I have seen people complain about Papa Archeron being on the 'Nesta' ship when it was Feyre who kept him alive. I hear that, but...
When people criticize that choice because Nesta treated her father horribly so he shouldn’t have made the effort… I beg you, please don’t ever have kids.
Nesta had every right to resent her father because he wasn’t ever there for her. Not once in her life. And by the end of ACOWAR, he admits that himself. That of all his daughters, he failed Nesta the most.
Elain was his favorite, we all know that at this point, so I'm not going to bother with a comparison in treatment. But Feyre wasn't far behind in his priorities. Nesta even said that Feyre was even more of a princess than she ever was to her father.
Feyre knew about business stuff, knew how to handle bills and such, because her father taught her. I’ll keep saying it : Feyre was raised like a boy. Like the heir.
When Feyre came back with the wolf pelt, he voiced concern about the risk she took. When Nesta talked about marrying Tomas, he didn't say a single thing even when Feyre begged him to keep her from marrying him because Tomas’ reputation precedes him.
When Feyre was at the Spring Court, she thought she saw her father trying to rescue her. That of all people, he would be the one to come get her when it was actually Nesta who did.
When Feyre came back from the Spring Court, he threw her an entire ball.
So now I ask you : what did he do for Nesta? What did he share with Nesta? Nothing.
He failed all of his daughters, but he failed Nesta the most. And it was about damn time he realized that.
He failed Feyre and Elain the moment he lost his money. He failed Nesta the moment she was born. That's why he was on her ship!

Cassian looked over a shoulder, to where Nesta had been asleep for the past few hours, curled into a tight ball against the wall of rock. I think we’ll stay out here for a few days. We’re going to hike.
Nesta has never been on a hike in her life. I guarantee she will hate it.
Then tell Rhys this is her punishment.
ACOSF, page 488
My hands slackened at my sides. “You went after me,” I said. “You went after me-to Prythian.”
“I got to the wall. I couldn’t find a way through though.”
I raised a shaking hand to my throat. “You trekked two days there and two days back—through the winter woods?”

It's very sad that people can't see the glaring discrepancy between Nestha and, aside from Feyre and Elain, the entire Inner Circle. Only Rhysand is 538 years old now, Amren is goodness knows how many, and yet they are the biggest aggressors towards Nestha - and Cassian, her "mate," isn't far behind. In theory, they should be more mature and understanding towards Nestha, they should understand what's happening with her and why she's acting that way at the beginning of Silver Flames, attacking everyone, drinking excessively, and throwing herself into bed with anyone without caring, when they know Nestha was raised to find a good husband. They should do it especially after portraying themselves as such enlightened creatures when Feyre was in a similar situation. But no. Instead, with Nestha, it's just violence, mostly psychological, bordering on physical when Cassian decides to "teach her a lesson," or when Rhysand threatens her with death even after being in her head and seeing everything she's been through, the depth of her trauma, when the mistake was primarily his for hiding the truth. And the worst part is the fandom, for the most part, applauding and justifying the actions of the Night Court based on the argument that "Nestha is a mean bitch and she was lucky the Inner Circle accepted her."
Nestha is just a girl, a newly made woman at best, who never had an exactly easy life to begin with, who has just lost her home, her life, her references, the world as she knew it, who had everything torn away from her in an extremely painful way, someone who isn't handling all of this in a minimally healthy way, and you're telling me that Rhysand, Cassian, and the rest are right in treating her the way they did?

Nesta Archeron isn't unecessarily mean. She snaps back at people!
Nesta Archeron isn't difficult. She just doesn't agree with oh-so-special Rhysand.
Nesta Archeron isn't abusive. She fights with a sister who's not scared to fight back.
Nesta Archeron isn't terrible. She just rejected a male who can't take no for an answer and specializes in harassment. (just because you'd happily jump on his d*ick doesn't mean every woman wants to)

SJM reeks of money. she cannot write a poor family to save her life. the cabin years writing was so minimal and hollow and caricature-esque and filled with gaping plot holes
the closest you Get to any kind of poverty trauma with Feyre is her feeling bad about spending money. there are so, so many factors to consider when it comes to poverty besides just morality over spending money or not
hoarding money
binging and purging money
how you eat
what you eat
what you wear
how you protect what you already have
bitterness and Jealousy with ppl who do have money
being poor and feeling worse when you cannot help someone else who is also poor and struggling (like panhandling)
etc
if I was Feyre I'd be mortified if I had five houses. I'd be embarrassed to live in a giant house (let alone FIVE) while Cassian has to hand out BLANKETS in Illyria. I'd be judging the IC for how they spend the money (which isn't even theirs. "Rhys money" is all blood money and from taxes BE real) and then condemn Nesta for blowing a drop of Rhys' blood money on booze
statistically poor people help each other and give more than wealthy people Ever did. Cassian should also be embarrassed as hell by the IC and how they spend money and their attitudes towards the Illyrians and other poorer fae and even how Nesta spends "Rhys' money"
in both ToG and aCoTaR the series end with the main character flush with more money than they know what to do with it and they're married. it's like one step away from Trad Wife smh
poverty is inherently traumatic and affects people on every. single. level. from what we eat to what we wear to who we spend time with to what time we even have to spend

Said it all!
“nesta had no right to give the mask to bryce.”
nesta went through extremely traumatic events, at rhysand and the inner circles request, to find the missing items of the trove. she was sexually assaulted, almost killed, and endlessly hunted down while in search of those items.
they are hers.
rhysand can get fucked.

You can tell the people who edit the ACOTAR wiki only care about the Valkyries as far as them being vessels to funnel their obsessions with the people they could be shipped with by how Gwyn's page doesn't even include Emerie in the list of relationships, and Azriel's inclusion is a mile long description, which pretty much just focuses on every tiny detail of the bonus chapter.
Plus there is so, so, so very little information about Emerie on that wiki. YOU PEOPLE ARE FORCING ME TO REREAD ACOSF JUST TO WRITE A GODDAMN FIC
Like look at this shit, these screenshot are of the list of relationships on Emerie's page

This screenshot is of Emerie in ACOSF ON HER OWN PAGE

THIS SCREENSHOT IS OF AZRIEL ON GWYNS PAGE

AND I REPEAT GWYNS PAGE DOES NOT LIST EMERIE IN THE RELATIONSHIPS SECTION
AND POSSIBLY WORST OF ALL, THIS GWYN AND EMERIE IN THE RELATIONSHIPS SECTION ON NESTA'S PAGE

WHILST EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON PRACTICALLY GETS THEIR ENTIRE STORYLINE REPEATED IN THE RELATIONSHIPS SECTION OF NESTA'S PAGE.
I understand, that Emerie and Gwyn are relatively new characters, compared to the IC, but they were so vital to Nesta's journey, without them, there is no story. I DID NOT SUFFER THROUGH ACOSF TO SEE EMERIE JUST GET "the pair are very close" AS A DESCRIBER OF HER RELATIONSHIP TO NESTA
This is a romance book, sure, but people this is insane.
I also very much think that this is motivated by the fact that Emerie is clearly into women, and will possibly have a romance with Morrigan, a *woman*, unlike Gwyn who is *potentially* set up to be with Azriel.
I'm not sure how the public editing works on this wiki, but no one can ever add Emerie to Gwyn's page because it's "Protected from editing" which SUCKS

I love the artists in this fandom and the commissioners, they're doing gods work but...
I AM SO TIRED of seeing Cassian having the same height as Nesta or being a little bit taller.
This is Cassian:

Nesta had to rose on her toes to see over his shoulders!!! THAT MAN IS HUGE AF!!!
AND he's a hunk. He's a 500 years old warrior, with big muscles that can crush you head if you happen to be between them... (I meant his arms get that out of your head)
#or when they draw him with tiny wings...#NOOOOOO GOD NO#please don't draw him as a twink😭#justice for my man#nessian is literally the definition of tall x smol#cassian#cassian acotar#cassian archeron#pro cassian#???#yeah whatever#nessian#pro nessian#nesta archeron

Could we also get some justice for Clare Beddor while we're at it, please? According to Feyre, she and Nesta were friends, and we've seen how Nesta treats the people she considers friends through Gwyn and Emerie. A part of me thinks she does know, from that meeting at the end of ACOWAR when Feyre decides to share her story or whatever, but it's possible she left the Clare bit out, since we don't hear word for word what she said to them. So there's a chance she doesn't know. I want to believe she doesn't since Nesta isn't the type of girl who'd let someone hurt her friends and get away with it. Though, since SJM seems to have the memory of a chimpanzee, I wouldn't be surprised if she can't even remember who Clare is anymore.

Someone reblogged a post that said :
‘throwing a fit everytime feyre's validly upset or mean to someone in the slightest but praising nest@ for being downright cruel at almost every turn (sometimes for no reason at all) is truly mind boggling to me’
Certain someone has been unfollowed.
Nesta being ‘cruel’ literally never happens. Mean, sure. But some of you need to open a dictionary and find what cruel actually means. Nesta’s mean moments and comments have been provoked 99% of the time. No one respects her or her boundaries.
Feyre, on the other hand, is arrogant and selfish and a lot of readers fail to see it. She gets mad at people, more specifically Nesta, because she doesn’t get what she wants.
Feyre has been neglected by her mother, yes absolutely. But when we look at her relationship with her father and the way she acts today, I have a theory that her childhood wasn’t just neglectful. It was actually permissive !
She was allowed to ask questions about business. She never had the pressure to marry. She could play outside as much as she wanted. If her sisters had tutors, then so did she.
Because if think about it, there is no reason why an 11 year old couldn’t read, when she was still wealthy at the time. Feyre probably didn’t want to attend those lessons and was allowed not to.
And all of that is translated in her behavior today. No one tells Feyre no, even her father gets brushed off when he does. She always gets her way and does whatever she wants. And since she is now mated to someone who acts like the world revolves around her, it’s not going to change.
When you really look at it, the only person who’s ever told her no without repercussions is Elain. Because Elain was just as spoiled and she says no, it means no.
Then we have Nesta. And when Nesta says no, it’s no… for now. Deep down, Feyre knows it. That’s why she pushes her sister and fights with her so much.
Everyone has to live according to Feyre’s needs and desires. Rhys even orders them to.
Nesta just has to bend to the rules.
It’s ‘you’re my sister’ when it comes to getting Nesta to move into Feyre’s house or coming to Solstice. But it’s never ‘she’s my sister’ to the friends who keep insulting and even threatening Nesta in front of Feyre. And what does that say about Feyre as a sister?
It’s all the noticing Mor and Cassian’s weird relationship. Witnessing first hand them exchanging underwear in front of Nesta and ignoring it and then forcing Nesta to live with a man she clearly said she wanted nothing to do with. Something Feyre would never force Elain to do.
And while I’m on it. How about Lucien too? Feyre is so self-centered, she doesn’t even notice that Lucien before UTM and after are two different people. That he is traumatized. But in ACOMAF she was all ‘boo-hoo’ you gave up on me.
Lucien helped her during her first trial and got whipped for it. Still, he risked his life coming to her cell and she had the audacity to complain he was late. To put the blame for the bargain SHE accepted on him. And then he was used as bait for the second trial.
He tried to talking ti Tamlin and he brought Feyre to one of the villages where she noticed first hand that people didn’t want her help.
But if it doesn’t fit her rhetoric, then she points the finger at others. And that makes her validly upset?
She drags Lucien around like a pet and he also gets bullied by the NC while she says nothing and enjoys the show.
I suppose that’s the thing with 1st person pov, readers gets fooled by one person’s opinion and don’t look at the bigger picture.
Nesta was downright cruel? Based on which part of the book? Apart from the ones where Feyre or Cassian make assumptions about her that she proved wrong over and over again.
Cruel to who ?
Rhysand ? He’s the one who has repeatedly threatened her and the worst she said about him was that he was an arrogant and preening asshole.
Morrigan ? She’s the one who threatened Nesta for merely asking where Cassian was. Who brushed her off when she tried to visit his tent. Who told her she would have chosen to dump her in the human lands. All while Nesta just stood/sat there not responding.
Amren? You want to talk about cruelty, point the finger at the Night Court’s second. For how she speaks not only to Nesta, but to everyone else.
Cassian? She was never mean enough. And canonically, Nesta had only ever reduced him to his birth in a bonus chapter from book 2. You want to know what happens canonically? Cassian pushes her boudaries, insults her at times and she ignores him, gives him a look or even leaves the room. And then he assumes what she is thinking which, after reading her point of view you’d know, he is always very wrong about. What happens canonically is Cassian getting mad at Nesta because he feels entitled to her because of a stupid mating bond.
As for Elain and Feyre, THEY made Nesta’s trauma about themselves. They decided to act in a way that wasn’t helpful to Nesta but to them.
They had to ask themselves whether or not to help Nesta at the end of ACOWAR (Feyre was no, btw). They chose to be mad at her for not coming around the house more often, not coming to dinner (Elain didn’t attend any dinners until after the war) but not seeing that Nesta only agreed/ wanted to see them and not the IC (valid reasons listed above).
Feyre thought that Nesta saying she was at taverns for the music was an excuse. Elain didn’t think to mention Nesta’s passion for dancing until a year and a half after she’d begun destroying herself. Feyre said she’d forgotten about this (because once again, it does nothing for her so why would she remember).
Just like she forgot about her sister’s fear of baths. Just like she forgot Nesta was the one who tried to rescue her but still commented that her sister would only cross the wall for Elain.
Feyre crying upon hearing the bill was heartbreaking, sure. No one wants to hear about someone you love destroying themselves. But she is at fault for a lot of things and this post is already long enough.
Nesta gets mad at people who are disrespectful to her. Feyre gets mad at people for not doing what she wants. That’s the difference, sweetheart !

Also the way people are completely incapable of reading context clues or literally just picking up on the actions of other characters that are right there on the page unless Feyre shouts about it from the rooftops 💀
Nesta never had a chance if it all hinged on Feyre's acknowledgments of anything but her own actions or Rhysands 🍆
”If Nesta cooked and cleaned, why do we never hear of it?”
Oh, please. Trust and believe, if Feyre did it, Rhys or Cassian (or both) would have 10 page monologues berating Nesta for “letting” her do it.
stop if Feyre had to cook and clean we'd never hear the end of it, that's proof enough 😭💀
