Ohhh and of course Jaskier goes up to the first monster he encounters and is SO impressed with the costume work. The teeth look so real oh God he has to learn just HOW they did that. Geralt saves him just in time, maybe that's even how they really meet, though Geralt has watched him a little before.

And maybe,maybe Jaskier has a condition that makes him need some medication (like diabetes or maybe I'll give him what I had 👀) so he's getting bad and needs that medication and Geralt doesn't understand what he's talking about. He needs a healer not medication

Wanted to go to bed about 1 1/2 hours ago, but instead I'm sitting here thinking about WHAT IF Jaskier was transported from the present into the Witcher world, straight into Geralt's arms more or less. He's walking through the forest that gave birth to lots of fairytales (I live around sleeping beauty's castle, Rapunzel's tower and the Hänsel &Gretel forest, so I know where these thoughts are coming from) and all of a sudden he thinks he's right in the middle of some medieval festival thing

"Ohh the costumes look so real! How did you do that?" - "Are those real swords? Damn you want all of that real accurate!" And Geralt snatches his hand because nobody touches his swords without permission. Cue hearteyes on Jaskier's part and Geralt is confused by the strange clothes

Do you think we got some foreshadowing for Oscar in this episode?! The fact that he mentioned that everyone was evolving and he still hadn't unlocked his semblance! I really hope so!

I believe we did. As some folks have already highlighted, the last time a character mentioned not being able to unlock their semblance, they ultimately did in the finale for that particular season. That’s how it was for Jaune back in V5.

A part of me is still banking on Oscar unlocking his semblance to save and/or protect Ruby. Like perhaps… Tyrian finally gets his golden chance to enact his revenge on Ruby and manages to corner her like a rat in a maze. 

Here’s the thing I’ve always been curious about with Tyrian. 

Is his venom mainly part of his Faunus traits or his semblance or a mixture of the two?

It’d be interesting if Tyrian’s poison stems from a combination of both his signature Scorpion characteristic with his semblance for stronger, more lethal results.

What I’m also curious about is if Tyrian is able to produce different kinds of toxins with varying effects depending on how much he injects into his foe or opponent. Why I’m asking this question ties into my longstanding Pinehead headcanon for Oscar’s semblance being Nullification—the ability to negate the effects of another’s semblance rendering them useless against Oscar. With this power, Oscar can additionally stop one from using their semblance against him for a short period of time. 

Imagine…Oscar alone with Ruby when Tyrian decides to target her. Imagine if…Tyrian stings Oscar with a toxin that renders him paralyzed and unable to stop Tyrian from harming Ruby. We’ve seen Tyrians’ eyes change colour so perhaps his eyes matches the kind of toxins he can produce with purple being the killer.

So let’s say…Tyrian manages to prick Ruby which paralyzes her in a similar fashion to Oscar. However as Tyrian prepares himself to sting Ruby with the killing blow, to the Scorpion’s surprise, Oscar breaks through the effects of his venom and jumps in front of Ruby to protect her.

Of course, Oscar gets stung by Tyrian but…instead of dying or being downed from his poison; Oscar is completely immune to Tyrian’s venom. Like justpicture Tyrian stinging Oscar multiple times trying to get at Ruby and he just getsback up every single time; determined to protect the girl he cares about. Why?Because Tyrian’s venom has no effect on Oscar.

Dude, just picture Oscar having a Nullification or Immunity type of semblance that renders everyone else’s abilities null and void again him?

Oscar possessing a semblance that not only makes him immune to the effects of another’s semblance but also simultaneously enables him to stop another from using their semblance for a short period of time (by probably projecting his semblance onto that person similar to how Vine advised Jaune to project his aura), then…bruh! That would make Oscar one of themost powerful huntsmen ever.

However I’d like to think that Oscar being able to stop another from using their semblance could possible come with a buffer that prevents Oscar from overusing this side to semblance too often due to the effects it has on his body. I want Oscar to be great and powerful but not too overpowered.

Like let’s say…Oscar can stop someone from using their semblance but every time he does it, it gives him a nosebleed (like Eleven from Stranger Things) or causes some potential harm to his body (or aura) the more times he abuses this power too much (like Deku in MHA with All for One). 

Either way, if Oscar does gain a powerful semblance like that then It’ll alsoput Ruby’s response to him saying that he hasn’t unlocked his semblance intoplay here:

“You guys are evolving and I still don’t even have my semblance.” 

“Well I bet we’ll all be jealous when you do.”

Of course they would—Oscar having a semblance that makes everyone else’s useless against him is a freaking OP semblance. And I think Nullification is a good semblance for Oscar to have giving the call-back to the character of Princess Ozma from the Marvellous Land of Oz who Oscar draws inspiration from.

All in all, I’m excited to see Oscar’s semblance unlocking moment. Especially if it’s to save Ruby. After all, Jaune was the last person who was having difficultyunlocking his semblance and he awakened his to save Weiss—the girl he caresabout a lot.

So naturally, I’m hoping Oscar follows the same pattern with Ruby. I want Oscar to awaken his semblance to protect Ruby from Tyrian. Whether or not that will happen, we shall see.
