On Nerevarine lore…I’m honestly not too deep into her lore outside of silly AUs :)

Really, I think my Nerevarine is a tough character to write about, they themselves don’t even remember their own lore, due to uhhh, reincarnation reasons

Their lore mostly includes small stuff, like her enjoying mycology and that she has 3 scribs called Salty, Bitters and Sweets, all with corresponding personalities, which is just. Fantastic imo

Though I probably will expand ideas about their lore through small comics n’ stuff :)

Hello! I've been on tumblr for a while but I've decided to make a new main to pair with my ao3 account.

you may know me from my tES, Tolkien, and Assassin’s Creed days (still love them, just not as active in those fandoms anymore)

infodump about rilles....tell me whatever tha hell u want. i need to know about this bro.

Of note is that he’s not like, the Vestige by any account he’s just Some Guy

OKAY so the basics.  He was born 3 Suns Dusk 2e388 in Molag Mar.  He is intersex and bisexual and agender, uses he/him only.  He’s 5’4”.  He cannot do magic unassisted.

SO he grew up in Molag Mar with his single mother.  There wasn’t really anyone else his age around the canton, but he did like speaking with the pilgrims on occasion.  His mother, Itreth, was an Ordinator who pushed him to pursue a career serving the Tribunal.  She was… not the best.  She loved the Tribunal above all else, and her support for Rilles only went so far as he was willing to follow her plan for him.  He moved out in his early twenties and never saw her again.

So then he’s in Gnisis, living with his older cousin Nerelam, who is a greef brewer under the majorly successful Master Llanos.  He gets a job working at the kwama mine and he likes it a lot actually!  Eventually a new miner, a Bosmer named Dirrin, comes along and Rilles befriends him.  He, Dirrin, and Nerelam frequent the cornerclub to wind down from work and socialize.  Over time Rilles realizes he’s been repressing a load of trauma he doesn’t know how to deal with and over a few years he develops a drinking problem.  Starts getting overwhelmed with work and distancing himself from his friends.

After several more years he has his breakdown and leaves Gnisis without specifying where he means to go, but I don’t think he ever had any idea in the first place.  He ends up at the family tomb, where he steals like the one relic of any significance they have, a greatsword belonging to an ancestor who served at the Battle of Red Mountain.  He leaves Vvardenfell entirely and ends up wandering Tamriel for a long while, eventually meeting and settling for a while in Auridon with his partner Arelion.  They date for a good while before Arelion brings up the idea of marrying and starting a family, after which Rilles panics and they break up.  (this is about 22 years before eso begins)

SO he’s wandering around again doing whatever he can to keep moving and maybe make some money along the way for like, staying in cities.  Just after the Planemeld starts he begins writing back to his cousin.  Eventually he gets a letter informing him that Itreth has died and he goes back to Vvardenfell for the funeral hoping to get some closure (he doesnt really), and stays in Gnisis again for a few months but he figures out that just being there is a major source of stress and leaves again.

Then he meets Carmie :) I don’t have a very precise timeline after that lol

anyway HERES some misc facts about him

- he LOVES sailing and being on the water

 -his fav toy as a kid was a little netch plushie that nerelam gave to him

- at some point before meeting carm he shatters the family greatsword.  he’s very torn up about it and believes that his family will never forgive him 

- he also never confessed to being the one to steal the greatsword

- he does not pass on the location of the ancestral tomb to his children; its location is unknown to this day

- he was once chased off one of the cliffs outside gnisis by a cliff racer.  he broke his arm and bruised his ribs but got to spend his recovery time with the scribs in the mine so he didn’t much mind

- he loves being around other people but he’s absolutely not good at actual socializing

- he can quote several temple texts from memory but would really prefer not to

- his friends say of him that he has a sparkling sense of humor and a contagious laugh :]

- he’s an excellent cook!!  he really has a knack for figuring out what flavors go with and complement each other and he LOVES experimenting.  any man would be lucky to have him

- he received vivec’s blessing when he was a baby.  vivec recognized him when he finally made his way to the temple
