THE GRAMMYS AKA IT'S SAGI SEASON, I GUESS?
With Moon transiting Sagittarius during the night of the Grammy awards, all the archers in the room sweeped their awards and stole the show⌠for good and for bad. That night Mercury ingressed into Aquarius, making its conjunction with Pluto so the drama has to be present and it's still an active discourse on social media.
Miley's first Grammy
This year Miley won her first Grammy (two, actually). The massive delay in her receiving an award might be linked to her having Saturn in the 10th house natally. Her Saturn return ended a year ago so it only fits that now's the time for her to solidify her work and have an offical stamp of approval.
Let's look at her transits for the night. She's in her Jupiter-ruled profection year so Jupiter transits will be crucial for her. The planet of luck is currently transiting Taurus - her 1st whole sign house and the house of her natal lot of fortune. It's in a relatively close degree to her Capricorn Venus, making a supportive trine. On top of that, she actually just went through her Venus return in the 9th house so we get somewhat of a double whammy for her.
This is what Billie was made for...
Now let's look at Billie Eilish, who's been sweeping awards pretty much since she released her first album but her chart is worth looking at as well. First of all, her having both Sun and Venus in her 10th house next to the MC should already tell us that she has, in fact, very high chances of being recognized by people in authority - so, the music academy as well - and just being generally liked and positively received. And speaking of the 10th house, last year she went through her 10th house profection year in Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter in her natal 5th. And during this time she created something that will be remembered by a lot of people. Pretty neat.
Currently she's in her 11th house profection year. She has Mercury in that house in Capricorn so transiting Jupiter is trining it by sign. And, just like Miley, Billie has her lot of fortune in Taurus as well. Very interesting. Look out for Jupiter transiting the sign of your lot of fortune then!
In terms of the song itself. The general story was that she felt a massive creative block and she was afraid she won't write anything interesting ever again but then her and Finneas forced themselves to sit on a Barbie song and it came out just like that. Now, I've managed to catch an ig story from her, celebrating an anniversary of when they wrote it: it was January 16-17th 2023, only one day before Mercury stationed direct and a few days after Mars stationed direct. That should speak for itself when it comes to any type of a creative block as retrograde planets can often make you feel stuck.
I think no matter what, her Venus on the MC will always shine through and she will keep on presenting that venusian grace and beauty through her craft. Creative blocks should be no enemy for her as this is what she was made for.
Taylor wins an award but looses in the eyes of people
Taylor Swift won album of the year. She seems to win almost every time she's nominated so she's clearly one of the Grammy favorites. But what is interesting is that, just like Miley and Billie, she has her lot of fortune in⌠you've guessed it, Taurus! I think just having the lot being ruled by a benefic planet is the first step to success.
She also has a Capricorn inner planet and that is Mercury at 8° - so again, Jupiter is currently making a trine. And on top of that, Mercury is her time lord for the year since she's in her 11th house profection in Virgo. She's also receiving a very supportive trine from Saturn to her natal Jupiter, which generally supports her being recognized during this time.
BUT. I've mentioned that the night of the ceremony Mercury entered Aquarius and got dangerously close to Pluto. This was the first and one of the many coming hits of Pluto charged with other planets to Taylor's natal Venus, which sits right at the very beginning of the sign. And there was drama and the drama will continue and I do believe this it the beginning of something bigger for her. Pluto can bring polarities, it can bring massive success and clout but it can also bring a huge downfall. I honestly doubt someone who sells out stadiums would suddenly loose their popularity but as many people have said since the Grammys, some sort of veil has been lifted and I'm suspecting more and more people will start point fingers at her and her actions: from acting inappropriate and being egocentric to things like contributing to carbon footprint or being silent when it comes to global and socio-political issues. So sure, Pluto on her Venus might make her even more rich (I know she still has the european leg of the tour left) but she may as well loose face at the same time.
Mercury in Sagittarius is strong with Jay-Z
Now another Sagittarius I wanted to tackle is Jay-Z, who, in his Sagi Mercury fashion, said what everyone wanted to say and threw a massive shade at the Grammy voting system and just... them being shite in general. We're not 100% sure of his birth time and his transits don't necessary scream "WINNER!" at this time BUT: if he is, in fact, a Virgo rising, his time lord for the year is Jupiter and currently Jupiter would transit his 9th house, where his Saturn is in Taurus. That is still very supportive as 9th house is one of the houses of the greats and Jupiter transiting over Saturn honors the legacy and achievements - and that is what he was recognized for with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award.
Let's quickly discuss some other non-Sagi winners
Victoria MonÊt won in a cuple of categories. She's a Leo rising with Sun in⌠Taurus in the 10th house. So, once again, Jupiter did its thing.
SZA was also among the winners. She has quite a few planets in her 10t house so I feel like either way success is guaranteed for her. When it comes to transits, Jupiter did influence her as well: trining Capricorn Venus and Saturn, opposing her Scorpio placements and sextiling her Moon and Jupiter. She is also in a Jupiter-ruled profection year. Interestingly, she debuted a new song titled "Saturn". Very fitting for an Aquarius rising.
Jack Antonoff being the goat
Actually he's a double ram but his Jupiter is⌠up on the highest heights of MC in Capricorn. So, a literal goat as well⌠slowly climbing to success.
His chart does scream "CREATIVITY!!!!" (an exalted Venus? A cardinal rising? An Aries stellium? Being born on a New Moon? What else do you need?). His chart is also very strong- and stable-looking. He's been awarded for quite a few things over the years, which, with planetary placements like these, it makes total sense for him to be one of the favorites. This year, the supportive trine from Jupiter to his natal Jupiter was just an extra dose of help in receiving a Grammy. This, as well as a transiting stellium through his 10th house.
The snub of the night?
Considering the amount of nominations for this year's awards, the biggest snub seems to be Olivia Rodrigo. So let's take a look at her chart. Interestingly - and at this point I am no longer surprised - her lot of fortune is also in Taurus with the ruler Venus in Capricorn. Her time lord for the year is Mercury and her natal Mercury is in Aquarius - currently squared by Jupiter. In her case, that square from a benefic can cause more harm than good, since she has a natal oppositions of thse two planets. This tense transit can actually unleash unnecessary hate and preachiness towards her. Saturn is still hanging near her Sun, which obviously can dampen things a lot. So, she seemed to have a great 2023 but some things are not quite perfect after all.
Let's compare it to 2022's Grammys to see transits for her big wins that year. Jupiter was still in Pisces, where her natal Sun is and that Sun was her time lord, which is very important here. She also had Saturn trining her natal Saturn, which helps being supported and recognized by those with authority. A great transit to sweep these awards.

Astrology of TimotheĂŠ Chalemet
Virgo Rising which means his chart ruler is Mercury and thatâs in Capricorn 5h- heâs actually pretty reserved and he may have a small close knit set of friends. Heâs probably a perfectionist especially when it comes to his roles.
Capricorn 5h stellium is really cool. He takes his creativity very seriously. Capricorn rules over status and 5h rules over fame. Heâs going to be one of the great ones, people are going to look back on his career forsure. I would say either after or during his Saturn return that he may win his first Oscar award or get nominated again. His return is coming up since Saturn enters Pisces in 2023 but it wonât affect him until it hit his natal degree which is 19°(libra degree) so something dealing with his partnerships will be affected, also Saturn in 7h close to his moon(women) or the role he wins for may have these things, nothing is set in stone so this can manifest in many waysđ
Venus 6h Aquarius closely conj Uranus Capricorn 5h
6h- your work and cc-workers
5h-creative, fame
He does well as a leading man in movies(Capricorn) and playing out there, different type roles(Aquarius) , heâs probably easy to get along with and his co-workers(6h) loves(Venus) working with him. Because he has Venus in his house of work, heâs easily able to climb up A-list ladder
4h rules over legacy and what people remember you for.
Jupiter sag 4h- heâs going to be remembered worldwide, big legacy! I wonder if heâll have a big family one day? Thatâs of course if he decides to have kids but if he do, it may be later down the road with cap 5h. He could end up living in a different country from his own, I believe he comes from a French family background? So he may move there for all we know lol
I was looking at his degrees
Fame degrees -Leo oneâs are obvious 5° 17° and 29°
He has his Sun 5° and Uranus 29°, he stands out among the crowd and his fellow peers
Other fame degrees no talks about is 27°(Jupiter), 2°(Taurus) 19°(Libra)
His Pisces 8h moon is 27°- women and the public loves him worldwide
Saturn Pisces 19°-respected among his close peers
10h ruler in the 6h in Venus, yeah he needs to stick to Aquarius type roles. I think his movies Bones and All and Dune is a good start haha. Kind of out there, rebellious, futuristic, utopian/dystopian, alien, humanitarian, serious, otherworldy, roles will suit him, also leading man works better than supportive
I feel like no matter roles actors choose it always end up reflecting in their birth chart haha
Well I think I made this long enough and the crazy part is I havenât even fully dissected his chart but that would take daysđ
I Hope you all enjoyed this post, check out my other celebrity post in the pinned post

April 2023 Important Dates
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's April Forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan, Austin Coppock, and guest host Robert Weinstein. Mundane recap: Pluto's ingress into Aquarius heralds the integration of AI-generated text and images into larger parts of life, impacting industries, job markets, warfare, and more. The TikTok ban bill is another manifestation of Pluto's power struggle significations. Saturn in Pisces has also hinted at some of the upcoming themes: the recent banking crisis and a shift in public policy re: covid. The Saturn-Uranus cycle has served as an indicator to economic booms & busts, with eclipses especially igniting this--the 1929 stock market crash happened with the Nodes on the Taurus-Scorpio axis, and the FTX crash can be seen as a final crisis from Saturn square Uranus around an eclipse. Chris predicts eclipses will continue to affect finance. In popular culture, Everything Everywhere All At Once won many awards and was released during the Pisces stellium, which thematically fits.
Additionally, many planets change signs and put themselves in aspect to Saturn or Pluto for the first time since the outer planets entered these new signs, setting the tone for the next few years (or decades, in the case of Pluto). We've got a lot of beginnings and motion with the cardinal sign emphasis (we begin the month with an Aries stellium and Mars having just entered Cancer, and end it with an Aries eclipse).
April 3rd - Mercury enters Taurus From here Mercury squares Pluto, sextiles Saturn & Mars, conjoins an eclipse point and approaches Uranus, putting it in a difficult position to do the planting & planning to which the first decan of Taurus is normally conducive. Slow down and be methodical about what we're doing. Between Pluto's underground machinations and Uranus's unpredictability, it's hard for us to make decisions. In the sign of Taurus this will almost certainly have financial implications as well. Mercury will start slowing down around the 10th or 11th, with the retrograde shadow beginning at 5Taurus soon after an eclipse. Funnily enough, he will retrograde over these same degrees later in the year.
April 6th - Full Moon in Libra Here's the chart:
The Moon is at 16Libra, with the Sun within 4 degrees of conjunction to Jupiter (â). The Moon is coming off a square with Mars (â), part of a larger shift towards tension in cardinal signs during the Red Planet's transit. Chiron at 15Aries is very close to the Sun (conjunction) & Moon (opposition). The Moon's ruler Venus has just left a conjunction with Uranus, and in her domicile of Taurus, indicates some fervent and moderately successful attempts at stabilizing matters. We may also find stability through contracts and deals, which are associated with the second decan of Libra. Venus is also approaching Jupiter, whose proximity to the Sun makes him combust (too close to the Sun to be visible) and less able to provide the optimism & reassurance we seek. Alternately, hopeful events may be happening behind the scenes while our optimist planet is invisible for 2-4 weeks.
April 10th - Selected auspicious election
This occurs around 2:10PM local time, with Leo rising and Ascendant ruler the Sun in the 9th whole sign house, which for a day chart is extremely fortuitous. It takes advantage of the Sun-Jupiter cazimi about to occur, with the former in exaltation making things even more auspicious. The Moon in Sagittarius applies to a trine with domicile lord Jupiter. Venus is in the last degrees of Taurus, so Leo rising charts earlier in the month can take advantage of her presence in earlier degrees. 9th house topics (Jupiter) include education, travel, higher learning and publishing, while 10th house topics with Venus can indicate art & creativity. With the Moon in the 5th house this can also be good for leisure or fun & games.
April 11th - Venus enters Gemini, Sun-Jupiter conjunction (â) The Jupiter cazimi (exact conjunction to Sun) occurs around 21-22Aries: there is still something to believe in. Not only is this fortuitous as a heightening of the greater benefic's energies, but the Sun is also in exaltation. Think optimism, expansion, and hope (Jupiter) and doing something at a level of excellence (exalted Sun). This is the seed point for new ideas, leadership and following your own path. Unfortunately the next week brings a damper on otherwise great events.
Upon entering Gemini, Venus immediately trines Pluto (â) and soon after squares Saturn (â), the last major aspects leading up into the eclipse. Venus trine Pluto in air signs can signal intensifying personal relationships as communication delves deeper, or perhaps enjoying the new technologies that are otherwise scary. However, Pluto is rarely light and Saturn makes things significantly heavier. Venus square Saturn indicates significant boundaries or obstacles in personal relationships, something that may keep the relationship from happening at all. In Austin's words, Saturn either locks you out or locks you in. This is also the time when Mercury starts slowing down to a speed slower than average in preparation for retrograde (figuratively tiptoeing up towards Uranus and deciding to turn around).
April 20th - Lunar eclipse in Aries, Sun enters Taurus This is the first eclipse both of the year and in the Aries-Libra axis, but we're not totally out of the woods yet for fixed signs.
The eclipse has a very close out-of-sign square to Pluto, and immediately after, the Moon ingresses into Taurus and squares Pluto, as does the Sun soon later. We'll get insight into what the next 20 years of Pluto in Aquarius has in store. Eclipses have indicated dramatic shifts in leadership since the earliest days of astrology, and Austin says in Aries this indicates actual heads of state. This lunar mansion/nakshatra is also associated with medicine, the public figure(s) in question may be in that field. Pluto at 0Aquarius (degree where pandemic lockdown measures intensified at various times) weighs in via a sextile to the moon, and this eclipse is also square the US Sibly chart's Pluto with Mars, eclipse ruler, on the US Sun. Thus Chris and Robert both expect significant financial events during this upcoming eclipse season.
April 21st - Mercury stations retrograde in Taurus This station occurs closely conjunct Uranus, so technological snafus and freak accidents are certainly in order. Mercury in Taurus helps the trains run on time, so we can expect further disruption and chaos on that front. Avoid messing with electricity if you can, and generally we may feel a shock to the collective nervous system. The Sun-Mercury conjunction marking the retrograde's halfway point will occur around May 1st, so we can expect to start moving towards a resolution then. On May 5th we get the answering eclipse to this one, Mercury stationing direct on the 15th, and Jupiter entering Taurus soon after. These events in mid-May will help stabilize things, though Mars will form a T-square with Jupiter and Uranus... Overall we feel eclipses for a couple weeks on either side. Pay attention to the parts of your chart where the eclipses occur: new beginnings and endings are in order as the nodes move!

Eddie Redmayne: âUntil thereâs a levelling, there are certain parts I wouldnât playâ
New Interview.
The Oscar winner on learning from his mistakes, his latest role as a serial killer nurse â and why heâs not wearing a wedding ring.
By Ryan Gilbey, Fri 27 Jan 2023.
Drinking coffee in the restaurant of a central London hotel as jazz burbles away in the background, Eddie Redmayne is wearing faded blue jeans, a white sweatshirt and a scarf. No wedding band, though. Uh-oh. ââSpotted without his ring!ââ he says, mock-horrified. He misplaced it while shooting The Danish Girl eight years ago, which is only one of the reasons to lament that film. Weâll get to the others in good time.
He bought a replacement ring then lost that, too, so he gave up. On jewellery, that is, not marriage. âI am incredibly happily married so Iâm afraid thereâs no scoop there,â he says apologetically. The tone fits with his demeanour, which is that of a Saturday boy at John Lewis: posh, affable, sincerely regretful that he doesnât have the item in your size. He just turned 41 but could pass for mid-20s. His tousled hair is rust-coloured, his skin frantic with freckles, his lips so plump they look like crimson jellies.
A scarf stays knotted around his neck throughout our morning together; he picked up a nasty cold on his recent trip to the Golden Globes in Los Angeles, where he was in the running for best supporting actor for playing the serial killer Charles Cullen in The Good Nurse. When the sneezes come today, he whips out a comically large red handkerchief peppered with white dots, like a magician preparing to make the crockery vanish.
In fact, his party trick is quite the opposite: he makes awards appear. He got the big three (Oscar, Bafta, Golden Globe) for playing Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, and an Olivier last year for his lizardly, mercurial Emcee in Cabaret, which also starred Jessie Buckley as Sally Bowles. A soundtrack recording, taped during live performances for added wildness, has just been released. Redmayneâs approach to the character, he says, âis that he would shape-shift and emerge as this Aryan conductor who could drop his baton in one of the champagne bottles at the end, and then walk off into the night. Whatever else is going on, heâs fucking fine.â
He took home his first Olivier (as well as a Tony) in 2010 for playing Mark Rothkoâs assistant in Red. Each night, he and his co-star Alfred Molina splashed paint around on stage as they mocked up giant imitation Rothkos. What a job for an art history graduate, even if Redmayneâs dissertation at Cambridge was on Yves Kleinâs blue. And donât forget the Golden Raspberry award he won for worst supporting actor in the Wachowski sistersâ incomprehensible fantasy Jupiter Ascending, where he was a rasping, pursed-lipped princeling in outfits worthy of a fetish night: stiff gold collars, stippled rubber vests, bare chest underneath. âI didnât know what I was doing,â he says. âI still donât. I honestly havenât watched the whole movie. But I loved making choices that were âŚâ He wrinkles his nose. âWell, âboldâ is probably too kind a word.â
Prizes are why we are here today. Itâs encouraging that enough of Redmayneâs peers noticed his creepy but admirably level-headed work in The Good Nurse to vote for him in next monthâs Screen Actors Guild awards. I wish him luck. âAh cheers. Never gonna happen but itâll be fun to go.â A few days after we meet, he also gets a Bafta nomination to add to the tally.
He plays Charlie Cullen, a seemingly compassionate, diligent nurse who is now serving 18 consecutive life sentences for the murder of 29 patients in his care at various New Jersey hospitals over the course of nearly two decades; the actual death toll could be in the hundreds. He contaminated IV bags with insulin, and injected patients with lethal doses of heart medication. His friend and colleague Amy Loughren (Jessica Chastain) was instrumental in bringing him to justice but The Good Nurse is less a story of heroes and villains than an indictment of the profit-centred healthcare system that enabled then concealed his actions.
âHeâs basically giving his employers every opportunity to stop him,â says Redmayne. âItâs like: âFucking do it. Go on.â Thatâs what I found intriguing about the script. In some ways, yes, itâs a true crime story, but it felt more like a character study combined with a critique of the system.â With the NHS at its most imperilled, the film doubles as a warning to audiences in the UK. âWell, itâs more than a critique of US healthcare. Itâs about systems in general in which the power of the individual is lost. Thatâs got to ring a gigantic alarm bell in relation to what we have here and what we take for granted. The NHS is going through an incredibly complex time.â
Itâs admirable that the film resists trying to answer the question of why Cullen killed. But even the least prurient viewer might wonder whether he regarded those in his care as people or merely potential kills. âIn those scenes with the patients, I was playing the truth of empathy and kindness, with the sense of the killer being a different person,â he says. âI believe he was, for all intents and purposes, an excellent nurse. But there were times when he was like an empty vessel that would become filled with arrogance and truculence. I spent time with the real Amy, and she described these moments when the Charlie she knew disappeared. That dissociative idea was a revelation for me. So thatâs how I played him. It was about finding this vacuum, this different person.â
He illustrates the demarcation in a pair of chilling confrontation scenes: first in a diner, where Amy wears a wire as she tries to lure Cullen into making an incriminating statement; then after his arrest, when he is harangued by the interviewing officer. In both those moments, the actor turns away from the camera then swivels back round to face us, his features fixed in an impenetrable mask. Somewhere inside him, a switch has been flicked to âoffâ.
No one should be surprised that Redmayne is capable of that iciness. One of his first films was Savage Grace, another factually based psychological drama. He played a fraught, tormented heir involved in a semi-incestuous relationship with his socialite mother, played by Julianne Moore. Redmayne had fought hard to get the part. Coming in 2007, so close to the start of his screen career, it introduced him as a risk-taker, likeability be damned. He made good on that promise in little-seen oddball endeavours such as Hick, where he was a limping Texas paedophile pursuing a young ChloĂŤ Grace Moretz.
His path has been unorthodox, even if his background (he was in the same year as Prince William at Eton) is privilege incarnate. âI knew nothing about film or TV but I got into acting because I loved it at school,â he says. A former drama teacher suggested him for Mark Rylanceâs all-male production of Twelfth Night at the Globe; Redmayne, 20 at the time, won the part of Viola. âIâd played so many women at school that it wasnât a stretch,â he shrugs. Adela Quested from A Passage to India is one of his favourites. ââI want to see the real India,ââ he purrs, slipping briefly into character and gazing demurely across the restaurant.
His career goals were modest. âI thought if anything happened for me it would be Sunday night television, something English and Etonian. Maybe a bit part in Foyleâs War.â That wasnât how it panned out. His breakthrough stage role, in 2004, was as a fragile young American whose father is in a sexual relationship with a farmyard animal, in Edward Albeeâs The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? âUS casting directors came to see it. Very quickly, rather than doing English characters, I was cast as Americans.â
As well as Savage Grace, there was Robert De Niroâs espionage thriller The Good Shepherd, where those full lips came in handy playing Angelina Jolieâs son. And that Sunday night prediction was realised in the end. âEventually I found my way back to tweed,â he smiles. He was Angel Clare opposite Gemma Arterton as Tess of the DâUrbervilles, then the lead in Sebastian Faulksâs Birdsong. âPlus that whole weird period where I was in anything related even tangentially to Queen Elizabeth.â Heâs muddling the chronology slightly â a role in the series Elizabeth I crops up right at the start of his CV â but itâs true that if there was a doublet and hose hanging around, the young Redmayne was either wearing it or standing next to someone who was (see The Other Boleyn Girl; Elizabeth: The Golden Age). He gallops on through his IMDb page: âThen Theory, and The Danish Girl, which I suppose both is and isnât an English period drama âŚâ
Ah, The Danish Girl. Redmayneâs publicists had politely asked me not to press him on an issue about which he has nothing more to add: the public statement in 2020 in which he diverged from his Fantastic Beasts creator JK Rowling on the matter of transgender identity. âI disagree with Joâs comments,â he said at the time. âTrans women are women, trans men are men and non-binary identities are valid.â But it is Redmayne who brings up The Danish Girl, a film he has said he would not feel comfortable making now. He believes the role of the painter Lili Elbe, one of the first known people to undergo gender-confirming surgery, should have gone to a trans performer. âI made that film with the best intentions, but I think it was a mistake,â he said in 2021.
I ask how that realisation has coloured his feelings toward the movie itself. Is it a failure? âTruth be told, I only see the flaws in the work I do anyway,â he says after a long pause. Then he stares into space for 10 seconds. âI worked really ⌠Iâm, um, I ⌠I donât know how to answer that question.â He turns to me, his eyes crinkled and sad. âI donât know how to answer it. Sorry.â Can he not even say how he feels about the film? âThe thing I find most complex is truth âŚâ There follows an explanation of the genesis of the script before he finally reaches his conclusion: âThe film feels like a fictionalised version. It doesnât feel like Liliâs story.â
He wonât take parts now that should go to trans actors: that much is clear. But what can someone with his clout do to help his trans colleagues? âA few years ago, I did a workshop with trans actors at the Central School of Speech and Drama. A lot of them were quite rightly interrogating me about my choice to do The Danish Girl, and pointing out that many trans actors donât go to drama school because they donât see it as an opportunity. Unless there are parts that you think are possible for you to play, why would you?â
A sigh. âI believe everyone wants to be able to play everything. Thatâs what we dream of as actors, and should do. No one wants to be limited by their gender or sexuality but, historically, these communities havenât had a seat at the table. Until thereâs a levelling, there are certain parts I wouldnât play.â Earlier on, reflecting on his lack of formal training, he had told me: âI can only learn from my mistakes.â At least no one can say he hasnât put his money where his mouth is.

2024 - A Year of Possibilities ~ 01 Dec 2023
2024 - A Year of Possibilities ~ 01 Dec 2023, Philip Sedgwick
Now that weâre in the final month of the Gregorian Year, itâs that time when Father Time and the holidays pile on with emotional interrogatives like: âHowâd you do this last year? Any gold stars or meritorious awards to report? Why not proudly post your completed tasks list on social media?â
Maybe some new earbuds should be on your gift list to assist in blocking out nagging voices, both internal and external. It remains important to remember that the Sun inches toward solar maximum. This means more and more blasts of titillating solar intensity impact Earth as is happening today. The need to chill, have time for repose and connecting with nature top the list of soul-restorative processes during these energetic times.
Even with solar max approaching, 2024 offers heaps of potential. Consider that Jupiter and Uranus conjoin in Taurus on 21 April. All bets are off and all possibilities are on the table. Better to approach this transit with unassuming innocence. Uranus tends to show up presenting circumstances, conditions and opportunities that youâve not been able to preconceive or imagine. Remaining open to anything certainly enhances the transit.
On 25 May, Jupiter bounds into Gemini. From then until June 2025, Jupiter engages, amplifies and embellishes galactic insight from quite an extensive collection of black holes in Gemini and Sagittarius, as well as aligning with the Great Attractor and Galactic Center. Innovative thought, inspirations, cosmic solutions to mundane problems abound and are free downloads for receptive humans.
Speaking of the Galactic Center, for all intents and purposes, Neptune in Pisces squares the galactic core for the entirety of next year. Inspiration, revelation and the not previously imagined being imagined are all part of provocative imaginings. The possibilities of new psychological and spiritual doctrines dropping from the heavens are endless. So too, with inventions, gizmos and an app to deal with all the apps and QR codes life forces upon a traveler.
Saturnâs transit in Pisces adds soothing balm to all emotional conditions. This is a softer placement for the massively ringed one. From this position he tends to empathize and assures that despite sensitivities, reactions and responses progress continues to unfold with determination and far-reaching vision.
And thereâs another biggie too. Later in the year (19 November) Pluto leaves Capricorn behind and commits to obsessing over all things Aquarius uninterrupted for nearly two decades. Finally a shift away from pure plutocracy and all its manifestations into something a bit more comfortable for all of humankind. Bottom lines slowly migrate from âwill it make any money?â to âwhat contributive difference is this going to make in the world?"
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus... now appearing in the form of transits that challenge sensibilities, stir status quo, and incite a soul to reach for and travel toward fulfillment of the incarnation in progress.
More soon to address capitalizing on Capricorn transits ahead!

The 2024 Elgin Award nominees are in, with 11 chapbooks and 32 full-length collections of speculative poems nominated by the 400+ members of the international Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association (est. 1978). These are eligible works that were published in 2022 and 2023.
Speculative poetry is typically considered verse with some element of speculation in the narrow senseâusually science fiction, fantasy, or horror, though some include straight science. SFPAâs founder, Suzette Haden Elgin, shared her thoughts on sf poetry in the aptly titled âAbout Science Fiction Poetry.â
A big thanks goes to this yearâs chair, Felicia Martinez, for coordinating all of these candidates, who emerged from 23 presses across the globe. This will be the eleventh year these awards have been conferred, and the final winners will be announced in the fall.

In December 2023 and February 2024, NASAâs Juno spacecraft, currently in orbit around and investigating Jupiter and the Jovian system, made several close flybys of the innermost of the Galilean moons, Io. During the flybys, Juno came as close as 1,500 kilometers from the surface of Io, during which extensive data and imagery of the moon were captured. From the imagery and data, scientists were able to make the first up-close observations of the northern latitudes of Io, as well as sharp mountains and lava lakes. Furthermore, Junoâs recent flybys of Jupiter allowed scientists to refine their understanding of Jupiterâs polar cyclones and water abundance. Ioâs lava lakes and sharp mountains Io is known to be one of the most extreme locations in the solar system, with the moon having the most geologic/volcanic activity of any planetary body in the solar system. Ioâs immense volcanic activity has been recorded by several spacecraft, with images showing large plumes of sulfur and sulfur dioxide shooting as high as 500 kilometers above the surface. Ioâs volcanism is largely due to a two-to-one mean-motion orbital resonance with Europa, and a four-to-one mean-motion orbital resonance with Ganymede â meaning that Io completes two orbits of Jupiter with every orbit of Europa, and four orbits with every one orbit of Ganymede. These resonances expand and contract the surface of Io, which then allows Jupiterâs gravity to heat the interior of the moons, providing the heating needed for Ioâs extreme geologic activity. See AlsoJuno Science UpdatesSpace Science SectionL2 Atlas V/Juno ProcessingClick here to join L2 âIo is simply littered with volcanoes, and we caught a few of them in action. We also got some great close-ups and other data on a 200-kilometer-long (127-mile-long) lava lake called Loki Patera. There is amazing detail showing these crazy islands embedded in the middle of a potentially magma lake rimmed with hot lava. The specular reflection our instruments recorded of the lake suggests parts of Ioâs surface are as smooth as glass, reminiscent of volcanically created obsidian glass on Earth,â said Scott Bolton, Junoâs principal investigator. Using the Juno data, the team was able to create two simulations that visualize the characteristics of the lava lake, Loki Patera, and sharp mountains, one of which is Steeple Mountain. Additional data from the flyby using Junoâs Microwave Radiometer instrument (MWR) shows that Ioâs surface is relatively smooth compared to the surfaces of the other three Galilean moons, which are Ganymede, Callisto, and Europa. Furthermore, MWR also found that Ioâs poles are colder than the moonâs middle latitudes. Jupiterâs pole position Juno successfully inserted itself into orbit around Jupiter in July 2016. The original mission plans had the spacecraft deorbit into Jupiterâs atmosphere after completing 32 orbits of Jupiter, where it would ultimately burn up and disintegrate. However, with the spacecraft remaining in good condition and all of its instruments still operating as expected, NASA awarded Juno and its team a mission extension in 2021 that would have the spacecraft complete 42 additional orbits of Jupiter. Juno is expected to complete its mission extension in September 2025. Junoâs trajectory for its mission extension brings the spacecraft closer and closer to Jupiterâs north pole with each orbit. This trajectory allows for the MWR instrument to continuously improve its resolution of the planetâs north pole, which is filled with massive polar cyclones. The new data allows scientists to compare the poles and the cyclones in multiple wavelengths, and scientists have found that not all polar cyclones are created equally. âPerhaps the most striking example of this disparity can be found with the central cyclone at Jupiterâs north pole. It is clearly visible in both infrared and visible light images, but its microwave signature is nowhere near as strong as other nearby storms. This tells us that its subsurface structure must be very different from these other cyclones. The MWR team continues to collect more and better microwave data with every orbit, so we anticipate developing a more detailed 3D map of these intriguing polar storms,â said Juno project scientist Steve Levin of NASAâs Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. Jupiterâs northern polar cyclones, seen in infrared by Juno. (Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/SwRI/MSSS) Water abundance within Jupiter Understanding water abundance within Jupiter is one of the primary science goals for Junoâs mission. However, the team isnât searching for liquid water, but rather investigating the presence of oxygen and hydrogen molecules â the molecules that make up water â within Jupiterâs massive atmosphere. Getting an estimate of Jupiterâs water abundance is crucial for understanding the formation of the solar system and Jupiter. Scientists believe that Jupiter was the first planet to form, which means it likely contains most of the gas, dust, and other cosmic material left over from the formation of the Sun and our solar system. Having insight into the abundance of different molecules and materials within the planet gives scientists the chance to record what materials were present during the formation of our solar system. Water abundance, specifically, is important for Jupiterâs meteorology, including the flow of wind currents, and the planetâs internal structure. Scientists have been trying to measure Jupiterâs water abundance for decades, with NASAâs Galileo mission collecting one of the first datasets on Jovian water abundance in 1995 during the spacecraftâs 57-minute entry into Jupiterâs atmosphere at the end of its mission. However, Galileoâs data created more confusion than clarity, as the spacecraft found that the planetâs atmosphere was hot and void of water. âThe probe did amazing science, but its data was so far afield from our models of Jupiterâs water abundance that we considered whether the location it sampled could be an outlier. But before Juno, we couldnât confirm. Now, with recent results made with MWR data, we have nailed down that the water abundance near Jupiterâs equator is roughly three to four times the solar abundance when compared to hydrogen. This definitively demonstrates that the Galileo probeâs entry site was an anomalously dry, desert-like region,â Bolton said. The northern and equatorial regions of Jupiter, imaged by Juno during its 10th flyby of the planet. (Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/SwRI/MSSS/Kevin M. Gill) Junoâs new results on Jovian water abundance suggest very low water abundanceâan unexpected result that scientists are still trying to understand. However, these results do support scientistsâ theories that during the solar systemâs formation, water-ice material was likely a driving force behind heavy element enrichment, the process by which chemical elements heavier than hydrogen and helium were accreted by Jupiter during its formation. Additional data on Jovian water abundance collected by Juno during the remainder of its extended mission will help scientists compare Jupiterâs water abundance at polar regions and equatorial regions. Additional data will also help reveal the structure of the planetâs core. Junoâs next flyby of Jupiter, the 61st of the mission, is planned for May 12. Movies I watched this Week # 153 (Year 3/Week 49):
So on Monday morning, as I start preparing my "Viewing schedule" for the week, I stumble on a new space documentary The making of JUICE, and two hours later, I already know that this will probably be my most emotionally-rewarding film of the week. It chronicles the final years of development of The European Space Agency's Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE), which took off to Jupiter on April 14, 2023. Itâs a deeply technical dive into a topic I know nothing about. But itâs absolutely exhilarating - 10/10.
đż
I really struggled with Scorsese's new saga Killers of the flower moon. It's an indictment against America's original sin, the genocide and dispossession of the ingenious population, and the systemic evil it shows is deeply unpleasant. Had De Nero ever played such an sinister character? His Jimmy Conway was also a ruthless murderer, but he didn't come across as Machiavellian as here.
It's a stunningly beautiful film, but the tragedy should have been told in two hours, not 3.5.
đż
While waiting for Miyazaki's latest 'The boy and the heron', I caught Castle in the sky, one of the last Ghibli Studio features I hadn't seen yet.
An imaginative retro-futuristic adventure, its drawing style is somehow primitive compared to his later films. As always, many of its themes and tropes were repeated later nearly-verbatim: The old woman pirate who become Ubaba in 'Spirited away', the many fanciful steampunk airships, the strong female protagonist and her sidekick, the magical journey, the beautiful scenery, the ecological destruction, the sumptuous food.
(Unfortunately I could only watch it in the bad English dubbed version).
đż
From the '30 best mobster movies' list, the classic French Noir Touchez pas au grisbi ('Don't touch the loot'). Cool Jean Gabin is the honorable gangster, a refined, quiet, responsible, thoughtful criminal with an impeccable looks and manners. 8/10.
đż
3 by German-born French director Dominik Moll:
đż The Night of the 12th, a patient award-winner cop thriller that follows an investigation into an unsolved murder. A young woman is burnt alive, and in the quest to discover who did it, quiet dynamics about misogyny and gender roles are being exposed. Reminiscent of 'Memories of murder'. The rural areas outside Grenoble were mouth-watering beautiful. 8/10.
đż Mollâs previous thriller, Only the animals, was even a tighter thriller. Like âRashomonâ, it tells seven diverse stories that don't seem connected until the very last scene. This one is worth watching without any knowledge about it beforehand; it's so surprising, and shocking, and fresh. My 6th film with Denis MĂŠnochet. Best thriller I've seen for a while - 9/10.
đż His earlier hit, With a Friend Like Harry, disappointed me greatly. "Harry" meets an old high school acquaintance at a roadside restroom, and invites himself to stay with the friend's family. Without any clear motivation, well-to-do Harry decides to buy his struggling friend a new car, and as some days go by, starts killing everybody around him, "because they irritate him (?)". It opens with a long grating scene of the three children crying in the car, and continued with none of the characters becoming appealing or interesting. A terrible Hitchcock at best.
đż
2 about cute French swimming instructors:
đż The five devils, My 5th uneven film with Adèle Exarchopoulos. It's a mixed up magical fantasy which is also taking place in the eastern mountainous part of RhĂ´ne. At its core, there's a tender bond between a mother and her daughter, and the 10-year-old has a extra-strong sense of smell. But then a slew of confusing subplots emerge. They include pyromania, clairvoyance, disintegrating marriage, supernatural time travel, lesbianism, trances, and what have you. 4/10.
đż Sink or swim, my 10th film with gorgeous Belgian actress Virginie Efira. A low-brow and predictable 'comedy' about a depressed group of suburban, sad-sack losers, each with their own midlife crisis, who join a male team of synchronized swimming. Efira is their trainer, and the whole premise is ridiculous, and sloppily-made. 2/10.
đż Â
First watch: Vincente Minnelli's turn of the century Gigi. A lame musical about a teenager prostitute school... Sorry, "Courtesans". Hard to fathom that in 1958 it swept all the 9 Oscars it was nominated for! It opens with 70-year-old grandpa Maurice Chevalier singing âThank Heaven For Little Girls", an ode to 7 year old girls with a sly smile on his face. Disturbingly creepy, it's explicitly about "grooming", or, how to train a young woman to be a mistress. 1/10.
At least it got me interested enough to read about the "Belle Ăpoque", the "Golden Age" era from a century ago, which had so many similarities to our recent past: A period "characterised by optimism, regional peace, economic prosperity, colonial expansion, and technological, scientific, and cultural innovations". And which ended so brutally by some certain historical calamities, the two World WarsâŚ
đż
Make way for tomorrow, the "Saddest movie ever made"? An old couple loses their home in 1937 America, and none of their five selfish adult children wants to help them stay together. A real tearjerker that may have been the inspiration to Ozu's 'Tokyo Story'.
đż
â⌠This land doesnât seem to have changed muchâŚâ
Vilhelm Hammershøi (1864-1916) was a symbolic, melancholic Danish painter. Michael Palin and the Mystery of Hammershøi is part of the travelogue series that Michael Palin used to host. Palin was fascinated by him, because many of his Vermeer-inspired portraits featured a mysterious woman shown from the back.
He lived mainly on Strandgade 30 in Christianshavn, [which I passed on many times], and painted the interior of his home more than 60 times. Extensive use of Bach's Prelude No. 1. But the documentary itself was not very insightful.
đż
2 Black Mirror-like Re-watches:
đż Melancholic Black Mirror S1, E1, Be right back, voted as "12th greatest TV episodes of the 21 century", an unusually tender story.
đż Soderbergh's tight conspiracy fire cracker from last year, Kimi, his nail-biting Covid-19 'Black Mirror'-style thrill-ride. Like Hitchcock's Rear Window about our digital life today. With Derek DelGaudio as the murderous heavy. Terrifying 9/10.
đż
"Off with everybody's heads!"
A 1915 silent film version of Alice in Wonderland, using faithful costuming to the original John Tenniel's illustrations. Some of the animal characters were creepy.
đż
Hatchi X 2:
đż Hatchiko, a new Chinese remake of the famous real-life Japanese story about the faithful dog, waiting to his owner at the railway station, even years after his death. Adora and I watched the Richard Gere's 'Hatchi' many times. Here, the dog is not an Akita, but a mongrel and his name is BaTong. There's also a scene where he is saved from a dog meat restaurant, just before being made into spicy stir-fry. Very sentimental, with Joan Chen.
đż I also tried to watch the original 1987 Japanese original of HachikĹ Monogatari, but this turned up to be a insufferable Olde Tyme, super sweet version, and I had to abandon it midstream.
đż
2 more by The Obama's:
đż American symphony documents a year in the life of musician Jon Batiste and his wife, as she struggles with leukemia. I've previously seen five other films that were produced by Obamaâs Hollywood company, 'Higher Ground'. But as much I adored him 15 and 18 years ago, this 'heart-felt' documentary was boringly pedestrian. 2/10.
đż I devoured Leave the world behind because I always seek realistic stories about the end of our world. It started slow and small, with some highfalutin cinematography and sound edits, surrounding the lifestyle of the upper middle class well-to-do and un-famous. But it quickly lost steam as it turns into a mixed-up conspiracy nightmare, that tries to get all the possible apocalyptic tropes into one giant pot. A generous 5/10.
đż
The Realest Real, another short parable with Mahershala Ali, about fashion, social media, status. Produced by the Kenzo brand. 2/10.
đż
Fast Charlie, a new Mississippi/New Orleans crime thriller, with Pierce Brosnan as an aging, omnipotent hit-man, dreaming of retiring to Tuscany. Like a mid-range Elmore Leonard caper with high body count. James Caan's last paycheck.
đż
"...Wait. Not the homeless person that fell down the stairs?..."
What does it say about me that one of my favorite romantic comedies of late is Long shot, and that I've seen it probably 10 times, including last month, and that I felt 'forced' to watch it again today?
The Boys ll Men groove is how this movie appeals to me. But it's so well-done on every level. 10/10.
đż
Nahum Gutman and his world, the only documentary I could find about the greatest Israeli painter, my childhoodâs hero. But the banal voiceover gave the most incomprehensible gibberish analysis for the visuals: Worst Art Talk ever!

Ongoing LOCKHEED MARTIN Training on Death Ray Weapons...
Apparently the Lockheed Martin trainer and military personnel have big plans for me tonight!
As I continue to report the Nelson's house is a major, again MAJOR, official location used by Lockheed Martin personnel training numerous USAF and Navy military personnel from nearby bases. Lockheed also has a huge operation center not far away.
Many DOD contractors typically have operation centers near military bases. This is because they work hand-in-hand. Both the Army, Navy, USAF have DOD Contracts for various types of weapon systems, etc.
This is the first time I have seen an official setup in the Nelson's garage which I noticed went out to take the trash out. It makes sense. Apparently the garage sale last Saturday was an attempt to clean out the garage for the setup. I also noticed tonight a drone in the back. I assume THEY are embarking on another night in the strategic "Slow Kill" operation around me with tonight my head where the focus. When I enlarge the middle image, illuminated in infrared, I can see the Lockheed Martin trainer and a young military boy sitting next to him in training.
Many times, military personnel as well as the LAPD cops rotate around to compliant houses and all specifically use the three behind me. The drone in the back may be guided by the Black cops. Other houses that have garage setups typically are the Robles, Velasquez and Spear houses using their garage for quite some time.
Lockheed Martin USAF Directed Energy Weapon Connection
Lockheed Martin Army Contract
Lockheed Martin Navy Connecton
Lockheed Martin Marine Connection
LAPD High-Tech War Room Satellite / Drone Division (RACR) has been Covertly Targeting Citizens in Los Angeles County with military weaponized satellites connected to drones since 2012
Let see what they have in store for me tonight which typically intensifies after midnight until daylight. Sadly, the exact same energy weapon experimentation is reported massively across the USA!

Hi! I saw that you have Jupiter opposite Pluto aspect in your natal chart. I have this aspect too and it happens to be one of my tightest aspect. I've read some explanation about it but I would love to know your interpretation since you have this same placement, too. I have it 6h Jup opp 12h Pluto (placidus) and 7h Jup opp 1h Pluto. Thank you for reading this!
yes i do have jupiter opposite pluto in my chart is, according to pullen, my most powerful aspect. ours are somewhat different because 6h and 12h oppositions typically are about the mentally versus the physical and subconscious versus conscious, while 3h and 9h are about what you know versus what you believe and what you say versus what you think.
jupiter-pluto: negative aspects: this opposition creates stubborn people who are willing to fight for what they believe. they don't tend to be the most apologetic individuals as they tend to have a great level of severity to their personality and a steady self-devotion/trust. oftentimes they feel lost in the world; they hunger for experiences. enough is never enough for them. even when they receive rewards, awards, and/or praise they are often discontented with what they have. even if they achieve affluence, they constantly search for the next biggest and best thing. they are often extremists at heart. they may look at people and examine them like an apocalypse is coming - they see the advantages and disadvantages of people / see them in terms of assets and liabilities. they could be very black and white when it comes to their personal beliefs, ethics, and morality. but more often than not they are the proper, morally-grey person in the plot; they play both sides and mainly by their own rules. they may also be seen as menaces to society if they actually act upon their extremist ways. subconsciously, they are constantly searching for honestly, loyalty, and change.
hope this helps.

 EXCERPT
âConsider the odds. If you multiply the number of stars in our galaxy by the number of galaxies in the Universe, you get approximately a gazillion stars. Thatâs a 1 followed by twenty-four zeros. And there could be even more than that! The chances that we are the only living organism in the universe... To me, thinking weâre unique is pretentious. Itâs a matter of days. Iâm sure anyone who discredits this is in for a rude awakening soon. Even though weâve just started the fourth decade of the 21st century, there are still many people who are oblivious to these truths.â
âThese are probably the same ones that still believe in the supernatural.â said Stryker, laughing ironically.
âI figured of all people you would believe in most of these things? In the paranormal, in the spirit world, I mean.â asked Ripley.
âOh, pleaseâ answered Stryker. âWith all the technology available today, millions of digital cameras and video cameras, billions of photos and millions of hours of recorded footage, yet not one real image of a being or anything remotely paranormal has ever been confirmed. Nothing, zilch.â he looked down, shaking his head slightly in disbelief. âBut some people want to hold onto the belief in the paranormal as though itâs any different to say goblins, angels or wizards...none exist, but people still believe this tripe. We have simple people wandering around abandoned facilities at night with EMF and digital recorders trying to convince themselves that a tapping sound is a lost soul back from the dead, or the scratchy inaudible sound recorded is a voice from beyond the graveâ he laughed. âIf you believe in ghosts and spirits you truly have a childâs view of the world.â Ripley seemed thrown off by Strykerâs skeptic speech and immediately stood up, talking back at him:
âHow can you say that, Stryker? After what you witnessed Amanda go through?â she asked, looking at him incredulously.
âOh, Stryker.â sighed Amanda. She then looked at him squeezing her eyes, as if she could see through him. âYouâre attempting to approach a nonsensical subject with strict rationality. The world isnât so black and white. Your clinical view of everything is your downfall. For as much as science has advanced, weâre still in the dark about most of lifeâs mysteries and not one human soul on this planet can tell you what actually happens after you die.â she said. Amanda then stood up and started prancing around the room, talking to all:
âOnce you accept that youâre an insignificant, inconsequential blip on the radar of time--one of billions of people to have come and gone in a few million years--and humble yourself with the idea that all you truthfully know about the universe is what other, greater men have told you from their own observations, then maybe you wonât act so pompous as to declare you know all there is to know about a subject that has managed to stay in the forefront of society since time immemorial.â she paused for a moment and went on. âIt isnât just country kooks and attention-seeking nutters that believe theyâve seen a ghost or had a paranormal experience. There are many learned men who would stand up to your scrutiny as upright characters, such as presidents, who have claimed to have seen spirits. Trying to lock down such a persistent, widespread phenomenon into this âThis is this, therefore that is thatâ rationality is just silly. We exist in a world where we have no idea why we're even here, and things in your daily life operate on a scale of normality that youâve grown accustomed to, never mind the fact that several centuries ago many things you do would be considered âmagicâ or âabnormal.â The torchbearers who brought us electricity, telephones, and computers have managed to push the darkness of ignorance back only so much, but youâre making the mistake of thinking you can see the entire cave beyond the small circle of light.â said Amanda.

PP Investment Awards 2023: Shortlists revealed!
The awards celebrate excellence among asset managers
Here they are. The finalists for the 10th anniversary Professional Pensions Investment Awards...
The Professional Pensions Investment Awards celebrate excellence among the asset managers who serve UK occupational pension schemes.
The awards, now in their tenth anniversary year, recognise asset managers over a broad range of specialisms and shine the spotlight on those whose achievements may not always be recognised by the more general UK Pensions Awards.
The awards process is unique within the industry - with the shortlist being drawn up in association with Aon, one of the leading investment consultants in the market, highlighting those asset managers who have demonstrated excellent performance.
The shortlist is broadly based on performance over the 12 months to 30 June 2023 but also recognises the need for consistent performance. Entrants were therefore only shortlisted if they demonstrated both excellent performance over the 12 months to 30 June 2023 AND strong performance over a three-year time period.
Shortlisted entrants are now being asked to complete a questionnaire to demonstrate how they differentiate themselves from their peers in terms of innovation, client service, sustainability, diversity and inclusion.
The nominees are as follows:
