What I thought going into medicine would entail:
- family and friends congratulating me on making it through medical school
- parents bragging to their work friends that I save lives or some shit
- calling me a ‘doctor’ in front of grandunits because they don’t get what I really do
What actually getting into medicine entails:
- Three of my guy friends calling me up in the last 2 months being like ‘dude, my balls hurt’
- Mom’s coworker texting her to ask me about her lab results because she has some concerns and knew I was home
- SIL sending me copious numbers of imaging and asking me why her spine looks like that

Mikor a könyvtárban ülsz, és a koponyát kéne tanulnod, de az egyetlen dolog, amit pontosan memorizáltál az a szemben ülő, ismeretlen srác arcának mindegy egyes négyzetcentimétere.

Ahhh now I can sleep.
That feeling of satisfaction when you wrap your head around the leukemias and lymphomas.
