So I thought I was someone from Cyberpunk Edgerunners for a while. A long while. Could not shake the thought, but also couldn't pick out who it was? Nobody was really standing out as "me", not even the side characters. And guess what? I'm not any of them!

Turns out, This Fffire by Franz Ferdinand was one of the songs from my timeline. And that just didn't click for a while. Who would have thought?

Could my kin memories stop being so utterly complicated for 5 minutes? This is a game about dancing. I don't need to be unraveling multiple plots to take over various parts of the world, all (possibly) fueled by an angry eldritch god who's pissed that our world existed in the first place.

Like she didnt even want to regain her freedom or take over the world herself... She just wanted to make everyone miserable, so she pulled strings and gave a bunch of villains the power they needed to fuck shit up. So yeah fuck you Cthylla.

I have vivid memories of doing a little dance to Russian by Caravan Palace on a walk back home one day. It was during a time where things were finally settling down, I was traveling the Danceverses with my partners and my young daughter, and I was finally starting to feel okay about my life. Mundane enough for the ask game, but it meant a lot to me personally.

Theres an OC of mine which heavily resembles Night Swan and another villain I dealt with. Right down to being heavily associated to the song You Should See Me In A Crown. (Jack Rose)

Always liked Asriel and just never talked about it (Asriel)

This has been my favorite movie for years and it didn't take long before I got good at quoting it scene by scene (The Dude)

I used to obsess over this kid in my head when I was super young, but never talked about it because nobody else read these books at my school (Seth Sorenson)

I know a lot of popular fanon touches on Grenade by Bruno Mars. And it makes sense given my canonical ties to his songs, don't get me wrong. It's not in the game, but I even remember it distinctly! It was part of the show that really kicked off my popularity as Jack Rose, and people sang endless praises about Grenade in my timeline.

Which is probably why I utterly despised hearing about it years later, after I got out of that part of my life. And why it's still a squick for me.

I don't know whats stranger. The fact that my mother might have lied about sleeping with God and being an alien to cover up her old identity (plus criminal charges tied to that old identity), or the fact that people either believed her outright or were just too scared to question it.

Anyway this new prequel season about Night Swan is really something else.

Ah yes it's "having conflicted feelings about Cygnus hours again"

Like I'm gonna forever loathe what he did to me and my friends. And I'm never gonna call him my dad. But... Damn, he tried so hard. He really believed Night Swan could build a beautiful world for everyone in the Danceverses, its why he was so utterly loyal to her.

And when I was hooked on gods-know-what to blot out everything that bird bitch did to me, he was the ONLY one who suggested I needed help. My "mother" certainly didn't care, since it made me easier to use. But Cygnus did. At least a little bit. Enough to suggest that slamming hard drugs wasn't healthy and that maybe I should talk to someone about it.

I don't know. I'm never forgiving him. But I'll at least admit that he cared.
