Description:

Hieda-sensei is a professor of archeology, with a fervent belief in the existence and power of supernatural creatures such as gods and demons. Since he can't prove anything, his belief has earned him the mocking nickname Youkai Hunter from his colleagues. One day, two men from Ootori-chou come to visit him. They're planning to promote tourism by reviving their town's old, traditional Demon Festival, which was discontinued a century ago. They're basing the festival on Hieda's research, although they're changing a few details to make it flashier for modern sightseers. Although Hieda is troubled by the history of human death associated with the festival, he agrees to attend as an advisor. When the Demon Festival turns out to be much more historically accurate than anyone ever dreamed, it will take all of Hieda's knowledge and courage to help set things right! The 1974 classic Youkai Hunter is now updated with a new artist's fresh take on the story!

I saw some caps and wow, the updated art style is really great - it is the same mangaka of Btooom! (granted am not a fan of Btooom but I still like this mangaka's art style). If you’re into classic horror manga or folklore-based stories, this is one to keep an eye on.

I could think of at least four people who would be a better fit for that job than Sou XD

1 - Hiroshi Fujioka. DUH. He may be getting on in the years but he's always up to the task, so we may as well have the OG repping the Riders, no?

2 - Masahiro Inoue. He's fucking Decade. 'Nuff said.

3- Shun Nishime. Probably the guy who's reprised his role the most often since his own show barring the aforementioned Pinky.

4 - Junya Komatsu. The actual, official ambassador of the Ishinomori Manga Museum who hails from the same hometown as the creator of Kamen Rider and became a Kamen Rider himself.

Btooom! Creator Junya Inoue Collaborates with Tatsujin on Truxton Extreme PS5 Game

Tatsujin and manga creator Junya Inoue (BTOOOM!) confirmed on Twitter that they are collaborating on an upcoming game titled Truxton Extreme (Tatsujin Extreme), a new game based on Toaplan's 1988 shoot 'em up arcade game Truxton. Truxton Extreme will launch for PlayStation 5 in 2024. Tatsujin distributed a special booklet for Inoue's Kaijū Jieitai manga at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 event last month, and it includes a 3-page introductory manga for Truxton Extreme. Clear River Games is publishing the game in English, and it streamed a trailer:
