i drew her in a silly trans dress,,,,also circuit lore dump approaching since i submitted her to @sonic-fankid-showdown and havent talked abt her enough,,,

ok so,,,,circuit is a metal sonic/chaos sonic fankid so im starting there because its not the most common of pairs,, essentially they met when nine found a way to build a portal out of the shatterverse to explore sonic's dimension, and allied with eggman temporally since he was the first person nine found,figuring he'd be as easy to con as the chaos council. nine brought chaos sonic with him as a bodyguard and that was when metal sonic got to become accustomed to and annoyed with the new sonic copy since metal cant sass him back. in his infiltration of the empire,nine also may have tampered with metal sonic when he researched the empire's database and realised how useful a fully functional/independent neo metal sonic could be,and after some fallout between metal sonic and eggman, metal took chaos sonic and nine for her own goals,,,and she fr just wins and even gets her own tails little brother,,,,,also that annoying new robot sonic,

by some miracle and a bit of shared romantic deforestation for her new robotic kingdom,,,metal sonic and chaos sonic found themselves being able to stand each other and got together soon after because why not,,they do understand each other best and i imagine that they can be cute together sometimes,

on her own, circuit is pretty chill,and while shes usually quiet,,she enjoys being silently compassionate and tags along with her friend group.her name is an acronym for "Constructed Individual Revered and Cared for Unconditionally In Tenderness" in a moment of emotional weakness from metal sonic and chaos sonic when they first saw her crawling around,,and circuit seems to have been positively influenced by her having such proud and loving parents,and can be fiercely protective of her family if she perceives there too be a threat to their lives,,which includes nine or the other fankid metal secretly takes care of

circuit comes in when neo metal sonic learned that sonic and shadow were having a kid,,and feeling a bit envious of sonic still,utilizing her shapeshifting liquid metal,neo metal created a way to make a robot that can grow just like an organic being from baby to adult,using randomly selected traits from her and chaos sonic to influence how itd be built and develop. (the pg visual is that she built a slot machine or smth to determine if the baby would get vent freckles or quill patterns,,,,)

circuit was fully constructed into a baby robot the same day mordred hatched,,and metal sonic soon forgot about it completely with how obsessed she became with her new kid,and it took two weeks for her to even leave her castle to brag about it to sonic,

anyway,,with some shared babysitters as they grew up together,circuit and mordred formed their own rivalry,and as they both grew into formidable fighters in their own right,their fights have only gotten more intense and violent,,even if they can casually hang out sometimes. circuit on her own doesnt quite understand or control her need to beat mordred into a pulp,and it can only be blamed on mordred being sonics kid and circuit being genetically programmed with a mission to destroy sonic,,and in this case,his son.

[UNTITLED #020]: How Our Team Learned to Never (EVER) Use Pneumatics

I guess the first thing we should've asked ourselves was if using pneumatics was necessary.

The year is 2022. A classroom is filled with nothing but a pneumatics kit (of questionable origin) and a dream. And ~45 students. They also had dreams. Also.

I remember when we started our air-pressure-gauge-reading-journey. The world was infused with the acoustic ambiance of a workshop with power. Now, I am an author who speaks (somewhat) for the team, but, if I were an author that spoke for myself, I might say something about how, while I personally didn't have much to do, I was fascinated just watching them work.

The design for the robot, a claw that would be pushed forth with a pneumatic piston, was almost entirely created by a few of the older students, which sucks because upperclassmen are always busy and they didn't have much help (quick parenthetical of appreciation for those that contributed that year). To be frank, no one really knew what they were doing.

A week or two until comp and our robot was but undone. The workshop was emptier in those days. Our main electrical guy had spent a few minutes making an entire table from scratch wood for some reason (to work on or practice driving with or something; my memory eludes me). Suddenly, we had something resembling a bot. I helped with bumpers.

Were we cramming? No, we were living

And to ourselves, we had to be forgiving

We had no choice

But to rely on a few senior boys

And hope they got the bot moving

Anyway, so we're at comp and we're having all sorts of issues. There are leaks and we have trouble getting past inspection, but if I remember correctly the piston might have worked once or twice. A super nice guy from another team spends like the whole day with us trying to get it working, which really showcased coopertition. Everyone in our few feet of pit is stressed and our president ran to best buy to get us a brand new light-up xbox controller. Eventually, we were able to compete. Our mechanism still wasn't great, so we slapped a dumbbell on the robot and played defense.

We didn't win, but we adapted, and the whole experience only made going to playoffs a year later that much sweeter. Also, we at least got to experiment with pneumatics. But pneumatics is hard guys. And also that game kinda sucked.

We learned a lesson that day. Air likes to be as free as a bird. We were not airbenders. We were but FRC lovers.

In all honestly, though, that year was probably an essential step in the progression of our team. What we lacked in time-management we made up for (further hindered) with ambition. Additionally, we really became comfortable stepping outside our comfort zone (you won't have trouble straying from the tried and true if all is tried and nothing is true). We used a somewhat original design, and I think at least a few students were invested in the outcome. And it was a good time.

Welcome to Voltron: Space Mice Rankings!!! Brought to you by me having so many thoughts about them (which I never thought would happen)

1. Beast King Golion (!!!) - The best version of the mice <3 They have wonderful personalities and are a family who a) love to help Fala (basically Allura) and the rest of the paladins, and b) want to help with the fight against the Galra. You have a father who is insistant on training his family how to fight because they are in a war, and his (a bit cowardly/lazy) family who doesn't want to train. But!! They are determined to fight for Altea and they do such a great job. It is mostly Princess Fala and Shorty who talk to the mice, and they did so by learning their language. Also!!!! The mice get a super cute mini mech that they use to fight <3 And they get actual plotpoints because Honerva tries to infultrate the castle multiple times but she is scared of mice (which is why she has her cat), so it causes problems. None of the other shows use the mice in any plot relevant way. Also, this is the only version of the mice that I think about often <3

2. Voltron: Legendary Defender - I think Allura having mice telepathy is so cool and epic. It's a great addition to voltron, and I wish they had done literally anything fun with it throughout the show (but that was sadly never going to happen). I get excited whenever they show the mice doing silly things with Allura. The mice themselves dont have any distinct personalities, and are very flat, forgettable characters (I have actually forgotten about their existance multiple times). The designs themselves are interesting, but lack the familial element that were there in Golion (and I miss it dearly). I just wish there was a trait that connected them a bit more, like all of them having a connecting ear shape or marking.

3. Voltron: Defender of the Universe - My general thoughts about this show is that it's like if Golion was worse, and this theme continues with the mice. No one is able to speak directly to the mice and have conversations, which is very sad, and they got rid of us being able to tell what the mice were saying. Which means that their space mice episode was boring (in comparison) because you couldn't hear their conversations and silly dialogue!! The only thing they have going for them at that point is that they're cute (but also it's the same design in Golion-)

4. Voltron Force - Eh. They're robot mice. Idk what else to say, they're just kinda boring. I can appreciate wanting to switch it up and make them robots, but I want my space mice to have personality. The show breaks the fourth wall and ponders why they're called space mice when they are from Arus and were named by Arusians, but thats the only notable thing about them.

And there it is!!! If you want to see the mice in their bestest form ever then watch Beast King Golion ep 46, where the mice help fight the Galra in their mech (absolute icons!!!)

happy 10th anniversary to fnaf 🎉🎉 as a little gift to the series that so influenced me i shit out these designs and a fun AU completely separate from the other robot AUs (that being Alien Alien and Your Tears Divine)

i've just been thinking of like this whole restaurant with animatronics like freddy fazbear's but instead it's with these four, Charles taking the lead. i'm not sure if they're actually possessed robots but if they are, the story would go that the real creator made these robots in the image of his family including himself. that creator is James because i don't think you can get more purple guy coded than James. anyway he kills his family and stuffs them the suits they get possessed etc etc it's all very fun (if u dont know fnaf this might be very jarring however i just call it normal fnaf/james things, take ur pick)

Mary's design is meant to be like that of the Puppet's from the second game, so she too hangs around inside a gift box all day until a child walks by and she offers them prizes and candy. she is very attached to that music box of hers...

Anne's design is inspired by Balloon Boy's, so all she generally does is hand out balloons and look creepy in the corner. she was gonna look a bit like Mangle but making a dismantled humanoid robot is harder and just less aesthetically pleasing than a dismantled fox robot...

no art for them yet but i think William and Marly can be the security guards and proceed to have the robots flirt with them all night. actually just two robots (Mary and James respectively...)
