i FINALLY finished dungeon 3 in persona q so it’s finally time for me to yell about how much i hated it. If you are bffs with the Evil Spirit Club Dungeon from Persona Q i am so sorry i’m about to be so mean to it. and not in a nice way this is pure rant to make me feel better kind of thing.

WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING.

I didnt have a single good moment in that fuckass dungeon. And i LIKED THE TWO BEFORE IT. THE ALICE IN WONDERLAND ONE WAS COOL. THE DATE CAFE WAS GENUINELY FUNNY. I THOUGHT OH YAY! A HORROR THEMED ONE! I LIKE THAT!

1. i really shouldn’t have to say this cause ATLUS nonsense and i shouldnt be shocked, but it is so goddamn annoying to have a horror themed section and the ENTIRE TIME they’re like “girls get scared and boys dont get scared. It doesn’t matter what character traits we’ve given these characters, obviously we all know that girls find creepy things scary and boys dont” IT IS INFURIATING. because one it is demeaning, but two, DO YOU THINK I, FOR EVEN A SECOND, BELIEVE THAT MITSURU “AWAKENED TO MY PERSONA AT 7 YEARS OLD” KIRIJO WOULD BE SCREAMING AND SCARED OVER A DARK HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT?? DO YOU THINK IM A FOOL?? Like Yukari has a track record for this kind of thing! So does Chie! Whatever! MITSURU?? So annoying. And like, some of the boys would definitely be scared!! fucking stupid.

2. THE PUZZLES SUCKED. i love puzzles. I. Love. Puzzles. Every “puzzle” in that dungeon was insanely dumb and made such little sense and basically wasn’t even a puzzle. And they weren’t fun to solve!

3. THE F.O.E.S WERE INFURIATING. the jumpscare ones were cool! The regular enemy that follows you is kinda annoying but fine. THE ONE THAT FOLLOWS YOU TWO TILES AT A TIME? WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA???? Even with the lights on, some rooms just dont fucking have lights! So it felt impossible to avoid it but also easier to just push through and runaway from battle. Also fun fact! You can get stuck between two F.O.E.s on the fourth floor without any way to move. Very cool. I even looked up a walkthrough because i was like surely there’s an easier way to deal with these. And the person doing the walkthrough ALSO JUST STUBBORNLY KEPT RUNNING AWAY FROM THIS F.O.E. LIKE FUCK MAN.

And that’s just the basics. Because this is already long enough. But i could go way longer. The ONLY good thing was that AFTER the dungeon, Yukari had some really good character stuff and talked through her frustrations and feelings with Rise and Fuuka. I genuinely liked that. But that was AFTERWARDS. oh my god i have never wanted to stop playing a game more than because of evil spirit club. AND I DONT QUIT GAMES. and the worst part was that it wasnt even TOO HARD. it was just STUPID. If it was hard, i couldve grinded and strategized and gotten better. BUT THAT WASNT THE ISSUE. ohhhh my god i need the fourth dungeon to be better. Fuck you evil spirit club.
