Next update may take...much longer! I have finals and an internship and not to mention I have to draw- A LOT :')

#Golly!#this is a shorter update but I wanted it to be that way. We've been in the house for a while. It's time to change some scenery!!#Chara using their game narrator voice like “golly!” and “amazing!”#Eimmet high :)) i was really hoping to be able to reference Temmie Chang here. An integral part of UT/DR!! She's awesome!#WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON Day 2 BABY #yes- there is still a little everyman easter egg as well as some other things... ;)#I tried so many new and different things for these panels. I was a little nervous implementing them. But im having a lot of fun with it!#i try to put my own artistic enjoyment above all other things :) its what I strive for.#Angle's landing day! excited for the festivities!#Chara is feeling stabby :)#loved detailing Chara's hand in the last page. When I detail the hands- just know shits getting real #I'm really happy with how I was able to redraw Toriel here. She showed up in the second part and that was it for 2 years -w-#so even if she's not a major character- I wanted to give her some good screen time <3 #I did not make the Darkworld “Mayor” just for that one joke....but dang did it fit perfectly.#these 4 pages took longer than I wanted. #kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #san fransokyo #scenery #my gif #made sure to put equal parts night and day versions of the city #because i think they both look stunning #i love the verticality of this world. it's fun to climb up to the highest point and fly over all the buildings #if i played this game as a kid i feel like i would 100% pretend sora lived in this city and would find a house for him haha #something that always piqued my curiosity was sora's initial response to first setting foot in this world #he's immediately amazed by what he sees and remarks in awe of the city that he hasn't even fully entered yet (he's still on the bridge)#then he quickly pulls out is phone and wants to tell riku all about it even though he just got there #(i'm sad they didn't make a kingstagram post about it that we could see!)#being islanders from a small town i can imagine it'd be an exciting idea to visit a big bustling city and i wondered if that's-#something they've ever talked about together whenever the topic of exploring new worlds came up as children #it could be some sneaky foreshadowing since the secret ending has sora and riku in quadratum which is also a big city with tall buildings #and i'm sure it's no coincidence that a version of riku shows up in san fransokyo

After Max gets all clear from the doctors that she doesn’t need check ups or physical therapy appointments or anything, can live her life as normal as possible now the party obviously wants to celebrate that. And obviously Max gets to decide whatever she wants and she wants a trip to California. She wants to get away from Hawkins just for a little while and she wants to go skateboarding like she used to. And sure it’s a little pricey request but it’s what she really wants and who are the others to say no. At least Steve is not able to say no so he would take her all alone if that’s what it takes. She is worth it.

And it’s two birds with one stone too if the Hopper-Byers are still located there. So yeah they’re going and they can meet them there and at least the kids can stay the nights there right? Have little sleepovers and fun and just be normal teenagers. So yeah they’re going. They make the plans and pack their bags and go.

And Max really wanted to go skating so that’s what they do even tho they all don’t know how to skate but some of them got their rollerblades. And the point is just to hang out and have fun together anyway. But Max and all the rest are really surprised when Eddie pulls out his own skateboard and apparently can skate. It’s not impossible to skate in Hawkins but it’s really not the best place for it either so Eddie is very thrilled to be on this trip.

And Eddie is pretty good. Normally. And he is about to show how good exactly but ends up face planting on the pavement the moment he steps on his skateboard because that is also the moment he sees Steve Harrington in all his rollerblading glory. In his criminally short shorts and little knee pads and sleeveless shirt and his already sun kissed skin and… Yeah Eddie was not ready for that. (He recovers eventually. Partially at least)

This would be what Robin and Steve look like. Robin with suspenders because she is cute like that and Steve in his denim shorts and tight yellow shirt because he is a wh0re<3

And I can’t help but imagine the scene where Eddie tries to teach Steve how to skateboard. He might be athletic but he has never stepped on a skateboard so he is holding on to Eddie for his dear life and Eddie is enjoying every moment of it. (Even the part where Dustin whines because Eddie didn’t offer/refused to teach him but is now teaching Steve)

Also thanks for the skater Eddie brain rot @jemmacdraws I really thought I was normal about it but it seems I was wrong 🥹

#kingdom hearts #kh1 #altantica #scenery #my gif #for the most part atlantica is a bright and colorful world but it definitely has some horror elements #i know a lot of people were terrified of the shark that jumpscares you in the sunken ship #but ursula's lair looks so dramatically different from the rest of the surrounding areas #it's funny how the game keeps the same upbeat music as you explore a giant carcass and swim past ursula's helpless victims #i've never watched the little mermaid but now i want to just to see how this area looks in the movie

Look, Chekov’s gun is a fine way to write, but not the only way to write. Sometimes you can write something in simply because it’s part of the scenery and you enjoy describing the scenery. I call this “Chekov’s Gun: USA addition (the gun is just there on the table for no reason, and the writer is mentioning it because they are describing the scene)”
