I don't know why it took so long for my brain to put together the two facts that (1) I have done a cosplay of Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club, and (2) NateWantsToBattle has done a song inspired by her / from her POV, but now that it has, my GOSH do I want to somehow do something with that song while in cosplay.

Went to a really cool Japanese culture festival yesterday -- I wasn't sure if it would lean more towards serious culture or weeb territory, but it ended up a pretty even mix of both 😂

It was a really good time hanging out with some super nice new people and trying out a local event! I even got a little Sayori charm as well as earrings that look a lot like Mappi's ;--;

I was THIS close to having to explain who Elias is to my mother 😭😭😭

It's going to be an interesting conversation when Fanexpo comes around and she's like "so who's this character"

And I have to explain the premise of the Magnus archives and what The Magnus Institute is, and then HOPEFULLY I can just leave it at "Elias is the head of the institute" and she doesn't ask any further questions

She's probably going to ask about the pipe though

So I will have to explain that.which will kinda suck

And she'll wonder about the eyes too but I'll explain the whole Dread Powers thing when I explain TMA, so that shouldn't be a big deal

If she asks why I wanted to cosplay him I genuinely will not have an answer. I don't even know why. I made a spur-of-the-moment decision a few nights ago and now I'm planning to properly cosplay him for Fanexpo Canada in August
