Jennie moves to the large bowl that sits off to the side of the stage and pulls out a single slip of paper before walking back to the microphone. She eagerly unfolds the paper and leans into the mic. "L/N Y/N."

You don't move at first. It takes a moment to even recognize that it was your name that was called. For a second, you feel Joshua gripping onto your wrist, almost telling you to stay, but then he lets go and you start to walk up to the stage, like you're on autopilot. You're standing right on the edge of your section, so you don't have to pass anyone and see their looks of pity. Good.

Before you know it, you're on stage, staring at every face in the district. Jennie is gesturing to you. She has pink hair and a matching pink dress that looks like planet's rings surrounding her body. It's ugly. For a moment, before she starts talking, Jennie looks intimidated by you. You get that a lot.

"Do we have any volunteers?"

No. Not that you're surprised. Nobody volunteers in District 7, let alone for someone like you. Everyone in Seven already thinks you're capable of winning the games, why would they risk putting someone else in? When you turned twelve you and a couple other kids started to do Hunger Games training on your own, picking up skills you saw in previous games. You've always been one of the best at, being able to fight and picking up on survival skills. Over the year's you've built up even more skills working with your axe in the woods. You're grateful that you belong to a district that has a trade that's useful in the arena.

You look out at the crowd and your eyes land on the closest familiar face you see, which just happens to be your little sister in the middle of the crowd, standing with the other fifteen year olds. You lock eyes. She has tears in her eyes and her lip is quivering a bit, but she looks like she's trying to keep composed for your sake. You're grateful for that because if she started to bawl, you're sure you won't be able to keep your own composure.

You're knocked out of your stupor when Jennie is talking again. "What a brave young soul. Now for our next tribute." Her heels clack against the concrete of the Justice Hall's stage as she walks back over the bowl, pulling out one more slip.

The energy of the crowd is tense as Jennie brings her lips up to the mic. "Lee Jihoon."

You start a bit at the name. Jihoon? There’s no way she just said Lee Jihoon.

Growing up in Aguascalientes, New Mexico, with his father, mother, and younger sister. They were a close-knit family, all living under one roof. As the eldest, Enzo often took care of his sister and helped his parents prepare meals. In his younger years, he was a bit of a troublemaker—pickpocketing and stealing food just to get by. Coming from a poorer part of the city, he didn’t have much choice. But as he got older, he realized that stealing was wrong and started to contribute to his community in more positive ways.

He worked any job he could find, from selling food to washing cars—it didn’t matter what it was, as long as it helped take care of his family. He studied constantly, determined to get good grades in high school, never caring what others thought of him. But when he graduated and was ready to head off to college, he returned home to find the house empty. His parents hadn’t told him they’d been evicted—or that they had taken all his savings and disappeared.

He was left completely alone, his parents having taken his sister with them. He didn’t know what to feel—just a deep, painful ache from what his parents had done. Despite everything, he managed to get into a college (Law) and study abroad. He spent five years in London before eventually making his way back to the States. While in Texas, at around twenty-three, he crossed paths with a biker gang. He was still young and figuring out life, and it was through them that he learned about loyalty, about protecting those he cared about, and what it meant to find a new kind of family.

It was there that Enzo met his best friend, and they often talked about their dreams and what they wanted out of life. Enzo was the type to chase after what he wanted, believing nothing was impossible. But being in a gang meant there was always an opposing side, and with that came violence and bloodshed. He’d experienced brawls and attacks before, but nothing could have prepared him for the aftermath of this one. He had stepped out for a while, only to return to find his entire chosen family wiped out—death all around him

He faced two choices: avenge his family by hunting down and killing the criminals responsible, or take the legal route and bring them to justice by arresting them for what they had done. He vowed to pursue the latter. Determined, he returned to school to study Criminal Justice. By the age of twenty-eight, he had joined the police department. Four years later, he became a detective. Through relentless work and dedication, he tracked down the group responsible for his family's deaths and ensured they were put away for good.

It was only on his drive through the states where he ended up getting stuck in Huntsville.

Project 3/Working Title TBD | Fantasy | Ongoing

When a carefree courier is pulled into a dangerous game of Nations, he does the unthinkable: he digs up their forgotten past, shattering more than their peace for the sake of survival.

Themes/ tropes: Survival vs. selfishness, repeated history, forgotten history, Zombie apocalypse (for some reason), genetic mutation

How many lies would you tell, to protect those around you? How far would you go to hide the truth, even as they live it? Will it be enough? Will it ever?

MCs:

Luo- The courier and narrator at the heart of the story. He’s a carefree soul, but burdened by his past. He’s done a lot to move on from it and live freely, but his past has other plans. On his own, he’d be okay, probably– but his friends have to rely on him and everything he’s tried to hide from to survive their sudden exile.

Serus- Luo’s longtime best friend, and the only living soul who knows his whole past. He’s a vampire with a gentle disposition and a soft spot for Luo. He can’t help but forgive.

Defra- Another of Luo’s old friends. She’s a mermaid, an artist, and optimistic. She sees the good in people, and wants to help them as long as they’re willing to help themselves. She doesn’t take kindly to violence, and hates dishonesty more.

Cael- Luo’s friend, introduced to him by Defra. He’s an Avian and proud of it, and hopes to one day join the Harmonious, the peacekeepers of Avian society and a branch of Congress. 

As Luo finishes his usual rounds, he ends on Mt. Wenil, where a certain Harmonious hopeful has a trap laid out. One whose real maker is obscured from all except from its victim. 

Note: The version of this story that I’m posting about isn’t the version I actually want to write. I don’t think a zombie apocalypse and buried genetic research does any justice to this story or its characters, so while I’ll finish this to say I wrote it I’m not happy. It’s still a decent story just not where I want to go with any of this.

*HISTORY.

Sonny, born Samson Bodhi Acharya-Caine, was destined for greatness if greatness alone could be determined by one’s namesake. Given the names of two male predecessors upon birth, the men in question were Samson Caine, his paternal grandfather and the original proprietor of the once-celebrated vintage shop now affectionately called One Man’s Trash; and Bodhi Acharya, his mother’s beloved brother and famed political activist in their native Gujarat. Although the names were meant as honorifics, they instead became a seeming predetermination of Samson’s present-day fate, resulting in a young man resigned to living in the in-betweens of life. 

Through his father’s work as a businessman and his mother’s as a political interpreter, Samson’s youth was filled with travel, art, and culture, and he grew up idolizing both parents in equal, heartfelt measure. Perhaps it was a side effect of the scenery, but during those blissful formative years, the boy was happily committed to following in his parents’ footsteps and quickly learned the interconnected value of business, politics, and interpersonal relationships. It all came naturally, really. He was charismatic, affable, and forward-thinking with an innate sense of justice, and though it was tempting to turn sullen when his parents announced their separation and later divorced, he soon found a new reason to remain sunny: his newborn half-sister, the light of his life — and the very person who christened him with his favored nickname after attempts to teach it to her went delightfully wrong. 

The next two decades saw him grow further into the smart, compassionate boy he’d always been. He graduated secondary school top of his class, and was the recipient of a full ride to King’s College which later landed him a job on the staff of a promising young politician. However, government lost its lustre once one awoke to the reality of how dirty it could get, and after enough scandals wracked the politician he poured his heart, soul, and work into, Samson ( as he’d elected to be called then ) resigned from the job, name inextricably linked to a series of failures and falsehoods. 

He’d always had the heart of a martyr, willing to take the blows if it meant the betterment of others — but this time, it simply seemed impossible to get back into the ring. In the aftermath of the scandals, his name was spoken in hushed whispers within the political realm, always attached to another’s sins, and with every denied application for a low-level role within government or rejection to work some hotshot kid’s political campaign, his martyrdom cemented itself as he resigned from politics altogether. 

The sacrifice came at a fortuitous, though undeniably tenuous, time, what with his father’s ailing health resulting in the struggling family business the man had reluctantly taken over just a few years prior. Sonny, ever the altruist, already had one foot in the door even before his father revealed why the business was important: One Man’s Trash, once a charming vintage shop by a more appealing name, had fallen into the hands of the Jolly Rogers — or, more accurately, his father had, reeling from a few bad investments that put his children’s financial future in jeopardy. After all, one child was lost in the woods of life while the other had just taken her fledgling steps in a career filled with no shortage of risks and instability.

Sonny, no longer wanting to cause his family worry, and unwilling to put his sister at risk, agreed to take on the ownership and management of One Man’s Trash, and has ever since been a member of the Jolly Rogers. Four years later, and he transformed the JR’s favored meeting spot into half-shop, half-bar. He wasn’t an experienced salesperson, but his innate charisma and knack for befriending the unlikeliest of strangers has made him many a sale. In his own way, he still fights for the underdog, most commonly through hosting grassroots events on the bar’s off-nights and taking from the rich to give to the poor. It’s for that reason he was appointed the codename of ‘Robin Hood,’ and in general, he doesn’t shy away from doing what the Jolly Rogers ask of him as long as they don’t interfere with his own goals for the betterment of the city. However, with the recent revelation of trifold corruption at every possible level of London society, Sonny knows he’ll soon have to pick a side: willing hero or reluctant villain.

Sonny is covered with tattoos. Some are ones he’s given himself, while others are simply ones collected throughout the years. His favorite one changes every day ( if not every hour ), but he has a particular soft spot for the first one he got in tribute to his sister — a medium-sized rendering of the cover of a book he used to read her to sleep.

Despite having a relatively slight frame, Sonny regularly competes in amateur boxing matches within the middle-weight class. This is a secret he tries to keep from those closest to him, and a revelation that generally comes as a surprise given his impressively calm, jovial demeanor. His aptitude for boxing came about after he quit his first job, and has remained one of his side hustles since then — and a somewhat healthy way to get his frustration with the world out. He has never admitted aloud that it happens to be something that he enjoys, and tries to hide his identity when competing.

Outside of the ring and in his everyday life, Sonny’s a bit of an extravagant dresser. Though it comes with the territory of owning an antiques shop, and certainly helps to sell interested buyers on the fantasy of it all, he enjoys experimenting with his personal style and often personalizes his wardrobe with ironed-on patches and hand-painted slogans. One of his most signature pieces are his red-lensed sunglasses, which also happen to assist with his acute color blindness.

His favorite section of One Man’s Trash is the books section, most especially the vintage comics. As a young kid, he grew up envisioning himself in the role of superhero, particularly when it became clear that there simply weren’t too many heroes walking around with his complexion or various other facets of his identity. Sometimes, he’ll even toss in a comic for free along with a patron’s purchase — something that he thinks will resonate with that person or provide them with a story they might need to hear.

Born in Doolin, Ireland to a traditional/folk singer and handyman, Eden was the eldest and only daughter but the youngest child of three. The love was real and there in the family, but something always felt off to young Eden. She watched as tourists would flock to the ‘home of traditional Irish music’ each year and spend her time daydreaming about running away with them, far away from this place with so many expectations but so little room for growth. She buried herself into learning how to be the best for her family’s sake, in the hopes that this might fill whatever it was she felt she was missing. If there was a problem to solve, it was expected that someone in the community could pick up the slack and figure out a solution, so Eden devoted herself to learning as much as she could, finding she excelled in assisting the local midwives and doctors alike. She wasn’t quite sure it was her calling and passion, but it provided an escape, and after her graduation from Trinity, her next big leap was going to the magical land she had come to hear of so much: California.

Eden has always had a tendency to seem far away. She’s warm-hearted and nurturing at her best, but there’s a piece of her that can never allow herself to give fully into something, whether it is a person or a place. With her escapist tendencies, Eden tends to say yes to others’ without much of a second thought. This leads to her finding herself being taken advantage of more often than not, but by the time she realizes what has happened, she likely already has some choice words planned out and one foot out the door. Eden allows herself to float from whatever draws her interest to the next, which can make her seem flakey or a bit air-headed at times, but she’s smart and will never leave a project half way done if she’s already begun it.

she won a competition for a free summer camp for high schoolers interested in going to medical school at northwestern. she enjoyed chicago, but visited once in winter and hated the cold. what that did for her, however, was open up a lot of doors to then eventually go to hearst college for medical school on full scholarship. 

she has a tendency to say what’s on her mind. sometimes these comments seem a bit unsolicited, but most of the time, eden doesn’t really mean anything by them. 

eden’s current motivations & goals are to complete medical school, go on to complete her residency as a obgyn resident with a focus on trans/non-binary health, and hopefully move into a bigger place. beyond that... she doesn’t really know. it’s her biggest problem with herself at this moment: she doesn’t feel comfortable with knowing who she is and what she wants.

she loves ceramics, and it is a fairly good sign that she’s taken a liking to you if she’s made you a mug before.

crying is just as common as laughter with eden. she feels everything deeply, but she has a hard time processing all of those emotions, and she often will keep things to herself if they elicit a strong emotional response until she has time to understand them. 

she’s really tried to get into wine, being in california, but she truly isn’t a fan. she prefers a beer or gin drink if she’ll be consuming alcohol, but really enjoys smoking so she won’t have to worry about a hangover the next morning.

Apprenticeship Program Name: Radio Campbuzz Project Name: RJ for Rangdhonu and script writer for shows Program Date: Fall 2017 – Fall 2018 Program Description: I joined this program when Kashfia Ma’am was the advisor for the program. She assigned me to a RJ position for a weekly show called, “Rangdhonu”. And I had to write the script for the show as well. What I had to do was be a host for the show and the show is about pop culture and entertainment. So we had to talk about any new update on Hollywood and Bollywood. Program Justification: What the show provided was to let the students know about any pop culture and to let them enjoy some entertainment before going back to class. There were other shows but this show made me realize how fun it is to be a RJ. Due to this show, I was even awarded the best RJ in Radio Campbuzz of Spring 2018. Program Name: Rangdhonu. Program Time: Every Wednesday from 12 pm to 1 pm.

Sonam Kapoor ties the knot! Celebrity marriages are always the talk of the town, especially when it is the much-awaited wedding of one of Bollywood's most beloved stars, Sonam Kapoor. In an event of grand celebrations, Sonam Kapoor has finally tied the knot last Tuesday, May 8, with her long-time boyfriend Anand Ahuja. 30 years of BAMBA - More than just bands After a break of almost four years, Bangladesh Musical Bands Association, better known as BAMBA, recently arranged a mega concert, 'BAMBA Live Chapter 1', in Dhaka. The turnout was huge, with the spacious hall room of the International Convention Centre, Bashundhara, filled to the brim with fans eager to get a glimpse of their favorite bands and listen to their all-time hits. 11 of the 27 bands under the umbrella of BAMBA, including Warfaze, Miles, Shunno, Aurthohin, Nemesis, Vikings, Feedback, Dalchhut, Maq O' Dhaka, Pentagon and Arbovirus performed at the concert. Star Showbiz recently invited BAMBA to participate at a roundtable discussion at The Daily Star Centre. Hamin Ahmed, President of BAMBA; Sheikh Monirul Alam Tipu, General Secretary; Fuad Naser Babu, Vice President; Maqsoodul Haque (Mac), Executive Committee Member; Mohammad Ali Shumon, Treasurer; and Doza Alan, CEO, SkyTracker Limited, took part in the roundtable discussion. Link 3 Mim Mantasha Superstar in the making Winning the country's biggest pageant is not an ordinary feat. Mim Mantasha has won not just a crown, but also the hearts of millions. Awaiting a new journey, the Lux Channel i Superstar 2018 winner shares her story with The Daily Star. A final year student of Fine Arts at Jahangirnagar University, Mim has always been a creative and curious soul. She was an avid follower of the contest for a long time. This year, she finally took the decision to compete. Taking part in the competition was certainly not a cakewalk. “We went through vigorous training sessions. We did yoga in the mornings,” explains Mim.  Before the task rounds, the contestants went through fifteen days of training for ramp walk, acting, dancing, and many other skills. The photo shoots, acting, and improvisation rounds were Mim's favourite tasks in the competition. “I was nervous but in a scene, I got to convince people through my acting that my child was lost. I enjoyed it,” Mim smiles, adding that the competition was an overall memorable experience. Although she is highly enthusiastic about working in the media, she wants to take more preparations before doing so. She is now Lux Bangladesh's brand ambassador and has also won the opportunity to work on television and feature film projects of Impress Telefilm. Avengers Infinity War Review The plot itself is pretty simple. There are six stones that possess mystic powers and he/she who possesses all the stones is by default the most powerful being in the universe. Our Marvel superheroes must forget their own conflicts and join forces against Thanos to restore the fate of the universe and its inhabitants. Of course, watch the movie to know how things pan out. Avengers: Infinity War is the movie of movies, and let me tell you why. Most, if not all, the characters of the MCU are present in this film and bring their own flavour into the mix. Thor is mourning the loss of his home and hammer, Stark feels he needs to take a break from saving the world, Captain America is still out to bring justice the right way, and Hulk has no control over himself. I don't know what formula the Russo brothers have applied in their direction but I watched in awe how all the characters blended to deliver multiple storylines within a movie. Yes, I have also compared this movie to a mega three-hour episode of your daily soap opera. Avengers: Infinity War is the comprehensive Marvel movie; it is the beginning of an end. It lifts you, it hits you, and leaves you with a cliffhanger extraordinaire. See it to believe it and it'll still be unbelievable. By next weekend, Infinity War will top $1.78 billion and could sit around $1.8 billion, ensuring Marvel's year-to-date tally exceeds $3.1 billion by next Sunday.

Deadpool 2 Marketing Right off the bat, you see how Deadpool has scratched out the 20th Century Fox logo and put “TBD,” which is a sly allusion to the ongoing Disney/Fox (and Comcast?) merger drama. The content of the letter is exactly what you might expect from the Merc with a Mouth. Pop culture references, silly puns, bad language, and Ryan Reynolds bashing. Then, at the bottom, instead of the #ThanosDemandsYourSilence, we get #WadeWilsonDemandsYourSisterSorryStupidAutoCorrectSilence. See, you guys, it’s funny! And not at all trying too hard. Kidding aside, the marketing for “Deadpool 2” has been pretty top notch, but perhaps not as great as the first film. Recently, the film premiered a music video for the soundtrack featuring Celine Dion singing an over-the-top ballad while a high-heel-wearing Deadpool does an interpretive dance around the diva. It’s ridiculous and fun. And also, the most recent trailer seems to have struck a chord with fans, who are coming down off their ‘Infinity War’ high.

I have taken all these skills from this program and I even got selected and did a short commercial video for Spice FM Radio. I also learned how to write a script for a radio show.

nestled   on   the   southern   tip   of   the   waking   sea   lies   corona   ,      a   rather   small   but   wealthy   section   of   orlais   ,      HOME   TO   FREDERIC   AND   ARIANNA   AND   THEIR   BEAUTIFUL   DAUGHTER   APOLLA   .          apolla   ,      the   spitting   image   of   her   mother   ,      was   a   healthy   and   happy   little   girl   :      beloved   ,      respectful   ,      and   heir   to   the   coronan   land   .          apolla’s   fifth   birthday   proved   a   disheartening   event   ,      however   ,      as   suddenly   she   began   to   exhibit   magical   abilities   ,      and   with   chantry   law   still   in   effect   ,      this   meant   apolla   would   no   longer   be   able   to   inherit   the   land   and   titles   from   her   parents   ,      and   eventually   was   sent   off   to   the   chantry   mage   circle   of   montsimmard   .

disguised   as   a   chantry   sister   ,      “  revered   mother  ”   gothel   had   come   to   claim   and   escort   apolla   ,      and   when   the   two   never   arrived   ,      frederic   and   arianna   reported   their   daughter   missing   to   the   chantry   .          in   response   ,      THE   MONTSIMMARD   CIRCLE   DECLARED   HER   PRESUMED   DEAD   ,      most   likely   succumbed   to   the   early   stages   of   the   mage   uprising   and   templar   rebellion   ,      and   all   of   corona   mourned   the   loss   of   such   a   beautiful   girl   ,      sending   out   lanterns   each   year   on   her   birthday   as   a   reminder   of   the   young   soul   taken   far   too   soon   .

but   apolla   had   not   died   ;      she   had   simply   been   stolen   .          gothel   ,      a   mage   herself   ,      had   taken   the   young   girl   to   a   well   hidden   tower   in   southern   ferelden   ,      sitting   on   the   cusp   of   the   korcari   wilds   and   the   hinterlands   .          SHE   RENAMED   THE   GIRL   RAPUNZEL   and   taught   her   how   to   harness   her   magic   ,      showing   her   forms   and   spells   written   on   old   tevinter   manuscripts   of   a   long   forgotten   class   of   magic   :      VUN   LEA   ,      sunlight   .          (     solas   later   on   describes   these   texts   as      “   rewritten   and   poorly   translated   elvish   .   ”     )          an   ancient   variation   of   spirit   magic   ,      rapunzel   learns   how   to   channel   her   energy   into   sunlight   and   healing   .

COMPANION   VERSE   :      locked   away   in   the   tower   for   many   years   ,      rapunzel   grows   and   learns   magic   with   gothel   ,   who   has   for   all   intents   and   purposes   raised   rapunzel   as   her   own   daughter   .          having   never   left   the   tower   ,      rapunzel   knows   nothing   of   the   outside   world   save   for   what   mother   gothel   tells   her   ,      and   that   isn’t   much   .          one   fateful   day   ,      gothel   notices   activity   close   by   the   tower   and   departs   to   investigate   and   redirect   them   away   from   their   home   ,      leaving   a   window   of   opportunity   for   the   inquisition   to   find   and   rescue   her   .          rapunzel   steals   away   with   them   to   join   the   inquisition   and   find   her   real   family   .

IMPORTANT   :      rapunzel’s   only   tie   to   her   family   is   a   small   purple   handkerchief   with   the   coronan   sun   heraldry   sewn   into   it   .          as   she   was   taken   very   young   ,      she   has   practically   no   current   memory   of   her   childhood   with   her   parents   ,     and   the   things   she   does   remember   are   few   and   far   between   .

the   first   half   of   her   companion   verse   will   be   designated   to   rapunzel   finding   her   family   ,      which   will   largely   happen   over   the   course   of   her   first   few   months   with   the   inquisition   ,      resulting   in   the   act   one   finale   of   a   gala   in   orlais   where   she   finally   reunites   with   them   ,      before   wicked   eyes   and   wicked   hearts   .          the   second   half   of   her   companion   verse   will   focus   on   her   efforts   to   find   gothel   and   bring   her   to   justice   before   the   inquisition   .          rapunzel’s   quest   line   must   be   finished   before   beginning   what   pride   had   wrought   otherwise   gothel   cannot   be   found   .

in   her   companion   verse   ,      rapunzel   is   a   travelling   companion   and   romanceable   character   ,      but   it   will   take   an   awful   lot   of   time   and   trust   for   a   relationship   to   form   .          she   has   no   specific   spot   in   skyhold   ,      but   can   often   be   found   at   the   statue   of   andraste   in   the   surrounding   arcades   of   skyhold’s   garden   ;      other   times   she   will   be   seen   conversing   with   mother   giselle   ,      sitting   in   josephine’s   study   at   the   fireplace   ,      or   pouring   over   old   tevinter   manuscripts   with   dorian   and   solas   .
