silk from trying to perfect the melody given to you; and venti's gentle voice as he consoled you during those nights and urged you to rest.
before you know it, the piano duet ends with a final statement of the tonic harmony. silence settles into the room as the final chord resonates in the empty concert hall, only to be broken when you shout victoriously.
"your highness, that was a wonderful performance!" venti congratulates you with a proud smile on his lips. the percussive beat in his chest accelerates when you beam at him, the candlelight making your eyes gleam as if they held the entire universe in them.
"it's all thanks to you, venti! oh gosh, i'm so proud of us i could almost kiss you!" the statement leaves your mouth without thinking and leaves the both of you stunned. one, two, three beats of silence and on the fourth you begin to stutter out an apology with a flustered expression on your face.
venti's airy, light laugh fills your ears and echoes against the vast walls of the concert hall. you want to dig yourself in a hole and hide for the rest of your life.
"and what if i take you up on that offer, your highness? or should i call you [name] now? a kiss ending this performance of ours would be way better than a bow, don't you think?"

hi! not sure why i cant tag you properly so heres my explanation!
spoiler warning for those who havent read the note from the Hidden Strife event in 2.8
During the Hidden Strife event, you can find an old note written by his biological father that talked about how the Alberich clan became the regents after King Irmin failed (its the note Kaeya desperately saved from being burnt). They were the last ruling/leading family of Khaenri'ah before it fell. Essentially, they were a clan of noble descent/family of high militaristic power and rose to the throne during the last leg of the war.
Not sure what happened to his dad. Was he affected by the curse? Did he die? If he lives then technically he has the claim to the throne. If he's dead and theres no other Khaenri'ahn noble left, then that means Kaeya would have been their "only hope" already. What's the point in keeping the heir when there's no land to own so to speak? I guess it would make sense to do one last desperate mission- put all able hands on deck for a Khaenri'ahn revenge plot
Or maybe the Alberich clan has their own schemes, just like how Pierro and the Abyss order are doing two separate things so far. Maybe in the end, all their actions would be connected somehow.
I still think they could have just left Kaeya in a safe manner to live his life as a free kid instead of dumping responsibilities and trauma in one go to him (or if they really have to give him responsibilities, at least leave him safely! Not sure why his dad really had to leave him in a storm like that. hmpf!).
Alas, I think there is a reason why he is supposed to have a responsibility to Khaenri'ah and their mission- why kaeya would feel conflicted.
There's also a reason as to why Kaeya's "fate would catch up to him". Mona also said that Kaeya "thinks he made a clean break with his past". Could that mean he had no contact with other Khaenri'ahns (sans the abyss order) during the entirety of his stay in teyvat? Im not sure why he would feel like he has to prove anything to them if they hadn't contacted him in so long...
Even if he doesn't end up being the prince regent, the alternative leaders would be Dainsleif( the twilight sword of the eclipse dynasty- possible from a different noble family?) and Pierro (who was an adviser at the time of the cataclysm- possibly from the Alberich clan because of similarities). Where does that put Kaeya in the Khaenri'ahn equation? He could just be a kid who got lucky... or maybe he's hiding a secret that puts him in a place of importance somehow
The idea of him trying to prove himself does interest me... could he be trying to prove himself to the abyss twin? Pierro? He had so many curious interactions with both the Fatui and the Abyss order that it could go either way, but I cant say much about this idea until I see him interact with another Khaenri'ahn in-game (we know what he thinks about Khaenri'ah but we dont know what the other Khaenri'ahns and the Abyss order think of him)
Kaeya is seemingly the only curseless Khaenri'ahn we have (probably because he's clearly half teyvatian? Or maybe he is cursed and we don't know what kind yet)
Lets get back to this once we get some more lore(im hoping were getting something) during 3.5!
Random thoughts. My mind is like an uncooked scrambled egg at the moment, I'm waiting for my 3 shots of espresso to arrive to me, and my boss at work decided to tell me to not sleep tonight to finish my tasks, so this post will be a mess
but anyway!! about Kaeya and him keeping the Alberich surname and his relationship with his biological father...
Kaeya still loves his biological father (or at the very least holds him and his words value). He still values his family's history (his desperate attempt to save a paper that held information on their clan from the fire). Kaeya kept their surname, and it's his voice that Kaeya heard in the Weinlesefest.
Not many would recognize the surname, but the people who matter would (Archons, Celestia, Khaenri'ahns), and it seems so risky keeping it, yet he does.
What for though? He essentially has a free pass with getting a new surname. Even if he had told the Ragnvindrs his last name, Diluc and the staff wouldn't have told anyone of his original last name.
Was it for the benefits? (should the time come for the Abyss twin to leave their world, Kaeya would be next in line to lead as the Prince regent)
Is that even beneficial? It seems like asking to get recognized and attacked.
Nostalgia?? Again the risks of keeping it though...
Who knows what goes thru Kaeya's mind most days. His head is probably even more scrambled than my sleep deprived state at the moment. I'm betting his mind is a slushie with all the thoughts he has up there.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm one of his biological father's biggest haters (I genuinely do not agree with leaving a child in a deadly storm- re: kaeya's character story mentioning he would have died in the storm had Crepus not found him- and giving him the pressure of an entire essentially dead nation in his tiny hands -what could Kaeya's information about Mondstat do compared to Dainsleif and the abyss order who could surely do it more efficiently?? and less risk for emotions for sure-)
Fairly sure that Kaeya feels conflicted about his sperm donor and subsequently the nation he was from. Theres definitely a place in his big heart for his nation and his birth family.
It's just that people are so sure that he would choose Mondstat (I bet he would too), but the way Genshin is making it sound so far...
It's like Kaeya is genuinely contemplating siding with Khaenri'ah as well and that makes me pause for a moment.
What would be the deciding factor to him?
IM PROBABLY OVERTHINKING THIS LMAO
Anyway that is all. I really need sleep which i will not be getting any time soon and only Kaeya could keep me awake at night at this point

Note
just read your unplanned pregnancy hcs and first of wow second could you maybe write a continuation to them like maybe during the pregnancy or once the baby (or babies they could have twins) are born. Albedo's had me appdiisodhs like i need answers and i need some closure lmao
sorry this has taken so long anon, been a crazy couple of weeks lol. part 2 to this
diluc's is kinda short bc his ended on a happy note (o´∀`o)
before reading: reader is written as afab and goes by they/them pronouns but feel free to change it to whatever you want in your head, pregnancy, babies
diluc
he adjusted the best he could when you decided to keep the baby
neither of you were expecting a child anytime soon but like you said before, maybe it was a sign
and with diluc's status in mondstadt, no one even batted an eye wrong in his direction
in fact, you were showered daily with gifts or food from the townspeople of mondstadt (there was a rumor that some thought you were bearing an heir to the invisible throne of mondstadt)
in the rare occasion someone said something negative about the pregnancy, usually someone drunk at the tavern, diluc was quick to shut them down
After you gave birth to your babies (yes, you had twins), you thought the overwhelming support from the people of Mondstadt would stop. Instead, it only increased.
When you and Diluc entered the city, each holding a baby, you were always crowded right away. Elderly woman would knit your babies clothes and the young teenagers offered babysitting services. It should have been overwhelming but since your pregnancy was unexpected (having twins was even more unexpected) the extra help was greatly appreciated.
Woodworkers built you cribs for free and shop owners happily donated extra stock for your children.
After a long day in Mondstadt, that was supposed to be a quick trip, Diluc collapsed on the couch. He had both babies in his arms, cuddling them to this chest, while you carried multiple bags full of goods.
"People are so generous," You huffed out, putting the bags down and falling back next to Diluc, "Almost too generous."
He laughed tiredly and readjusted himself so you could snuggle into his side. "It's better than them being hateful, right?"
You nodded in agreement, "Much better."
zhongli
he was right about no one crossing him during your pregnancy
when you went for walks around liyue around, people turned their heads and paid no attention to you
to zhongli, that was delightful - no one cared
to you, it was uncomfortable
you had mortal friends in liyue who had gotten pregnant after marriage and they were praised from strangers on the streets and given free food or wisdom from elders
but not you
You were almost to term when Zhongli wanted to take you out to dinner at the Liyue Pavilion. Childe had given him a hefty check as a Christmas gift and Zhongli wanted to spend it on you and your unborn baby.
The restaurant was packed for a weeknight and Zhongli left for a moment to use the restroom. You sat at the table, absentmindedly rubbing your belly and shoveling noodles into your mouth.
"Isn't that the town whore?"
The words made you freeze. You heard the voices behind you and refrained from spinning around and glaring at the young women.
"It is! I heard this is the third time she's gotten knocked up and her boyfriend wouldn't let her kill it this time!"
"Boyfriend? She's not even married? I would be so ashamed to have her as my daughter - her poor family."
You stopped eating then. The women giggled and their voices faltered away. Your hand stopped rubbing your belly and laid there, your other hand clenching your chopsticks.
You didn't even realize you were crying until Zhongli came back to the table and alerted you.
"Oh, um, hormones," You lied, dropping your chopsticks to roughly push away your tears. Your sniffled and looked up, dabbing at the corners of your eyes to try and stop the tears. "I'm really not hungry anymore. I'll meet you outside, okay?"
You struggled to stand up and once you did, you waddled outside of the restaurant. You tried to pull your cardigan over your belly but since you were so far along, there was no way to hide it. It felt like the world was caving in on you. People could be so cruel.
Suddenly, you felt two arms wrap around you, pulling you into warmth. You smelled Zhongli's scent and clutched onto his shirt, letting even more tears fall.
"A worker told me what happened after you rushed out," He whispered into your ear, "I'm sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?" You sniffled.
"I wasn't there to protect you from them."
You looked up at Zhongli and he wiped away your tears. "Can we go on a vacation?"
When you said vacation, you didn't mean a week away to the beach. Honestly, you didn't feel safe in Liyue and you certainly didn't want to raise a baby in a city this strict.
"Of course we can," Zhongli said, immediately knowing what you meant, "Have you even been to Mondstadt?"
albedo
the minute you returned home on that eventful day, albedo began packing your bags
he knew what the knights were capable of and frankly, he didn't fully trust them right now
you were on the road by night and within two weeks (horses and carriages did wonders to help you), you had safely arrived in fontaine
you stayed in the country for your entire pregnancy and when your son turned a year old, the three of you started your journey back to mondstadt
When you stepped inside the gates of Mondstadt, you swore you could hear every hushed whisper rush into your head. Albedo stood firmly by your side, his hand on the small of your back as he urged you to continue walking towards the headquarters.
Your son wiggled in your arms but you didn't put him down. Until you knew exactly what was going to happen with the Knights, you weren't going to let your son out of your sight.
Fortunately, both Kaeya and Jean were doing paperwork in her office when Albedo knocked. He walked in first and they jumped up, extremely concerned with his absence.
You hesitantly walked in after Albedo and your coworkers stared for a moment.
"Wow," Kaeya said, "You did have the baby."
"We did," You confirm.
There's an awkward silence. No one knows what to say since the last encounter with each other ended so horribly. Jean is the one to finally speak up, "I think we owe you two an apology."
Kaeya nods in agreement. "After you two left, we realized we may have been too harsh on you both. We are getting to that age, after all."
Albedo glances at you from behind his shoulder and you smile softly to him. He turns back to Kaeya and Jean, "We'd like our positions back in the Knights of Favonius."
"You never lost them," Kaeya cheekily says. Albedo nods his head again, not wanting to say the wrong thing. You step forward and rub your son's back, getting his attention. You introduce him and Kaeya bends down towards the baby, "Why, hello there."
Your boyfriend cautiously watches from a distance as his friend dotes on his son. Eventually, Jean comes over to meet the child too.
If you thought about the situation hard enough, you still got upset. But seeing Kaeya and Jean love on your son instead of exiling him made you feel a lot better. Of course, you wished it didn't go down the way it did but the past was the past.
And as Albedo reached out to squeeze your free hand, you knew he felt the same way.

Why I think Layla might be related to Khaenri’ah !
Tumblr media
she’s the only other character who’s sitting down in their artwork aside from Kaeya, who, in theory, is sitting down because he’s sitting on his throne as a the heir to Khaenri’ah’s royal throne. Her hair and the tassels on her wrists as well as the back of her cape are the four-pointed stars we see on every Khaenri’ahn related character. Also her circlet, or crown (pointing to royalty) has some of the stars and the shading in her hair also is in the shape of the stars in a lighter, grayer color- like Kaeya’s streak of gray hair, or Pierro’s streak of navy hair. She shares a similar enough color palette to Dainsleif and Kaeya and Pierro and maybe even Albedo if you squint. What if she’s another member, or maybe even a sage, of Khaenri’ahn royalty- also sitting on a throne. Especially a royal sage or consultant of some sort, seeing as her pose looks like she’s advising someone to do something.
The four- pointed stars on Kaeya’s eye and clothes:
Tumblr media
The four pointed stars on her:
Tumblr media
The Official Genshin YouTube channel also posted this about her:
Tumblr media
So she’s a sleepy character who apparently has never experienced sleepwalk, and by a stretch, has never had a dream. In the Genshin trailer: Travail, way back, the one where they show a small glimpse of the nations, Dainsleif mentions that “there are those who dream of dreaming.” He also mentions that “Some say a few are chosen and the rest are dregs.” Now I’m really stretching, but what if what happens to her here in this description is connected- what if the stars descending on her paper was her being ‘chosen’- she also calls it “The star’s blessing”. Especially with the fact that she had just woken up from a restful nap- what if she had a dream during that nap, and as a Khaenri’ahn, allowed her to be blessed by these random stars???
ALSO @genshin-impact-updates said that her constellation is apparently called ‘Luscinia’ so i googled it and (copy pasted from wikipedia) Luscinia is a genus of smallish passerine birds, containing the nightingales and relatives. It also said this:

Now who else do we know is one eyed-?? Dain, Pierro, and Kaeya- all of them not only related to Khaenri’ah, but related to Khaenri’ahn royalty. I googled what nightingales symbolize, and apparently they symbolize a LOT like creativity and nature and melodies and mystery even???
I’ve also never seen a nightingale in my life but apparently they sing a lot at night so maybe she’s really supposed to symbolize some sort of magic or dreaming or stars or whatever as a Khaenri’ahn. At this point I’m really stretching but MY POINT IS BABE WAKE UP NEW KHAENRI’AH RELATED CHARACTER JUST DROPPED
Tumblr media
Edit; I have something to add on the visual similarities between her and the other Khaenri’ahns we know. her hoodie/ veil is twisted to cover the right side of her face more than her left side. Just like Kaeya’s hair and eyepatch, as well as Pierro and Dain’s covered right sides. I think it’s a more subtle way of pointing to how Khaenri’ahns cover their eye just like their King Irmin mentioned in Hidden Strife.
Edit2: jk she can sleepwalk my bad Idk if she can dream or not tho

Note
How about Kaeya son when he’s born along with when his son opens his eyes and he sees they have the same diamond shaped pupils as his are?
Khaenri'an Eyes
—————————
Newborn babies can open their eyes right after being born, some tend to wait a few hours as the sudden light hurts their eyes or their faces are swollen after going through being born.
You had fallen asleep about twenty minutes ago, telling him how sore you were, how tired you were. No matter how hungry he was or tired he was, he wasn’t planning on leaving your side anytime soon. Now he held your sweet bundle of joy in his arms, your little newborn son lovingly swaddled in a soft, yellow blanket, cuddled up to Kaeya’s chest
Kaeya is still in a state of disbelief... His baby is here in his arms. Finally, after months of waiting, nervously pacing the halls at night as he worries about what could go wrong... His beautiful baby was here. Kaeya removed his eyepatch to get a better look at his newborn, his white, scarred eye now visible. He pressed another kiss to his son’s red cheek, smiling at him.
Then, his baby looked at him. The first time he’s ever seen his child’s eyes is in the dim light of a candle yet he can perfectly make out the stars. His son has his eyes. Star shaped pupils, ice blue irises. If someone didn’t know what to look for, they’d probably think the baby was blind but no. These were Khaenri'an eyes. The blue with star shaped pupils, exactly like his own and the eyes of his father that pierce his dreams at night.
His baby jerks his head to the side, his eyes scrunching closed and Kaeya realized he’s crying- his tears are falling into his son’s face.
“Oh- oh I’m sorry...” he whispers, sniffling as he dabs the newborn’s cheek with his sleeve “I didn’t mean to... I’m just rather surprised. You have beautiful eyes” His tears won’t stop falling now, they freely fall down his cheeks. He has to sit up to avoid crying on his poor son any more than he already has.
He shifts the baby in order to wrestle his handkerchief out of his pocket, wiping his eyes though the second the cloth dried his cheek, more tears fell to replace the others. He can’t tell if he’s happy about it or not. On one hand, he feels that connection to Khaenri'ah that’s always felt missing. He finally has someone like him- even if his son won’t remember Khaenri'ah the way he does, he has an heir to the throne-
No...No, he can’t think like that. His son is a Mondstadter. He will be raised as such and will hopefully never have to shoulder the weight of guilt and grief the way Khaenri'an legacy weighs Kaeya down. He sniffles again, allowing himself to be vulnerable while you sleep. He hopes his father would be proud of him....
