Part of what I love so much about this monologue is how Joey Richter does a pitch-perfect campy queercoded Bond villain performance, but with the addition of all of these incredible, brutal little moments where the mask slips for a second, where the character loses control of this image they're projecting, and we get to see that there is genuine fury and anguish boiling just under the surface. We get to see these little hints that actually this isn't just another campy queercoded Bond villain, there's something else going on here

Joey Richter manages to hit all of these incredible emotional beats, and then just as quickly he swings back into the camp, into the tropes we expect of the Bond villain, getting big and theatrical again like Owen is attempting to cover up that momentary loss of control

These pictures are maybe 10 seconds of dialogue? And he does this a few times throughout the reveal monolgue, and that builds perfectly into One Step Ahead, and that builds perfectly into the staircase scene. Just a real sense of constant bubbling tension, like something is about to snap. Like this is deeply, intensely personal. It's just so interesting and dynamic and adds so much to the character of Owen Carvour
