They are a couple that Tim should be taking notes from; leave the relationship drama in the background, focus on the theatre and friendship aspect of everything)

Overall thoughts; they really crammed all the North High drama into one ep huh. Personally would have liked it if all of this was spread out throughout the last few episodes; like different hijinks for every episode. I'm just a big fan of properly setting up the overall arc over the season instead of patching it together closer to the climax/end of the show. Cos now it lowkey feels like two different seasons - 2A felt like The Rini/Rina Show esp with YAC storyline and whatever was going on with Rina and now 2B is finally feeling like what this season should have been all this time

I know what happens in that show okay, and I totally agree that Robin and Barney are endgame and that’s it and nothing bad ever happened to them after their wedding that’s that on that. I’m glad you agree. Also: Cobie Smulders.

9. Wish they had a different storyline: Alice and Luther from Luther

Honestly, they were doing so so good with them and I loved it but I feel like they lost it somewhere along the way (around season 4, honestly), which is just sad. Final season was just disappointing, and not for the reasons one might think, so yeaH. Still, such great great ship.

10. Actually endgame: Bo and Lauren from Lost Girl 

OKAY so this show was a hot mess and this ship was a hot mess as well and really I wish it was handled better than how it was (cause omg honestly, but also what did I expect from a show like this? lol) but oh well, we can’t get all that we want. But hey, they were endgame in the end and it’s all that matters! Also look at those hearteyes!!! (u can find all the many sex scenes in your own free time)

There really was no good reason for them to go on a road trip. Their destination is a shopping mall. They will have to pass many shopping malls on their way there, and there isn’t really anything special about the specific shopping mall they plan on driving a day and a half to visit. It has an indoor playground, which is cool, but it isn’t like A-Yuan hasn’t been on plenty of outdoor playgrounds.

But ever since Wei Wuxian had read an online article rating it #4 on the country’s most popular mall attractions, he had been determined to make the trek out to visit it.

Of course, Wen Ning and Lan Wangji both knew that Wei Wuxian had been just looking for an excuse to go on a road trip. Their shared partner loved them. He even had multiple playlists prepared “just in case” they ever went on one.

So yes, it really is more about the journey in this case.

Even four hours into the venture, neither Lan Wangji nor Wen Ning regret anything. It’s clear that Wei Wuxian is having the time of his life. Plus, A-Yuan is being remarkably well behaved, especially for a kid his age. He has no problem falling asleep in his carseat.

There is a small bit of silence, when no one gives A-Yuan any examples.

Then Lan Wangji speaks up. “Another person, place, or thing,” he explains, “Think for yourself this time.”

Wen Ning bites his lip, to hold himself back from helping his cousin. He understands the reason behind Lan Wangji’s tough love approach.

The three men in the car wait patiently for A-Yuan to think.

A-Yuan looks out the window, pouting. However, his soured mood is short-lived. His eyes suddenly light up. “Tree,” he says, “Is ‘tree’ a noun?”

“A tree is a thing, yes,” Lan Wangji confirms, proud, “Good job.”

Wei Wuxian beams, bright as early sunrise. He reaches over to boop A-Yuan’s nose. “That’s my boy,” he coos, “So smart.”

Wen Ning nods, agreeing, and writes down ‘tree’.

They manage to fill out the rest of the page without too much trouble. A-Yuan is a quick study, which continues to delight — but not surprise — all three of his guardians.

Wen Ning puts the pencil aside and begins to read. It’s silly, of course, and makes absolutely no sense.

A-Yuan laughs like it’s the funniest thing he has ever heard.

Eventually A-Yuan gets bored of both Mad Libs and returns to playing number games on Wen Ning’s tablet. The car becomes a lot more quiet.

And, as everyone knows, Wei Wuxian hates silence. Within minutes, he reaches to grab his phone, and plugs into into the car’s dashboard. “Okay, I think it’s time for some Traveling Wilburys,” he says.

“The who?” Wen Ning asks.

“It’s a band,” Wei Wuxian answers, which says very little, “Jiang-shushu used to play them every time we went on a road trip. I bet you I still remember all of the lyrics.”

“Mn,” says Lan Wangji, “What do you bet?”

This is a new game that the two of them play. Wei Wuxian says “I bet” so often that Lan Wangji has started to take it literally, as if to tease his fiancé. The stakes are never high. It’s usually pretty cute, actually.

Wen Ning keeps his ears open, intrigued.

“Hmmm...” Wei Wuxian thinks aloud, “How about, if I do remember all the lyrics, you have to wear your shirt backwards all day tomorrow.”

Wen Ning holds his fist to his mouth, hiding a smile.

Lan Wangji huffs out some air through his nose. It sounds like it might be one of his amused snorts, instead of one of his annoyed snorts. Wen Ning is still trying to learn the difference.

But whether amused or annoyed, Lan Wangji says, “Okay. And if you forget?”

Wei Wuxian grins. “What do you want?”

Wen Ning tenses. He almost expects the conversation to take on a non kid-friendly turn. The two recently betrothed men are usually good about keeping things PG in front of their son, but no one is perfect. In any case, Wen Ning is ready to cover A-Yuan’s ears if need be.

But Lan Wangji replies, “If you forget, you will drink tomorrow’s coffee black.”

Wei Wuxian grimaces. “Eww, Lan Zhan, that’s so mean,” he complains, “I’d rather not drink coffee at all!”

“Then you surrender the bet?”

The bait hooks Wei Wuxian in like a charm. “Of course not,” he scoffs, “I’ll just have to win the bet!”

And so he turns the album on shuffle, and begins to sing.

“Well, it’s all right~”

The sky is starting to darken just as they reach their hotel for the night.

A-Yuan is asleep again, but he perks up when he feels the car’s engine shut off. He blinks wearily, and then asks, “Can we eat soon? I’m hungry...”

“This hotel has room service,” Lan Wangji answers, “We’ll eat after we unpack.”

Satisfied with that, A-Yuan gives a small smile which is immediately overtaken by a huge yawn.

“Cover your mouth when you yawn,” Wen Ning reminds him.

They climb out of the car and grab their belongings from the trunk. They wouldn’t have brought much if it wasn’t for A-Yuan. As it is, their luggage is full to bursting.

Wen Ning carries A-Yuan to the front desk.

Check-in is somewhat of a slow process, but they’re all a little too tired to mind. Then the receptionist hands them the key cards to two rooms, along with a booklet full of helpful information about tv channels and menu items.

Though Lan Wangji booked two rooms, they all crowd in one of them for dinner. They let A-Yuan press the buttons to ring room service, and then unpack while they wait for their food to arrive.

Though the night is relatively young, there’s relatively little conversation. After eight hours in a car, they’re just happy to stretch their limbs.

There’s two beds, but they all wind up sitting on the same one.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are instantly entangled in one another. It’s very cute, how they’re even more tactile than usual now that they’re engaged. Wen Ning sits close to Wei Wuxian, with enough space between them for A-Yuan to curl up.

“So, are you enjoying the road trip so far?” Wei Wuxian asks A-Yuan.

The boy nods, and rests his chin on Wei Wuxian’s knee. “But I do miss Kitty, and Cabbage, and Carrot,” he adds.

“Yes, well, your Li-guma* is going to take very good care of them while we’re gone,” Wei Wuxian assures A-Yuan, “But if you’re worried, I can ask her to send us some pictures of them.”

[*Guma = father’s older sister]

A-Yuan probably isn’t all that worried, but the offer makes him perk right up. “Can she?” He asks, “I want to see them.”

“Sure, I’ll text her after dinner,” Wei Wuxian says.

Lan Wangji presses a tender kiss to Wei Wuxian’s temple. “I have my laptop,” he points out, “We can FaceTime them.”

Wen Ning smiles. He loves how interconnected their family is.

Growing up, Wen Ning had a large, close-knit family. He had his parents, his Jiejie, Granny Wen, and a whole gaggle of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Over the years, though, a deadly combination of illness and poverty had dwindled down their numbers. Many had died. Many more had moved far away, out of desperation.

Wen Ning is so very thankful. He looks at Wei Wuxian, and at A-Yuan, and he feels his heart swell.

(He also can’t wait to see Wei Wuxian try to drink an entire cup of black coffee.)

I love that dude in all his various intellectual forms! whether he be creepy or benevolent. I love him. Easily my favorite Alice in Wonderland character. You know what I really want?? a POTC movie that has PPP! what was coined as Practical Pirate Problems! like what Black Sails has! no curses, no monsters, none of that shit! was it was fun at first but now its fucking annoying. I put my OTP playlist on shuffle and got Safe and Sound by Capital Cities. this one is interesting because I’ve had it through a lot of fandoms, OTPs, and characters since it came out. 

I’ve had it for Rise of the Guardians, Welcome to NightVale, The Hobbit, and now you know what I’ve got it for the Boosh. Its not necessarily a OTP song but its good general song for how one character might feel for another character, be they friends or lovers.  WOW that was fun to do!

Way to start off deep, Paula :") hmm... in that time, I'll be 26..? Honestly... i think maybe travelling? I want to imagine that I've gotten my degree at that point and that I've got a stable enough career to start travelling to maybe a different country with a friend or two? Hmmm... I'm not sure if I'd still be living with my parents or not but I'd hope not tbh? I'd want to live on my own with maybe two or three cats :3 because i love them so much. Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone. The only one i remember reading as a kid. I was just in love with it and I regret not reading it sooner T-T

Ash! I remember reading this.... maybe when I was 12 or 13? It was a unique take on Cinderella! It was actually a lesbian novel! And i adored it... I found it so beautiful to read back then. I haven't read it in so long but i genuinely do recommend it ^^

Hmmm... Crown of Midnight. As much as I despise what the TOG series turned out to be, it was my introduction to YA. This is the sequel book and imo, Maas' best work before her... downfall in my eyes >.> also! This book gave me one of biggest otp's ever!!! Chaolaena FTW!! I don't care what anyone says :( Chaol is and will always be my favourite character in this series *sigh*

It takes a moment for Saeran to realize the music he’s hearing is not just in his dreams but actually playing in reality. As he begins to come to, he groans and pulls the blanket over his head to try to block out the sunlight that’s slipping in past the closed blinds of Yoosung’s bedroom. That’s the one thing he hates about sleeping over at Yoosung’s; he doesn’t get the same pitch black he does at the bunker. Which fine, yes, it does help him have a semi-regular sleep schedule when he’s here but who the hell wants that?

Despite every effort to not be awake, his bladder begins to make its morning needs known, the whisper turning into an urgent shout when he waits until he absolutely can’t anymore. He throws the blankets off and dashes into the bathroom, quickly relieving himself and then washing his face with cold water to try to wake up.

There’s still the remnants of yesterday’s eyeliner on his face. That’s not really surprising, considering they both got in late and went straight to bed (well… maybe not straight), so he never washed it off. Maybe he can talk Yoosung into showering this morning.

The music once again catches his attention and his brows furrow a moment in confusion; this sounds an awfully lot like songs from his playlist, not Yoosung’s. Yoosung tends to listen to more Korean based music than Saeran does - kpop and other various things. Saeran goes for a certain genre and sticks with it, following it across the few languages he taught himself back when he was… there.

My Chemical Romance happens to be one of his favorite bands and what a coincidence; it’s playing right now. Definitely not something Yoosung generally listens to.

The smell of cinnamon and vanilla wafts toward him as he exits the bathroom, grabbing a shirt as he passes through the bedroom. He bites his lip and tries to tamp down his smile as his sleepy mind begins to process what all of this means.

Yoosung’s listening to music, and he’s making breakfast. That’s not unusual, and if Saeran’s lucky, sometimes he’ll catch Yoosung dancing to the music.

But today is a little different. Yoosung’s listening to his music and if he’s not mistaken…

Rounding the corner, Saeran feels his heart jump almost painfully at the sight before him; Yoosung, wearing Saeran’s jacket and boxers, dancing while mixing some batter together. He leans heavily against the doorframe, crossing his arms and just watching as Yoosung slides across the floor with the batter, pouring some of it onto his waffle iron. He’s humming along to I’m Not Okay, apparently having picked up the tune one of the times Saeran’s listened to it with him around. A little shuffle here, a shimmy there… It’s somehow both utterly adorable and incredibly hot.

Does he keep watching? Does he interrupt?

…or does he join him?

Saeran waits until Yoosung puts the finished waffle on a plate and pours some more mix in, setting down the bowl on the counter before approaching him. As luck would have it, he happens to slide his arms around Yoosung’s waist right as Yoosung decides to start shaking his ass and gets to experience the famous squeal he has when he’s both scared and embarrassed.

“Saeran…! Oh my god…” Hands go up to cover a no-doubt red face, causing Saeran to chuckle and press a kiss to the side of Yoosung’s neck.

“Good morning, cutie. Dancing to my playlist, huh? Don’t stop on my account…” Saeran nips at his neck and then pulls back, smirking. When Yoosung doesn’t move, he huffs out a laugh and attempts to turn him around so he can see him, laughing a little harder when the man won’t budge.

“Puppy~ Let me see that cute face of yours.”

“No.”

“The waffle’s gonna burn.”

“Shit!” Panicked, Yoosung drops his hands and turns to the waffle-maker, only to be spun the rest of the way around into a kiss and Saeran’s arms. He squeaks and squirms a little in protest at first but quickly relaxes into it, his hands resting softly on Saeran’s waist.

“You’re no better than Saeyoung,” Yoosung breathes when they break, ignoring the beeping of the waffle iron that says it’s actually done this time.

Winking, Saeran reaches behind him and opens it, managing to pry out the waffle one-handed. “You love it.”

“You’re right. I do.”

1. What is the third line of your WIP?

I cheated and put in the third & fourth lines. (This is from the new chapter of Overgrown I’m working on.)

She’d assumed, from what Cass had said on the phone earlier, that the docent himself might be picking her up from the station. Instead, he’d sent the palest and most undernourished grad student she’d ever seen.

2. What is your favorite OTP to write about?

Gosh, hmm lemme think oh yeah that’s right I guess it’s pretty obviously Solavellan because I am 100% in the pit for life

3. How do you take your coffee?

With a hefty serving of creamer

4. Easy squeeze cheese on Crackers? Or just cheese on crackers?  

I’m not sure I’ve ever had the easy squeeze stuff. I usually just have cheese - preferably extra sharp cheddar.

5. Have you ever dressed up as Santa Clause or Mrs. Claus?

I don’t think so but I once directed a play staring both Santa and Mrs. Claus if that has anything to do with this question

6. What is your favorite holiday?

I guess Halloween is the most fun, but I kinda like New Years. I’m not a big fan of actual New Years Eve celebrations - I’m usually asleep before midnight anyway. But I like all the organizing and planning and goal setting that goes along with New Years. That is very my jam.

7. Are you a morning person?

I’ve definitely become one in recent years, and working from home has been very helpful for that too. I hate when I sleep in and feel like I’ve missed a bunch of the day I could have spent working on stuff. Plus, sunrises are very pretty here.

8. Have you ever sang in the shower? What was the song?

I sing in the shower constantly. Pretty much every time I’m in there. Lately it’s been a lot of Jolene.

9. When do you allow Christmas music to be played in your house?

I’ll allow it after Thanksgiving but I honestly don’t play it all that often, except maybe on Christmas day. I do like listening to it in the car during December. There are a ton of Christmas songs I love, but I’ve just got to be in a pretty specific mood to want it playing in my house. 

10. What is your idea of a great date? (not just a good one, a GREAT one)XD

Man, idk. I’m 33 years old and I just want to sit around and play dumb video games with my husband most of the time, or cook dinner together and watch Hulu. Honestly that all sounds pretty great to me.

(Todd) His life in New Prentisstown living without Viola.  (Viola) Her life with the Healers learning about the growing rebellion against the Mayor. They feel out of place, lost, feeling the tension around them, but remembering that the other is out there somewhere.

Don’t Let Go - Adam Taylor

An instrumental song. It’s from a soundtrack, but give it a chance. This one is hard to put into words, but somehow it just has that heartbreaking and yet hopeful feel to it that captures them well.

The End of All Things - Panic! at the Disco

Another sappy OTP song. This song makes me cry every damn time. ‘In these coming years’ makes me think of when Todd finally wakes up, and they know they’ll be together for the rest of eternity.

Fears - MTNS

The sense of sadness they both feel when they fear that the other has betrayed them (aka when Viola sees Todd with the uniform on walking with Davy, when Todd thinks Viola voluntarily left to join the Answer/when he saw her hug the Mayor).

Feels Like The End - Shawn Alexander

Their time separated in New Prentisstown. There are parts that remind me of the desperation Todd felt when Viola was shot and they were greeted by an empty Haven and Mayor Prentiss. 

Glass Heart Hymn - Paper Route

This song gave me “ Chaos Walking “ vibes. Yes, Todd and Viola are still the main focus but it feels almost like an anthem for the story as a whole. ‘One brother’s dead, a new brother’s born’ - Davey getting killed, Todd being replaced as the son in the Mayor’s mind. The chorus of Hallelujahs from female voices like the Answer cutting into the men’s chaotic world. ‘Memories as heavy as a stone’ - the horrible acts that happened in Prentisstown’s past. I could go on and on about this song.

Hurts Like Hell - Fleurie

(Viola) That horrible, horrible moment at the end of the last book when Todd died. Because he did die, and before Ben heard Todd’s Noise deep deep down, they both thought he was gone forever. And she broke.

Heart Hope - Oh Wonder

There’s a bunch of Oh Wonder on here, oops. But their aesthetic is so mesmerizing. And because Hope was a theme in their story, this song seemed fitting. Even if they both never really thought they felt it.

Home - Gabrielle Aplin

(Viola) The girl who’s never had a home outside the walls of a spaceship. Journeying the new world with Todd, keeping her parents in her heart, trying to see if she can really find a home on this new planet, and realizing that home is wherever Todd is.

Human - Daughter

(Viola) About Todd. Especially when he seems distant because his Noise is lost to her, when he seems lost from her in general, when it feels like they might lose. When she’s questioning her own humanity.

Just My Soul Responding - Amber Run

You guessed it! Another OTP song. A bit of an angsty one, when they feel like they’re divided because of the choices they are making in New Prentisstown.

Kids - Stranger Things

Because at the heart of it all, Todd and Viola are just kids. They have seen a lot but they are young, and they are resilient, and they are brave and brilliant and a bit broken. 

Landslide - Oh Wonder

Wow another Oh Wonder song, is anyone shocked? This song is really adorable and sweet. It’s just about people being supportive and kind and caring to each other. Which is exactly what these two have with each other.

Livewire - Oh Wonder

Whoops, another. Not sorry. The moments before they kiss. And then they finally do.

Lost Stars - Begin Again

(Viola) The lyrics will explain it better than I can. Because even though Viola was met with death and fear from the second she landed, she still has a soft heart and won’t lose who she is.

Get ready to cry. From the viewpoint of either of them in the moments when they thought they were going to die in the arms of the other.

Catching glimpses of each other in New Prentisstown. Separation. Hoping against hope that they would be together again soon. I feel this is more from Todd’s point of view than Viola’s, but both work.

(Todd) As the world is watching him become a solider against his will, fighting a war he never wanted and did everything he could to stop.

Madness - Ruelle

Both Todd and Viola being held down by the Mayor’s control and unhinged mind. Watching as he plunges them into war. Watching the world start to burn all around them.

These kids keep getting the hell back up every damn they fall. Reminded me of this quote from the book: “Here’s what I think. I think maybe everyone falls. I think maybe we all do. And I don’t think that’s the asking. I think the asking is whether we get back up again.”

Both Todd and Viola questioned how dangerous they can be when fighting for each other. Everyone around them knows they would burn the entire world down for each other. They fought and won that war for each other.

Start of Time - Gabrielle Aplin

This song was written about the feeling of relief and release that someone experiences when they finally find someone who shares similar ways of thinking, ways of viewing the world, similar experiences. It’s a story of feeling lost and alone but finally being understood. Because the rest of the world always thinks they understand Todd and Viola, but they don’t. They have each other for that feeling of belonging.

True Love - Once Upon A Time

Okay I will admit that this song is a bit cheesy for them, but the title grabbed my attention and I still love this song in general. For those of you who watch/watched the show like I did, you know what scene this is from. When I listened to it for this playlist, I imagined it as the end of the last book, starting with the two of them on the beach right after the Mayor finally gave in. Moving to when Todd was hit, moving to realizing he was alive, moving to past the book’s end to when he wakes up finally.

Wait - M83

Another aesthetic song, really. I’m not sure how to describe it, but it just has a certain feel to it. Some scenario where the two of them are silent next to each other, gazing up at the stars. Or the two of them being separated and staring up at the sky at the same time, wondering where the other is.

The Way - Zack Hemsey

(Todd) This song is pretty intense. It is gritty, and painful, and emotional, and brought me this sense of clash and broken-but-not-taken-down. It builds and builds and builds.

White Blood - Oh Wonder

Ah yes another Oh Wonder song that also doubles as another sappy OTP song. Enjoy.

Flips flops perspectives between the two of them, during the time when they were separated.

Who We Want To Be - Tom Day

Another instrumental piece because I’m a sucker for instrumental pieces. This song always has the ability to make me a pile of angsty feelings. It’s bittersweet. Hopeful but sad. G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?

Do you even need to ask? PHILINDA!!! It’s been my biggest dearest OTP for about three and a half years now and I can just hardly imagine loving any other ship more. 

As for my first one – Callian  (Cal Lightman/Gillian Foster) from Lie to Me. I’ve loved the series from season one and there was nothing I wanted more than those two finally getting together. I was very upset when the show got cancelled right after Cal admitted he had feelings for her but that’s what fanfiction is for, right? Two years later, I was already fully invested in Philinda. 

O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?

So I put my itunes on shuffle and it chose Fools by Lauren Aquilina which is a total Philinda song. But let’s be honest I’m probably gonna say that about half of my playlist.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

Melinda is a total sucker for cuddling and loves being the little spoon, having Phil holding her close and safe and warm

Phil loves Melinda’s hair. Loves it. He loves to smell it, comb his fingers through it, tangle his hand in it when they lay in bed

When they were at the Academy and didn’t get to go home for the holiday they always kept each other company and developed traditions for each

Phil says she has about 50 different ways to roll her eyes developed specifically for him

Melinda’s mom was about to visit her for the first time in her new apartment and she wanted to make sure everything would be perfect for the occasion. She tried baking cookies and almost burned down her kitchen. That’s when Phil came in to help and made them all dinner

Melinda loves wearing Phil’s clothes, loves that she can smell his scent all around her. She stole a fair share of his shirts at the Academy and still has many of them

After long study sessions when they forgot to eat they often ended up in the kitchen in the middle of the night with Phil making them dinner 

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

So I just opened my dash and scrolled down putting here the first couple fandoms I saw

Holby City, Teen Wolf, The Doctor Blake Mysteries

Star Trek – never watched it but my friend is a huge fan and made me beta some of her fanfics 

Once Upon a Time – I was actually invested in the fandom up to like season five but it just turned so terrible I couldn’t watch it any longer and now only have a couple gif sets on my dash every now and then

Brooklyn Nine Nine – I have every intention of picking up this show at some point

Supernatural – I’ve seen like first six episodes?

Z - Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?

Oh man, I feel like people are SO AFRAID of major character death. We’re in this bubble of fic (or maybe it’s just gotten bigger since we’ve escaped FF.net’s awful publishing system and I was never part of Livejournal) where there’s a lack of purely plot-driven fic. Or, not even “purely plot driven” but even just ship-fic that has a plot beyond THEY FALL IN LOVE IN XYZ SCENARIO. So there’s just not a lot that I find where there’s even a chance FOR anyone to die, if that makes sense?

But I would love to write it. I have a plan for one fic where that may happen. It’s tough though. You need the right buildup otherwise it’s just bleh. My only fic so far with that warning is “Catch and Release” and it wasn’t even Kylo or Rey who died, so I don’t consider myself having truly executed a major character death fic that could wreck hearts.

X - A character you enjoy making suffer.

I would like to say all of them because it’s TRUE. I love making everyone suffer, even if it’s just through an awkward encounter at the mall. So far I’ve whumped the most on Rey just because I could? And it kinda fits with her backstory and putting her into situations with the FO. 

V - A secondary (or underrated) character you want to see more of in fic?

*slams fists on keyboard* …I don’t actually have anyone that I can think of rn where I feel adamant about this?

In Divergent fic there’s a lot of putting the secondary characters into really rigid roles. Will is The Boyfriend to Christina who just treats Tris like a dress-up doll. Tori gives advice and isn’t as badass as VRoth tried to make her (and failed a bit) in Insurgent. Lauren is either a New Bestie for Tris or her romantic rival. 

So I guess just… I want people to break them out of those boxes? Use other characters in those roles (make OCs that aren’t just stand-ins for yourself to romance the character of interest) and give the real secondary characters a purpose that helps the plot in another way.

U - A pairing you might like to write for, but haven’t tried yet.

I need to fill a Reysma prompt for TA hahaha. That should be fun. I also kind of want to go back to The Hollows (an awesome book series which I need to read the last two books and haven’t because dammit I hate the end OTP) and write some Ral because dammit they should have had a chance. 

S - Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?

BEDSHARING. Who can resist? I can’t. It’s universal.

I also can’t resist “retelling the beginning of Divergent” because I just want it to be done for MY SHIPPPPP.

R - Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

Hmm. I think in my personal writing I’ve been fairly influenced by Kim Harrison and Jim Butcher. I madly respect @tamorapierce for her fantastically built worlds. I’ve kind of lost respect for some of the fanfic authors that I used to talk about so that list is currently empty. There are some like… “classic” fic authors in the A:TLA fandom that I respect and love, but I don’t know their names anymore bc they don’t write. I also had drawn inspiration from the author of “Dark Times” in the SW fandom (treenasthal or something similar) but they update even less frequently than I do so I haven’t re-read anything of theirs in about 2 years now. 

L - What’s the weirdest AU you’ve ever come up with?

That I’ve come up with personally? Oh god. “Sunburn” was hilarious but I had gotten the inspiration from TA. “Sharpest Lives” is my crackiest AU, so that certainly could count. Within my Divergent fics, I guess the whole Colorfest idea is pretty weird and probably the farthest stretch for being a viable event in the canon universe. I tend to not write totally weird AUs.

OH I KNOW ACTUALLY. I haven’t written an actual fic for it, but I had answered an ask from @lucidlucy with a tentacle porn style AU that I turned into “the hunt for the wild space whale” Kylux/reylux concept. I would love to actually write it but ugh. Where is the TIME?

I - Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

There are certain interests that I have when reading lmao. Some are not for polite company so I’ll keep those to myself ;DI do SO adore a well done “good guy is on the bad side” fic. Dark!Rey fics are my fave. Or just any sort of “darkest timeline” sort of feel like how I’m doing Ash and Torment. There’s something about that kind of fic that’s really interesting to me? Probably because we all KNOW what it’s supposed to be like and just want to see how things will ever get closer to that sort of feel.

D - Is there a song or playlist associated with Prove It?

There is! I’m not fancy enough to bother with 8 tracks or actually make the playlist flow, but I have a Google Play playlist with songs that I put on when I’m writing almost anything Eris. Usually shuffled. Here’s the link and I can make a fancy post about the songs for the 98% of the world who doesn’t pay for monthly GPlay service when I’m back home with a mouse :3

C - What character do you identify with most?

I know this is going to sound SO DUMB but I love Eric. My Eric, that is. Taking his aggressive side and toning it down to a realistic character (instead of a caricature of a villain). Because I’m just… I’m that irked? And annoyed? All the time. And if I had earned the role of Leader in a post-apocalyptic era, I too would make my nemesis’ twerp kids fight to blackout like he did with me in our training days. I’m just not a people person unless I KNOW those people and ugh. Yeah. 

I’m not industrious enough to be Rey. I like the concept of people but I don’t know if I could be selfless like canon!Tris to die for a whole city.

1. What can’t you sleep without? I sleep a lot easier with at least one plush to hug. 2. What are your favorite kind of socks? I have one pair with cute little Pikachus all over them and another pair with cute little sheep all over them. I try not to wear them when I have to walk a lot so they don’t get holes. 3. What’s your favorite snack/meal/drink? I really like soup... like a lot. Especially if there’s a lot of noodles and meat. It’s generally my go-to if I need a pick-me-up or can’t find anything appetizing on a menu. 4. What’s your favorite kind of weather? Sunny and warm with a hint of a breeze. 5. What do you like to listen to/do to relax and feel better when you’re upset? Get something warm (like soup), and get cuddly in bed with my plushies. Also some Youtube. 6. The song is from the concept album/play Chess, and the song is about an American chess player being a douche in Bangkok. I don’t think we’re supposed to sympathize with him, but it can be pretty cringe-y. It’s very catchy and it’s terrible. 10. If you could go anywhere (in real life or in fiction), where would it be? It would be so rad to go to Destiny Islands from Kingdom Hearts. Preferably as a kid. idk, my current age on an island of kids would be weird.
