Thank you so much for following me. What's your favorite and least favorite Ren and Stimpy episodes?
No problem! I really like your art and stories :)
My favorite Ren and Stimpy episodes... Gosh, there's so many, this question is hard to answer!
If I had to pick one, it would be My Shiny Friend.
Tumblr media
Such a gloomy, nightmarish, yet very fun episode (great, fitting color palette BTW)!
I like the two sided nature of this episode. Neither Ren or Stimpy is really in the right. While Stimpy's addiction to the television is concerning, it's not like Ren has the moral high ground either... he restricts when he goes to the fucking bathroom like an abusive boss, and he locked poor Stimpy in the basement for a year with no contact with other lifeforms! Do you know what that kind of solitary isolation DOES to a person?! It breaks them... I think it's worse than the time he tried to murder Stimpy in Stimpy's Fan Club, because that would at least be quick and painless, and he wouldn't have to live with trauma.
Tumblr media
Look at Ren, weeping at and comforting Stimpy, as though he's so concerned for him. He actually thinks he's HELPING by locking him away in the pits of the basement to waste away and suffer. It's so beautifully tragic.
Tumblr media
"Love You Stimpy" Yeah, given what Ren DOES to Stimpy in this episode, that could not be further from the truth. Or maybe he does love him in a fucked up, unhealthy way. Either way, Stimpy is still someone to be pitied. (Also I love the background music in this scene)!
Tumblr media
The suffering begins. Note the decrepit 5'o clock shadow on Stimpy. He has been rotting in this dirty ass basement for quite some time already.
Tumblr media
This nightmare scene always gives me the chills to think about. Not just because a distorted, heavily slowed down version of the Muddy Mudskipper song is playing in the background (love the atmosphere in this episode, did I mention that?), and the fact that we literally see Stimpy getting BLOODY eaten by Muddy, but also because of what it implies.
Stimpy has no real peers outside of Ren, who physically and verbally abuses him 24/7. Really, the only people who he can seek comfort from are idols like Muddy Mudskipper. So imagine being in a vulnerable position after being severely abused. You need someone to lean on so you can feel safe... That someone, for Stimpy, is Muddy. Stimpy states in this very episode he "loves" Muddy. Imagine that person you love, the only person you can count on to find comfort in when times are tough, the one single solace in your life, suddenly turns their back on you and beats the shit out of you and insults you. After you already had to deal with enough of that already. Not you too, Muddy! You can't be like that! You were... supposed to be... the only one... I loved... you... I thought you were different... I guess no one will love me. I have no one. Nothing...
Tumblr media
I love the way Stimpy gets into fetal position. He's so fragile and helpless. But look at that mattress- there's clearly red blood stains on it.
This implies that Ren has been BEATING Stimpy until he bleeds during his time in the basement. I love the subtle little way they implied that. These hidden easter eggs make these episodes so rewatchable, it's like I'm uncovering a new story!
Tumblr media
Love the dystopian, sad colors here. It looks so oppressive and I'm here for it! Stimpy looks like a helpless little kitten who has no idea where he is... I wanna hold his hand
Tumblr media
The way Stimpy breaks when he realizes his fate. Soft, silent weeping. No hope. No soul left. No joy. Just cynicism and sadness overtake him. Poor fucking guy.
I love this episode for the two-sided conflict, the gut-wrenching atmosphere, the ways it makes you feel for Stimpy, and all the dark little implications about the characters in their situation. Everything I like to see in a Ren and Stimpy episode bundled up into one package.
Episodes like Ren Needs Help, Stimpy's Fanclub, Double Header, It's a Dog's Life, and Life Sucks are also enjoyable to rewatch for similar reasons. Stimpy's Invention is also one of my favorites but it's been talked about to death so I won't talk about it here.
Now, as for my least favorite episodes: It's rare I have any episodes in this show I actually dislike, so I will just list them off:
Untamed World: So boring and slow. The joke is "look, all the animals on the island look like ren and stimpy!" Repeat for the entire episode.
Hard Times For Haggis: Character nobody cares about gets the spotlight and all the pity while Ren and Stimpy who are supposed to be the main characters get sidelined. Lame. They spend most of the bloody episode bound and gagged, they have no fucking agency! Who the hell even likes Haggis, he's just a guy who is also a Scottish stereotype, and he's ugly lol...
Sven Hoek: An absolute fan favorite... Why? I'll copy paste what I had to say about Sven Hoek (both the character AND episode) from a deviantART comment I made a while back because he doesn't deserve the extra effort.
"his voice is annoying, he's ugly, he and stimpy have no chemistry whatsoever and don't play off each other at all (anything sven likes, stimpy likes too, it's like watching a two-headed idiot talk to himself. i like stimpy and ren's dynamic more because it provides more contrast).
there is nothing to like about him. as dumb as stimpy is, at least there are other things to like about him, like his kindness, compassion, willingness to help others and talent as an inventor. he's not completely worthless as a person.
what the fuck does sven provide? the only thing he does is be stupid and derp around with stimpy for 22 minutes. he is a waste of space with not a single worthwhile thought or action to bring to the table. i wish ren really did rip his lips out and tear his arms out of the sockets and gouge his eyes out! xd"
This episode basically had no plot. Sven and Stimpy fuck around, that's it. The only entertaining part of this episode is the ending. I liked seeing Ren threaten and verbally assasinate Sven and Stimpy. The characters all going to hell after Ren whizzed on the electric fence was funny too.
Ren's Brain: This is a rare time where I am sympathetic to Ren. This entire episode is about Stimpy intellectually crippling Ren and taking advantage of that for his selfish benefit. I admire Stimpy's intellect in regards to his neuroscience and outsmarting Ren, but the way he treats him like a puppet is not fun to watch. It's cruel. Cruelty is not in Stimpy's character. Why did he do something like that?
Thanks for giving me an opportunity to dump my thoughts out onto the internet like that! I really enjoyed it and I hope to see more asks like this in the future!

I just discovered your posts and I really like them! I read that you do readings for scandals… So…. Could you please do a reading about Jessica leaving SNSD? It's like my big doubt as Sone for years. Did the girls really set out to get Jessica out? Was there jealousy or insecurities involved? The parents of the members were involved? Already before there were irremediable conflicts between them?
Why did Jessica Jung leave SNSD?
Tumblr media
Ace of cups, Page of Pentacles, Queen of cups, Seven of Wands, Ace of Pentacles, Five of Cups.
seems that she wasn't getting much opportunities? Or that she wanted to have her business? She was successful in her time in the group but the Five of Cups is regret..? Wait, was she ever in a relationship? Or even pregnant?? (Alleged for entertainment purposes only). I heard something with relationship but pregnancy could make sense. She was pregnant but regret something? Ohhh maybe she was pregnant with someone's child but she was told to get an abortion and felt regret? Idk I'm kind of lost here
Was Jessica kicked out because she was pregnant?
Page of Swords, Page of Pentacles, Temperance, The Moon, Two of Wands, Four of cups.
wouldn't be surprised if it's true ngl. It seems that she was worried the word would spread. The moon, something is not as it seems? She probably kept her emotions well hidden and private. She was most likely (actually she was) forced to by some dominant, powerful individual. This would have destroyed her career if it got out and needed to keep her image clean and proper.
Did the SNSD members try getting Jessica kicked out?
The Empress, Three of Pentacles, Three of Wands, Four of Cups, Knight of Wands, Six of Cups, Seven of Cups.
I think so? Was Jessica more popular by any chance? Or that she was probably more talented/beautiful and they were jealous of the attention she was getting (The Star is on top of the pile btw) Im not sure if all but they were definitely some members jealous and unhappy about their popularity compared to her. I feel that that company might be to blame. Perhaps ever since their trainee days Jessica was favoured then all of them and they might have been told untrue things about her. The reason seems that they wanted to shone and be profitable.
Which SNSD members were jealous of Jessica?
Justice, Seven of Wands, Two of Swords, Six of Cups rev, Wheel of Fortune, Five of Cups, Strength rev, Five of Wands
It's DEFINITELY not just one I won't be surprised if almost everyone were jealous of her at some point. Something tells me that they might have known each other from past lives and this is a karmic bond. Yeah these members felt that it was unfair how she was getting favoured and we're upset. They definitely fought about it, either with her or each other.
Were the parents of the SNSD members involved in the conflict?
Six of Cups, Queen of Cups, Wheel of Fortune, Strength, Ace of Cups, 8 of Swords
Most definitely were while others felt helpless seeing their daughter unhappy. I don't think the parents themselves hated her they were just defending their child and thinking they were right.
Did Jessica and the SNSD members had irredeemable conflicts before Jessica got kicked out?
Six of Wands rev, 10 of Cups, 8 of Cups, Queen of Swords, Page of Pentacles, Temperance.
Some members kept their calm and would try walking away from the situation while some were having conflicts again, they felt underappreciated compared to her. I keep thinking of an Aquarius/Libra/Gemini (but a strong Aquarius) who was involved in it and was planning on making business moves off this.

OK hi hey hello I know these photos have been out for a bit but uh I'm really bored rn and I haven't looked too deep into minor shit in a bit sooooo
let's dissect some promo images shall we?
(pulling these images from this post btw)
Tumblr media
I have nothing to really say about this image (it's most likely nandor defending guillermo's idea of going to the mall)
I just want all of us to take a moment to appreciate this photo
Tumblr media
1 DEREK'S FACE XD
2 memo in this photo <3
and 3 this is like five seconds before the turning gets fucked sideways
I'm assuming guillermo is talking about how he didn't expect this is how he's going to get turned, how this is a new chapter in his life, he'll try to make the change he wants to see and/or how from that point on word he'll be a new guillermo de la cruz (basically what he said at the beginning of season 4)
Tumblr media
AND THE LASZERMO SHIPPERS GO CRAZY
I AM HERE for this fucking photo
now we all know this is five seconds before they aggressively make out and laszlo is making sure nobody especially nandor else sees this is probably the moment guillermo tells laszlo about his current situation
HOWEVER what I'd like to point out is the fact that this convo doesn't happen until the second episode (you can tell it's the second episode due to the outfits)
also I would like to also point out the fact that if the whole baby colin shit didn't happen laszlo wouldn't be helping guillermo out not just because baby colin brought them closer but laszlo is probably gonna use helping guillermo out to distract and cope with the loss of baby colin
he's been helping colin out for the last two seasons and now that he doesn't need his help and he doesn't really remember and entire season of him and the gang helping him he misses the feeling of helping out someone who is helpless to their circumstances
aND GUESS WHAT GUILLERMO IS
so yeah weirds ass coping mechanism laz but I'm here for it
Tumblr media
my gut at first said this was derek warning guillermo about being a vampire BUT THEN I REALIZED GUILLERMO IS WEARING A DIFFERENT OUTFIT
soooooo what is probably happening is guillermo talking to derek about this whole thing going all fucky wucky
or this is after the turning and guillermo just changed into a different shirt since the other one got bloody idfk
Tumblr media
and finally why tf did they go to a steak house??????
overall OJDQIW0UHOGJDVGHIWPGFJEVKBDWLHKSDJBLWHFBKVHIQOJ WE'RE GETTING SO CLOSE TO SEASON 5 OMFGGGGGGGGGGG

I find it hilarious that the only takeaway they have from my edit is "Blake and Yang were edited out, clearly SYTO hates them". The edit in question btw.
youtube
Um, no. If anything, all my edits were done to portray Team RWBY in as good a light as possible. Removed all shots of Blake and Yang acting like helpless bystanders, when they're trained combatants who are supposed to be in perfect sync with Ruby. Having them offscreen would be preferable to making them look this uncoordinated.
And removed the shot of Ruby flailing and screaming through the air because this show loves forgetting its one unique trait in all of fiction (but does barely anything with that golden idea) of using weapons fire and recoil to completely trivialise falling, i.e. Ruby just looks incompetent. I made the characters look better as a net positive and you blockheads think I hate them, for fuck's sake.
"Yang and Blake are just in shock/concerned"
Yeah, I remember this same nothing argument when they were all standing around watching Ruby drink the tea as well, or Ruby being unable to save Yang from falling in V8. For an action series, it sure relies a lot on inaction to function. Call the bad direction/editing for what it is, please. God forbid I want the characters to act at the same level of competence and situational awareness they did in their very first trailers ten years ago.
Tell me it wouldn't be more in-character for Yang to immediately rush in upon seeing Ruby in danger fighting a Grimm by herself. Tell me Blake can't just use her shadow clones or Gambol Shroud to grab Ruby or get up to her. This generic "stand around gasping" reaction being applied to all the characters is exasperating and erases any unique reaction or agency they would have in the scene. And if they're not supposed to enter the scene because it's not in the script/too much work? Just fuckin' cut them out, you literally lose nothing from having them be offscreen and the focus be on Weiss helping Ruby.
Also note that Canonseeker is a fucking scumbag and nothing they say should ever be taken with an ounce of seriousness given their history across the RWBY fandom and their complete willingness to impersonate and misrepresent me in the worst ways possible.
Tumblr media
You are a broken fucking record, IAmAFanOfCartoons/CanonSeeker/Whatever else you want to be fucking called because people keep ousting you like the plague you are.
Tumblr media
All Syto did was edit out this.
Tumblr media
(well, and another similar shot)
And like clockwork, you're going on and on and on about how people who don't sing high praises about Bumblebee are the worst kinds of people imaginable, to the point where you're just repeating yourself over and over and over and over and over again.
This is why I'm christening you with a new nickname: FNDM-GPT. Because at this point, an anon message will just give you a prompt and you will spit out a canned response like a chatbot.
Keep this up and we'll likely be replacing RWBY fans with tech like you in the next 6-8 months.

anon ask about a friend going through depression
my friend's really distant nowadays. i can tell she's going through a depressive week, i even vaguely, jokingly asked her if she's feeling depressed and she did say yes. she didnt seem to want me to press further so i didnt. we met again yesterday at a friends house for dinner and she was on her phone, the whole time. and she wasn't doing ANYTHING on it. i mean she was mindlessly playing this wooden blocks game, then she would switch over to social media, and LOOK, just look, at her unread messages (which btw were atleast 15) and then back to the game. not that i was snooping, just observing her behavior.
she's my best friend and seeing her like this really hurts a lot. is there a way i could try to comfort her without seeming too annoying or intrusive? this has been going on for the past 6-7 days. when we met that day she kept repeated how much she hated people and how badly she wanted to go home. i felt helpless, how are u supposed to handle this situation? to be honest, it quite depressed me too, mainly because i've never seen her like this. i know she gets really down sometimes, but i've never //seen// her go through it. any suggestions on how to help?
The only thing you can do is ask her directly and let her know you are a part of her support system. "Hey, you haven't been yourself lately. Do you want to talk about it? I can offer my perspective or I can listen to you vent if you don't want advice."
But, I'll be honest, it really depends on if the person wants help and if they want help from you, specifically.
Everyone is different. Some people want to tell everyone and vent and let it all out. Some people want to deal with it on their own. Some people only want to speak to a select few. Usually it's because they think you wouldn't understand (key words: "they think" because even though you might understand, it's how they perceive the situation that takes precedence). A lot of people think saying anything is a burden to others. And some find the reactions of others to have a negative effect. For example, saying something like, "you have all these great qualities about you" might cause their thoughts to slingshot and suddenly they're fixated on finding faults in all those great qualities you just mentioned. Being positive can make things worse.
So it depends on how she feels she best deals with this mindset when she's in it.
You can ask if she would like you to check in with her mentally or how else you can best assist, even if it's not directly talking about what is bothering her. If the answer is, "please leave me alone", then do so. If she wants to talk about it, then listen. Do not offer advice unless she asks for it. Do not talk about yourself unless she wants to know if you have been through something similar. Do ask if she would like solution-based replies, if she wants to vent in a zero-judgement space, or whatever else she prefers.
And do not have this discussion unless you are ready for it. You might not be and that's okay. It's difficult to be objective and clear-headed when you want the best for someone. It could also bring up your own internal shit during the conversation. If you're feeling up to it, let her know you're available to talk and respect her wishes on how she wants to handle it.
Unfortunately, you can't help someone unless they want and are ready to be helped by you. Pressing too much can make it worse.
-
p.s. this is of course only my opinion and I'm not a qualified therapist / psychologist, just someone who has been in the dark place myself

:D !!!
"He's learning it's fun." <-as a fan who has to watch the series that is a TERRIFYING way of thinking about it. Btw. But yes I can vouch for the fact that it is very very fun to hurt/kill characters sometimes. The whump subgenre of fanfic exists for a reason (man you have no idea the kind of shit I wanna do to Dagger ehehehehe). Killing off people's character is definitely scary tho. I was actually a little worried about how the players would react but they seemed to take it in good fun so! No hard feelings! Calango getting up and punching his chair just about sums up the overall feeling, yeah.
Yeah Liz had more control in that situation, she took a risk and yes she paid for it, but she had agency. Arthur was entirely helpless. He was scared and tried to fight and immediately got killed for it. "Humanly horrifying" is the perfect way to describe it, I think. Like, getting consumed by a flesh monster (Daniel) and being eaten alive by head-sized spiders (Christopher) are horrific ways to die, but being beaten to death by your "father" is uh. Eyeah. A very personal, real kind of horror that we don't actually see too often in this series. I suppose that's why it's so impactful and won't stop rotating in my brain.
Joui and Arthur should Not be okay lmfao. But, suspension of disbelief. We're here for the mysteries and horrors and combat and worldbuilding and the relationships between the characters, not necessarily the medical realism.
Ohhhhh I didn't even pick up on the fact that this was done so that Rakin wouldn't be left out of too much Plot/Lore stuff. This is one hell of a "filler" episode, I'll give it that.
Yeah the,,,, magic disability cure. I avoided commenting on it bc I don't have a disability nor do I believe myself to be educated/experienced enough on it to form an opinion in that respect, but I can definitely comment on the loss of character building and themes and symbolism and all that. (I certainly skated around explicitly using the word fhjdks.) And yeah, trust me, when Thiago got his hearing healed, my first thought was---well all of what I said earlier, but then my second thought was "ohhhh this town is fucked fucked, isn't it?" Like that is way too good to be true. I wouldn't touch this place with a 12 foot pole no sir.
(Idk if you saw it but I made a post after I watched ep 9 kinda talking about it more. I've already covered a lot of what I said there but the post does indeed exist. I was trying to be more optimistic and /silly than critical and /neg while writing it, so for that reason some of my points are a little muddled and I tend to mince my words. However, it more or less goes over my first impressions.)
LMAOOO CELLBIT IS STRAIGHT UP SLAUGHTERING THE "COSMIC" RULES OF THEIR WORLD SO HE CAN SUBJECT THEM TO MORE HORRORS LATER. GOOD TO KNOW. No but that's actually so interesting. I'm actually kind of glad that I'm mostly unaware of the mechanics he's butchering because I feel like if I did know, I might be tearing my hair out all the time lmfao. What you've told me about the original system is really fascinating tho!! Clearly whatever rulebook he's using is just a base for his RPG, and it shows in how busted the healing is in this series. Taking a wildly uneducated guess here, but I'm assuming that the story would be incredibly different if he stuck more precisely to the rulebooks. To be fair, the fights are very fun. Love watching them shoot the horrors they should do it more often(<-have nearly died in combat 547839 times now.)
Understandable!! Life is Life-ing, good luck out there o7. Also oh god spoiler landmine. And yeah, ao3 tagging 0(-( Also it reminds me of when all Minecraft and Minecarft SMP and MCYT fics were alllllll stuck under the fandom tag "Minecraft" on ao3. I think some of my older DSMP fics are still tagged simply "Minecraft" for that reason. We're spoiled nowadays with our "QSMP | Quackity SMP" and "Hermitcraft SMP" I tell you. Also that's so fucking funny to me: "Oh wow I sure do love osnf I'm gonna go on youtube to see if there's any animatics or analysis videos in English oh what's this 'All Ordem Paranormal Deaths Ranked' whOAH WAIT NO---" ((IN THE THUMBNAIL?? BROOO WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT, THAT'S FOUL LMAO))
(I think I read the nonsense fluff for ep 8? The one about Arthur and Ceasar cooking? If it's not that it's probably in my "to read" tag or I'll go grab it from your blog/ao3. I'll go check rn. Thanks for the food and gl with doing things this week!! <3)
finished ep 10 of osnf (long post under the cut oh lord)
crying sobbing kicking over chairs screaming CELLBIT IS AN EVIL EVIL MAN WHY WOULD HE DO THAT. FOR WHAT REASON. POR CUAL RAZÓN. LO ODIO. <-said with the utmost adoration and respect of a writer but the fury of a fan who just had to endure all of that my hearttttt 0(-(
god fuck i have thoughts and feelings regarding episode 10 of osnf. obviously. i don't even know how to start.
okay. first of all the way that he was able to orchestrate the like 57839 different POVs of the nightmare happening at the same time was actually pretty smooth, all things considered. being able to forcibly mute/deafen the others is a good thing to be able to do yesyes.
second, im losing my mind over how he hides the fact that "it's all a dream" WITHIN the "it's all a dream" trope by having the creatures be manifestations of dreams/guilt in "reality" themselves. idk if i'm making any sense, but like, you get it, right? like, it's the fact that we thought we had already discovered the dream-based deceit in the segment because of what the "Hotelier" told Joui at the start of it, but it turns out that THAT was a red-herring of sorts for the TRUE dream-based deceit, that EVERYTHING was a dream, not just the creatures. god there are fucking layers to this im foaming at the mouth that's soooo good.
i guess that's what makes the "it's all a dream"-style trope present here feel less cliche. because, you know, it is a trope, and it's not really a trope that i'm fond of, but because there's actually more going on, it feels less cheap. what certainly helps is that the fact that it's roleplay, so the reactions from the characters are so much more raw, and there are some irl stakes (character dead = out of the series = can't play anymore). that definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat.
edit: something i forgot to mention—what i dislike abt the “it’s all a dream” trope the most is that it is very easily something that can be so, so cheap. all angst, no stakes or consequences, no lasting impact on the plot on the characters. however, not only is there a “physical” impact via several characters losing SHITLOADS of sanity (something not easily recovered) but we get to see a little more into the psyche of the characters. which i suppose is often the point of the “it’s all a dream” segments, but this dream—one with a lot of references to past major character death and itself contains major character death—rings especially true for the themes of the series: the world they live in is dangerous, and the work they do is lethal. people have and will die. and they do and will feel guilty, reguardless if they are at fault. it’s not a horrifying death dream just for the sake of being a death dream, it feels grounded in their reality, and i love that.
third, man he did not hold back. when Arthur was being beaten to a pulp by not!Brúlio, i was actually in shock, i was screaming. plus, i think the fact that Cellbit rolled a 001 when not!Brúlio attacked actually helped to hide the fact that this was a dream. it made it look like it was bad luck rather than the segment was designed to kill the characters (well, at least until he revealed that the damage was 1d4+1d6, but i'll get to that later).
gosh the narration of how not!Brúlio killed Arthur. holy shit. i don't. i don't even have words, that is DEVASTATING. that is probably one of the worst ways for a person to go. i know it's a dream but if i were Arthur i would be emotionally fucked up beyond belief. beaten to a bloody pulp by the father who once loved you so much, screaming at you for abandoning him and that it's your fault he died a horrible death. and then he drops your body on the ground like you're nothing but a pile of useless meat. god. damn.
and then Liz. ohhhh Liz. i just. i was devastated. her whole struggle with Alex, the man she treated so horribly. yes it's true the real Alex never would have said these things to you, but how do you know he wasn't thinking it? that he didn't want to? that what not!Alex says doesn't hold some truth? christttt. and of course the way she dies: in complete agony. and did she forgive herself? because, unlike with not!Brúlio, the creature turned into that weird wispy black thing just as she died, and i would assume that means she forgave herself (if those rules even apply considering this was all a result of the parasite's deceit (holy hell my brain is melting i am the man with the hand on the conspiracy board)).
fourth: the 1d4+1d6 thing! when he read that out, i was stunned. that is a LOT of damage considering all of the characters have ~10 HP. with an extreme roll, that's basically an insta-kill, or it's easily a two-hit-kill. i thought Arthur was unlucky, but when Liz also went down, i was---well, devastated, at first, because that's Liz, she's my absolute favorite and i love her, but i started going through all five stages of grief at once, and at some point i arrived at "no that can't be right" because Cellbit is a good writer. and to deliberately construct a scenario where it would be VERY hard for a character to survive while still in the middle of the story? yeah. and yknow the fact that there's still 6 other episodes fhdsjk. (then again the series continues regardless if a character dies and i haven't looked at other episodes' thumbnails or anything like that for this exact reason. so. i was going in as blind as i could reasonably be.)
in any case, realizing and connecting all of this and then hearing the "Hotelier" start yelling at Joui right after Liz died explicitly blaming him for it sealed it for me: this is a trick of some sort. this is a dream sequence of some sort. these aren't real deaths. (a smaller part of me was still scared that they were real because i know that Cellbit does not shy away from killing off his players' characters, if op and opq are anything to go by. but i digress.)
and then the characters turned to black goo. and i just about threw my computer. rip Luba who got absolutely targeted by the GM lmfao.
anyway uhhh that's about it regarding the dream sequence! loving luzidius!joui and how he just keeps switching back and forth. ((and it further supports my little side-theory that the mysterious blond woman last seen with Team Kelvin was a luzidious we win these.)) i was surprised to see Liz thinking it was so cool when she's been so suspicious of everything in Santo Berco since she got here, but i think she could definitely be using it as a distraction from what she just went through, and honestly she's just happy to see Joui is okay. (the way she gave on up words and just hugged him, the way she held his face in her hands, the way she dragged him down the hall to show Thiago and Thiago was just telling her to fuck off (/aff) because he was getting dressed, my heartttt i love these three, mentor-mentee dynamics my fucking beloved)
also new outfits! sweet! istg the new outfits are so Cellbit's way of apologizing for putting his friends through that. "hey sorry i killed your character in the most emotionally devastating way possible it will happen again wOAH LOOK AT THESE NEW CLOTHES AREN'T THEY SO COOL YOU SHOULD TRY THEM ON!!!"
i've been having mixed feelings about the sudden setting/genre change since the group arrived in Santo Berco. i really, really loved the urban horror-fantasy vibe that they had going on in op and the first 8 eps of osnf, but evidently, this is good as well. the genre is most definitely still horror yippee. i definitely miss the urban-modern setting, but i think i can get adjusted to this. (i'm just,,, not the biggest fan of the auto-heal crystals im sorry i had to say it they feel too op i know their use is limited to visiting the doctor but knowing they exist lowers the in-world stakes for me im sorry---)
anyway, ep 10! you beautiful monster! i have been typing for an hour! i need to go eat food! k bye!
