I was watching Finally Free again and the moment Julie says "by the way, happy birthday." gave me the creeps. sure, the scene wasn't weird and Luke smiled. But thinking here, how old is Luke supposed to be for her now? "Oh, he was 17 so-" well, that was 25 years ago. Thats terrifying for him, for all the boys i guess.

whenever their birthday comes, it just gonna feel real weird that they didn't aged or changed, yeah sure, technically 25 years had passed, but not for them, they didn't got to grow through that. imagine watching your parents, now really old, celebrating your birthday , and it could feel like your 18th birthday, but its not.

im just thinking how birthdays gotta be really hard for the boys especially when they live with Julie and her family, because, when is Carlos', Reggie might remember his little brother and how many of his anniversaries he missed and how many he still gonna miss, when is Julie's birthday, they sure will celebrate her but the inevitable thought of Julie growing and getting older than them, she won't be able to hang out with these boys forever and her feelings for Luke will eventually turn into a teenage dream she once had, will always be in their head, and when Ray's birthday comes, they will realize that this is probably where they should be, or would be if they were alive, where they technically are, but never truly, bc they will never feel or look old.

Since I just returned from rehab, here is my.. idk, emotional journey on my chronic illness + mental health or wtf ever u wanna call this. This is the most personal thing I have ever posted but I need to get it out. 

Before you read, I guess I gotta tw this for suicidal thoughts and descriptions of my symptoms.

I don’t even know where to start. It feels like all of this happened in one week and at the same in a span of several years. But no idea, time just kept passing and more shit happened. 

Last summer was pretty cool. I worked hard and made a fuckton of money - not really considering the consequences of the fact that I overstepped the boundaries of my body every single day. Either way, I regret nothing it was pretty cool and another experience I am glad I could make. Well, but when I came back home, I started to notice a few things. Among some weird shit nobody wants to know about, I noticed a change of my eyesight. There was a cloud right on the vision on my left eye and it got blurry. At first, it started with minutes and then it passed. But I knew my body responded to exhaustion in an odd way so I let it slide. As doctors have instructed me, only when it lasts over 24 hours it’s an actual episode/flare and I should go to the ER -- to elaborate this further, I have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2015 and have not had any bigger flares since, only the regular symptoms like fatigue, etc.

 I got treated with the regular medication; cortisone. This shit gave me some energy boost for a few days and then, things went back to somewhat normal. The blurry thing in my eye has changed into a weird ass thing called nystagmus. Basically, my eyeball was twitching. It was better than the blurry sight and my doctors told me that physical therapy was the only thing to help me with that, and up until some weeks ago this didn’t stop, at the moment it’s gotten way better though - a relief because that caused me mad headache and made reading really difficult.

Anyway, that was the smaller problem. A few months later, in December around Christmas, I have gotten really weak and have been constantly dizzy. As usual, I let it slide for some days. Up until that point when I couldn’t move from the bed or look at anything else but right up at the ceiling or I would get fucking dizzy. Back to the ER again, the same procedure began. Cortisone  resulted in a massive push of energy that lasted for some days, but after that, all the symptoms slowly returned. Not only that, but it started to get worse. I have been dragging and limping with my left foot since months but I still managed somehow to walk and get around. In January I had a major panic attack when I noticed that I couldn’t walk on my own to my doctors, which is merely an 8 minute walk away. I had to call my mom to bring me back home because I couldn’t go any step more. My doctor sent me to the ER but the next day, I decided that I was fine and being over dramatic and everything was perfectly fine. The whole thing kept getting worse, I could not walk anymore, I kept feeling dizzy all the time unless I was staring at only one spot: my laptop or phone. So that was what I did, ignore my symptoms. Adding to my chronic fatigue, dizziness, inability to walk and my eye problem, a sensitivity problem spread all over my body from the chest downwards. My hands hurt and my fingers cramped up and got stiff, I lost all feeling in my feet. I had an appointment at the neurologist thank god, or else, I would have let it gotten worse and kept telling myself that I am being over dramatic and nothing is actually wrong. Delusional? Maybe. I don’t understand myself there either.

The neurologist decided to keep me in hospital for a whole ass week, getting cortisone every day. I got in there with the ambulance in a wheelchair and left out of there walking again. Not perfectly, but I thought things were looking up. Of course, once the high dose of steroids begins to wear off and you slowly come down from it, you first catch sleep. Steroids this time have been given to me five days in high dose instead of three and in addition, I had to take pills that I had to reduce slowly over another two weeks. I did not sleep in those three weeks more than 3-4 hours per night and then I finally could. To make this more understandable; my brain was tired but my body was buzzing. I also had a tremor that has still not entirely left me as a wonderful side effect from the medication. 

That time stationary they finally put me back in a MRT and found 2 bigger new lesions. One of them in my cerebellum and the other in my spinal cord. Each of them causing me all those massive problems. Back at home I had physical therapy every day, but despite all of it, I had to rely on a wheelchair. I got my wheelchair in march and named him Otto because he is the best man ever. Next time in hospital, I was mentally and physically just fucking done and tried to just ignore how much my mental health was going downhill along with my body, the neurologist offered me stationary rehab at a very well known center where they treat several physical as well as mental illnesses. I said yes, and luckily got a place in July.

The initial plan was to stay there for four weeks, but the doctors suggested to extend to six. I did. And good that I did. I made slow progress. Very slow. To imagine, in twenty minutes at the first day I could barely walk 130m with four  breaks in between, with walking aid and what not - and my last day I made 640m in the same time with no breaks. I know this doesn’t sound like a lot but fuck -- I made it out of a fucking wheelchair. I am walking again. Not perfectly or any good, but my legs are used for their purpose again; to get me through this world. For someone who loves hiking and going for little walks alone, this was such a big deal to just not be able to anymore. 

The day I had the panic attack was the day I realized that in 2015 I made a promise to myself that if I ever have to rely on other people, I would end it. But I felt selfish for not wanting to end it. I felt selfish  for wanting to live and being a burden to people. I know, none of this is my fault and I am the first to give good advice, but am I good at handling my own shit? Absolutely not. 

With all the physical therapy I did for six weeks every day, I also had a psychologist that helped me understand myself better and deal with the trauma this experience brought me. I have to find another psychologist at home as well, because I didn’t feel the one I have helped me at all. I had to make a lot of promises to myself, such as accepting and asking for help and that it’s no shame in doing so. I feared losing my independence and I still do. But fuck, this experience was an eye opener in so many ways. I made new friends in rehab as well, which was one of the coolest things. And I got hit on by two attractive men - can you believe? I was in a wheelchair, dressed like absolute shit and not making any kind of deal of how I look! But yeah, my interest wasn’t really there to get involved in anything. I’ve got a lot of love to give but I need to give it to myself rather than pour it out on someone else.

I learned so many lessons, about my body and about my mind. My brain is an idiot and I have so many fears I was never even able to see until now. I thought optimism could beat everything and well... while it helps me a lot to get through every day life, every now and then I just need a slap in the face to look at things in another light. Not everything is fine if you tell yourself it is, no, you are not over reacting and you are allowed to feel sorry for yourself when life is dealing you a bad card. It doesn’t matter that other people have it worse -- it doesn’t mean your own shit is any less valid. And with that, I am going to wash my face and stop crying. I am still in a shock of reality state because I am  back at home now and everything is different. And I got to admit, I feel a little lonely. But I don’t want to reach out to my old friends at the moment with whom I felt like the “sick friend”. I want more friends in similar positions as me so I don’t have to feel bad for... well, feeling bad, and I don’t want to hear any more optimism monologues from healthy people who have absolutely no idea what it is like to have chronic pain, fatigue and overall; an illness. Whether it be mental or physical.

If you really read all of this, thank you. There was no need to, but I appreciate it. I honestly just needed to let it out. Because I haven’t done so properly since all of that started.

so I cut all ties w/ my mom 1.5y ago after I moved across the country, blocked her number blocked her on social media etc. She still has my address so she's been sending me packages w/ small gifts now and then 🙄 and one I got for this Easter was her saying kind words and hoped I could forgive her & we could reconnect and I was like aight it's been a year let's see how you've "changed"

And sent her a long message about her having to take responsibility of her abuse etc etc and ended it with "can u truly say you've changed during the last year?" she obviously didn't take it well but never responded to me. After stressing about getting a reply for 4days I blocked her again.

One week later I got a call from dad and standard how I'm doing questions, as we were about to hang up the phone he asked me about mom and that she had CALLED HIM AND BLAMED HIM FOR HER ABUSING ME and he HUNG UP ON HER 😭😭😭 that was the first time he ever took my side in things and even tho it gave me an adrenaline rush I knew it was only because now HE didn't want blame for being the enabler so he jumped ship :) so I'm not forgiving him either blah blah. Still felt great. I got a gift in July for my birthday ever since it's been quiet

Last Friday I got a post office notice that she'd sent me a package again 🙄 I mean w/ me being sick and now I can't walk b/c of my knee that's the last thing on my to do list so like lol if the two weeks pass and I can't get it and they send it back 😂😂😂 it'd be hilarious

ANYHOW I just got an EMAIL from her, I blocked her there too so she made a new one, saying I'm the most precious thing in the world for her and said I was "so small when I came into the world" and sent me a baby picture.... Like... Woman. Take a hint. You have to CHANGE for me to care not keep on doing this shit when we have a fucking joke in the family about me being a big baby even tho I was 7weeks early 😭😭😭😭 abusers love empty words so much it's hilarious - gotta hand it to her tho I was not prepared for that 😂

Silver lining in it all is that her trying, again, to reach out doesn't feel suffocating. It doesn't effect me more than "lol fake" and that's it. I mean yeah shock because wtf 😂 did not think my day would start like this, but eh... I've really been able to work on cutting her control out of my life since moving. Even the invisible strings! (the voices left from abusers making u continue the abuse yourself because they've gotten into your head :-)) and as I've mentioned before I've even started to work on my core beliefs about myself!

"Hey guys!" Zendaya waved to the phone and then spun it around your small circle so you all could wave. "Okay so how this is going to work, is we'll go around and ask truth or dare and then you guys pick what we do... so... yeah and I'm gonna start!"

The game was fun, viewers ate it up. You went around a few times before Zendaya clapped her hands together and said goodbye to the watchers and turned her phone off for the night. "Okay, now for the real ones." Harrison smirked. You knew it was coming but you hoped they'd just leave you alone. "Tom, truth or dare?" Jacob asked with a grin you knew too well playing at his lips, "Uh," Tom shot Harrison a nervous smile, "dare?" "Okay! well you both had to have known this was coming, but... the sexual tension is actually killing us." Zendaya said motioning to Jacob, Harrison and herself. You felt your cheeks turning beet red.

"I'd normally say just kiss, But... this time I'm thinking the classic seven minutes in heaven." Harrison pipes up. "Okay. (Y/N)," Tom stood up and put his hand out for you. You took it and pulled yourself up, shooting a glance back at the group and then let Tom pull you to a closet that was out of earshot.

Harrison came behind you and shut the door so you were now surrounded by darkness and you were trapped. "So..." Tom chuckled, "we don't have to actually do anything, but we should talk, I mean there's something here, you can't tell me you don't feel it." He trailed off almost to a whisper. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel it." You smiled as His hand brushed against your arm. You reached for it holding it tight in your grasp.

You reached with your other hand up to find his cheek. "Maybe... we could, you know, just to defuse the tension." You let a shaky breath. "Well I mean- I don't- we should really give them something right?" Tom said stepping closer to you. "Most definitely." You pulled yourself up to meet his lips.

It just felt right, you fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. He lightly pushed you against the wall and you put your hands in his hair, "this feel so good." "Agreed." You let out a small laugh, "Tom? Remind me why we didn't do this sooner." "I have not the slightest fucking clue." You moved your lips back his and melted in his arms. "should we tell people? The press I mean." You asked "I don't even know," Tom laughed and joined him going back into a makeout session. 

But sadly the two of you were met with the door swinging open. "So, how was it." Harrison smirked, you patted down your hair and smiled a little. Tom came out behind you and Harrison started laughing. You turned to see what was so funny and saw Tom had your lipstick smeared all over his lips and a little on his neck. You chuckled and used your thumb to wipe some of it off. When you went back to the living room Tom clapped his hands and yelled "we're official." You smiled and sat down as the others lightly cheered, this time not afraid to let his arm find its way around you.

"We're not going to release it to the press yet. We don't want or need the extra drama." You smiled. Zendaya nodded, "as long as the air is loose I'm good." And it was. Tom and You were a lot more relaxed and could exactly act on your thoughts that you used to push aside.

Pearls are so good. Like most places I go to don’t add anything to the pearls so it’s just bland squishy balls but the place I frequent adds I think honey to sweeten them. Hahah I think it’s me. I haven’t heard anyone say “go ham” except for the people who go to my school. I find it really funny tho so I try to incorporate it whenever I can LOL easily burnt? Can’t relate but apparently I easily tan. There’s this one diagonal stripe on my shoulder that separates pale me and tan me which ??? How did that happen and what was I wearing for that to happen??

It’s all fun and games until you go outside and see a mountain of snow waiting for you to be shovelled. But there are some good aspects to winter, like skating and skiing and all that fun stuff. Snow is so heavy?? Or maybe I’m just weak but after I finish shovelling I’m beat. Gardening is not my thing. There’s too many bugs involved flying around 🥴

Love with Nowhere to Go *trigger warning*

Today was National Survivors of Suicide Day.  National Survivors of Suicide Day was designated by the United States Congress as a day when the friends and family of those who have died by suicide can join together for healing and support.

I didn’t know this day exists. But at the same time, I’m glad it does. I know a few people who have lost someone to suicide. Believe it or not, I met these people when I was in the psych hospital being treated for the suicide plan that I had. Uhm ...  I do not go into depth when I talk about this ... because I still cannot say exactly what made me feel suicide was the answer. 

Surprisingly a lot of professionals that work in this part of the hospital - have lost someone to suicide. I spoke to several medical professionals “off the record” about my decision to end my life. They begged that I do not do it and I’m thinking - wtf do u really care??? Why the hell can’t I do this - you say that doing it is selfish - I think that you trying to stop me is selfish because you want me to stay in my pain.  I started thinking. I WISH they would let me leave. 

My mother told me that if I decided to leave - she would have me committed back in. At that point, I had no leg to stand on. Somewhere during my stay at not 1, not 2 but 3 hospitals over a time period of 2 months - a longtime friend of the family - lost his daughter to suicide. At this time my mother took it upon herself to call me and let me know how ANGRY she was at my decision to take my own life. I had already been warned by my counselor that this would happen - and I should allow her to speak and get it out - so I did. I was hurting for her at that point - but nonetheless, I was not happy about the fact that December 31st, 2015, 11:30 pm was going to pass w/o me being able to take my cocktail of pills - and NOT see 2016. I was ANGRY because I had no means of doing it - they took all my drugs - I was being monitored every 15 damn minutes - I WAS JUST PISSED. 

During this time I had a friend who was ill. She hit me up and she said - hey I don’t wanna die they better figure out whats wrong with me - shiiiii  - and we joked because her not being here or facing death was so far from our reality. I didn't tell her at that time that I was planning to die. I had already written all the suicide letter to each person individually - I had been planning this since July - so I’m like - they are messing up my plans dammit. 

The day after Christmas she passed away. The person that did NOT want to die had died - and the person that wanted to die was left here - facing this physical pain and mental torment. And I had so much love for her - with nowhere to put it. I wanted to tell her it would be alright. I wanted to let her know that she mattered. I got a chance to tell her I loved her - and for that I’m grateful. I’m the one that kept making her go to the doctor - cause something was wrong. I did all I could for her - when she was here and I’m so happy that she knew I loved her. But ... she wasn’t here and I felt empty. 

It wasn’t until that time that I realized - what I would do to my family - and it would probably be 10x worse. They were doing all they could to help me, but nonetheless, I didn't want to be here. All the love they had for me - was NOT enough for me to want to be here - their love could NOT soothe this mental and physical pain I was going through.  

When I left the hospital 2 months later - I made my mother and my best friend a promise - that I would not do harm to myself. So that also meant - physically taking care of me. That was the hardest promise to make and keep - and it has been now for almost 2 years. This is not easy - I know that. I still have thoughts of suicide - I’m not going to lie and say I don’t - but I remember the promise. 

I want to say ... to those who are survivors of a loss to suicide. You are strong. It’s not your fault. It should be no guilt. There are so many things in this world that make us WANT to take our own lives and some of us are so sensitive that we feel the best way is to leave. Not knowing that the taking of 1 life will change so many lives. Not realizing that the taking of one life - can leave so many others alive - but dead inside. Not able to go on - or just lost spinning in a world where they have so much love and nowhere to put it. 

My mother and my best friends and my team of awesome friends - are what keeps me going. God carries me - and has blessed me with these people. I think what I want to say as someone that has been on the other side - please forgive your loved one that did this. It is an illness ... in some cases one that cannot be helped without meds. It is a pain - and it feels like the only way out - is to leave out. Many don’t understand, and I don’t expect this to make families understand - but please know - it wasn’t done to hurt you - it was done to not feel hurt again. 

And this is all from my perspective and experience. I know I scared my family, I know that in some cases I still do scare my family and friends. I still have friends who ask - did you take your meds? I use to get angry about that - but now I know they’re just helping. Because of love. Because right now - they have love and they know where to direct it - and that's what we’re about. 

I am so sorry for those who have all that love with nowhere to direct it - to you, I send blessings of peace and love. I ask that you put that love into yourself - and know that you are still here - despite a huge trauma ... and you are stronger than most. Love yourself and take no blame.
