Liko frowned, pulling the cat Pokemon into her arms so she wouldn't lose track of it, too. Friede had let her and Roy go on ahead into Motostoke, but Roy must have run off while Liko was distracted by one of the shops, and now she couldn't find him anywhere. It didn't help that there was a large crowd of people gathering near the city's stadium...

"Maybe he went there," Liko muttered to herself. She squeezed herself into the middle of the crowd, eventually making her way into the building, but it was no use. There were just too many people, even if Roy was there she couldn't see him.

She gave a small, defeated sigh, but let the flow of the crowd push her further on until she found herself sitting in the audience of one of Galar's exhibition matches. She'd always thought Paldea's Gym battles were a spectacle, but even the ones she'd gotten to see up close when she was little were nothing like this. The battlefield was huge, and the cheering of the crowd was almost deafening at times, but at some point Liko got so drawn into the battle that she hardly noticed it anymore.

"The way that Pikachu moves... It's so strong, it reminds me of Cap." She was speaking to herself, but she heard her Sprigatito meow in agreement. She hadn't been paying much attention when the announcer introduced the trainers; one of them was one of Galar's Gym Leaders, but she was pretty sure she'd heard the word 'Kanto' used in reference to the Pikachu's trainer.

Liko once again let the flow of the crowd direct her outside once the battle was over. She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going anymore, now lost in thought. She'd never seen a battle like that before, and it was only an exhibition match. She couldn't imagine ever being strong enough to battle in one of Galar's stadiums like that.

But I have to admit I've never read Pearl content beyond the mezaUA (@jumaanboruto) or seen fanart outside of Endeless or f/f ship.

So these will probably be the only things I'll read along with @love-is-a-pearl UA pearl content. I don't hate it but also, I'm not investing in Pearl consistently, but if someone is a fan and sends me content I'll be open to it I'm reading...

The Hoenn Pokémon League!

- Trainers register for the Hoenn League at their local Pokemon Center. The Elite Four and Champion keep tabs on the challengers as they move across Hoenn (hence why Steven was able to "run into" May as often as he did after their first encounter in Dewford).

- Trainers may complete their badge journey in any order they choose (Minus Norman. Then he makes you earn four badges before you can battle him)

- The Elite Conference is held once a year. During the time the League is not open, Ever Grande City is a peaceful place, mainly visited by nature lovers who want to see the strong water types that can make it up the enormous waterfall.

- Trainers who intend to enter the Conference must make their way up the waterfall. They cannot fly into the city, like spectators/the press will.

- The Ace Trainers and Experts in Victory Road are paid for by the League. They are the first challenge trainers will face on their way to battle the Elite Four/Champion. Challengers who choose to give up are escorted the rest of the way by one of the trainers and given a ticket to watch the conference.

- Trainers that do make it through Victory Road are given accommodation in the Ever Grande Resort, the biggest hotel in the city.

- The city is flooded with spectators and reporters, and the matches are broadcast worldwide.

- The rounds play out similarly to the anime, where there will be knockout rounds until eight trainers are left standing.

- Those eight trainers will get the chance to battle the Elite Four and the champion. They are also registered in the Hall of Fame and gain access to the Battle Resort (later Frontier).

- Those matches are the most hotly anticipated, because the number of trainers who are able to battle the champion fluctuates every year. Some years, all eight will battle the champion, other years, it's just one.

- May was one of two trainers to make it to Steven (the other was Wally)

- Max was the only trainer to make it to May when he competed a few years later, and he lost.

PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE - readily available information to anyone with access to any source of media

- May defeated Steven Stone and retained the title of Hoenn champion for almost a decade

- She has a brother named Max.

- Her father, Norman, is the gym leader of Petalburg City

- She is originally from Olivine City, Johto, and speaks of it often in interviews.

- May was the one to quell Kyogre's wrath

- May was the one to beat the strange space Pokemon while on the back of Rayquaza. This information was revealed by a reporter named Gabby.

- May is poised to helm Hoenn's Battle Frontier, and will battle under the title of Battle Legend.

- She is very warm when giving autographs and interviews. She really does like being looked up to by young children/trainers.

- May is very outspoken about her belief that humans should not, under any circumstance, control Legendary Pokemon. She belives they should be left alone, and humans should only intervene if they pose a danger to humanity. Kyogre just wanted to take a nap there was no need to wake them up TEAM AQUA!!!

SEMI PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE/RUMORS

- May once had a nightmare of her team dying to Kyogre. She woke up panicked about it in the crowded Pokemon Center lobby at EverGrande City, so there were witnesses.

- May is really bad at cooking human food, but is a wiz at making Pokeblocks. No, she doesn't understand how she's accomplished that either.

- The information about May being the one to defeat the legendary Pokemon was actually stolen from the Mossdeep Space Center or the city of Sootopolis by the reporting team of Gabby and Ty.

NOT PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE (unless plotted otherwise)

- May has a deep, deep loathing for Team Aqua, and especially Archie. Despite the façade she puts on regarding them, she wishes she'd been strong enough to tell Interpol exactly what they'd been planning.

- Wallace, Steven, and Professor Cozmo were the ones to hide any footage of May's deeds, at her request.

- May is still severely traumatized by what happened with Kyogre and Rayquaza

- May suffers from aquaphobia (phobia of water) and astrophobia (phobia of stars/space). It can be difficult for her to do things like shower, or have a romantic evening stargazing.

- Flash, her Raichu, very nearly died in the battle against Kyogre, and was the member of her team that dealt the finishing blow to the beast.

- May released Kyogre back into the Seafloor Cavern after catching it. She commanded it go back to sleep.

- She also refused to take Rayquaza with her on her journey, but does still have the ability to call it if need be.

- She never caught Deoxys. She only beat it back into deep space

- Latias is the one legendary she met that doesn't mind.

Acclimating to once again visiting Alto-Mare was surprisingly easier than Jasmine had previously expected. Much like Olivine, the island community’s ties to the sea made her instantly feel at peace upon arrival. Despite having left shortly after birth, it’d always been her dream to visit her hometown; and the fact that the people of Alto received her so warmly—it was as if all was settling right in her world, for once. Connecting her past with a burgeoning future.

During her recent stay, trips to the marketplace have become routine for the woman, a chance for her to enjoy the liveliness along the canals before the day is in full swing. What with the Tour de Alto-Mare commencing in several days, Jasmine feels it necessary to keep her rented condo stocked with all of the essentials in the case that company were to stop by. It’d be only her second Tour since once again visiting the city, but this second excursion informed her greatly of what to expect within the coming days.

Musicians play in the square, as city-goers circle booths adorned with an assortment of produce. Jasmine turns several different fruits over in her hand, a light ocean breeze drifting pleasantly through the buildings that arch into blue skies. With a tendency to people-watch, the brunette hums merrily as she views the latest fashions and fresh faces of the other residents: everyone is pulling out their best for the upcoming event, arguably the city’s biggest of celebrations. Hazel eyes blink with curiosity as one particular silhouette attracts her eye; within seconds, the widest grin dots her complexion. With a bit of stealth, Jasmine tip-toes closer to the man she’s aiming to surprise.

She doesn’t hold hesitation, either: Jasmine immediately goes in for a hug, no doubt startling the other in some form or fashion. She can only hope no offense is taken by her forward gesture—perhaps the glorious weather and giddiness for the upcoming race have her feeling bolder than usual. “Didn’t expect to see you here,” Jasmine says quickly with the release of her arms. “Look at you! You’re all grown up!” Truly, it’d been a lifetime since their last meeting. Jasmine, however, would never forget a holder of the Mineral Badge, as few and far between as they may be.

1- When they both become older, they become slightly closer friends. Though with as bad as hormones care be...there are times where they become friends with benefits. Simply because Ash travels a lot and Flannery doesn't want to bring him down as a partner.

2- If she can get away from the gym long enough, Flannery cheers on Ash during his battles in arenas.

"My human was an odd one from the moment we met. She was just like all the other humans who try to grab me and pet me without my permission, or scold me for taking naps in high places... But unlike the other humans, she made an effort to understand me. She wasn't good at battling or communicating her feelings with other humans, and she was rather clumsy, but she was trying her best, and I decided the day we met that I would do my best to protect her. She's my precious human and partner after all."

  Aaron was venturing through the city.Curious about this whole new setting he was in.Lucario was abit guarded but stuck by Aarons side talking to him telepathy.Both were equally confused about what he’s seeing but he amazed seeing how much was advanced through out the ages.It was refreshing seeing pokemon happily interact with humans whenever they were wild or caught.    There was a small flux,a tiny spike of aura that caught his attention for a moment.But he paid no mind considering how the crowd dulled the senses abit and assumed it was nothing.

Ugggh, Max was so bored.

Being a gym leader could be surprisingly boring during the off season, Max had come to find out. He'd wondered why his father had given him that little knowing smile but not knowing what he was smiling about.

Apparently he was smiling at his son's impatience, and itch for a battle.

But he hadn't had any challengers in a few days - had he been that hard on the last trainer that had come in and lost? He hadn't thought he'd been...

But ugh, now what was he supposed to do?

He spun around in the desk chair in the reception area of the gym, staring up at the ceiling until he finally heard the door open.

"Ash?" he questioned upon seeing the figure. "Is that you?"

I can’t forget the late-night comedy skits I stay up to watch sometimes—those instantly remind me of him. He’s such a clown, and I mean this affectionately. He’s never failed to make me crack a smile.”
