hey, thanks for this ask! i don't think i've answered this before tbh, because on the surface it seems SO hard to pick. but the moment i read this i knew it had to be scully. so my heart picked for me before my head could LMAO

i think it's partially because, at least where i am in the series, we have had so many mulder-centric episode, and only a handful of ones that were really start to finish about her. and i get SO excited for them! so that time we spend focusing on her is cherished

i relate to her in certain ways, but other things about her (like her REFUSAL to talk about her feelings) baffle me and make her such a compelling character. i love that her driving force is this need to do the Morally Correct Thing (and how that is not necessarily a positive in her life). i love that she has no qualms reconciling science and God. i love that she has this complex relationship with her parents who expect so much of her and she has to wrestle with who it is she really wants to be and what she wants to do with her life free from other people's expectations. i love how she feels this responsibility to take care of the people around her both under the hippocratic oath and the fact that is simply who she is, someone who would sit by your bedside and hold your hand but entirely refuse to let you tend to her when she's the one in pain. i love how she is so smart and brave and by jove her one-liners are underrated. she's just one of THE characters of all time for me!!

Say hello to my deathpuss kid I made out of impulse just a couple days ago

His name is Leuka, short for a longer name. He probably goes by other names too as he's been around for a while (thats just my excuse for how indecisive i am)

He's with Death a lot, helping out in either guiding and reaping runaway souls.

He's still pretty young, and Death's duty isn't pretty or simple, so he has to guide the kid a lot. It's a slow progress, but he's learning and making his own rather... unique decisions.

And just for fun, we made a spiderverse-esque crossover of all the kids on discord ekkckekc

YESSS god they're so cute and hot. I feel like I can't intrude otherwise I break up the strongest power couple in the world.

The summer air was still thick with warmth. The sun lazily fell past the horizon at a snails pace, draping Mistria in a honey glaze that only increased the sticky feeling of humidity. Valen sat in her office, (which really was just her front desk), reading a new medical journal that came from the capital.

Her eyes seem to skip over a few sentences, and she sighs and takes her reading glasses off, rubbing her eyes.

A few months back, her and Juniper's wine sessions seemed to have turned into a different direction. Instead of the hangouts being cordial and filled with laughter, there was an air of...tension to them. Valen has caught Juniper on multiple occasions staring at her wine-stained lips, and at first she blamed it on the alcohol circulating in the sorceress's body. However, the doctor started to notice the way that Juniper's eyes would bore into hers; how Juniper would often offer to pour another glass for her, gently grasping the bottle out of her hands and sneakily brush her fingers against Valen's.

Valen was honest to herself. Juniper's subtle flirting drove her wild.

It was odd for her. Valen hasn't engaged with a romantic relationship for ages now, so at first she wasn't sure if she was picking up her friend's signals correctly.

It wasn't until Juniper gifted her an 800-year-old bottle of Witchvine Merlot that she realized that Juniper was interested.

So, after the poor witch knocked over that priceless bottle of wine, Valen decided to invite her over to break open a red, and that it would "tastes better with company" anyways.

Valen jumped as a loud knocking sounded at the door.

"Come in, Juniper."

The door creaked open to reveal the sorceress, cloaked in the golden light of sunset. Her exposed skin practically glowed like a precious gemstone. She looked ethereal.

"Getting impatient, were you, Doctor?" She teases, tossing her mauve hair over one shoulder.

Valen stood up to approach her, "Not at all. Just happy to have you here,"

If Valen knew any better, she saw a twinge of pink dusting her cheeks. She grabbed her delicately manicured hand.

"Follow me. Let's drink wine in my private study."

The farmer sighs as they sit down by the fountain. The moonlight shone brightly, casting a blue glimmer on everything below it. They could hear cicadas...and high heels loudly tapping on stone?

They looked up to see Juniper stumbling out of the clinic. Her normally perfectly done hair is wild, and her makeup (particularly her lipstick) was smeared to the left of her mouth. The sorceress cleared her throat and attempted to brush back her hair and pull herself together, before turning and looking directly at the farmer, shocked.

Are...are those hickeys?

Juniper glared with a furious blush on her cheeks. "You saw nothing, farmer. You wouldn't want to see your skin turn mysteriously blue the next time you visit the bathhouse, now would you?"

The gays won with this couple guys. I wish they were my aunts.

regarding that ask that said all the arcs end in pain... it breaks my heart, but it also feels like that's the only way it could go. Because for the most part, each arc has been about finding a new companion or group or place to stay and be safe. So for the arc to end, it means that the companion/group/safe place has to be torn away from them again. Be that through a betrayal, or the hunters catching up to them, or whatever might cause it, every ending is a loss. Which means that there can pretty much never be an arc that ends happily. They've been set up for failure by design. I'm gonna cry :(

this is a great question! and it took me a while to answer it, because i was really pondering. but here are my answers- note that they are not ranked, but rather in chronological order.

also, i picked 15 instead of 10, because i have never made a choice in my life and i feel a solemn commitment to continuing that moving forward. consider it a little friday the 13th bonus.

i'd like to get into why i love each episode so much sometime in the future, but i imagine you can see some common threads. lots of agent bonding time, scully character exploration, light-heartedness alternating with earth shattering grief, tearful reunions, whump, and other tropes that form my specific brand of ideal content!

what do you think- are these good picks? am i picking well-loved episodes, or are there some underrated gems in there? any other common themes you notice between them? please share! psychoanalyze me! have fun with it!

ok so I just finished binge reading (as well as staring in wonder at the beautiful art) basically everything about the fic and I just want to say. THE ART. THE WRITING. THE WORLDBUILDING AND LORE AND PLOT AND CHARACTER DESIGNS. THE EVERYTHING.

i was confused for a second but i assume by fic you mean hhau! <33 their story truly is full of tragedy (just the way we love it hehe) and i'm so excited to hear you enjoyed looking through all the stuff and are now Invested™️!

also also!! it's great to hear you're interested in the mimic! when me and link made juni, we just had a What If Mimic thought one day and played around with it, and then it kept going and going, until it gained a life of its own. and, honestly, we weren't sure if people were going to like him by the end of his arc. he's complicated, he stepped between grian and scar, and he's made some very bad decisions. which, you know, is a tricky spot to put a character you want people to care about.

it always makes me so happy to know he's looked at with love and curiosity despite all the wrongs he's done rather than seeing his character just negatively and being glad he's gone, so thank u!! <33

juni doesn't know what his original form is. in a way, he doesn't have one anymore. he can't remember how to be himself, so he's just looking for someone to be. someone he can live with being, you know? identity is such a convoluted, twisted concept to him, but he's desperate to grasp it. to be his own, rather than just a thief or a coward or a traitor.

and maybe we'll get to see where that journey takes him. i hope that's something you'd look forward to see :3c
