New JRWI Riptide headcanons - Star edition:

Chip is really good in astronomy and love the stars because he never had a fixed home or place to live and was always losing the things and people he loved but the only thing that remained as it was were the stars and constellations in the night sky so its the thing that brings him a sense of familiarity and feeling of home (I wonder what will happen when he cant see the stars anymore...)

It is also the very thing that grounds him

Chip knows the story of every star and constellation by heart

He and Gill sometimes sneack to the deck and lay on the floor of the deck or the crow's nest to watch the stars

Gill loves to hear Chip tell him the stories of the stars and costellations and will listen to him for hours without any problem

Gill aways try to get him to tell him those stories every oportunity he can

They always end up falling asleep on the deck and Jay always comes over to put a blanket over them and put pillows udner their heads

Both Jay and gill despite always having the Sun and the moon show up to them that is not the case with stars, which refused to show up to them

Gill has never seen the stars and Jay only see one or two ocasionaly

It is only when Chip arives that sudently they appear lighting up the whole night sky, almost as if they would show up only to him

Gill noticed that and he has tried to tell that to Chip many times but Chip refuses to believe

Since the moment Chip can remember the stars were present in his life, even when the or the moon refused to show up to him the stars always would

Lizzie always tease Chip about this

On really bad days, at night Chip would go all the way up to the crows nest, look into the starry sky and sing, in celestial, all his worries away to stars

If the crew listen closely they would hear the most beutiful yet sorrow and melancholy filled songs, like the cry of a siren or the lament of a mermaid

jrwi riptide albatrio headcanons

I’m ill and have many silly thoughts about these three pirates, so here’s headcanons for the main three in no particular order.  Also as a full disclaimer I’m only on like ep 16, though I have seen plenty of spoilers (and read plenty of fanfics), so if these are terribly wrong, feel absolutely free to yell at me jhksdfhjk

- in order of tallest to shortest its jay, gillion, then chip, and i absolutely have my reasons - gillion’s shorter then jay because i need him to be able to tuck his chin under jay when they hug because he deserves that - and chip is the shortest because i think it’s funny and i think he’d be really bitter about it

- chips got adhd and gillions got audhd - ive said those two before but i must repeat them bc they are very dear to me - gillions is obvious bc like,,, come on - but chip i really dont have reasoning for except i feel it in my neurodivergent bones

- theyre all trans - need i say more - chip is a trans man and jay is trans woman - and gillion is enby and collects xenogenders and neopronouns like a crow collecting shinies - like innitially gillion wouldnt know alot about gender bc hes an extremely sheltered child - but if he ever gets taught about gender he would collect so many like water themed xenos - this idea absoutely goes to tumblr user @spacedustmantis because their wisdom must be shared with the world

- gillion wags his tail when he’s happy - like he does it as a stim - HE ALSO PURRS - like im imagining him cuddling with chip and then all the sudden without gill even noticing he starts like kinda vibrating and at first chips really confused and hes like “bro what are you doing” - and then gillion immediately stops doing it and gets really insecure bc maybe its smth the elders would get mad at him for doing (this is an elders hate page, but also i like putting gillion through pain) - and then chips like wait no i didnt mean it like i bad thing i think its cute - sorry i have many fish n chips thoughts

- speaking of both trans chip and fish n chips - chip used to bind in the WORLDS MOST UNSAFE WAY - like so many bruises, tight as shit, he has them on for like days on end - and then when gillion finds out hes like super upset at human culture - cause hes like “wdym boobs matter?? wdym people would call you a woman if you had boobs???”  - like the concept of transphobia i feel like would be completely beyond him - once gillion and chip are close enough chip trusts gillion to see him without the bindings and gillion spends the night healing chips like lifelong bruises and probably a broken rib - no thoughts, just a hair brading line with ablatrio - chip at the back because his hair is too short for anything to be braided - then chip is braiding gillion’s hair because gay - and gillion is braiding jay’s hair because he thinks it’s really nice and silky - like i bet that girl takes such good care of her hair

these are all i have in my tiny brain for now, but i will absolutely be reblogged/editting this with more ideas whenever they come to me

aka gillion is basically cursed to have body dysmorphia and chip is the wicked wizard that everyone keeps talking about

Guys I just found out about Beastars purificstion ritual called fangs purification ritual in which an herbivore needs to come with a carnivore whose hurt them to purificate the evil spirit which haunts the carnivore and so the herbivore can live in peace, they also need wear a kimono (if you want more information you can search on Google or the manga about it). I now imagine that this ritual exist in the world of mana and is originally from the Eastern sea/Sakura sea, now know as the black sea, there still is the herbivore and carnivore thing but its only applied to anthropomorphic humanoid races. Ok, now imagine the riptide pirates stop on a random island in which that ritual is going on, and so they find out about it and imagine: The locals explain to the albatrio what is it and hkw it works and Gill looks at Chip wanting to do it with him. I know Gill doesn't feel guilty about the fight in ep 15 they had but on my head he always thinks about how many scars he has leaved across Chip's body, each worse than the other, and how Chip has never once inflicted or leaved a scar in Gillion, and I imagine this definaly bothers or at least haunts Gill. So, Gill goes to Chip and insist on them doing the ritual together because Gill wants to redeem himself for all the pain he inflected upon Chip.

Also here is some ideas to what they might wear

Also for some reason most of the red kimonos either were to fancy or for special occasions or were those "sexy" versions (both for male and female kimonos) which made the search harder
