i wish i had a good explanation for why jules doesnt have an irish name despite being from like 1600s ireland (or whatever the equivalent is in lor) but the reality is his name came first bc he was originally my bloodborne character & all the backstory stuff came later but i also didnt want to change it bc i like how it sounds
i guess the easiest explanation would be that after several hundred years he got tired of having to tell people how to spell/pronounce his name bc the language wasnt as common as it used to be so he just started using a different one... or maybe he just wanted something that didnt stand out so much for the sake of avoiding unwanted attention... but idk if ill stick with either of those

i was gonna put this on a reblog to this post but i decided it needed to be its own post so here we go
Tumblr media
LOOK AT HIM!!!
most other trainers will be super badass or cool whenever theyre terastallizing their pokemon. but kieran just kinda stands there devoid of life. he looks like hes not even there. almost like he's just... dissociating through the whole thing
you can also see eyebags that his teal mask model didn't have. he's been working himself to the absolute bone to get stronger. another character (i forget who) even says hes been sacrificing sleep just to get stronger. its very obviously been taking a toll on him
but looking back on the battle as a whole, this wasnt even the only time where he looked dull and lifeless. for the entire battle, when hes not being dramatic on purpose, he just looks so out of it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you cant look at these pictures and tell me hes mentally present. the left picture isnt even timed to make him look like that. his expression is like that the entire time hes giving that line of dialogue.
and again, you can see visible eyebags!!!
i think part of it is that hes imagined the battle against the protagonist so many times since getting back from kitakami that it's feels like it's already happened to him, and he's just reliving a memory.
maybe another part is since hes gotten back, hes just been battling non stop when he has the chance. to him its just another battle. initiate, defeat, get stronger. rinse and repeat. its so repetitive that half the time he doesnt even know who hes battling. i feel like thats the case here, maybe sometimes he forgets hes even battling the person that he became this strong to defeat in the first place
i think why he did this to himself is because of more than "just getting stronger". after everything that happened in kitakami: gaining a friend, only for them to lie to and betray him about the thing he loves most, then for them to get closer with his sister, who would consistently shut him down, then on top of it all, ogerpon chose us, and even in trying to battle us for her, we beat him.
that is a lot to have happen to you in just a couple days, so i think part of the non stop training is him trying to cope. in trying to make up for "being too weak", hes also trying to escape reality and forget that those things even happened. he looks so out of it for the entire battle because he is. thats why he has such a reaction when we use ogerpon against him in battle. because by doing that, were reminding him
this is all part of why he freaks out so hard when we beat him. aside from his whole complex of getting stronger specifically to beat us, its because hes already imagined beating us so many times that to him, it already kinda happened in his sleep deprived mind. its because hes won battle after battle since getting back from kitakami, so after being in this rinse and repeat cycle of battling and winning, us losing causes him to finally snap out of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
after the protag wins, hes genuinely confused that he lost. but he knew how strong the protag was going into this. i think its because, for the majority of the battle, due to not being mentally present, he forgot he was battling us.
this, as well as how often he wouldve imagined him beating us, explains very well how surprised and shocked and panicked he is that he lost. "this wasnt supposed to happen" because it was just another battle, and he wins battles. "this wasnt supposed to happen" because he already imagined him beating us so many times that it had to have been real, right?
and because this monotonous cycle he was in that was actively draining him of energy was broken by us beating him, everything that he hadnt had the energy to process since training is hitting him like a truck now. ogerpon, the betrayal, how he kept losing to us, how he just lost to us right this moment, its all too much and he cant handle it. and so he crumples to the ground and has a mental breakdown
i didnt mean to turn this into a whole character analysis on kieran but i have a LOT of thoughts on his character and how hes written

Soulmate marathon part 1
You share your soulmates knowledge
Character: Eyeless Jack
Tumblr media
At this point, you knew your soulmate was in the medical field or at least going to school for it. All the things he knows about the human body, how to cut, sew, implant. He had to be getting along in school just fine.
With your soulmate being so far along in school and knowing as much as he did, he was dedicated to the craft and was likely on track to become a surgeon if not a nurse.
That was.... before the knowledge that popped into your brain every day turned a bit darker. It worried you. Yeah, he was obviously in medical school, or maybe he’s graduated and working as a nurse... but the things you know about how certain organs taste.... raw....well, it left little wonder as to why you had stopped eating red meat.
You fear your soulmate to be an angel of death or something of the sort. A kind nurse that says they’ll do everything they can to help only to come in the night and give an overdose of painkillers to a patient that didnt even need them. But that wouldnt explain the blantant canibalism.
Of course medical knowledge also somehow gave way to deeper and deeper occult knowledge. Things you honestly couldnt understand yourself, but your soulmate seemingly could without a problem. Knowledge of things that werent human. Some that used to be human, others that never were and never will be.
All this led to some rather interesting research on your side. Research of the creatures that he seemingly knew. Research that narrowed your search down to a region of states that would be smart to avoid.... but youre his soulmate. He wouldnt hurt you, right? Not on purpose hopefully. Besides, it seemed you were already living in the region that would be prime for running into him.
Of course, you knew he was also aware of your findings. He knows youre doing research. Trying to find him. He was probably doing the same, hopefully not to do anything malicious... of course as his soulmate you trusted him not to hurt you, but going into this as blind as you were, you trusted nothing but yourself and what you knew. No matter how much you wanted to trust him blindly.
All your research eventually leads you to believe that he could be in two different kinds of places. An abandoned building or the woods. Abandoned buildings were suprisingly few and far between from what you could find, your searches on those having come up mostly fruitless with the few that had potential coming up empty or seemingly taken up by squaters that you had no desire to speak to directly, in fear of a fight.
That left you with the woods. It had been a last resort kind of thing for you as the woods were ridiculously well known for being the worst place a person could go, no matter the time of day. Locals would avoid going too deep. The walking trails never being strayed from as the last group of wild teens that had attempted to do so on a dare had disappeared. Searches yeilded nothing, and those had been tedious as even authorites were on edge to go too deep into the trees.
Rumors of monsters, demons, killers and ghosts... it was almost positively the place he would be. You had just hoped you wouldnt end up having to go in.
Which is why you sit on a park bench, eyes on the treeline as you contemplate your choices. You could walk for a bit, but it still isnt guaranteed that you would be okay. Only groups ever turned out okay, and the less people in the group the lower the success rate of coming back it seemed, so your measly party of one wouldnt make the cut if your luck was still the same.
Not to mention the fog seemingly pouring out of the trees had your hair standing on end with a deep emptiness in your gut. Whatever controlled that forest didnt want you in it, that much was very clear, and you were more than happy to listen to it. Having done the math, you only had another hour or two of sunlight, the sun setting earlier around this time of year and night lasting longer. Just fine by you, but not the best time to get lost in the woods and murdered by a monster.
You were too wrapped up in your thoughts to notice as a man approched your bench. Taking a seat on the opposite end so that there was still as much space as possible, but making it very clear that he sat next to you on purpose. Your gaze snaps from the trees to him, sizing him up and taking him in.
He was big, very big. You dont see a lot of people that tall, regardless of gender, seven feet being pretty ridiculous given what you’d grown up around. Needless to say, from his height alone, you wouldnt be able to take him. His face was obscured by a hood over his head, dark ginger hair peeking out from under the blue fabric. He sat hunched, keeping his head tilted slightly away from you, he spoke before you could.
“What are you here for?”
The question simple, your answer was too. That doesnt mean you knew how to make it simple, especially since you were almost positive you were currently talking to a serial killer.
“Lots of research led me here. Couldnt have found it without my soulmate though... hey, you wouldnt happen to know any organ eating medical nerds would you?”
With his silence you assume you had said the wrong thing, sealing your fate as the next victim of the woods regardless of the fact that you hadnt even step foot in it yet, only to find that he had tilted his head in your direction. Blue mask peaking out from under his hood, you knew for a fact that you are facing a horror from the trees.
“I do happen to know one, but before that topic can go much further I’m gonna have to ask just exactly how you feel about that.”
His words seemingly chosen carefully. This was your test, all you had to do was not fail it seemed. What the right answers were though, well you suppose you’d just have to be honest.
“Well.... I was pretty scared at first. I thought he was just going to be a medical student. Be a doctor some day... but then the cult stuff happened. He started to know things about demons and monsters and he knew what raw organs tasted like... I was scared... but I decided that I could try. He’s my soulmate, so the least I could do was try. Find him. Figure him out. Give him a chance. Maybe it could be explained away, but I knew that wasnt very likely, just a stupid thought from the kinder side of my brain. Ive known for some time that my soulmate was a killer, to some extent, and now I just want to try. For us.”
You looked over at him after you finished rambling. He appeared unmoved by your words. Having not said a thing or even adjusted himself in his seat, still as a statue. Appearing to contemplate your words, he finally sighs before standing to his full height. Staring down at you from behind his mask where it appeared his eyes were black pits of darkness.
“Well then, soulmate, I guess my chance starts now. If youre still willing, that is.”

Izuku Midoriya X Fem! Reader
Summary: Who knew having to work on a Saturday could make your pouty boyfriend turn to petty revenge?
WARNINGS!: Short mention of masturbation. Teehee.
Category: Smut / Crack?
Word Count: 1.7k
A/N: A weird short fic I came up with at midnight because I was bored.
Just To Clarify:
Reader and Izuku have been dating for a long while
They do not live together
Izuku is precious but also a little shit.
Of course.
This type of shit always seemed to happen to him.
It had been nearly a month now since he had a weekend off, a weekend to spend time with you, his lovely girlfriend.
Now that he finally had that time off, of course your asshole of a boss had to ruin the lovely date he had been planning to surprise you with by calling you in to write up a stupid ass report that could have definitely waited until Monday.
It really grinded his fucking gears.
Het whined and tried to beg you to stay home early this morning when you called him and told him of this sudden development.
If only you lived together, or if only you had spent the night at his apartment… maybe he could have convinced you to tell your boss off. He was blessed with a skillful tongue after all, one capable of bringing you wave after wave of pleasure as he made himself at home between your glorious thighs.
He sighed heavily, getting up from off his bed where he laid brooding just to go out and collapse back onto his couch.
He could use some of that sunlight pouring in from the large windows.
His room was dark, curtains drawn as if to hide from the world so he could be all pouty by himself.
But it was noon now, and he needed to come out eventually.
On the brighter side of things, he got to catch up on a bit of lost sleep.
That wasn’t enough.
Actually? Fuck sleep.
He’d rather be out on your date he planned with you.
Gah!
Sure, he had tomorrow to spend with you, but who wants to do anything on a Sunday?
Lazy Sunday!
The day reserved for people to relax and.. and be lazy!
A day to cuddle.
A day to use his girlfriends’ boobs as a pillow.
One he’d much rather be using now than the stiff one currently under his head.
He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, just so that he could stare blankly up at the ceiling fan idly spinning in a circle.
His thoughts drifted to you again.
He wondered what you were doing.
Was it lunch break time for you yet?
No.. you had lunch around 11.
Damn. Maybe he could’ve visited you…
He groaned, flinging himself off the couch, dragging his mismatched sock covered feet over to the kitchen so he could begrudgingly make himself some coffee.
He propped his elbows on the counter, leaning his body down just so he could watch in childish wonder as the tan liquid rained down in a heavy stream from the Tassimo coffee machine he had recently purchased.
Coffee was never really his thing as a kid, but as the stress of his late teen years consumed his exhausted body, he quickly found that coffee could be an amazing friend.
Thus started his addiction, fueled on by his friends, mother, and hell - even you.
Something about.. ‘Joining the ranks of eternal, bitter madness.’
Whatever the fuck that meant.
You’re a goofy shit, he can’t tell what half the crap you say means anyway.
That’s why he loved you, though.
Always kept on his tiptoes.
He could always read people so easily, predict their moves almost to a T, but you? Damn if he wasn’t left with questions every time you met up.
You could say, in a way, you were like coffee.
Something he didn’t know he needed until it hit him in the face and caused him to fall down three flights of stairs.
He smiled to himself as he sipped at his steaming hot cup o’ joe.
That day was painful, but in the long run - he sure was glad it happened. Even if he did have a first degree burn from the boiling hot coffee you spilled on him.
Yeah. That meeting wasn’t exactly dreamish like how most couples described how they met.
Then again, his best friend did meet the love of his life on Grindr, so who knows?
Couples just like to sugar coat things in order to look good in front of others.
Him? No. He didn’t sugar coat anything. How you met was funny, and it always brought a smile to people’s faces.
It even made his mom pass out from laughing so hard.
Absolutely mad.
You brought a good crazy to his life.
That’s why he needed you.
Especially now.
He was lonely, and all this reminiscing just made him miss you even more.
With the buzz of caffeine coursing through his body, he felt more energized than before.
He wanted to text you.
Surely he could, right?
But what about?
He pulled at his bottom lip, eyebrows furrowed as he paced around his silent apartment, deep in thought about ways to suddenly ‘slide into your dms.’
.
..
He stopped, a sinister smirk creeping onto his angelic face.
oh , he certainly knew how to catch your attention.
He didn’t waste a second of his time, teeth chewing at his lip as he made his way back into the bedroom, turning on his red lava lamp to envelop his dark room in that sinful glow you loved so much.
He stripped himself of his shirt as he sat down on his bed, hand coming up to style his curly green hair in a way he knew you liked from all those seductive stares you’d give him.
This was all about you.
Well, him too he supposed, but honestly? He wanted to give you a peek at what could’ve been if only you stayed home.
No doubt you’d find him cruel, perhaps respond with hostility, but he craved it.
He loved teasing you.
And getting a bit of petty revenge.
Besides, this was your fault, after all. None of this would have been unlocked if you hadnt given him a major boost in confidence with every kiss against his skin, every praise, every longing stare.
You should have known what you had gotten yourself into.
He let his ‘innocent’ thoughts drift to the dirtier side of his mind, trailing a hand down his toned stomach just to palm his already half-hard self through his boxers. What could he say? He got worked up quite easily when it came to his princess.
For a guy publically labeled ‘The Epitome Of Purity,’ his thoughts surely would prove everyone who thought that wrong with just how explicit they were.
Images of you flashed through his mind, your face so cute and angelic as his cock fucked your throat raw.
Boy, did he wish you were here, doing just that instead of his hand that had just now wrapped around himself.
He indulged for a moment, getting lost in the sweet pleasure his experienced hand brought to him, spare arm flung over his eyes as he moaned breathlessly into the quiet air.
After a few more pumps mixed with thrusts of his easily excited hips, his hand was coated in the precum he always seemed to make too much off.
He groaned in frustration as he realized he’d have to perform his next task with his left hand, he could only hope it’d turn out well and not a shaky mess as it has been before.
He grabbed his phone conveniently left on his bedside table, thumbprint quickly unlocking it.
He entered the camera app, tapping on the camera switch tool so that his face was shown on the screen.
Oh.
Hm.
Perfection.
He looked impatient, desperate like he was having a good time and couldn’t wait for you to join in the fun. He knew full well you couldn’t, you wouldn’t get off from work for another four hours - that’s where the revenge came into play. You’d sit there in your office cubicle, knowing damn well by the time you got to him he would have already finished and started dinner. His cheeks were a pretty rouge, pupils blown wide.
Moving the camera back, he fought for the perfect angle, wanting this picture - and maybe a few more after, to be absolutely perfect.
The red glow of the lamp showered his body in a lewd light, sweat glimmering even on the screen.
He made sure his fully hard and throbbing cock dripping with pre-cum was in the picture, having to sacrifice the top half of his head in order to fit it in.
His hairstyling went to waste for this one picture, but he’d be sure to include it in others.
His pecs were covered in faded marks you had left on him from nights ago, nipples perky and wanting some rough attention.
He gave a lopsided grin, the only part of his face that was in the picture was his mouth, and he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to use it to make your blood boil.
He snapped the picture, and a few more in different poses for later use.
The end result? A new private photo album labeled ‘Pictures To Send To (Y/N) To Get Her Panties In A Twist.’
God, he’s an ass when he wants to be.
With a dark, twisted look in his eyes and a creepy smile on his freckled face, he sent the photo to you, body shivering in anticipation. His thumb hovered over the send button, ready to send a reply to his photo once he saw that you read it.
Meanwhile, you had just finished typing up a long report when your phone buzzed with a message.
Hope surged in your chest, praying it was your cutsie boyfriend Izuku.
You hadn’t heard from him since 6AM when you called to deliver the disappointing news, and you had assumed he either went back to sleep or decided to work out till he passed out.
You really hoped it was the first option.
Maybe you could ask?
With a sigh of triumph, you emailed the report to your boss, fishing your phone from the far side of your desk where you had left it after lunch.
Ah!
It was Izuku~
You hummed in confusion when you noticed it wasn’t a message, but instead - an image?
Lips pursed, you swiftly unlocked your phone and opened the messenger app.
You nearly squealed when you saw the image - the embodiment of lewd and lust.
Fuck.
Your face was burning red, hair no doubt frizzing up as your face contorted into embarrassment and anger.
Suddenly, a reply popped up - one that made you fidget in your seat as a familiar wet heat started to pool between your thighs.
“If only you stayed home, huh?”
Oh, he was so going to get his ass beat once you got off work.

Life After Snowpiercer: Still Alive
Summery- Curtis (hints of You) makes his way through the cars, and reaches the end to find a surprise waiting for him. Violence.
If you want to read the story Curtis told Nam, read it here- Past Horrors
Word Count- 2967
Chapter 3 / Masterlist
Tumblr media
“OPEN IT, OPEN THE FUCKING GATE!”
Curtis stood at the final gate, the final mother fucking gate, his palms slapping at it, his boots ramming into it, and his rage, all that rage from the past 17 years, and more recently the two days it took him to fight his way here, so many lives, gone. His revolution had become a blood bath, Gilliam executed, Grey stabbed, Tonya shot, You… well he couldnt even let himself go there, not yet. Edgar, well fuck Edgar he betrayed, having left him laying among the rest, setting out right after the battle of the tunnel, leaving the majority of people behind to care for the dead and wounded. There was no time to stall.
Hours before in horror he watched the front enders slaughter his people in the television screen, among a car full of children singing praises to the almighty Wilford, the saviour. The armed men entered the gate and were lost from sight. Curtis just felt that all of you were gunned down without a care. No…. He almost broke right then and there, he could see them entering the last car, the one where he supposedly had you kept safe. His breathing picked up, his chest tightened and black stars swarmed in his vision. Then the tv crackled the noises of gunshots and flares of white could be seen coming out of the darkest gateway, all of it so grainy on the screen, but it was picture clear for him. No bodies could be seen, but the way his whole being just shattered into a million biting glass edges, slicing unseen wounds through his mind, he lost you, he couldnt keep you safe after all. Tonya smacked his face. “Curtis snap out of it, you have to lead us”
How can I? Shes gone, they shot her. His mind pieced together an image of your body crumbled in the middle of the aisle, bright red blossoming around you like a opening flower across your back, your hand outreaching for the darkness that might have hid you. Your eyes, the ones hes seen laughing, crying and loving, glassed over sightless, that part that was a persons soul, the spark that brought them life in there eyes, gone. Gone, could it really be? Curtis, she was doomed the day she chose you, and you kept her anyways. Monster. You killed her.
Suddenly Tonya came into his vision again, and beyond her, Minister Mason crumbled on her knees, her rat like face, with those beady eyes and oversized false teeth saying his name “Curtis, I can help you!” The heavy weight of the gun in his palm had a purpose, and it felt FUCKING GOOD just then. Without even a moment in between her words and him registering what the fuck she was pleading for, he marched over and right to her forehead the muzzle settled, her eyes rolling up to look at it in fear, the yellowish whites of her eyes brimming with tears, pupils focused on the muzzle indenting against her forehead. “Curtis pleeease, I beg you!”
His expression, was that of a man who no longer gave a shit what happened to him, his finger squeezed and that bullet, with a little satisfaction for him, drilled through her brain, a splatter of red grazing the entire area. A wipe of his hand across his face, he turned back towards the gate, Nam already working on it. Switching to a new cartridge, he told those still remaining. “We go forward” And just as he came to the gate, Nam got it to swing open, and now this man became the darkest part of himself he could possibly be, the compassion he would show his fellow kind was simply gone. There was no hestitation in his actions. If anyone crossed his path, they were met with cold killing rage.
Now at the final gate, that god damn signature W holding him back from Wilford. Nam tried to stall Curtis, refusing to open that final one for reasons Curtis couldnt understand. His daughter Yona, moaned on a pile of coats, drugged and drunk beyond rational thought, the child was a pitiful sight indeed. “Open the gate Nam, now. Is this what you want?” Curtis emptied his pockets of the kronoles, flinging them at the ex security intel “Take it! Open the fucking gate now!”
In a moment of weariness, Curtis stumbled to the floor, leaning back against the frame work staring at the door. Nam took some pity on the man and tossed him a smoke “Fucker better enjoy it, its the last one.” What the hell, Curtis thought, and he lit it, taking a stale drag of nicotine he hadnt experienced since he was 16 at a party. Finally he started talking, telling Nam all about how the beginning of his life on the train went. Inside his mind though, was a totally different conversation, his way of saying goodbye he supposed although numb at this point to everything, he could still sense the pain it was causing, vibrating in waves from him.
Tumblr media
“Hey handsome” Your hands would slide up his chest and circle around his neck. “Almost at the end of the line”
“Appears so Baby” Another drag of smoke escaping from him.
“I guess were lucky we got this far right? I knew you would Curtis” Plucking his smoke from his lips and taking an inhale, washing the two of you in a billowing nicotine haze.
“Leave it to you babygirl to find the bright side here.” He chuckled, seeing you now rise to the balls of your feet to kiss him, hell even imaginary your kisses could score a fire to settle in him. How he wished it was real. That you were here, fuck he missed you it was an ache in his chest.”I dont think Im going to be returning… “ His voice drifted off softly.
“Oh handsome, you know I will find you again, another lifetime. You dont think this is truly the end of us?”
“No? it seems like it”
“Handsome, this is just one of many. I love you and we will see each other again. Now go do what you came to do.” you winked and returned the camel between his lips. Stepping away and leaving him alone once more.
Curtis lifted his gaze, asking one last final time. “Open the gate, please” Nam again shook his head, going off in how they MIGHT survive outside of the train, that the snow was melting, there was no need to stay.
“What are you fucking nuts? go out there and freeze. Leave all these people here, no. Open the GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKING DOOR”
Then like the gate just knew, it clicked open and a flash of yellow stepped out, Nam shot backwards and in Claudes hand was a pistol. Composed as ever, she looked at Curtis. “Wilford will see you now.”
He simply spared a glance at Nam, whom Yona was wailing and shaking to bring back to her, and he pushed up, and into the room, all cold steel metal and blue glows, along one wall was a kitchen gallery, all dark masculine looking wood work and at the table in the car, sat an older man with intense blue eyes, staring at Curtis while frying his steak, smirking. “Curtis! Lets take a look at you.” Wilford almost sounded joyful, impressed? “You did a mans work coming all the way up here, did you know its been years since anyones walked the entire length of this train. How about you sit down, lets chat.” Claude nudged him towards the seat. With contempt he obliged, sitting down. “Would you believe Ive never been to the tail section?”
Curtis spat out “why the hell not, we to dirty for you in the tail section?”
“You think the engine isnt without its own complications Curtis?” Wilford turned from frying his steak for half a second, fixing Curtis with a look of disappointment. “It gets awful noisy up here, and not many to talk to.”
Who the fuck does he think he is? Noisy? Trying living with a thousand people in a iron box. “Right, you got steaks, room, and that whore will bring you whatever you want.”
“Curtis, everyone has there preordained position. And everyone is in there place…” Pointing at him with the greasy spatula, the steak starting to smoke and sizzle on the stove top. “Except you.” Turning back he flipped the steaks on a plate.
“Yea, thats what people with the best place say to those in the worst place. There is not one soul who wouldnt willingly trade places with you.” Damn straight Baby, your voice encouraged him.
“Would you?” Wilford questioned, seasoning his steak, how in the hell do seasons still exist? Perhaps you werent always the best voice of reasoning.
“Fuck you” Curtis spat at him with hatred and disgust.
Wilford sighed, as if exasperated with him. “Curtis, were all stuck on this train, and its a enclosed ecosystem with a fragile balance. Med rare?” Breaking his line of thought, Curtis ignored the question entirely, which Wilford paid no heed to. “population must be kept in balance, everything rigidly maintained. Now there are times… we have to take more drastic measures.” Wilford brought the steaks over, setting one perfectly cooked one in front of Curtis. “we simply dont have time to let natural selection take over, we all would be overcrowded on this train, starving. Remember starving Curtis? It took us a while to get the protein blocks going. I am truly sorry about that.” Wilford cut a bite of his steak and chewed between the rest of his words. “So we occasionally stir the pot to speak. Get things moving… The cast out of the seven, The McGregor Riots, and this one… My new favorite. The Great Curtis Revolution. Nice ring to it, right? The kids will love it” He winked one icy blue eye at Curtis as if it was a big joke between them. “I mean who was to expect you to come through with torches through the  Yekaterina tunnel? Pure genius, nothing like Gilliam or I expected”
Curtis snapped his head a bit and confusion clouded his face He didnt just say that. “What?”
“Now come on, dont tell me you didnt know, Gilliam and I?” Giving an amused chuckle at Curtis confusion. “Front end and Tail end, we work together Curtis, he was more then a partner, he was my friend.”
“Bullshit, I dont believe you” Curtis stated, there was no way Gilliam was friends with Wilford, the hours the two of them had spent together discussing how to get here.
A grin crossed Wilfords face “well our plan was that the rebellion was to end at the tunnel. Kill off most of you, send the rest back. Curtis, why do you think Gilliam conditioned you to be the leader after McGregor? Sadly, it was supposed to be your hurrah. Your going out like in that old movie…. Braveheart? Going out in a fight. Your name was to give the remaining tail enders hope. So Gilliam gave you everything you could want back there. No one messed with you, got to keep the pretty girl, no one shamed you for keeping both your hands. Wasnt it nice, be able to hold her with both.” Dont you dare listen to him baby, we chose each other, Your voice echoed and stressed.  A sickness washed over Curtis as these words, Wilford seemed none the wiser over what his words were doing, or he simply didnt care. “Gilliam said you were smart, but he could control you. Sadly he didnt.” Wilford wiped his mouth and tossed the napkin down, not even eating half the steak. “And why he had to pay the price. Im going to miss my friend, our long nightly chats.”
Still in disbelief over the news, Gilliam had been a mentor to him, a father when he needed advice. All those years, and he just fueled Curtis rage for this moment. No one knew that the traitorous snake was the man they all pledged there allegiance to.
“But your little stunt, well it took out more of the front end then I had hoped, but what fun, right? Its okay, you tail enders throw off brats pretty quickly, we will recover. Theres really just one last thing to do.” Picking up a phone, he pressed a button and waited for an answer. “How many you got left back there?” He listened and looked at Claude “We still at 75 percent?” she gave a nod and he returned to whomever was on the phone “Kill off 75 percent…. actually you know what? In celebration of our 18th year, keep 18 extra alive. Thank you”
Before he hung up, the barely there sound of gunfire blasted from the phone, and Curtis sprang to his feet. “YOU SON OF A BITCH!” Claude gave off one warning shot, which ricochet the bullet around the room, causing them all to duck momentarily. “God damn it Claude! Mind the engine.” Turning to Curtis who was straightening himself out and at this point ready to get this fucken over with. “God damn high strung woman, cant do nothing with them when they get to that point.” Wilford muttered to himself, going up the steps to check on the cylinders circling. Curtis followed him up, preparing to end this now. Wilford pulling out his own pistol from his robes, he cocked it at Curtis.”Mind your next move son. I got a proposition for ya, you might want to consider.”
Curtis merely paused cause of the gun pointing at his chest, basic human instinct still riding out his anger. Clenching his jaw, the twitch ticking in tandem, Wilford motioned him forward. “Listen, I like you, you got spunk, You get the job done. I already have a predecessor, but I need someone who can take over Minister Masons place since you disposed of her. About time someone did, I couldnt stand that woman. At the time, she was my finest choice though. You carry out what I need done, I know you have it in you.” Sliding the gun back into his robe when it seemed Curtis was no longer about to attack him. “Once in a while you dispose of some unnecessary lives we no longer have use for, do some intimidation to out of control groups. I will let you stay up front, even bring your girl up here.”
“Shes still alive?” Curtis croaked, the haze of your name clouding his senses, could it be true, was there actually hope?
“What? Of course shes still alive Curtis. First shes a woman, I wouldnt have my men kill off any women her age unless she was unfit to bear children. Even if you werent in the picture I would have her brought up here, resupply the front end. Shes a pretty thing, make someone a good wife. We need to continue the supply after all. Second, shes yours and Gilliam made it clear she was necessary to keep you compliant. Why do you think we allowed you two to play house with those orphans? Her little pet project. Why we never collected those kids, yes I knew all about them all along.” Wilford spoke as if he was doing You and Curtis a major favor. The fucken ass. Curtis could just see you now, the roll of your eyes and arms folding over your chest, Child Bearing Wife? Go Fuck Yourself Wilford.
All this information sunk in, Still alive, You were still alive. He could have you back, it was as simple as saying yes at this point. Sinking to his knees, his hands came to his face, relief watering his eyes and a soft sob broke. Wilford circled the man, whispering to him “Imagine it Curtis, life of luxury up here, have your girl back. You wouldnt ever have to live in a cage per say again. Just follow my orders like a good little soldier. Its really that easy. Minister Everett, sounds fitting right? The tail ender who actually made something of himself. Gilliam would want that for you.” Then he walked away, leaving Curtis all alone, choking on another sob, his hand came to his head and brushed his signature beanie off, rubbing his head.  No Curtis, you are here for a reason, echoes of your voice shouted at him.  “And if I say no?” Wilford snorted with disdain at Curtis, rolling his eyes with exasperation.
“Im giving you the deal of a life time and you dont want to take it? Fine, I guess I will have her killed Curtis, marched right up here and you can watch her die, or bring her up here and give her away to someone else? You can watch another man have her. Is that a better option. Its either you do this or you die and shes mine.” He gave a shrug. “The choice of your fates is in your hands.” Wilford was no fool, he knew how to work Curtis, already he could see the mans shoulders sink in a sign of defeat. Claude was perched near the gate entrance when it opened, a glance over her shoulder widened her smile, and she stepped aside. “Ahhh, I was wondering where my predecessor had gone off to, its about time you arrived. I was just telling Curtis all about what we set up for him.”
Curtis looked over his shoulder and the familiarity of the man struck him hard, it was like looking at you, your features in this young man was so prominent, he croaked out in disbelief.
“Matt?!”
Yes, your brother was still alive, healthy and alive. Dressed in a fine suit, well groomed, the young man smirked at Curtis. “Long time Curtis, good to see you again.”

Bts yandere reaction ~ you talk for the first time
Hyung line
Jin
Tumblr media
He knew you, or at least he knew who you were, it wasn't common for him to be shy or hesitate around people but Your were the exception, he tried to learn everything he could of you, but it turns out you were fairly new, and even taehyung that spoke you from time to time didn't really knew a lot.
So he dedicated his free hour between clases to see you study at the library, or if he didn't find you there in the cafe close to campus but a little deserted.
You were a loner most of the time, with a close circle of friends and you had the sweetest voice he had ever hear in his life. You were like an angel, so perfect and pure in his eyes, the people around you only polluted your image, and too many times he found himself fuming at your friends for touching you.
Your friends were mostly guys so he suffered more than anything watching you go out with them, according to this your were single so he thanked the gods for that. Still even after almost a month of watching you he couldn't muster enough courage to talk to you. But today, today things would change.
He hadnt even prepared the hole thing, it was more of an spontaneous thing, he was at the café waiting for you to come for your daily dose if sugary cafe; Jin actually had noted and things he had to get over with so he took some of his books out, getting lost in his own world when the chair in front of him was moved and you sat down smiling.
He was stupefied to said the least, for a fearful moment he thought you had found out about him following you but you didn't seemed angry or bothered so he tried to swallow his panic away. You put down a Chocolate cake he sometimes ordered and pushed to the middle of the table,  two spoons in one side "hi, I'm y/n" you said smiling, and he was totally enchanted with your existence  "I know we don't know each other but I've seen you here a lot but youre always alone" you talked looking down for a moment embarrassed "so I wanted to keep you company today" you added and then looked at the contents of the table "that's If I'm not bothering you" you said looking shy all of a sudden.
He shook his head fervently "No!, no I mean" he said blush starting to creep up his cheeks at his too loud tone "you're not a bother, I - I ve seen you around before, I'm seokjin, but you can call me Jin" he said blushing, God you were practically still strangers but you already had so much power over him.
You smiled, blinding him with your beauty "good" you said getting comfortable in the seat "so tell me Jin, what do you normally do here?"
Suga
Tumblr media
Min Yoongi was a man that preferred to stay inside, everyone knew that, he was used to pass hours, if not days and nights completely holed up in his studio, going out for food or a class.
That day though, he had left his studio to go for coffee in a cafe close to the music building, and when he entered the warm heaven that smelled like caffeine he saw you.
You were in a sweater and an oversized dark blue jacket, a beanie on your head making you look small and cozy. You had earphones on your ears and a laptop in front of you, some books in the table opened and the seat in front of you was temporarily empty judging by the other cup of coffee.
He ordered his usual but instead of going he stayed in one of the tables at the back, having a perfect view of you working.that day he stayed until you left which was hours after, he had totally forgotten about all his job he needed to do, and probably should have done but he didn't care.
So Min Yoongi started to work in his stuff at the Cafe, the sun light was annoying some times and people were loud, but he got to see you more than once a week so he didn't complained.
He continued his non-stalking, according to him because what was wrong in watching someone you were infatuated with? Besides he wasn't hurting anyone so there was no problem.
It was a Friday when he had to leave his daily sesion of seeing you because Jin had called for a get together in his house and he would skin him alive for missing another one of those, beside he had all the day of tomorrow to see you at the cafe.
He hoped you didn't bring anyone else with you this time, some days you wouldn't be alone, and he felt his blood boiling, they would only hurt you, you were his sunshine, something so delicate and cute that needed to be protected and the scum you hang around with weren't enough for you.
When he arrived, he was met with a melodic laugh and the voice of the others chatting, Namjoon let him pass and when  he came into the living room there you were, sitting besides jungkook laughing about something he said while he laughed too.
"Oh! Y/n this is Yoongi hyung, the hermit who never leaves his studio" someone said to you, he didn't knew who, he was too lost in you to care, and then you were looking at him, with warm eyes and a smile "nice to meet you Yoongi" you said from the couch, he didn't answered after a few seconds until taehyung and jimin started giggling, he got out of his reverie, blushing at your knowing smile "Hi-Hi" he chocked out, jimin fell on top of Taehyung laughing.
Hoseok
Tumblr media
The first time he saw you, you were in one of the beginners dancing classes at the company he worked for, you were just a year younger than him and studying in the same university according to the information he could get of you from people of your class.
After that he made time to at least see parts of your class, watching you from the door at how you learned every step, your body was gorgeous bit your coordination sometimes wasn't the best. You were an amateur but your energy and determination was something he didn't see quite often, so he fell for your clumsy  before he could of help it.
There was a little tiny inconvenience, you didn't knew he existed, sure he knew where you studied, your schedule and classes, the name of your bets friend, but still he was just a shadow around you, nothing else but a ghost.
He had to change that, he knew that, be wasn't about to kidnapp you so he could be with you, he wasn't that desperate, so a day after practice when he was leaving he hear music from one of the classrooms that should be unoccupied by that time.
He walked towards it ready to scold anyone who was inside when he saw you, you were sweaty, your body moving to the beat of the song much better than when you started and he found himself unable to look away from your moving figure, your were just so perfect.
Delicate to his eyes, a sight that many didn't deserve to see, because your were his, even if your didn't knew already, you were his and he would die before letting anyone erase the smile he so much fell in love with from your face.
So he walked in going behind you before speaking over the music "you need to let your body loose a little bit more on that part" his voice startle you out of your concentration and you turned around blushing at the fact that someone had seen you dance all alone, sure that's why you stayed, but you knew you weren't the best at dancing, so your mortification only grew when you met eyes with one of the teacher and more successful students of the academy.
Hoseok walked closer to you moving your body in a certain way so you would move easier that way "this way" he said, breath fanning over your ear "you will move better to the next sequence of steps" you turned to look up to him and he smiled down to you "try again and I'll he'll you" he said and you nodded not trusting your voice.
You spent another hour practicing with Hoseok in the dance studio, you stopped when  you saw how late it was becoming "thanks really" you said looking down, he cooed inside, you were so cute and shy "no problem" he said smiling to you a sunshine smile "we can practice more another day?" he added a little insecure and you opened your eyes like plates.
Hoseok, hobi, the one and only best dancer that you have ever seen was willing to help you, to practice with you, he must have taken your silence for rejection because he started to apologize "sorry it was too much on my part, I should have known-"
"No wait yes!, I mean yes to... Practice" you said, he smiled again and you did too "its a date then"
Namjoon
Tumblr media
Namjoon was a level headed person, he thought before acting, he planned things and knew how to treat with people. At least that's how he saw himself. Everything went out of the window of course when he met you.
Or saw you, if you wanted to be more honest, you were on one of his favorite book stores, you were looking around much like he was supposed to be doing. You had thus sura surrounding you, he swore you looked like a star right then and there.
Ethereal was the word he was looking for in that moment to describe you, you looked so perfect but simple at the same time, he crashed with a stand of books and scrambled to hold it so the damage was minimal, that day he only saw you for a moment, but he made a mental note to come back another day so he could look at your eyes again.
That day didn't come until a  week later, sure he had came back every day to look for you but you weren't there, until a week later you walked in hurt in time when he thought he wouldn't see you again, you were with someone this time, a man who he didn't recognize was talking with you, it was friendly banter he could tell.
But still it made him gripped the book between his hands so hard his knuckles turned white, he followed both of you that day, saw how you went to some other stores before staying g for dinner at a restaurant, he watched closely but undetected. He knew then he had to get closer to you before anyone else could taint you.
So he made a plan, he kept seeing you, following you, he learnt your habits and the most common places for you to go, he waited, even when it was torturous and he had to beat some guys now or then, even one time when he saw a guy going on a date with you, he got rid of him, cutting of the hands that had touched your pure skin.
When he first talked to you it was all planned, you were at the book store again, and Namjoon "tripped" crashing with you making you almost fall before he got his arms around your waist pulling you close "oh god, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" he said faking being apologetic while not letting you go, the feeling of your body finally close to his made him drunk.
You looked surprised but when you looked up you blushed almost instantly, he held off the smirk, knowing you probably found him attractive, your hands were on his chest and you blushed even more noticing this so you looked down "ye-yes yes, I'm fine thank you" you said stepping back when he released you "are you okay, I mean you almost send us both to the ground" you added and Namjoon looked down acting embarrassed "ah yeah I'm a little bit clumsy so this happens sometimes" he admitted smiling at you "don't worry, I have my moments too" you said.
He smiled at you then looking at the book on your hand " that's a good one by the way" he said, you looked down at your hands "really? I was intrigued by it, is it worth it? You asked looking up at him with sparkling eyes, he nodded smiling, dimples showing" one hundred porcent worth it"

Instant Family?
Title is not that great, hell even the story might not be that great. But I'm giving it a go. Once again, I'm not a great writer but this has been rolling around my head.
Henry had laughed so much tonight, his cheeks still hurt. A very competitive game of DDR (dance dance revolution) with Elsa and her kids, turned into the silliest dance party he's ever been too. Furniture had been pushed to the side so Elsa could properly teach the kids how to dance the running man. Henry dared not to get up and try that at all, he'd need more than those two beers at dinner to even attempt it.
Henry loved the energy and closeness of her family and they welcomed him like he had been a friend they've know for years. Henry admired they way she handled the kids herself. She didn't sweat the small stuff and she understood they are great days and others where its okay to have cereal for dinner. The excitement surrounding them was so infectious that he found himself often walking over to their condo after the gym. He felt completely accepted and it reminded him of his home back in Jersey.
Though at times his heart felt heavy, he longed for a family just like this. Rambunctious kids running outside with vivid imaginations. He imagined someday rolling out of bed on a lazy Saturday morning to the smell of chocolate chips waffles and bacon. Hearing the hushed squabbling over how many pieces of bacon they could sneak before setting the table.
Five year old Isabella had let Henry in on the bacon heist that occured every Saturday morning. It was cutest thing to see Isa explaining to him that he should probably use his superman powers.
"Henry you gotta be super duper fastest!"
Henry smiled at the seriousness in her tone. Isa had even offered to distract her mom if he needed help, since he didn't have the suit on. That was his first of many Saturday morning waffles.
Henry was caught off guard with the screaming excitement of Elsa and kids when Push It by Salt n Peppa came on. He couldn't help but smile at how free and in the moment she was. He laughed loudly and shook his head, when Elsa started shimming her shoulders and shaking her head. Strands of her hair were coming out of her loose ponytail, her eyes were closed and she smiled bright. it tugged his heart when he saw her in these joyful moments. The kids fed off of her energy, 5 yr Isa was mimicking her mothers rhythmic movements. He was surprised and impressed that even 12 year old Marco was dancing.
Elsa danced hopped her way over to Henry and made a big show of of using her air lasso to pull him to her. Henry let out the biggest laugh at her silliness. He shook his head but rose to his feet and rolled his shoulders along with the music. He hadnt felt this carefree in long time. He was loving it.
**"Alright, alright niños, its time to get ready for bed." Elsa called out as she shut off the speakers.
His favorite chorus of "But mom" started.
Elsa laughed and shook her head.
"Sorry guys tomorrow is another day, go get ready for bed I'll clean up."
The kids grumbled as usual but listened anyway.
Henry sighed, this only meant he had to leave soon. He already missed them. He thought about Elsa a lot, envisioning waking up to her morning kisses before the hustle and bustle of getting the kids up for school. He could see himself teaching the kids rugby, proper soccer and maybe taking them camping. He wouldn't mind a few princess dress up parties or helping Isa sell all her troops girl scout cookies either.
At first when he meet the new single gym member he tried to be completely charming, hoping to ask her out.  But a little self doubt crept up on him and he lost his nerve. Later he heard through the gym grapevine that Elsa wasn't ready to date. That stung a bit, he definitely felt a spark when they talked.  Then he learned that she was divorced with two kids and that threw him for a loop. He wondered if he was responsible enough to date a parent. Dates would require extra planning so anything spontaneous might be out of the question.  He supposed it was for the best. If they had started dating and it became serious how could he leave her and her kids for months at a time. She would need someone more present right? He couldn't do that to them, so he kept his feelings towards her to himself. And hoped she wouldn't catch him staring. Instead he settled for friendship and greedily accepted an open invitation to her house anytime.
Henry started moving furniture back and picking up pillows off the floor while Elsa swept up a bit.
"You don't have to help me clean up Henry."
"I really don't mind."
Elsa beamed and it made his heart beat a touch faster.
**
He was lingering a bit after saying his final goodbyes and wishing Isa a goodnight. Marco would always pound his fist and Isa would raise her arms so he could carry her into a big hug. Sometimes he'd make silly faces just to hear her cute little giggle.
***
Elsa felt her stomach in knots, she felt hot, sweaty and completely nervous. Last time she walked Henry out she gave him small peck on his cheek. She hugged him like always but he smelled so delicious and when hugged her a little tighter she just went for it. She was definitely sure he thought it was just a friendly peck. There was no way he'd be interested in someone like her, right? But oh god did he make her swoon everytime he offered to throw the football around with Marco or when he'd set up a little tea party fort with Isa. He was completely sweet and patient with them. He didn't know how much it meant to her that her kids got to see a how caring and understanding a man could be. Marco really looked up to him, always eagerly taking in any advice Henry gave him.
For almost a year they've known Henry and her feelings for him seemed to triple each time he was around. He always offered a sympathetic ear and encouraging words. He was so tender sometimes it felt like her heart was going to split. He was such a goofball and she was sure that not everyone knew that side of him.
**
The kids had already rushed off to bed and that left both of them standing around awkwardly.
"Walk me out?"
"Of course."
She lead him down the narrow hallway to the front door. Elsa opened the door and as Henry passed in front of her he playfully nudged her shoulder.
"Everything okay Elsa?"
"Oh, um yes. I'm just tired."
"Are you sure, do you need anything," his voice a little more serious.
"Hmmmm, maybe next time you can bring Kal? I'd love some fluffy cuddles."
"Ugh, Kal gets all the attention!"
"Oh stop it, you know we love you too!" Elsa laughed.
Henry laughed along but he felt giddy about her saying "love" even though it was in friendship kinda way.
"Come here," she said as she opened her arms.
And this was his favorite part of the night.
This time he leaned down wrapping his arms around her waist and she quickly wrapped hers around his neck. She whispered in his ear, "thanks for coming over" and he squeezed her tighter hoping for a repeat of last week. He felt her turn her face and gently kiss his cheek again. His body felt like it was vibrating and he swore he could feel her heart beating out if her chest. Henry pulled away slightly to look at her, he smiled a her blushing face. He saw her eyes glance down at something, his lips maybe? She bit the corner of her lips and slowly pulled him back down to her. Henry then felt her soft lips kiss his once then twice and finally he kissed her back. Her lips parted and he hungrily kissed her, he hoped she could somehow feel how he felt about her. Elsa moaned into his mouth and Henry gripped her hips. She pulled back breathlessly, her chest rapidly heaving. Henry felt a jolt of sensations, his body feeling cold and hot with a flush around his ears.
Elsa was in some kind of euphoric state and suddenly she felt freezing wave of embarrassment rush over her. She quickly pulled away, stuttering an apology.
"I, I don't know what came over me. I didn't mean to, mean to...I'm really sorry Henry." " You should probably go," she whispered.
Henry was completely confused as to what was happening now. Did she regret kissing him? She wasn't even looking at him.
"Elsa, can we talk about this for a minute."
"Mommy?"
They both turned to see Isa rubbing her eyes walking towards them.
"Can we talk about it tomorrow? I'll call you" she whispered.
"Mommy, come read to me please."
Elsa quickly scooped up Isa and turned back to Henry pleading him with her eyes.
He wanted to stay, he wanted to tell her he'd wait outside if she wanted, so they talk tonight.
"Please Henry."
The looked she gave him broke his heart, her eyes were starting to well up her nose getting a little pink.
"Okay. Tomorrow?"
She nodded, feeling relieved.
He closed the gap between them and hugged them both.
"Goodnight princess."
"Nite Henry."
He kissed Elsa's cheek and walked out the door.
*** FYI DDR is still awesome and so is Salt n Peppa. Push it, push it real good🎶🎶🎤🎶🎶

Christmas noms (part 1)
Merry Christmas my Snexy little snexlits! Here's part of Christmas noms! Part two will be coming soon <3))
Max hated this fucking camp sometimes like seriously what the fuck was up with this place.
He kicks open the mess hall doors, everyone just eating their breakfast like normal, David with his apple juice and the other two counselors with their coffee. Everyone turned to look at him due to his dramatic entrance.
“It is once again, fucking snowing outside.” He announces loudly. As expected every kid lost their shit and burst out of the mess hall screaming with excitement.
“Again! Really?” Gwen groans before downing the rest of her coffee. She scowls as she gets up and heads to get a shovel and warmer clothes.
“Again? Seems plausible I suppose.” Daniel mumbles, watching Max march over to them. The kid seemed really bothered by it which was strange since nothing really bothered Max to begin with.
“That's great news! We can have another Christmas, this time with Daniel!”
Daniel rolls his eyes and finishes off his coffee. He didnt see what the big fuss was, it was just snow no need so a celebration. He knew however there was probably no way to keep David from continuing his plan.
“It's fine really we don't have to- and there he goes.” he says sighing heavily as David hurried off. He supposed he should find some colder weather gear at least a jacket anyways.
“There's no stopping him, just go with it.” Max calls out from the coffee machine. Instead of coffee like usual he made himself some hot chocolate.
“David likes being able to make us happy given any chance.” He continues. He stirs his drink and blows on it.
“He gets caught up in the moment and forgets that we sometimes just like to spend time with him.” Max says taking a sip and sighing happily. This camp was making him soft that was for sure, after all sharing his feelings and thoughts willingly? It was gonna be hell when he got back home.
“Anyways you should probably get out there, 10 bucks says Preston's wearing nothing but that weird diaper thing.”
Daniel raises an eyebrow at that but nods, Max knew everyone the best which meant he was going to be loosing some money soon. He follows Max out and shakes his head fondly at the chaos.
“Preston for zem- for goodness sakes you need clothes on- don't you dare go onto that lake Space kid it's not going to hold!”
Perfect Daniel was distracted. Now was for a hastily constructed plan to get the counselors some gifts.
“Nikki what do we got?” Max asks turning his attention to his friend. He was impressed when she set a plain mug on the table, something she had probably swiped in their last adventure to town.
“We can decorate it! It'll be something cool or badass!” Nikki gushes. The group nods in agreement amongst themselves trying to figure out for who exactly.
“Anyone else got something remotely giftable?” Max calls out. He brushes the falling snow off of the cup before stashing it in his hoodie pocket.
“My dads sent me a trash magazine , I'm not really into it though.” Ered says flipping her hair absentmindedly. It looked like present making was going well so far.
Daniel would admit that he might have been slightly out of shape. The kids kept insisting that he eat foods that weren't on his diet and despite having to chase after them at times he didnt really exercise.
This however was an exception. “Space kid get over here this instant!” He hisses out hesitantly hurrying to the edge of the dock. He was still breathing heavily from hunting Preston down and forcing him to put clothes on, honestly he was surprised that none of these kids had gotten frostbitten yet. Where did they even learn that being out in the cold with practically nothing was okay?
“I'm okay Daniel, the ice held last time!”
This is was honestly going to give him a heart attack someday, he swore it. One day Space kid would do something so heart stopping that he would die.
“I would like to point out that this is not last time!” He hisses out reaching for his kid. Damn just out of reach, whatever it was fine the ice seemed to be holding for now.
“This is seriously not alright, you know how deep the water is here and I am not going to-” a loud crack made him freeze in mid sentence. For the first time in a while he hoped that was him cracking.
“Off the ice now Space kid.” He says calmly. He glances around the ice trying to find where it had started to crack. Daniel probably wouldn't be able to explain what happened even if he tried to.
Things had just blurred together when Space kid fell into the freezing cold water. Any rational thought went out the window the second Space kid started sinking. Great for space much to heavy for the water.
“No!”
He wasnt sure who said it but the next thing he knew he was freezing cold with Space kid protectively held in his hand. If he currently wasnt going to get hypothermia he might have congratulated himself on how fluid his movements had been.
“You dumb kid.” He mumbles fondly and slides Space kid into his mouth. He was already shaking violently at still being in the freezing cold water so the full body shudder of having his kid's freezing cold body inside went unnoticed.
He huffs to himself and carefully starts rolling Space kid around as he was hoping to warm him up and responsive before sending him down. The kid had gone underwater after all he was very concerned.
He forces himself to move in the freezing cold water towards the ice that hadnt broken yet, slowly sliding onto it. If he didnt love Space kid so much he'd be pissed and annoyed right now. He slid further onto the ice until he got to a point where he could stand.
He hesitantly stands and sighs in relief when the ice did break. Now that adrenaline had worn off the icey cold hit him and it was worse than anything he had felt before.
He grimaces and makes a beeline to the counselors cabin, pressing Space kid into his cheek as he did so.
“You sir are explaining yourself later.”
He says slowly, making sure not to accidentally bite his kid. Right now he had the issue of ice cold clothes and possibly freezing right now.
“Okay so we have a number one camp dad' for David, a trashy magazine for Gwen and a bunch of little coupons that let Daniel do stuff with us.” Max says listing off the objects. Everyone confirms what had been said, a newly clothes Preston presenting the boxes.
“Perfect, now all that's left of for David to come back.” Max says. He was pleased with himself for getting things put together so quickly in such a short amount of time. He just hoped Space kid had played his part
((Part two coming soon! ))).

Bonus Chapter 21.5
M’Baku x Akari (OC)
“Please, please help me.”
Akari took a moment to process what was happening, especially because she had thought she was going to have to throw fists, not hold hands.
"Akari please I cant do this anymore." N'Ceba started sobbing quietly, tears falling down her cheeks leaving Akari to try to switch from ‘fight mode’ to ‘friend mode’. Part of her was wondering if this was a ploy for sympathy, but until she heard her out Akari decided to comfort her sobbing classmate with an arm and gently sit her down, as N'Ceba looked like she was going to collapse.
"N'Ceba,” Akari started, slowly. “Tell me what's wrong."
"Akari I'm sorry I'm so sorry." N'Ceba choked through tears. "I didn't wanna do this right from the very beginning but I had no choice but everything was fine until the challenge day and then you and Baku got involved and I felt like shit-"
"Hey hey hey," Akari tried to soothe N'Ceba, who was clearly on a rambling confession. "Deep breaths, just deep breaths." She calmly instructed, with N'Ceba following her commands, which seemed to slightly lessen. "Why dont you start from the beginning, okay?"
"Okay." N'Ceba sniffed. Act or no act Akari couldnt help feeling sorry for her, it was hard to watch someone be so broken. Especially N’Ceba. Aside from her current ‘personal space issue’ with M’Baku, Akari could admit that N’Ceba was nice to be around. She was generally a happy person, always smiling, always happy, always social. Akari had never seen N’Ceba even come close to crying, even she accidentally got hit in the face full force with a ball.
"A couple of years ago, my father and his family took me to the palace and introduced me to Uuka. We would often go to the palace as my dad is a noble. We grew close and as luck would have it, Uuka and I slowly fell in love. He was so warm and kind and caring, I mean how could I not?" N'Ceba sniffed with a nostalgic smile before biting her lip. “He always looked out for me and cared for me. And one day in secret, since Uuka isn’t really one for big huge showy things, he went and told my father that he was the man I would marry one day." N'Ceba wiped her eyes as she continued. "While it wasn't anything official at the time, but it was something. We were going to tell people after the challenge day.” Akari’s eyes lowered and her mouth slightly parted as she knew where this was going.
"But the on the day of the challenge, when Uuka lost to M'Baku, everything shattered. What I hadnt realised at the time was that my father didnt want me to be with Uuka purely because he thought we were a "good match". No, he wanted our bloodline to continue in the Jabari throne. How stupid of me not to realise." N'Ceba chastised herself with a laugh, and Akari couldnt help but wince. Whatever misgivings she had, she didn’t think N'Ceba was stupid for thinking her own father wanted the best for her.
"It wasn’t enough that Uuka was good to me and treated me well and that he was a prince, no my father wanted his grandchildren to be friggin heirs." N'Ceba scoffed.
"Right after the challenge took place my father dragged me away by the arm and told me that from then on I was to act in a way that M'Baku would favour me. Or else. You know he would have beaten me if he wasn’t sure that it would affect my chances at wooing Baku."
"Ever since then I have acted the way my father wanted me to act. Slowly becoming closer with M'Baku, playing the typical 'fangirl'. And I know this all sounds fucked up but even you remember people never used to talk about me and M'Baku until a couple years ago." N’Ceba "And then when you came into the picture..."
"You were scared for your life."
N’Ceba barely nodded. "My father had pressured me to double my efforts, but it was pretty clear from the Winter Solstice Banquet that you two were a thing." Akari bit her lip and narrowed her eyes looking up, wondering if this really was the best time to divulge the whole ‘getting love-drugged’ story, but Akari thought it best to save for another time.
“Does Uuka know?” Akari questioned, but N’Ceba’s face said it all. “Uuka is the 'or else' isnt he.”
“I kept my distance since then.” N’Ceba sniffed. “
“Please Akari know that I am sorry I never meant to-“
“Its okay.” Akari held a hand up. "I get it now."
“But Akari this wasn’t supposed to be just me apologizing, I also came to warn you.” N’Ceba took a deep breath before speaking. “My father… even I’m not sure what lengths he would go to… have a foothold on the throne. I know it’s dangerous to speak of these things-“
Akari gripped her shoulder, settling into her serious demeanor. "N'Ceba it is treason."
“I know that!” N’Ceba exclaimed, gritting her teeth. “I know. And I have known for a long time. But I care about M'Baku. And I don’t want to see you two, or anyone else get hurt in the crossfire."
"Have you told anyone else?"
"No, I haven't. To be honest my father has eyes and ears everywhere and I can't be sure who is watching. Its why I have to keep the act up even at school." N’Ceba made a subtle glance at the door. I guess I’m not the only one with trust issues here… Akari mused. “And what exactly did you need my help for?” She drew out slowly.
“To believe me.” N’Ceba gripped her Akari’s hands. “That is my favour, believe me. Please.”
Akari exhaled and looked into N’Ceba’s eyes, judging her worth. Her story did fill some holes, however it was the fact that she would even dare speak of treason to Akari, that she would risk the stature of herself, her father and her family to only ask for belief.
“I only have one-
“I have no feelings towards M’Baku.” N’Ceba reading Akari’s expression. “I still love Uuka.”
“Okay.”
“Like I really love him.”
“Okay.”
“Like have you seen him shirtless? Like I mean those back muscles though.
“Ooookay.”
“And like you’d think he’d be all nice and sappy but when I well you he can be damn dominant-“
“OKAY THAT’S ENOUGH INFO!” N’Ceba burst out laughing at Akari’s outburst, who followerd suit with a laugh shortly after. “Well I’m sorry! It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to talk to anyone about it. About.. about everything.”
Akari gave her a sympathetic smile. “Don’t worry, I am 80% convinced.” N’Ceba laughed “Well I can’t blame you. I’d probably be more worried for you if you weren’t at least cautious.”
“Speaking of… in terms of who to trust. I think there’s at least one person that I know of in the palace who would be forever trustworthy, and that is the high priest.”
Akari tried not to tense up as flashbacks of birthing potions flooded her mind at the mention of the zealous priest. “And why would you say that?” She grimaced.
“Oh,” N’Ceba smiled. “He’s my grand-uncle.”
“…sorry he’s your WHAT??”
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“My nephew. When will you let go of this obsession, this fixation that plagues you.”
“You know exactly why uncle.” The figure hissed. The two figures illuminated only in the light of the fire and candles of the temple, and the fire of the heated temper of the younger.
“M’Baku and Akari have been bound by the ritual.” The priest’s eyes followed his young nephew.
“It was an accident.” He scoffed.
“Did you not see for yourself at the Winter Solstice banquet?” The priest gripped his staff and furrowed his brows. “He has already pledged himself to her. They are in love. There is no going against the will of Hanuman.”
“We were so close.” The figure who paced in the amber light of the fire made no motion to show that he had heeded the old man’s words. “So close to gaining the bloodline of the throne and then that boy-” He all but spat, “Had to lose to that oaf and that harlot, Eshile’s daughter-
“Beware of how you speak!” The priest boomed. “They are the future bloodline of the throne, not ours!”
The priest then bit his lip in the silence filled the room after his outburst, tears threatened to adorn his eyes. “Why can you not let my niece be happy?”
“Happy??”
“Yes. To be free of this grudge, to be happy in her own right.”
“There will be no happiness for my family until we are where we belong.” The figure stormed away from his aging relative, who mourned the darkness in his nephew that saw no signs of regressing. He made for the darkness of the night that would conceal his intentions, gritting his teeth in the snowfall of the night. “Until we have what we deserve.”

Steps on the Bifrost
Merry Nagamas @andthenalittledash--here’s your @nagamas gift! Can I just say—thank you so much for mentioning you like Laslow/Azura, because it is one of my favourite Fates ships and you gave me the excuse to finally sit down and write about them! (This also got a lot longer than I expected it to, haha.)
[AO3 Link]
The Nohrian army advances along the path to a hollow victory, and even those who know there is a greater enemy left unchallenged cannot help but by swept along by the tides of war, and the circumstances chosen for them.
Anankos had barely stopped toying with Takumi’s shell when she fled the throne room, great slashes of sapphire already beginning to rip their way up her arms and crawl their way across her face. She should have realised that her beloved would follow her, but some part of her, deep and cold and chosen second too many times before, had presumed he’d stay at his lord’s side. It would have been a cruel parting to be sure, but no matter the hours she’d agonised over the comfort or kiss she might have given him, she still had not the words to say goodbye.
Even so, it was his arms she found herself in when she toppled over, exhausted; a mockery of a dip, like this was just another evening of dance practice. His clothes soaked through where her body touched his, and when she peered up at him through eyes half-shut in pain, she saw that his face was horror-struck.
“Hey. Smile for me, won’t you?” she asked, before he could demand an explanation. Her own smile was bright as she could make it. “That’s what you always ask of me, isn’t it?”
His face was still desperate as he balanced her with one arm and started rummaging through his pockets like his life depended on it. Medicines were useless in the case of curses, as she’d been told when she was a child and had asked why she couldn’t let the water dance in a constant rhythm, but Azura couldn’t find the energy within her to make him stop, nor the heart.
“Smile for me. Please,” she said, with gentle insistence.
Inigo smiled, though his eyes were glimmering and it was clearly forced. A lot of his smiles were, and she mourned that she wouldn’t see a real one before it was all over, but it was better than nothing.
“That’s right. Lovely.”
***
“Did you ever think about what you’d name your children?”
The copse of trees muffled the sounds of camp around them, creating the illusion they were, if not alone, cut off from everyone else. Laslow paused, still bent over with the laces of his dancing slipper only half-tied.
“I never really considered such a thing,” he said. He finished the knot, flexed his feet, and, satisfied, straightened back up. “Though I suppose…”
He considered, for a long moment.
“Soleil.”
“Soleil?” The name was unfamiliar to her. “It’s pretty, but why that name?”
Laslow stood. He moved his right foot behind him and let his whole body lean back onto it, stretching his arms out to the sides and up, in a wide, circular arc. His hands, palms upwards, halted level with his head.
“The soleil is a movement from a certain school of dance back home.” He remained in the position for a moment longer before letting his arms drop and stepping back into a normal stance. “It symbolises being bathed in sunlight, or just the sun in general. I’ve always liked it.”
Back home, again, with no name. The urge to ask him where his home was grabbed at her yet again, stronger this time, but she stopped herself. He couldn’t tell her about this mysterious back home, just as she couldn’t tell him about Valla, be it of old or be it of the ruin beneath their feet.
“It’s always a pleasure to see the sun rise again, after all. How about you?”
Azura ignored all the old family names that occurred to her and chose another: “Shigure.” It had always struck her as a good name.
“Shigure?”
She smiled. “A light shower of rain.”
“My, it seems we truly are fated. What do you say to Rainbow for our third?”
Even as she joined him in laughter, she couldn’t help but recall that there was a Vallite name that would have been perfect for such a theme: Iris, after one of Valla’s first queens.
“What’s with the sudden curiosity?” he asked. “Interested in starting a family?”
She sent him a coy smile. Laslow’s cheeks burnt red and he averted his gaze, but then a wistful look came over him.
“You know,” he said, voice melancholy, “I lost my true family when I was a child. I was able to find something resembling it, but it’s not the same.” His face, if still a little embarrassed, was soft when he looked back over at her. “It would be nice, to create one together.”
She considered telling him she’d lost her family too, but given that he was retainer to a man who called himself her brother, that path would have led to nothing but more questions she couldn’t answer.
“I never really felt as though I belonged with the Nohrians, nor the Hoshidans,” she said instead. It was a poor substitute, but true enough, in its own way. “Not like Corrin does. Having a family together would be nice, I think.”
Laslow smiled; she couldn’t help returning it. It fell off his face, though, and an odd expression replaced it.
“Did I ever tell you that I come from somewhere far away? Very far.” He hesitated, clearly formulating what he was going to say next carefully. “If I were to go back, I would never be able to return. Would you—would you want to go with me?”
It was an unexpected question; the surprise must have shown on her face, because his blush spread even further over his cheeks and he stammered as he quickly rushed to explain himself.
“You don’t have to, of course—it’s just that, since you told me you don’t really feel like you fit in Nohr and Hoshido, perhaps we could make a fresh start? You, me, however many Soleils or Shigures or Rainbows we’ll have. We could visit my parents—my other parents—they’d be there too, and I’m so sure you’d like them.”
The look on his face was so tentative that her heart ached. For a moment, she fantasised about what it could have been like in a world where she might have made the same offer—offered even more than he could. But becoming royalty of Valla, that ruin with little chance of restoration, was more a curse than anything else now.
The wind rippled through the trees.
“That sounds lovely,” she said.
Laslow breathed out beside her, but before he could speak again she started to hum an old Vallite tune all the talk of the weather had reminded her of; it had once been a thanksgiving to Anankos, so she skipped over the verses of praise and onto how the dragon’s tears had first met with the fires of creation to forge the first bridge to the world above. (The existence of Valla was implicit, something so fundamentally understood mentioning it by name was unnecessary; it was just here.)
Laslow began to sway with the rhythm, and a few bars in, he began to dance.
***
Azura had never been close to her Nohrian family, in the literal as well as metaphorical sense. As the campaign wore on, however, that which Azura had always believed, but hoped was inaccurate—that the Hoshidans had little regard for her either—became a certainty. Kindness, likely performed on Queen Mikoto’s behalf and out of some sense of charity, was not closeness. It helped to think that way anyway, now that she was fighting on the side that had killed Takumi and were likely to slay the others too.
Still, if there had been a distance with Queen Mikoto’s own children, the average Hoshidan soldier cared even less for her wellbeing; she was nothing but another Nohrian now that Corrin had defected, as had been made clear to her when they’d torn her from the castle at Shirasagi and tried leaving her corpse at Fort Dragonfall as a message. (They were the same in theory, the two of them, hostages to the light and the dark, but it was always going to be Corrin’s choices that mattered, not hers.)
The lance fighters bearing down on her, venom in their eyes and curses on their lips, were not the first Hoshidans to try and rip her apart, but it was looking more and more certain they’d be the last. She considered, briefly, sapping their will to fight through song. There may have been no time left to stop the momentum of their thrusts, even if she were to relax their hearts enough to stop beating, and it might have been yet another waste of the pendant’s power, but still, even knowing it was of no use, she curled around herself and the stone on her chest, and would have begun to sing—
But there was a thicket, now. She looked on in confusion, slowly unfolding out of her defensive stance. The branches twisted around the soldiers like tentacles of some great octopus. They shouted and struggled as it devoured them, tangled in the thorns.
“They’re going to get out,” said Laslow, behind her. She turned. His hands were rooted in the earth and his voice was urgent and low. “It won’t hold them much longer.”
She stared at him; she couldn’t help it. His eyes were downcast, his hands and body trembling, as though he was unused to using the veins. It had truly been a secret then, from everybody, not just from her.
She turned, in a daze, and with a swipe of her lance, the skirmish was over. (Corrin would likely not approve, but Corrin didn’t know what it was Jakob did in the aftermath of battle, nor that Laslow had the dragon’s blood, nor the true depth of Xander’s emotions, nor the woman her mother had truly been. This would be one thread of a wide web of secrets and lies and deceptions; nothing, really.)
Laslow gasped and let go. The thicket receded, slowly and at an ambling pace, like it was an animal that had lost interest in the humans playing with it. She moved to kneel beside him, the movement half a stumble in the rush to get over to him. She snatched up his right hand with her own red-stained ones. There was dirt under his fingernails—he hadn’t taken care when he’d plunged them into the ground, it seemed—and even now, his arms were shaking. He gently touched her face with his other hand, its faint tremors all the more obvious when they were against her skin. Their eyes met for a long moment.
“They were going to kill you,” he said, the response to an unasked question.
They looked at one another for a moment longer before she kissed him, fleeting but without haste, and left the matter at that, helping one another to their feet and moving onward to the rest of the enemies they’d been tasked with eliminating. She wasn’t one to pry. She’d have been the worst kind of hypocrite if she was.
Still, when the battle was done, after they’d both remained silent on the subject of Hoshidan combatants found dead with deep scratches all over their corpses and they lay tangled together themselves, Laslow asleep, she lay awake with thoughts darting around her head like shoals of fish, this way and that. Her eyes idly tracked the veins which ran blue down his wrists and into his freshly-scrubbed hands.
A dozen thoughts had occurred to her, though only one had stayed lodged in her mind all this time; the first, in fact, that had sprung to mind when she’d seen his hands buried in the soil.
He’d once told her that he wasn’t supposed to exist in her world, though he couldn’t tell her why he came to be there, or how. She’d told him she understood, and she indeed had done, since she was under a similar obligation.
Maybe—
She touched his wrist lightly, just over the blue veins, and felt him come awake.
***
Once, when she had been the most wretched child among dozens of wretched children imprisoned within the circular walls of the royal keep at Windmire, Azura had experienced the most curious dream. Figures dressed in Vallite robes of the purest white had crowded around her in a version of Valla that no longer existed, each and every one vowing, with all the zeal of a holy mission, to ensure her happiness. They had enveloped her with such kindness and good cheer that when she awoke, her chest had felt light for the first time in months.
Beneath the open sky in a world at war, it had been a surprise to experience the dream once again: she was older now, after all, and had thought herself to have shrugged off the childish need for false comfort. The old figures had appeared before her tiny form once more—she’d still been a child in this new dream; it had felt natural in the way everything in dreams comes naturally—and a man, young and handsome, had kissed her on the forehead and promised a lifetime of smiles before sweeping her into one of the dances she’d been taught before the devastation, the traditional choral accompaniment that could not possibly exist in a reality where there were barely enough uncorrupted Vallites to form a duet soaring so clear and strong that her dream-self knew they could hear it in the world above.
What she had shivered at in daylight, even as it had felt natural in the dream in the way everything in dreams feels natural, was that the figures surrounding them were as distant and illusory as the soldiers that haunted Valla’s remnants, and the song to which they’d danced had included those verses she had suppressed in her memory, praise of the great Anankos echoing all around them over and over and over.
***
“I’ve taken stranger leaps of faith,” was Laslow’s only response.
She held his hand in her own, her fingers entwined with his. The water was hers to command, for however much longer she had; it would have taken and protected Laslow quite ably had she asked it, but she knew her touch would soothe any fears of drowning he might have had.
She pulled them through the water easily. At first, they were boneless as turtles gliding along a jet stream, but then she pulled them through faster, and faster, until they were darting down and down with such speed and grace that she imagined a current in their wake.
When they emerged the other end, falling out of the water in the same manner one might have fallen into it in the world above, she took Laslow into her arms and stayed with him in the air for a few breaths longer than necessary; a moment of self-indulgence, the water holding them up there to hover with all the rubble of Valla like a pair of courting dragonflies. She then let the water slowly start to disperse, the two of them floating down to the ground as a bubble does, landing elegantly together on their feet.
It was an unnecessary use of the pendant’s power, of course. Still, she’d used it so many times now, for Nohr and for Hoshido and for Corrin; if it was too late for her to aid in the fight against Anankos, if that fight would ever come, what was a moment of unleashing the pendant’s magic for herself, to will the water to dance around them and see how it would turn her beloved’s face into something akin to a dazed mortal gazing upon her like an oceanic goddess, a creature of power and majesty?
Besides, those priestesses who’d lectured her about restraint were all dead, Anankos’ puppets, or both. What did they know?
“You make the water dance almost as beautifully as you,” said Laslow. There was a slight stagger to his movements, and he leant back against one of the few pieces of stonework still anchored to the ground.
“None dance as finely as you but the water, love,” she said, smile transforming into a full grin, the ecstasy of the power and the water obeying her making her feel buoyant. “I just thought to give you a suitable accompaniment.”
“So, you were the Nestrian dancer, then,” he said. “I thought it might be. The way she moved, the steps she used, they were too familiar.”
“You’re not going to turn me in for the assassination attempt of our king, then?”
Perhaps it was the power still coursing through her, or perhaps it was because she knew Laslow, and knew who he’d pick between that dastard and herself, but she stared at him, unflinching.
“It was dangerous. If they’d found you—”
“Nobody guessed it was me,” she said. “None but you have the same eye for footwork, it seems. Not even my hair gave the game away. I did consider a wig, but there was no time to find one, and I thought it would be fine as is.”
Gods, but it felt good to talk without second-guessing every word.
Laslow still looked concerned, so she changed topic. “This is Valla,” she said to someone else for the first time in years. “This is my home. This is where I grew up. This is the kingdom Anankos destroyed.”
“So, you are a Vallite, after all. That’s why you’ve not been able to talk freely.”
“Is it why you haven’t been able to talk freely?”
Laslow hesitated before nodding. “Yes. I’ve known of it for years, though I’m not a Vallite myself.” A wave of disappointment hit Azura, but she weathered it. Laslow was still hers, no matter from whence he came. Besides, that he knew of Valla at all, that they’d shared this knowledge and curse together, was more than she could have ever hoped.
“How can you use dragon veins?”
She would have begged the gods he’d not mention Anankos’ name, but she’d never taken any god but the Silent Dragon, and he was now the enemy.
“Anankos gave us his blood.”
Rage bit into her heart. So, he was with Anankos. After all that had happened, after knowing she would never face him herself and make him answer for what he’d done, he’d managed to steal something else; her family, her home, and her lover, all warped.
“Anankos,” she said. It came out in a hiss, the sibilance continuing on a moment too long, serpentine.
Laslow reached out to touch her, but stopped short when she straightened and fixed him with a righteous glare.
“Anankos killed my father, you know. They were friends, once, but then he went mad and killed him. He turned the Vallites into these things. He turned Valla into this. And still, you’ve taken his side?” She thrust an arm out; the water moved with her. “You’ve taken his side?”
Laslow wouldn’t meet her eyes, no matter how she tried to capture them.
“My mother and father were killed by a dragon too,” he said. His voice was slow, and quiet. “He wasn’t mad, I don’t think, but I don’t know why else he did what he did. He ravaged the land, killed everyone he came across. He killed my mother and father, though they were friends with him once as well, or at least with the man he was. The greatest of friends. Anankos gave them the graves we couldn’t. And he let the flowers grow in that world once again.”
One tear, then another rolled down Laslow’s cheeks. Azura thought about wiping them away, but before she could move, he’d already dashed them away himself.
“It’s not the mad dragon we’re working for,” he said, voice steadier now. He finally met her gaze. “It was the remnants of his sanity we met. He gave us his blood, and we were to find and protect his daughter in Hoshido, though in the end, she’d been taken to Nohr.”
He paused.
“And we never found…”
He stopped.
“You found her,” said Azura. Somehow, she couldn’t bring herself to be surprised.
Her anger had subsided, somewhat, his tears and tale of woe dampening it into faintly-crackling embers, but years of bitter resentment and enmity for all those who would traffic with the god who had made her an exile were hard to wash away. She lapsed into silence, and stared out across the lake.
“There’s something you should know, if you hate Anankos so,” said Laslow. “Laslow is the name he gave me; it was something of an entry fee into this world.”
“Then what is your true name?”
“Inigo,” he said. He almost seemed shy, a faint blush coming over his features. Inigo. Somehow it fit him far more nicely than Laslow ever had.
“Inigo,” she said, trying it out on her tongue. “Inigo. A lovely name.”
Inigo smiled, but then a shadow crossed over his face. “There’s a way to get down here,” he said. “If we could bring Prince Xander here, perhaps we could stop the war.”
“There’s no stopping the war.”
“Xander is a reasonable man. If we can just tell him about Anankos—”
Tell them. Tell those under whose tender care she’d been left alone to rot in the dark, tormented, where if the Hoshidans hadn’t stolen her away, she would have met her death at another child’s blade, or by poison in a chalice; tell those for whom she was now trapped into fighting by Corrin’s decision (for Azura, who had lived her life among oaths and silent curses and prisons, had never been able to make a decision that mattered in her life.)
“It matters little if he’s reasonable,” she said. “Prince Takumi is dead. Queen Mikoto and King Sumeragi are dead. Nohrians are nothing but cutthroats and reprobates to the Hoshidans after all that has passed, and they’re far too stubborn to clasp hands with a nation of scoundrels, no matter who their common enemy might be. Garon would have Xander executed the moment he stepped out of line anyway. It’s too late. It’s too late.”
“Are you sure?” he asked.
Azura felt the cold bite of the pendant’s chain against her skin, and the faint but ever-present power that coursed through its core. No. No, I’m not.
“In my experience,” he said, a hard-won certainty on his face, “There’s always just a little more time left than you think.”
***
She closed her eyes, before feeling something smooth and round placed in her palm. She opened her eyes again, frowning. It was a small sphere, colours dancing around it like there was a rainbow trapped within.
“The mad dragon’s host sacrificed himself,” Inigo said, his voice weak and hold uncertain, like he wasn’t quite sure if he needed to stop her bursting or flying away. If he didn’t dry off soon, she noted vaguely, somewhere in the back of her mind, he’d catch a cold. “No matter how Father begged him not to. And still he got to come back. My parents ought to have died, and still they got live. There are worlds where fates can be averted. There are worlds where Anan—”
He gasped in pain as a sombre cheer rose in the distance, the Nohrians acknowledging their hollow victory. She felt his fingertips begin to drip where they rested upon her skin. Alarm shot through her and she scrabbled for his fingers—now that he’d shut up about the Silent Dragon, they were fine, though the tips of his fingers were gone along with part of his nails, down past the quick, water dripping from them like a mockery of blood.
“Please,” said Inigo. He whispered short pleas into her shoulder, abandoning all argument in favour of begging. Even without looking at his face she knew he looked wretched, his shoulders slumped and tears already starting to streak down his cheeks.
She touched the orb, weakly. Its aura was strong, but secure and protective, like the stories of the kindly god upon which she’d been raised. She traced its surface with a finger, watching the tracks of water left behind, then curled her hand around it.
“Laslow?” came Prince Xander’s voice. She raised her head and saw him walk through the door, a few more furrows in his brow and concern lurking beneath his usual stern expression. “Are you with—”
The last thing Azura ever witnessed of either the world above or below was Xander’s eyes landing on the pair of them and widening, everything warping and spasming as the two last hopes for the worlds above and below disappeared from his life as suddenly as they had entered it.

Statistically Speaking...
AN: Done for @tea-with-loki Torn In Two challenge. I got the idea almost immediately, but it was 3 a.m. So I jotted down notes/important snippets/information and it was tabled till the morning (later morning, after sleep). P.S. I love Breaking Benjamin, I usually end up listening to BB for the darker parts of my stories for inspiration.  Also...this is actually short by my standards.  Even for a one shot.
Hindsight AN:  This has turned into a mini-series.  I’m calling it the “Survivability” Mini Series.

"Is this the fate we fall between? Deface the life inside of me. Drain the heart with atrophy, and take away the remedy. I am torn in two...Hold on, hold on, we're barely alive. I am faded through...Hold on, hold on, the fallen arise. I will fight this world for you, and let the dawn of love survive. Broken, I crawl back to life!" --”Torn In Two” by Breaking Benjamin

*Connor POV*
Red and static glitched across his vision, marring the pure white of the snow covered abandoned parking lot. He was damaged, his systems informing him of how much damage had been taken and where, that he only had a sixty-one percent chance of survival if he took a very specific path of escape at this very moment. A few paces away, he could see you laying face-down in the snow, crimson slowly staining snow around you.
An ambush. Of course it had been an ambush. There had been a high probability that the information you both needed for the most recent turn of the Deviant case--androids being used to smuggle drugs one of which had caused a red ice lab to explode and killed dozens when it had gone deviant--could be found here. Connor had thought that the potential to find beneficial information had outweighed the risk.
He'd been wrong.
The shooting had started, and Connor had been the first one hit, his clearly android clothes making him an obvious primary target. The bullets had continued to be unrelenting as you both dove for different spots of cover behind broken down, rust covered cars. Connor was in bad shape, but behind the car ten paces to his left...
Chance of Survival: 3%
Three percent.
She's not going to make it.
His escape path was clearly mapped out in his mind. He only needed to follow it. You weren't going to make it no matter what he did, not with those odds.  The best thing he could do was limp back to the precinct and tackle the case from a new angle. It was the only logical option. Leave you. You were practically already dead.
So why hadnt he moved yet? A precious second went by and his survivability dropped to fifty-nine.  He needed to act.
But he couldn’t leave.
Connor shifted to a coiled position, ready to spring forward in your direction at a moment’s notice.  Thirium dripping from his wounds and stained the snow blue, but he ignored it and the Software Instability in the corner of his vision that seemed to be going haywire.
Without really thinking about what he was doing, Connor acted on what he would call instinct--if he wasn’t a machine.  He let the desire to help you however he could override the logic he’d assessed the situation with.
Three percent may have been a terrible chance of survival, but it was still a chance.
Determined, Connor leapt forward, racing to cover the distance between the two cars to get to you as gunfire rang across the parking lot once again.  Connor’s survivability dropped drastically, halved in seconds to twenty-four percent, and his systems quickly alerted him he’d sustained more damage and lost more thirium.  Another bullet hit a major component in one of his legs, and he went down, a foot from the car you were lying motionless behind.
Chance of Survival: 2%
Connor planted his arms in the ground, dragging himself against the ground to crawl forward that last foot.  He was leaving a thirium trail in his wake, another bullet grazing the back of his neck.
His survivability dropped to seventeen percent.  Yours was still clinging to that shaky two.
Connor managed to get his head and upper body behind the car, shielding the important parts from the gunfire.  Another bullet got one of his feet, and he ground his teeth together, pulling himself over to your side with more effort than he cared to admit.
Chance of Survival: 3%
Connor’s LED flashed--it had been red this entire time, but for the moment, it was yellow as he made a call for help.
5%
To his surprise, he saw your fingers twitch, and you stirred slightly.  He’d thought you’d been unconscious, but you seemed to still be responsive.
“C...Connor?”
The mumbled words were muffled by the snow, and would have been inaudible if it hadn’t been for his android senses.  It also stirred him back to action as he pulled himself over to you, putting his arm around you.  It took a few moments, but he managed to pull himself on top of you, one hand finding its way underneath you so he could put pressure on and try to stop the bleeding from one of your more serious wounds.
7%
“C...what..?”
Connor could hear footsteps approaching, and he felt his heart hammer in his chest, knowing that the people approaching had to be their ambushers.
“Don’t move,” he whispered back.  “No matter what happens.  Don’t.  Move.”
8%
Connor closed his eyes.
His own survivability flashed in front of him, a single, glaring red 1%.
In one last attempt to help your chances, he did his best to heat up his temperature before you were both found, not wanting you to freeze to death.
“Found it!”
Connor felt panic--actual fear--as the voice echoed above the two of you, and his grip around you involuntarily tightened as he saw that last chance of his survival disappear.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
*Hank POV*
Hank didn’t waste any time in getting to the parking lot Connor had directed him to, the ambulance he’d also requested struggling to keep up with Hank’s speed.
It would just have to keep struggling--there was no way in hell he was slowing down.  Whatever was happening, Connor had sounded like it was urgent, clearly life and death.
“You better be all right, you fucking plastic prick,” Hank muttered out loud as he took a risky hard turn into the abandoned parking lot, the hula girl on his dash dancing wildly.
Hank only bothered to pull into the parking lot enough so that the ambulance still had room, jumping out of the car and pulling out his gun and a flashlight as he rushed into the parking lot, flashlight sweeping behind car after car when he didn’t see Connor or you out in the open anywhere.  The android EMTs followed a few paces behind him, waiting for a signal that would tell them who their patient was.
He’d been searching for almost ten minutes when he caught sight of something blue glowing in the snow, the clear sign of an android.
“Connor!”
It was already a bad sign that the android was on the ground and covered in snow, but the fact he didn’t respond to Hank’s call only made the fears hank had been trying to suppress worse.  As he got closer, he could see the thirium stained snow leading from one car to where Connor was currently lying motionless, and then he saw the crimson...
Finally he got close enough his flashlight illuminated Connor’s body, riddled with bullet holes and lying unmoving atop something Hank couldn’t see.
“Connor!” Hank shouted, tucking his gun away as he dropped next to the android.  He tried to roll him over, only to realize Connor’s arm was wrapped around something.  Hank quickly switched tracks, pushing Connor the other way and rolling him onto his back.
As well as revealing you were hidden underneath him.
“Jesus Christ,” Hank swore, one hand reaching out to Connor while the other landed on your shoulder.  Not a single bullet had pierced through Connor to you, but his clothes, especially his jacket, was soaked in thirium, the same blue blood coming out of his nose and mouth, eyes still closed, LED dark.  “Jesus Fucking Christ...”
Hank rolled you over carefully, expecting to see you riddled with bullet holes and dead as well.  When he did, he only saw a couple gunshot wounds, and he could see--now that you were on your back--that Connor’s hand had been over the worst, keeping you from bleeding out before help could arrive.
Your chest rose.  Marginally, but enough for him to see you were somehow still alive.
“Get your asses over here!” Hank hollered at the EMTs, who were already hurrying over with their stretcher.  “Shit!”
Hank looked over at Connor again, taking in the blue blood drag mark from the other car, and the crimson snow that hadn’t budged, the bullet holes all over him, your blood on his hand.
It wasn’t hard for Hank to put together that whatever had happened, Connor’s actions saved your life at the cost of his own.
Your life took precedence.  Hank went with you to the hospital, hoping you were going to be all right--especially with what Connor had sacrificed to keep you alive--unable to help but think of Cole.  It wasn’t like he could do anything with Connor’s body, though--Cyberlife had a certain way of doing things.  They were supposed to be called when there was a destroyed android.
They didn’t come for hours, though, unbeknownst to Hank, or you, lying in recovery in the hospital, currently in a coma but the doctors optimistic considering how far you’d defied the odds already.
Connor remained lying in the snow for hours, surrounded by blue, white, red, and rusty metal.  It started snowing again, gradually hiding the android from view of the outside world as time slipped by.
There was a soft whir that hummed through the parking lot.
A dull red glow emanated from beneath snow.

Walking The Wire (109/?)
Summary: Tony Stark always knew about Peter Parker. He didn’t know that Peter was going to get superpowers and become Spider-Man, but he always knew about Peter because Peter was his son.
This will span from pre-Iron Man up through the rest of the MCU (eventually including Infinity War) and will be for the most part canon compliant except where I’ve taken some liberties and interpreted canon a certain way.
Pairings: Pepper/Tony, Tony/Steve (endgame), Tony/Mary (past)
A/N: If you want me to tag you when I post new chapters let me know. This fic is also on AO3
I used Collider’s MCU timeline to stay canon and the title of this fic is an Imagine Dragons song that is just so fitting for Peter and Tony

Chapter One Hundred Eight
2018
Ben & Jerry’s came out with a whole bunch of new flavors that were Avengers inspired. Peter found out when Ned texted him and MJ about it in a group text. Later, when he got home from school, he found out that not only were there new flavors, but that Ben & Jerry had gone ahead and sent them at the tower a few pints of each of the new flavors.
“This is amazing,” Peter said when he peered into the freezer. “Did you know this was happening?”
“Despite your metabolism, I don’t expect that eating all of it at once would be wise,” his dad said. “And no, I didn’t.”
“How long do you think they’ve been working on this?” Sam asked. He was leaning against one of the counters and already digging into a pint box of the A Hunka-Hulka-Burning Fudge. “Don’t they take years creating flavors?”
“Not sure. Don’t care,” Tony said and reached into the freezer to pull out Cap-ilicious Triple Berry.  “All I know is that apparently I’m not off dairy and that this is delicious.”
“I would have thought they’d do a more patriotic look to Cap’s ice cream,” Sam said.
Peter reached blindly for one of the containers so he wouldn’t have to make a choice and he saw his dad shrug as he took a bite of the Cap inspired ice cream. Peter had wound up with Stark Raving Hazelnuts which really was not all bad. It was certainly a nice thing to come home to. He took another bite and then took a picture of the ice cream to send to Ned.
“You know, I’m really glad we got a wedding planner,” Tony said as he looked through a few cake design options.
Steve who was in the middle of painting something laughed. “You mean, you’re glad Pepper got us a wedding planner even though this whole thing was supposed to be a small thing because Peter despite his excitement is still just a teenage boy that knows next to nothing about weddings.”
Tony shrugged. “Sure, what you said. But I’m still glad. Anyway, people like parties. And at this rate we just really have to make a few choices and then just show up. We can even leave early if you really want. What are you painting anyway?”
“The view,” Steve said and sure enough he was. Everything outside the window had been transferred to the canvas. It wasn’t exact -- more of an abstract, but that didn’t make it any less beautiful. Tony had never really understood art or even bothered to like it -- but that didn’t mean he didn’t appreciate everything that Steve created.
His art room had filled up with more and more art since Steve had finally focused on his hobby. He wasn’t obsessive, but he spent hours painting away or sketching. It kept him entertained and Tony was happy about it. He liked that Steve had something to do that was all his own. Tony also loved watching him do it -- the concentration that he put into his art was unlike anything else. In another lifetime, it was possible that Steve would have just become some artist that everyone admired.
Tony got up. “I’ll leave you to it. I have a bit of work to finish up in the lab.”
Steve nodded. Tony pressed a kiss to his temple and walked out of the room. He found Sam and Wanda watching some odd cartoon and then spotted Vision in the kitchen.
“Hey, Viz.”
Vision and Wanda spent a lot of time on their own on their floor but it wasn’t odd to find them up in the penthouse some days. What Tony found weird about it was that Vision seemed to be more and more human-like these days. He had started dressing like a regular person a long time ago but now he seemed to not mind changing his appearance to look human. It was a little strange.
“A letter arrived for you,” Vision said.
“That’s odd,” Tony said. “We usually don’t get any mail sent up here.”
“It is possible someone brought it up and left it in the kitchen for you to find,” Vision said.
“Right,” Tony said but it all still sounded a bit odd.
Vision didn’t respond and he picked up the bowl of popcorn and went to join Wanda and Sam in the living room. The letter was in a manila envelope and Tony figured he’d take it with him, but his mind was already turning to the new designs he’d been working on. Natasha was already out of her house arrest unlike the rest of them and she’d been cleared to rejoin The Avengers officially. It also meant that she was free to do whatever Fury wanted from her and Tony wanted to give her the best gear to do that with.
The heater in the Spider-Man suit was one of the best things ever. It meant that Peter could actually patrol without feeling the brisk cold air. It had snowed a few days earlier and there was gray and dark dirty snow on the edges of most streets. Peter also found that most rooftops were covered and useless to him. But he was still out and about for a few hours.
But it turned out that when it was cold out that there wasn’t a lot of crime to go after. Not a lot of people were out unless they needed to be. Peter did save a woman from slipping on ice.
“Anything going on, Karen? I’m kind of getting bored.”
“Not that I can tell,” Karen said.
“I should have just gone and trained with Steve. I guess it’s a good thing, right, that nothing is happening.”
“I believe so, Peter.”
He swung off of a fire escape and headed towards the tower. Maybe he’d just go and actually work on his homework. There was an essay due in a few days that he should get on top of. His junior year of high school had brought along a ton more work and college was a thing that everyone was starting to get worried about. Tony liked to mention MIT in passing all the time and then May brought it up in her own way too, always hinting at how Peter would need to give up Spider-Man for it and Peter just -- he didn’t want to think about that.
He got back to the tower to find Natasha was back from a mission and sitting in the living room with Sam, Steve, Wanda, and Vision.
“Hey, Peter,” Natasha said. She had a split lip and yet she still smiled at him.
“We left you food in the kitchen,” Steve said. “We also left food for Tony if you want to bring some to him.”
“Cool. Thanks. I will.”
Food turned out to be sub sandwiches so after getting back into his normal clothes, Peter just grabbed both and went to the workshop. He was expecting to find Tony working, but instead his dad was looking at paperwork.
“Hungry?” Peter asked.
His dad turned to look at him. “Oh, you’re home. I -- I must have lost track of time.”
“What are you working on?” Peter asked.
“Nothing. Nothing. Just something that got in the mail today got me a bit distracted.” He waved his hand and the display disappeared. “Anyway, food. How was school today? Patrol?”
“Same. Not much going on.”
Tony nodded. He was oddly distracted. It made Peter worry a little. His dad only tended to get weird when something was happening.
“Did I ever tell you that I can’t actually have kids,” Tony said after they’d sat in silence eating for a while.
“No,” Peter said, not sure where the conversation was going. “I mean, maybe. I kind of think I knew that already.”
Tony nodded. “I -- it was to do with the arc reactor. Anyway, there was a time when I didn’t think that I would ever meet you or that it would make a difference because you were growing so fast and I never needed my parents when I was your age -- well, I probably did but I didn’t really have them. I guess that’s what makes more sense.”
“What are you getting at?” Peter asked. He was so confused.
Tony sighed and he wiped his mouth with a napkin and then he got up and grabbed a few sheets of paper. “A while back I applied to adopt. Sort of on a whim. Sort of because I really wanted to be a dad since at the time I couldn’t really be yours. I thought I’d never get to meet you. It takes time to adopt and I had forgotten about it just because of everything that happened. Actually -- I don’t remember if I told Steve about it. Thing is, nothing came of it and then I met you.”
Peter remembered a conversation about his dad possibly wanting other kids and how much Peter just -- he didn’t know how to feel about it. He hadn’t really let himself think about any of it especially since Tony had said he wasn’t sure if anything might happen.
“But why are you -- what’s that paper?” Peter motioned to the papers that Tony was holding.
“They want to know if I’m still interested,” Tony said.
“Oh,” Peter said.
Tony let out a breath. “I don’t think this is the right time,” Tony said. “Not for any of us.”
“Oh,” Peter said again and it was as if he didn’t know how to say anything else. He just -- he didn’t know if his dad wanted his opinion or if he was just telling Peter about it to tell him. Peter was also quite sure that he didn’t know how to feel.
It was getting closer to the end of the school year when a school trip was announced and Peter was dismayed to hear that it was a tour of SI. MJ cackled and laughed for a solid minute once she found out and just wouldn’t let it go all throughout lunch and then later when they were walking out of Midtown. Ned on the other hand seemed as excited as everyone else. The trip wasn’t for another few weeks, but Peter was already dreading it. He just knew that it wasn’t going to go well. He had kept the fact that he was living at the tower a secret from everyone including Ned and Michelle for over a year and this was going to be thing that finally revealed that to them -- he could just feel it.
“Aha, so we finally get to find out that Penis Parker has been lying about that internship all this time,” Flash said when he walked past them.
Peter rolled his eyes.
“Or prove Flash wrong,” Ned said. “This is actually really awesome. Do you think any of the Avengers will show up?”
Peter shook his head. “It’s not a trip to the living floors. Just the labs and SI. They don’t usually go down there.”
“But wouldn’t it be awesome if Flash saw you talking to them and they ignored him.”
Peter settled him with a look. “That’s not going to happen, Ned.”
When he got back home, he almost hesitated to mention the whole thing. He was going to have to get May to sign the permission slip since she was still his guardian, but if Peter was going to go -- and he really couldn’t not without giving ammunition to Flash to make fun of him with -- he was going to have to make sure that he did appear to be an intern at SI. Peter couldn’t remember the last time he had gone down to those floors of the building. He assumed that the trip was going to be geared towards the R&D rooms. Maybe he could get Pepper to help him out with making his story seem legitimate.
He ran into Steve as he was getting out of the elevator.
“Hey, Peter,” Steve said. “Not patrolling today?”
“I might go out later,” Peter said and followed Steve to the kitchen where Sam was in the middle of taking cookies out of the oven.
“Well we were planning on a movie if you want to join,” Sam said.
“Yeah, I will,” Peter said. It offered for the perfect distraction. He would figure out what he was going to do about the trip later.

Bonding||Self-Para
Tumblr media
It had been a long night for the Anderson-Clarington family. After a few hours of coaxing, Robbie had managed to tuck Cooper under his chin and carry him out of his office. He had texted Blaine to meet them at the house, thankful that the younger Anderson had taken it upon himself to buy a car seat of his own. Robbie had to admire the commitment that he was taking as an uncle. He knew there was something special in the bond between uncle and nephew.
As they got home, Robbie focused on getting a passed out Cooper out of his clothes while Blaine got Zach ready for bed. Once Robbie got his fiance tucked into bed, he walked the younger Anderson out of the house and thanked him for everything before locking the door. He went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water before heading back up the stairs to the bedroom.
He hadn’t even so much as sat down on the bed before he noticed two pairs of eyes on him. He almost had to laugh at the sight before him: Zach had managed to pull himself up by the side of the crib and was looking at him expectantly. “If it’s not one of you avoiding sleep, it’s the other, isn’t it,” he mumbled softly as he set the water on the bedside table. He walked over quietly to the crib, standing there for a moment and looking down at the big brown eyes staring back at him.
“Come on then,” he said quietly, bending down to pick him up gently and settling him against his hip. “It’s late, Zach Attack, we need to get you to sleep. You’re the one who’s supposed to get an ungodly amount of sleep right now.”
He walked down the stairs slowly, still feeling paranoid about carrying a little infant down. He’d never been afraid of tripping on them before, but when he literally had another life in his hands....well, that was a different story.
He grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch as he walked past, the movement disturbing the two pups that had just settled on the couch. Dodger immediately went to follow him, though Penny stayed behind, looking up at him. “Pen, I think Dad needs you up there,” he said softly. He knew that Penny couldn’t actually understand him, but the way she hauled ass up the stairs immediately made him second guess himself.
He continued walking out onto the deck, shifting Zach closer to him as the chilled night air settled around them as he walked towards the hammock. It wasn’t so unbearable, though, especially after he switched on the small space heater next to them. Dodger settled underneath the hammock as Robbie gingerly laid them down and draped the blanket on top of them.
He looked back at Zach, who was still staring back at him. He had to be thankful that the boy had at least gotten used to him, if nothing else. It had been a hard week, with Ellie going back home and the boy getting used to his new environment. He took the fact that he wasn’t being screamed at as a good sign.
Robbie could tell that the boy was tired, seeing as his usual energy was radiating off him as normal. He could only assume that he was refusing sleep, something that seemed to run in the family.
“So,” he mused. “I know how to tire your dad out enough to pass out, but I guess now is an experiment to see what it takes for you.” He paused for a moment, bringing his knees up so the young boy could lean against them. “I mean, I could just talk for a while, bore you to sleep,” he said with a small chuckle. “I could teach you how to dab, though I think Cooper would kill me if I took that away from him. Not to mention I’m not sure how effective it’d be.”
He sighed softly as he shrugged. “I’m trying to remember what my Dad did when I had nights like this. Granted, that was ages ago. Obviously, I don’t remember from first hand experience. You don’t really remember things that happen when you’re a baby. Just like you won’t remember this night at all.”
“My mom would tell me though. Later in life, I mean. I was a fussy baby, apparently. Dad was the only one who could calm me down and make me get to sleep. He would turn me into a plane, reenact some of the famous battles of the World Wars. Kept it PG, of course, and that would be enough to make me laugh, to stop crying. Then he’d just walk me around the room until I had no other choice but to sleep.”
He slipped his thumbs into Zach’s hands and waved them back and forth, the boy still staring at him, a little lost but Robbie could appreciate the attention. “I wish you would’ve gotten the chance to meet him. He liked to sound tough a lot but he was a big softie; he’s where part of your name comes from too, you know. I wish he was here too, ‘cause then I could ask him how-” he was cut off as a pair of hands launched themselves into his beard.
He paused for a moment before cracking a laugh. “I was trying to have a moment here!” he said through his chuckles. He closed his lips around his teeth and nipped at Zach’s hands, illiciting a squeal from the small boy. Robbie let his laughs fade out as he looked at the boy, seeing every bit of Cooper in him, though also catching the small glimpses of Ellie underneath.
But for the first time that week, after pulling Cooper out of the depths again, Robbie was determined to see himself there too. He sighed softly, carefully getting out of the hammock, turning off the heater and walking them back inside. Dodger immediately went back to the couch, though Robbie lingered in the hallway, walking to the small group of photos that were hanging there.
“That’s him,” he said softly, as he pointed to a picture of his father. “See? Looks scary, but then you remember that he was just barely as tall as your Dad, and he’s not so bad,” he chuckled, moving on to the next picture. “That’s Sarah, your aunt,” he said quickly, letting the use of the titles help him make this seem more normal, “and your cousin, Gabe. Gabe’s a maniac, but he’s a good kid. It wouldn’t surprise me if you know the name of every dinosaur in existence by the time you’re two. Also, it’s a good thing they live on the other side of the country or you would be getting so spoiled.”
He pointed to the next one as Zach laid his head on Robbie’s shoulder, his little hand fisting in the man’s shirt. “That’s Hunter,” he said, pointing out the man in the family photo as he gently leaned his head against the boy’s. “Honestly, he’s a hard one to keep up with, but he’s family, and I think a good uncle to have. If I know either him or your uncle Blaine at all, those two would probably fight to the death for the title of ‘World’s Greatest Uncle’. I’ve already been through it with Hunt when it comes to Gabe,” he chuckled.
He stopped at the next picture, sighing softly at the image of his mother. “And you’ve met Mom,” he said softly. “She loves you, don’t worry, I don’t want the tension from last week to scare you. She’s just...worried. It’s a weird situation. But I think it’ll work out okay. See, the thing with your Dad and I....nothing about us has ever been normal; we’ve had to make our own normal. It’ll be a fun story to tell you one day, but honestly, how we had our first child....well, why should that be normal?”
He heard a labored breath under his chin, and he knew that that meant the boy had fallen asleep. He smiled softly and walked back over to the couch, tossing the blanket back down. With a finally pat to Dodger’s head, Robbie slowly made his way back up the stairs. He placed the boy gently back in his crib and pulled the blanket over him. He leaned against the side of the crib and watched him for a moment. He leaned over and kissed his head gently and sighed. “I do love you, kiddo. We’ll hit a rhythm, I promise.”
He tapped the crib lightly with his knuckle before stepping back and glancing over at Cooper. He smiled to himself as he noticed the man had already star-fished. He stripped down to just his t-shirt and boxers before crawling into bed, mindful of Penny as she moved to compensate him. He reached over and scratched behind her ears, kissing her head softly before laying back. Instead of curling on his side, though, he nudged his way under Cooper’s arm and wrapped one of his own around the other’s waist.
The house was quiet, but with his fiance next to him, his dogs in their respective places, and his son across the room, it was home. And that’s what Robbie held onto as he drifted off to sleep.

How did Singlar lose his wife? Did he feel he lost her through his own negligence or ineptitude, or does he blame someone else for her death? Has he ever considered looking for a way to bring her back from the dead? Would he ever consider that?
(Thanks for the ask, @calabren-iarian !)
THIS IS LARGELY MY FAVORITE THING TO TRY AND WRITE??? It came out in an rp AGES ago with Singlar’s mun, and he was like (oocly) “what if you were my wife but I thought I’d lost you?” during a really sad part of an rp. It ripped my heart out and it’s been that way forever.
It’s evolved from something akin to screaming into the void to something else less screamy.
Singlar was pretty young as a dwarf – few decades old, probably 60 or so – and he was out exploring with his older brother, Kóri. They were out, being stupid “young” guys, when they came upon a night elf village. They weren’t used to meeting any of the other races beyond dwarves, gnomes, and humans, and the elves were… gorgeous, to say the least. Kóri would joke at Singlar about “staring too long,” but as a young paladin, the starlight that emanated from their eyes was intoxicating.
Though he and his brother left the village after a particularly bad cold snap (it was only like a few days before the weather opened up), Singlar had developed a major crush on the elf that would become his wife. It took maybe ten years before they actually got married, and they stayed that way for almost 80 years (so he’d be roughly 150-160 when she “died”). They’d made a home in the mountain ranges between Mount Hyjal/Felwood/Winterspring, and they were pretty happy.
Emerald Dream portals would open randomly though, and the village they lived in believed they were well defended, so no one left. Singlar left to go visit his brother in Ironforge (for some business) and left Zaha’a alone at their home. When Singlar returned a few weeks later, it was a gory mess: the village was reduced to smoldering ash, fresh corpses of elves and worgen were everywhere, and Singlar couldn’t find his wife anywhere among the survivors. So, he thought she’d perished.
For another 90+ years, he held a hatred for elves and worgen (and anyone that could turn into one tbh). He blamed himself for staying too long in Ironforge, for not taking the first boat and being delayed by a few extra hours, for not bringing his wife along in the first place.
Since there wasn’t anything left of her – possessions, body, even a photo – Singlar was left with nothing of his wife, but her visage haunted him every day for nearly 50 years. He went and drank himself nearly to death, until the kingdoms of men started asking for the other races to help build up their cities. He spent the next few decades working, drinking, sleeping with everyone, and refusing to allow himself to grieve or let go of his anger. He got sick, and sicker, and sickest of all when the orcs invaded Azeroth. He was one of the first to put his skills into the armies for the Alliance, and used it as an excuse to shed blood.
(Even that left him so very hollow inside, and it did not feel good to watch the blood go down the drain after a battle.)
When his commanders realized what he was doing, he was sent to Silithus to keep the supply chains there flowing for the Alliance and keep them as long as possible from the Horde. It was only when he touched down in Stormwind and was given the orders to go did he see Ahilyah for the first (and only) time fully decked out in her commander’s armor – at the time, he didn’t know she was his commander and was pretty awful to her, but she let it slide – as they were both introduced to the other members of their team.
All seven of them left to go to Silithus. Eventually, after battles and literal years spent in the bug-infested cesspool, everyone but Singlar and Ahilyah died or were transferred. They didn’t get any other teammates, and it was just them holding down an entire outpost.
They grew comfortable, enough to drink and sleep in the same room together (more for camaraderie than anything else), and eventually they started sharing their lives. She told him about her explorations and commander school, he told her how it was to grow up in the heart of a mountain; he explained paladin teachings (that he often scoffed at in the same breath of whispering his prayers to the Light), she explained beautiful and terrifying worlds beyond their touch that only a few could (or would) ever see. They were friends.
Between fighting the Horde and the old god worshippers and the bugs, Ahilyah was often given secret missions that they’d go and usually sabotage Horde encampments (”don’t explain anything to me, and I’ll have no questions to ask,” Singlar would tell her), but one time there was a month of nothing. Singlar asked if the war was over, if they’d be released from this Hell and they’d finally go their separate ways; she explained she’d already been given her orders, and had been given plenty of mail about not completing it yet.
When he asked why they hadn’t gone out to do “another get-this, kill-that” mission, she explained it wasn’t that type of mission anymore. It was supposed to have them go outside of the combat zone and kill any and every Horde village nearby. She had twenty-four hours to respond, or she’d be court marshaled, judged by the king and his peers, and executed. (She still didn’t know which part of the kingdom this order came from, but it had an official seal. She had asked the high command for a repeat of the orders, but she never got one – so, she stayed put, mostly because of her morals and also because she didn’t believe it was a real King Varian-stated order.)
They had a screaming match due to misunderstandings until she screamed something in anger – basically “you’re such a stupid dwarf, I can’t believe I put up with you for so many centuries” – and he was like “????what????”
And then they had a very awkward reveal that she was his wife.
He was angry, hurt, confused, and felt like he wanted to throw up. He ended up camping out in the next outpost over, thinking everything over.
Ahilyah never did the mission. At this point the Alliance basically forgot about Silithus as the Legion expac started, King Wrynn dying, and the other Alliance leaders straining under Anduin’s leadership. He came back after fighting on the Broken Shore for a while (she was in Suramar for a time), but they went back to Silithus when the Broken Isles were secure.
Days before the Sargeras skewering of the world, they started to talk about things. Though Anduin’s reign was much different than his father’s, their relationship would never be able to heal. Silithus was going to be released so the people there could refocus elsewhere in the world, but so far it was just a waiting process.
They were on their way out of the zone (near the northern mountain range) when the sword came down. The group they were traveling with were able to get into a nearby cave, but it turned out to be a straight view of the valley; they’d be burned alive if the shockwave didn’t kill them.
And being stupid, Singlar kind of just stood in front of Ahilyah as they curled up in the corner of the cavern while Silithus erupted in flames. In the last few seconds before the flames hit them, he was like, “I wasted years over you.” And she just had to tell him to choose: the anger, or a clear future.
When the shockwave hit, everything exposed to the flames was horribly burned.  Chunks of Azerite were thrown into bodies of people, killing some instantly due to the intense high while others were in severe agony. The dwarves and gnomes that sat in the cavern came out completely different, half infused with this rock that deformed their bodies but also gave them immense strengths they hadn’t had before.
Ahilyah ends up with horrible burns/scars across the right side of her body (and flecks on her left). The warrior’s right eye glows like the Azurite does, and parts of her scars sometimes glow if she gets too enraged. She goes into blind rages whenever she loses control of herself, going into a frenzy due to the Azerite in her system.
For Singlar, he’s got these giant rocks (kinda like the rock giants in Deepholm?) sticking out of his back, pulsing every time his heart beats. His eyes turn from an ice blue to brilliant gold, and the veins along his body pulse the same color. He’s got burns along the skin that isn’t infused with Azerite, and the back of his head/neck have diamonds/Azerite crystal hybrids growing out of it.
(The other dwarves and gnomes come out looking similar to Singlar, only with their own molecular type – some have sandstone/Azerite, sapphire/Azerite, etc. Each one’s experiences with the Azerite infusion range wildly to “this sucks” to “what could go wrong?”)
((I want to make an entire post about what gnomes, dwarves, goblins, and (maybe) humans taking baths in this stuff would do to them (being descendants of the Titan constructs and all), since the initial “explosion” can’t really be recreated. So it’ll just add to that layer of “well this might actually suck for us” by being so dependent on Azerite.))

Ok so this is really obscure, but I've had this idea for a while now, and I'd love to see you work with it? Headcanons for a time travel AU in which Peter Parker is messing with Stark Tech and gets sent back to the 1940s? He could work with Peggy Carter in the SSR to solve the case and pretend to be her little brother. Plus in 2017 Tony and Steve working together to get him back. If you think it's weird or want to skip it no worries! If not, then thank you so much, I love your headcanons!!
i love this concept so much you dont even know?? but also okay i realized abt halfway through these 2.5k+ words that this wasnt exactly what you asked for and i feel kinda bad about that but i hope you still like it all the same!! also i wanna say thank you for thinking of me for this prompt im super flattered????
- peter wasnt technically supposed to be in the 4th basement of stark tower
- technically he was on his lunch break and was supposed to be using said time to both eat and work on his spanish homework
- but he'd heard these whispers from a couple of the older interns about some of the old stuff that mr. stark had thrown down there because he never had time to finish them and peter had an idea
- see, he's been wanting to move up a bit, have mr. stark trust him a little more, and what's better then maybe taking one of his old designs and making it better and making it work
- so thats why he's in the fourth basement of stark tower, trying to remember if he's had his tetanus shot because some of this stuff is seriously Old
- and then he stumbles onto this little pyramid shaped....doohickey
- its the only thing in 4 floors of Things that doesnt have a label or a file or a crude drawing taped to the front of it so now peter is Officially Curious
- he kinda fiddles with it for a few minutes until his phone beeps with his 'hey pete youre gonna be super late getting back to work again' alarm and he about drops this thing on the floor because like everyday the alarm scares him to death
- but because hes clumsy and because hes pete he actually does drop it and everything goes black
- but everything's fine because he wakes right back up and he's pretty sure that he electrocuted himself but thats happened dozens of times so he picks himself up and brushes himself off and realizes that he may have been out longer than he thought because theres fewer boxes in the room than before and geez his head hurts
- "are you quite alright?"
- oh god he mustve hit his head harder than he thought because that looks like
- "m-miss carter, no sorry, ma'am? oh, oh god i'm so sorry that was so rude, agent? agent ma'am?"
- "this is howard's fault isnt it"
- "howard? as in....oh god oh god"
- "do you know where you are?"
- peter parker loved a lot of things and one of those things was museums and one of those museums in particular had an exhibit on a certain mr. rogers and adjacent to that exhibit was a small plaque about the woman standing in front of him and oh god he was going to hyperventilate and throw up in front of a literal legend and hero at the same time
- "remind me to kill him later. right now lets get you something warm to drink, yes? maybe some new clothes, youre looking a little singed"
- flash forward half an hour and he's sitting in front of the agent carter sipping at some terribly bitter coffee while she pursed and unpursed her lips a few times
- (annnnd time skip back to present day)
- friday: mr stark theres a woman downstairs beating on the door asking for youtony, 47 names going through his head: ...go on
- enter may parker, in her pjs, fire in her eyes, carrying on the legacy of brunette women ready to end a stark's life
- "it is ten o'clock on a school night, i've talked to ned, i've talked to mj and liz, i've talked to every corner sub shop owner, i even had a nice long chat with pepper, yet no one could tell me anything so you better have answers as to where my nephew is anthony"
- and in that moment, tony stark's life flashed before his eyes
- "hey, friday, where is the kid?"
- "peter's vitals havent been detected since 1:32pm on floor D"
- tony: fu-
- (back to pete and peggy)
- so he's quickly caught her up on the gist of whats going on (aka he told her he's from 2017 ny and hed really just like to go home) and she's taking it surprisingly well, all nodding and hmm-ing and cursing howard stark under her breath, kinda how may is when tony does like.. anything
- but now shes leading him through their super secret base and he's trying not to stare because, has he mentioned, hes literally standing next to peggy carter
- "right, well, here's your cot. if you need anything, dugan can help you. he's that one, there, with the cigar. you get some rest and i'll find howard and see if we cant get your...issue squared away. oh, and whatever you do, dont accept anything dernier tries to give you, you've already blown up once today, i dont think you can afford another"
- present day
- tony's been working through the night, a marginally-more-than-slightly disgruntled may beside him, and an even-more-than-marginally-more-than-slightly peeved happy beside her
- ("how do you lose a teenage boy, tony" happy moans to his phone when he wakes up and sees all the missed calls and texts he has)
- good news: it only took like 2 1/2 hours and three shots of espresson for tony to figure out what happened to peter
- bad news: it wasnt even a Tony Stark Exclusive Design, it was a Howard Stark One-Time Use That Was Actually A Malfunction Design, he'd had several more coffees that werent even close to being strong enough, and he had a growing black eye from the punch may landed before happy could pull her away and calm her down (maybe that last part should be in the good news column)
- "so he's just stuck in the 40s alone, then" may surmises, rubbing at the tension headache in her temples
- tony doesnt respond because at this point he needs his other eye for miracle working and depth perception
- "well, probably not alone," happy begins. "i catalogued everything in that level, and that stuff came from one of howard's london facilities, so it was probably calibrated for that time, so he's probably with-"
- tony: "hap, please dont finish that sentence"
- may: "1940s london. so he's with steve, then, safe. with captain america. okay, i can handle that."
- tony: "no, ah, a little later than capsicle, probably"
- may: "so not safe with captain america"
- happy: "safe with agent carter, more likely"
- pete and peggy
- good news: pete made it through the night without being blown up by the howling commandoes
- bad news: once howard was finally located and sobered up, he explained that he hadnt built that particular device yet, so peter was kinda stuck
- peter wasnt coping well
- "i have a spanish test tomorrow! and a trig test on friday! and i'm supposed to hang out with ned on saturday, and then may's gonna kill me when i dont show up for sunday dinner, and shes gonna kill me in general because i never checked in because holy shit i never checked in!"
- howard: peggy he's crying what do i do
- peggy: do i have to do everything myself
- she advances on peter and takes his chin in her hand, locking eyes with him: peter, you know who i am, dont you?
- he nods as best as he can
- "then you must know that i'm going to do everything in my power and then some to get you back home, dont you?"
- "yes ma'am"
- "good. go take a walk while i talk to howard, and if anyone asks, youre my american brother in for a short visit." and then she pats him on the cheek and his soul kinda ascends then and there because agent carter just patted him on the cheek AND gave him permission to tell people he's her brother
- so he goes to take his walk but the thing is when he gets anxious, he likes to fiddle with the loose legos he keeps under his bed, building and rebuilding tiny structures to help ease his nerves
- needless to say, he's an Absolute Nervous Wreck while he waits for some kind of something from peggy or howard and there arent any legos to keep him busy
- so he kind of takes that walk right on down to the lab and starts poking around because even if he is a certified nervous wreck he's also thr most inquisitive little shit that ever did walk the earth
- peggy finds him two hours later with a pair of loose fitting goggles on his forehead, his sweater sleeves pushed up to his elbows, and some . substance on his hands
- "please dont tell me youre somehow howard's long lost son too," she says, taking his appearance in
- he shakes his head as the beakers in front of him emit a puff of green smoke directly into his already scrunched up face "no ma'am; it's just that mr. stark kinda has me on desk duty and never lets me get my hands dirty so i like to take every oppurtunity i can get"
- she nods, "good, because howard needs you to describe what you remember of the device, and then you and i are going to begin the slog through the logistics of it all"
- "ooooookay"
- which is how peter parker ends up sitting across from peggy carter, the both of them scribbling extremely advanced mathematics onto yellowing sheets of paper as howard stark tinkered with some spare parts he had lying around as he tried to construct a crude rendering of the device
- peggy mostly doesnt talk, actually, she hasnt spoken since explaining that shed picked her math skills up on an assignment shed once had where she learned she actually loved numbers and then howard had been letting her do calculations for him in her free time
- peter was too impressed to respond bc from what he gathered she'd only been on that mission for six months and she didnt have much free time which meant she'd had to pick it all up FAST
- anyway, they got at that for hours, until peter cant keep his eyes open and even howard is dwindling; peggy waves them both off to bed but stays and keeps scribbling away
- they repeat that routine for 3 days
- on the 5th night, after she waves them off, peter goes to his cot and he tosses and turns for hours, listening to the commandoes play poker and crack jokes, but he cant sleep
- finally he gets up and just starts walking, anywhere his feet take him
- coincidentally, his feet take him past what he quickly realizes is peggy's room
- "peter why are you still up? is everything all right?" she asks, pulling off these big hulking glasses that made him incredibly homesick because she reminds him so much of may in that moment, big glasses on, hunched over a book in her lap, hair pulled back out of her face
- and he apologizes, but she Knows something's terribly wrong, so she gets up and ushers him away from her doorway, and leads him down a hall or two and then theyre standing in an open space, and she's looking at him like shes trying to solve one of her equations
- "do you know how to throw a punch, peter"
- " whatever youre thinking i dont think its a good idea we dont have any gear and i dont want to get hurt-"
- she shakes her head and asks again, and he finally answers with a kinda
- "'kinda' will get you hurt; watch me" and she begins to demonstrate a few slow punches and he follows her movements and tries to copy them but hes a little sloppy but its ok because she corrects him and finally theyre just standing beside one another counting out punches when she asks "whats on your mind"
- and he doesnt even hesitate he just lets loose everything, how much he misses may and how terrible he feels that he cant get in touch with her, how much he misses ned and mj and liz, how much he misses his fire escape and the deli on the corner and the buildings and then he's crying again, but she gracefully doesnt point it out
- once he's done spitting out everything thats bothering him she gets this kind of sad smile and says, "you remind me of a man i knew. he cared so much about his friends, sometimes to the point of not even worrying about himself, whuch meant he was always in some sort of trouble, as you can imagine. but he always found his way out of a problem, even if he was the one who created it." she laughs slightly then. "i guess what i'm getting at is even if i cant get you back home, even if howard cant, i believe that youll figure it out."
- "are you comparing me to captain anerica right now because i'm already crying and i dont think i can take much more" he says through sniffles, his arms slack by his sides now
- she smiles and nods, keeping her stance, and peter feels an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this amazing woman who immediately helped him without much of a pause and who's made sure he was okay for the past 5 days and who's up at god knows what time showing him how to throw a punch and being his borderline therapist and he just wants to give her something in return
- "im not sure if im supposed to do this, because for all i know it could tear a hole in the fabric of time and space but i really want to show you this," he begins, pulling his wallet put of his pocket.
- he flicks the little photo holders out and theres may, and theres ned and mj and liz, and theres that cat he found that one time, and theres him and tony, and there, at the bottom, is the time he officially met steve after the whole fight thing and all
- "this was taken a couple months ago; well, a couple months for me, it's decades from now, but here," and he holds out his wallet for her to see and she looks over the photo curiously before she understands and a tear slips down her cheek and she smiles the most grand smile
- "thank you, peter" and she passes the wallet back and puts her hand on his shoulder and says "i promise i'll have you home in time for sunday dinner"
- and she does

Sing For Me - Fred Weasley X Reader
A/N: This’ll be my first imagine in this account. There were no requests this just came to my mind.
P.S Oh and near the ending please listen to the song 🎶Near or Far by Us The Duo but in the cover of Jess Conte🎶
—–
Today is like any other day in Hogwarts. Bright sunny day, leaves swaying on top of the trees and class going smoothly.
….Or maybe not.
“Stop it!” You whisper-screamed at him. Earning only a teasing smile from your boyfriend Fred. He keeps on sending you flying notes on your seat that just says random letters everytime Snape isnt looking. You tried to ignore it but everytime you do the parchment just bumps with your head before falling limply on your desk leaving you with no choice but to glare and look at his way.
You were just praying for Snape not to notice the flying notes in the room. You swore you’ve had enough of Fred and his disturbance eversince your 1st subject with him today. What is up with him??
You finally gave up, closed your eyes and sighed as annoyance took you in. You bewitched the parchment paper to be caught on fire, only y/f/n accidentally nudged your arm and accidentally Snape’s cloak caught on fire.
Snape grunted in surprise and put out the fire with a spell. Your eyes grew wide and panic began to swell in you.
“Who.. was.. responsible.. for this?!” Snape asked with venom on his tongue. Before he could even finish his sntebce you are alreasy readying your coffin.. just in case. You cursed Fred mentally. Suddenly all eyes were on you and Snape pursed his lips as you found the voice to speak. “I-I’m sorry, Professor. I-I did'nt mea–”
Snape held his hand up to stop you from talking. “Well, I suppose it wouldnt hurt to have four hours of detention tonight will it, Miss y/l/n?” You were speechless and your mouth hang open in shock. FOUR HOURS?! ‘Merlin, that’s exhausting! And I wouldnt even be attending Quidditch practice tonight! The championship is in 3 days!!’
When you didnt answer, Snape looked at you in the eye and raised his left brow. “Y-yes, Professor, m-most certainly.”
———-
After Potions you quickly get out of the room. Fred, trying to catch you in the sea of students rushing out of the room, came running towards you while calling your name. “Y/n! Y/n!” He finally reached you and tapped your shoulder; hearing him panting. “Blimey, love, I’m really sor–” “Get lost.” You said whilst giving him a stoic expression on your face and stalked away from him.
It isn’t entirely his fault why you had to have detention with Snape and you know that your friend has a fault too but he was the root of it all! If he hadnt just bugged you so much you wouldnt have dared to send him a burning parchment paper.
———-
At dinner you saw Angelina, Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, and walked up to her. “I’m sorry, Angelina, I know, I know, it’s just this once I promise. I’ll be on the field tomorrow.” You told her pleadingly. She just sighed and said “Fine. But tomorrow is tomorrow.” And she walked away.
After talking with Angelina, Fred tried to approach you but you pulled your friend faster to the other end of the Gryffindor table and sat, ignoring Fred. He did feel guilty. He just want to let you know he was really sorry.
“Ugh" You sat down on the dining table beside y/f/n, putting both your hands on your face. "I still can’t believe I’m having four hours of detention!” You ranted to y/f/n. "I know. And I'm really sorry about what happened. It's partially my fault." He/she said. "I dont blame you. Don't worry. Though, really you were a part of it" you said as you look at him/her and smiled. He/she just brushed it off, shook his/her head and laughed.
———-
It was finally time to go to the dungeons. You were right, you are to clean a rather quite large room without using magic.
“If you are done with time to spare you will spend another detention with me tomorrow night to complete the four hours. Do you understand?” Then Snape gave you the cleaning materials. “Yes, Professor.” Snape turned his heel away and closed the heavy door. ‘Well then… I just have to work slow. I cant manage to have detention again tomorrow.’ You thought to yourself. You sighed and start scrubbing the floor.
It would just be quite easy since your mother is a muggleborn and you know bits on how to clean without using magic. Only, Snape came back after a few minutes and ordered you to remove too, the rust from the metal things inside the room. And that made you even grumpier than you already are.
———-
Walking back to the Common Room was hardwork. Your legs strained from having to stand for hours dusting the tall cabinets and paintings. You found the warmth and the atmosphere of the common room peaceful so you decided to just sleep there instead of going up to your dorm room(which would add to your leg strain). You lay at the sofa and plopped a pillow under you head. In no time you fell asleep.
Fred came down from his dorm room to check on Y/n in the dungeons when he noticed a figure laying down in the sofa. He moved closer to it. When he recognized his girlfriend’s face he sat before her and softly touched her hair and cheeks. He felt more guilty than he did earlier that day. She looked so delicate with the orange light coming from the fireplace. He kissed her forehead as Y/n opened her eyes sleepily and stared at the man before her.
Fred smiled sheepishly at her. She doesnt feel angry at him anymore instead she just want to hug him until she falls asleep. “Love, I’m sorry. I really am. I was an idiot. I shoul–” “Ssshhh.. I’m not mad at you anymore.” You closed your eyes and began drifting off to sleep when you felt arms around your body carrying you.
Fred had brought you to his dorm room placing you gently on his bed. You felt him silently getting to bed beside you, wrapping his arms around your waist while he caress your hair and nose. You slowly opened your eyes and said “Fred?” He looked you in the eyes and smiled a little “Yes, love?” “Could you sing for me?” He blinked a few times before he processed what you asked of him “What..?” “You heard me. Please?” You asked smiling a bit. He chuckled to himself and brought his lips to your nose. “Well then, I don’t guarantee that my voice will bring you good dreams.” You chuckled. “Just a precaution” And he kissed your nose again.
“*cough* *cough*” Fred then started singing quietly
🎶I’m here you’re there but your love is with me everywhere I go this i know I’m near you’re far. Drivin’ away in your little car but my love will follow you everywhere🎶 He paused to take your hand and kiss it.
🎶Best believe I’ll make mistakes but love won’t stop it has no breaks🎶 He then kissed your forehead.
🎶So don’t you worry ‘bout a thing you had my heart you had it from the start🎶 And finally kissed your lips.
All throughout the song you can’t help but smile. Was this really the guy who put you to detention? Your tiredness seemed to be sipping away with his words and touch.
“Don’t worry, Y/n, next time I will make sure you won’t be the only one getting detention.” He smiled then winked at you.
A/N: I hope you like this! ❤ I don’t own the music but the writing is mine. I changed the order of the lyrics a bit but it’s still the original.
