Ivan x Alyosha: 28. What are their vacations like?

Ivan is a planner. He plans EVERYTHING meticulously beforehand to make sure they have the best possible vacation, and generally things go according to plan. Alyosha likes to live through each day as it comes and doesn’t really think ahead, so he’s happy to let Ivan plan the entire thing. Now, when things DON’T go according to plan (usually because Mitya got involved), Ivan panics and Alyosha has to take control of the situation and salvage the vacation. Usually their trips are relaxing, though.

29. How do the handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness?

Alyosha can stay calm in the face of disaster. If Ivan is injured he can quickly and quietly drive to the hospital. If Ivan is sick, Alyosha will take care of him without hesitation or complaint and will always be there for him. In canon, he didn’t even make a big deal when a kid bit him down to the bone, so I imagine minor injuries are no big deal. IVAN, ON THE OTHER HAND…it may surprise you to learn that Ivan breaks down in the face of disaster. Alyosha ALWAYS has to handle the situation while simultaneously taking care of Ivan. Alyosha gets a minor injury? Oh dear god it’s the end of the world. Alyosha gets a paper cut and Ivan calls the police, the fire department, and the ambulance in a frenzy. When Alyosha gets so much as a cold, Ivan overthinks the situation of worries himself sick. He won’t leave Alyosha’s side even for a second.

32. Do they ever get into trouble? Is it serious, or are they just mischievous?

I am 90% sure they’ve been arrested at least once, and I’m 100% sure it was actually Mitya’s fault. Ivan and Alyosha together are fine, but throw Mitya into the mix (and he won’t leave his brothers alone, so this is often) and you’ve got a disaster waiting to happen.

34. Any pets?

Alyosha has a corgi named Tula. Ivan pretends not to care about her but secretly he loves that dog more than life itself.

DUNYA X SONYA

28. What are their vacations like?

Relaxing (when they’re not getting panicked calls from Rodya or drunken messages from Razumikhin). They both love the beach, so they tend to take tropical vacations where they just lie under an umbrella and sunbathe while reading a good book. Sonya never learned how to swim, so Dunya’s teaching her. Sonya always has to remind Dunya to put on sunscreen because holy hell does that girl burn easily (it’s a Raskolnikov thing).

29. How do the handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness?

They can both keep a level head under pressure. Sonya is a remarkably good caretaker when it comes to sickness and minor injuries (comes with having three younger siblings). Dunya is good at handling more mundane emergencies, and she usually recruits Razumikhin to help when Sonya is sick. It’s not that she’s a bad caretaker per se, but she know that Razumikhin LIVES for taking care of the sick.

32. Do they ever get into trouble? Is it serious, or are they just mischievous?

Okay I am 100% certain they’ve been arrested at some point, probably for vandalism or something petty like that. Dunya is, after all, her brother’s sister. But unlike her brother, Dunya is VERY good at talking her way out of trouble, and it helps to have Sonya making adorably innocent doe eyes in the background.

34. Any pets?

They have a Holland lop rabbit named Teddy who roams around their apartment and loves Sonya more than anything. She merely tolerates Dunya (no matter how hard Dunya tries to gain that rabbit’s favor).
