Most of my thoughts about the Barbie movie boil down to:
Why do we need this when Life in the Dreamhouse already exists?
#i feel like a show by adults aimed at children is going to have a much more fun and well-rounded viewpoint#than a movie aimed at 20-to-30 something childless urban feminists#and all the promo material seems to prove it#there's a certain self-satisfied edginess that puts my teeth on edge#and it seems to lack any signs of anything truly clever or fun#just a sophomoric viewpoint that lacks either true maturity or childlike innocence#i was gonna leave this in my drafts but the uptick in pre-premiere content on my dash is bringing the thought to mind too often#i went further into negativity in the tags than i intended to#if the movie looks fun to you enjoy yourself i just severely doubt i'll be among your number
