Can we ask your ideas for Seraphine if she was used in Arcane?

But to be honest; I will answer this with my headcanon that I think fits for Arcane & LoL all the same (there again; all of this if personal taste & ideas randomly written. Don't take it as the only single thing that could work for Sera, this is merely what I will use on my own divergence until Riot comes to me with something aligning better ♥)

Seraphine’s abbility striving from a form of ‘magical synesthesia’ & sensitive to the subtle changes on other’s aura upon different emotions.

I personally think her magic abbility could had been semi-dormant most of her life. Not truly showcasing itself properly on her early years beyond hearing sensitivity, passed down by doctors as hyperacusis. As she grew into her late teenager years, helping on her Dad’s workshop repairing several instruments, little inventions, small mechanisms & so on from people of the Academy of Piltover, some little glimpses of her true power would start to manifest, as like she could be right in front of someone & her senses would pick a variety of sounds that weren’t really there.

Unknowing to her, her magic was responding to the Arcane coming from the tiny hexcrystal embed in some experimentation or the lingering invisible power of simply being around those labs more often than not. Also, before confusion: No, the hexcrystal don’t sound to her like a voice or soul as the disaster Riot tried to pull on her release with the Brackern. The way the crystal attune to her magic & bring it forth is closer to using gemstones in witchcraft practices if you may.

She would be slowly realizing more & more how her ability was growing to the point of being painfully uncomfortable. Even when some people sounded like serene sounds, some others would sound too loud & extreme. It wouldn’t be until Professor Heimmerdinger would arrive to their workshop, due how good it was talked it about from Colleagues & students alike that he wished to know the people behind it. He would be the first to notice the Magic in her (I assume that he, as a Yordle, would be more able to click with the thing), and imagine that he would offer to help her Dad to come with special headphones to muffle the sound.

A part of me would wish that Heimmerdinger would help her understand her magic-by-right. She wouldn’t be in the same regard as his other students like Viktor, obviously, but Seraphine having a mentor over magic & her talents for crafting could be great in my opinion. Let me dream that Sera’s true dream is going to the University of Piltover, she’s clever & capable, and more than a pretty face with a nice voice, okay?

That above most of Season 1, closing with a little comfort hc I had for Porofessor & how it is now with Seraphine.

During the events of Season 2, I think would be the time she would see the problems arising between the cities worse than ever, the injustice brought back & forth. Her Zaunite parents may had told her about it before, yet it’s a very different thing to ‘read history’ than ‘live history’ unfolding itself. I think she would try to join people sending aid to the most needed places, especially after Heimmerdinger had let them know he was going to Zaun to offer the aid he could. Her Dad would probably be terribly against it, but she would go nonetheless to small secret bases collecting humanitarian aid for those in Zaun.

I think that idea of her wanting to unite Zaun & Piltover from Riot, could be implemented as ‘I dream of the cities finding peace’ and she moving to organize sending aid. She would try to craft breathing masks to be send there in secret, for example. Sometimes the tiniest voice can speak louder than a crowd.

I imagine her impulsive & reckless, hoping for the greater good. But also very down to earth, after the marshall law was imposed. She would know when to speak, and when to shut down, doing things behind the scenes to aid those in most need. During all this time, & aided by the little piece of hexcrystal on her headphones, I imagine her magic would be growing even if she didn’t know. Attuning to every emotion around her, to the point of accidentally affecting people too.

We know in her in-game abbilities there’s healing spells, I imagine that perhaps her voice could ‘soothe’ pain. Not healing entirely, but soothe the pain in people or help them to stay calm, which during those times could come good in hand. A happy accident of some sort.

Now a bit of extra possible-maybe self-indulgence: During the proper “Noxian Invasion” part of Act III, I imagine even her tried to join part of the people not wanting to leave, almost escaping from her Dad’s side. Pleading him to stay safe with those evacuating, along with Porofessor & her pets.

“Maybe Professor Heimmerdinger was right; & this gift shall be to the serve of the People”

All she would hear last would be her Dad calling for her as she would rush into the crow.

& listen, I’m probably already turning this into a fanfic most likely (?) ; but maybe some of her abilities develop too while protecting people with shields of magic that would feed upon the strong emotions all around her & her wish to help.

But that’s more a what if either way;

About her ‘Idol’ phase, I imagine that would come to develop as she singing with people during celebration of the victories, she starting to compose & sing songs written upon the experience of those cities, telling the tales & memories of those who fiercely tried to defend them, with the years that may re-shape itself into her becoming known among both Piltover & Zaun as an indie singer.

No yet a big star (despite having her little amount of fans and participating on music festivals later in time), but just someone singing their stories, who also happened to be great to repair mechanic items.

Seraphine may probably try to learn more about her Magic as time goes by, eventually realizing her voice commands it. For now, she’s happy to be a voice that brings cheerful emotions, & a hand to help build the incoming Future.
