Been doing some doodles of my star wars custom character Zippy, a mandalorian swoop bike racer. I wanted her to be attractive and wild, and im in love with her hair braids. The photo image is a manipulation i put together to mock reality. Mostly as a reference for future drawings.

For a group art trade where we drew random names for people’s characters and the character’s favorite food. I got “Sebris and mana-buns”.  Someone out there got Vermina and Snake on a stick >_>.  Lots of fun.

Lately my chronic nerve pain and depression have been at record highs, feels like every day the world is ending internally. Even in the midst of pain, if i feel the energy or desire to draw, i snatch it and make whatever i can. Often it can help to draw how i feel, to make it through.

Recently got into warhammer (played and beat all of the DoW games and DLCs) and wanted to make my own Space Marine. The Brothers of Medusa are an existing chapter in the canon, but I really like female characters, so I used some references of the mk6 helmet (hundsgugel in medieval) and custom female space marine miniatures, and made a Sister of Medusa. Medusa always was an impactful symbol for me, and I’ve had lifelong dreams of her, so it seemed only fitting to join this chapter.

“Eclipse”  This was an intriguing piece for me, as I did it under the 2018 solar eclipse. I waited until the eclipse passed over me (I was under a tree), and then sketched as much of my foundation as I could in the eclipse light, letting the subject matter come to me as I worked. This is what I ended up with.  I believe it was about facing fear, seeing the ugly shadow of the soul, and the pain it has caused over lifetimes, and ultimately healing those things.
