bro we dont talk about this musical enough😭. i know its not like life changing or anything but it does tell a great story! which it is based on a true story!

just as the musical tells you, Justin Laboy was a senior at Park Vista High School, who did GREAT in school. he had plans to go into the air force (according to my source). soon enough he got distracted by a new girl in his class, Naomi Rodriguez. this was practically hell for Justin. Justin fell for her hard and even decided to ask her to prom. she didnt end up going since it was "expensive". soon enough, Naomi asked Justin to get her some m*rijuana. it took him a while to find some since he didnt smoke nor did his friends (according to him). so when Justin finally got it, he waited until school to give it to Naomi. when Naomi tried to pay for it Justin rejected it, wanting her to just have it. after some convincing Justin accepted her payment. that was a HORRIBLE decision. not only was Naomi not a student, but she was a undercover officer. since Justin was 18, he was adult when he sold it, and also he was on school property, he was arrested and placed on probation. (you can read more abt it online)

anyways back to the musical.

the musical covers everything in 15 minutes, full video on youtube!!

also theres a soundtrack but watching it is so much better.

but besides all that the musical really makes you think how screwed the system is. yes he sold drugs on school property but he wasnt even dealing with drugs beforehand. just really unfair but im glad theres a musical that gives the situation some recognition.

he asks you out everyday, in the most dramatic and public ways possible, until you eventually give in and say yes. 

when you two first start dating, he's super clingy, and you think it's cute, until it eventually becomes more overbearing and suffocating. no matter what you're doing, he'll always ask to do it with you, or just be with you while you do it.

is either constantly hugging you or holding your hand.

if anyone tries to talk or even look at you when he's with you, he makes sure to hold your hand extra tightly and he'll make a big show of letting the other person know that you're dating him.

before you started dating, he'd stalk you and try and follow you home. he just wants to make sure you get home safe and that no one creepy is following you. he still stalks you while you're dating, telling himself that he just wants to make sure you're safe. he's your boyfriend, he's sure you'd be fine with it. if anything, it'd be weird not to, right? if you ever catch on to the fact that he's stalking you, he'd immediately deny it. and if that doesn't work, he'll use a more manipulative tactic; burst into tears and say that you should be thanking him for 'keeping you safe'.

eventually you end up comforting him, reassuring him that you love him and appreciate the things he does for you. of course you're still uncomfortable about him practically stalking you, but in the moment you feel guilty seeing him cry like that. 

whenever you aren't home, he breaks into your house and just lies in your bed for hours, hugging and pressing your pillows into his face, before he starts going through all your stuff. he's not above 'borrowing' stuff from your room either. if you use any chap-stick/lipstick and you leave it somewhere in your room, he takes it. if you accidentally leave a shirt on your floor, it's his now. in his words, if you didn't want him to take it, you shouldn't have left it out.

he'll also break into your house at nighttime and cuddle up with you in bed while you're asleep, placing kisses and your cheek and neck, even taking pictures of you two together. but if you're not a heavy sleeper, he just sits beside you on your bed and watches you sleep peacefully, occasionally leaving small kisses on your lips, or gently taking hold of your hand.

he texts you almost fifty times a day. you've probably got fifteen seconds to reply before he starts spamming you with messages asking you why you're not replying. if you ever tell him to stop texting you, he'll text a dry and passive aggressive goodbye, then completely ignore you for hours. he doesn't want to ignore you, but you should've thought about that before complaining about his texts. eventually, you'll meet him at his house to ask if he's ok, and he acts like nothing's wrong, like you hadn't spent hours worrying yourself if something bad had happened to him. he makes you feel so stupid, saying you were being dramatic getting worried, that you told him to text you less which is exactly what he did and there was no need to worry. hearing it out loud, you do feel kind of stupid.

he'd never kidnap you. he'll fantasise about kidnapping you, but would never actually do it. the only time he'd ever consider kidnapping you is if you break up with him, but he'd never let you do that.
