Interesting but not really sure whether it’s doing what they want it to do. I’d never heard of this, I know it’s quite a few years ago now but I’m not whether just having a selfie with an unused tampon is really doing anything. Glad it raised money to help and got people involved though.

Yay New York! Hopefully this legislation goes through and many more states follow suit. Few things are more embarressing, undignifying and challenging than being on your period and not having the tools to prevent your clothes from being stained. This is an even bigger problem for low income families. Pads, tampons, liners and diva cups are expensive.

"Around the world, millions of girls face discrimination just for being girls. One way this manifests itself is through poor access to quality menstrual health and hygiene. It not only poses health issues, but means girls can miss school when they have their period and face bullying. Only 12 percent of girls and women have access to sanitary products around the world. Half of the world's population goes through menstruation at some point, yet periods remain a taboo topic for most people. We invited six men down to our studios to discuss periods and the products we use to get through them. So how much did they know prior to the conversation? Watch and see.

#JustATampon​ is a campaign to start a conversation about periods. It is time to break the taboo around menstruation and support women around the world. The stigma and embarrassment attached to women’s periods contributes to gender inequality worldwide.

I found this video really interesting as it mainly focuses on tampons. I also like how each person is filmed individually and not just put in a big group and there is a varying age range. 

I also like how they put a tampon in water to show how much it can absorb.
