Michael Flynn: 'Gates of Hell' will be unleashed on Trump's enemies when he takes office

Former President Donald Trump's one-time National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is ramping up his apocalyptic rhetoric to a new and dangerous extreme, Ja'han Jones wrote for MSNBC's "ReidOut Blog."

Flynn, who was fired from Trump's administration and took a plea deal for lying to federal investigators about his ties to Russia before being pardoned by Trump, has since descended into extreme conspiracy theory circles, in particular forming close ties to the QAnon movement, which believes Trump must save America from Satanic child sex trafficking cannibals. He has previously suggested the U.S. should undergo a military coup like that in Myanmar.

His latest rhetoric suggests he hasn't backed down from that position at all, Jones wrote.

Flynn recently spoke at the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival, sponsored by a radical schismatic sect of Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, which worships the AR-15 as a holy instrument ordained by God. And when an attendee in the crowd asked him about the possibility of military tribunals and executions of Trump's enemies, Flynn promised a lot more than that if the former president secures victory.

“I think a lot of people actually think like you do, and I think that that’s your right and our privilege. … There’s a way to get after this, but we have to win first,” said Flynn. "I’m about winning. We have to win. And these people are already up to no good. So, we gotta win first. We win, and then, 'Katy, bar the door.' OK? Believe me: The gates of hell — my hell — will be unleashed."

All of this, Jones concluded ominously, comes as "Trump is now openly floating the idea of deploying the military against his critics if he’s elected. It’s easy to imagine Flynn being part of that violent plan."

Marvel Comics has announced a print edition of writer Anthony Oliveria and artists Carola Borelli and Bailie Rosenlund's Avengers Academy Infinity Comic series. Avengers Academy: Assemble #1 one-shot will collect the first six issues of the series.

The All-New Avengers Academy is having Iceman teaching the class as a guest teacher. As he teaches the kids some lessons about Superhero Accounting, they get bored with it until he suggests for another lesson - "Applications of Advanced Emergency Architecture" which means ice-slides. Meanwhile, Hazmat is not thrilled about being invited to the All-New Avengers Academy as a teacher's assistant for the students because she is not in full control of her powers and the New Avengers Academy reminded her of her trauma about her time in the old Avengers Academy where the bad things happened to her and her classmates. While Hazmat and Carol Danvers are talking, the All-New Avengers Academy students (especially Kid Juggernaut) are having a fun time with the ice-slide.

Kahr Arms At the Shooting Industry Masters tournament in Kansas last year, participants dubbed the “Zoot Suit Shooters” dressed up like mobsters and blasted steel targets with Tommy Guns. It was a publicity stunt on behalf of Kahr Arms, maker of the Prohibition-era machine gun. The rights to the Tommy Gun were acquired in 1999 by Justin Moon, who started Kahr Arms in 1994 with a $5 million loan from his father—Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon.

Kahr Arms capitalized on the rising demand for powerful yet small handguns when concealed-carry laws began sweeping the nation in the 1990s. Its K-9 pistol was small enough to fit into a pants pocket. Emergency room physicians blamed the spread of this type of gun from Kahr and other companies for a dramatic rise in fatal gunshot wounds.

Growing up in the suburbs of New York, Justin Moon “would always philosophize about the world ending and how great his father was,” Tim Porter, the son of high-ranking church members, told Condé Nast Portfolio in 2007. “That’s why he did all this stuff with guns. He believes that [the Unification Church] is going to take over the world. He would say this all the time.”
