"finished K:CD for the first time the last diamond rush and damn. it's so funny if you're not on kindness & amrit path (i lowkey hate him but nvm) like,, he went thru all this trouble to lure amala to india only for her to kill a couple of ppl and fuck off back to england with killian. i just imagine him sitting at a desk, a drop of sweat on his forehead, coming up with a to do list that's like "force her to come to calcutta ✓ manipulate ✓ propose" with ratan just watching over his shoulder, meanwhile amala is getting dicked down at someone else's wedding + the fact that we had diamond scenes at ratans house? like, he must've felt that. amrit is whining about the messiah, talking bout amala, destiny and whatever while ratans spidey senses are tingling & he's just standing there like 😐"

The best series are:

Theodora - historical, supernatural, phenomenal writing, Cynic Theo being pragmatic and pessimistic while Romantic Theo is empathetic and hopeful, great love interests, great friendship scenes, handles sensitive topics well. This is a really intriguing story that handles Past/Present flips much better than D:ALS.

Legend of the Willow - historical, fantasy, hands down the most incredible interactive story I've ever read, Coldness Mei is better at keeping her facades and rational arguments while Passion Mei is better at empathy and persuasion. All the love interests are beloved and incredible and there are many endings to this book (it's pay to win if you want to become a ruler tho). The CGs, outfits, makeup and backgrounds are all beautiful. This story will probably stay with me for life.

Gladiator Chronicles - sci-fi gladiators in space. It took me a few chapters to get into it but I really liked it and enough people liked it to get Season 3 approved. The nuances of politics and war are taken very seriously. The hair and outfits are stunning. The love interests are all incredible. Both Mercy Rix and Cruelty Rix are fun to watch.

Great works with caveats:

Heart of Trespia - lovely story but I get the feeling the writer makes up the world building as they go along to justify plot points, a lot less well-researched than LoTW and it shows(especially when it comes to politics, jobs, ect). Overall very heartfelt story with great love interests, though.

Dracula: A Love Story - the series reads as two separate stories in the beginning and I feel like the writer could have done more to make the transition more seamless. The story is best if you're romancing Vlad or Leo/Aslan or neither because they are the MC's canon soulmates (can be platonic or romantic) so they take up a LOT of theme and plot space. Overall, the world building is very good and the characters are great.

Heaven's Secret - fantasy, Christian mythology. great art, great plot. You can romance the daughter of Mammon, the son of Satan, the over-achieving son of a mean teacher, the angel-devil, or just some guy. You are encouraged by the game mechanics to flit with everyone but polyamory is not an option. Your mother is white and you don't get a choice in this. The outfits and wings are very cool. Multiple endings depending on whether you side with Shepha or Malbonte and whether you are an Angel or a Demon.

Mentions:

Sins of London - I've lost interest by this point but it is a very fun story. Magic and crime in 19th century London. The love interests are very fun but the female ones are very sidelined.

Kali: Call of Darkness - crime, supernatural, Indian mythology. ot very well-researched but it's easy to see why it's popular. K:CD is about an indologist who joins the team investigating the disappearance of a British diplomat and stumbles upon murders, magic and a terrifying cult with power over the town.

Okay, I tried to redownload RC (after seeing the posts about them actually listening to their fanbase unlike PB) to check if didn't work again by now for me - AAAND:

I downloaded it months ago after seeing an ad for Heaven's Secret (or maybe it was ROTT?). I only opened it and didn't even pick an MC then. And then I couldn't even open the app because of a crashing issue.. Yet, they still gave me a freaking reward!!! This huge no less.. 😳

"Remy annoys me so, so much as a person and I hate the fact that I enjoy most of her stories to some degree. (Mostly talking about SOTCN because K:CD was a mess and the jury is still out for K:FOS, even though I only like 2 characters in that story)"
