julie about daniel: "my heart is racing, the world nearly stops, i lose control when i'm around you" "could there be a future for something between the two of us?" Julie and the Phantoms vs. Julie e os Fantasmas
I had recently been practicing my Portuguese and listening to music in that language, which lead me to the soundtrack of Julie e os Fantasmas. The original Brazilian version of the show. Funny how music works, because the more I listened to the songs the more I remembered about the show. Which is why I decided to make a list about the main differences between the shows.
First, the Brazilian cast and the name of their counterparts so you know who am I referring to:
Side note before we start, their music is also pretty cool. My favorite one is Essa noite somos um so (Tonight we are one). You can find it on Spotify:
The Brazilian show lasted 1 season with 26 episodes, which were divided in two parts from 2011 to 2012. However, the show was always planned with one season only, so it had a proper closure.
In the original version, Julie isn’t dealing with the loss of her mother. Her mother is alive but decided to take a job far away from them, which leads to Julie resenting her because she feels that her mother doesn’t care about them and only shows when it is convenient for her. This makes Julie feel invisible across her life.
Both shows revolve around music and how much Julie loves it. Julie (BR) suffers from stage panic, one of the reasons she had never sing in front of people. The phantoms help her with this. Also, her preferred instrument is the guitar.
The phantoms had a more tragic death on the BR version. They were trying to replicate The Beatles’ Abbey Road cover, but where hit by a truck and died instantly. One member was alive, but he retired from the music industry after the accident. They had been dead for over 30 years and were trapped on a vinyl record instead of a CD.
The phantoms don’t have their instruments like the new version. After they help Julie with her stage panic, she buys them new instruments and decides to form the band.
The name of the band on the show is Os Insólitos (The Unusuals). They play in different venues and parties across the season. Unlike the new version, they sing the same songs repeatedly across the episodes. There are some special episodes where they reveal a new song.
The Julies share basically the same personality on both shows. Martim and Reggie are also really similar, being a flirt and a little bit clueless. Felix is way more anxious and fearful than Alex, he was scared of ghosts since he was a kid and being turned into one didn’t help with that. Daniel and Luke are probably the ones with different personalities, while Luke is this cutie that falls for Julie almost immediately; Daniel is egocentric and cold at the beginning of the show. It takes a long time for him to warm up to Julie and is resentful against the world for what happened to them. He had a lot of character development during the season.
Pedro (Carlos) and Bia (Flynn) learn about the ghost right after Julie does. Pedro and Martim develop a friendship based on pranks and jokes.
Julie, Pedro and Bia are the only ones that can actually see the phantoms. Whenever they play in the band, they hide behind masks and keep the idea as a mystery to attract followers.
Julie and Thalita (Carrie) were also friends when they were younger. The reason their friendship didn’t lasted, was because Julie realized that Thalita was a bully that picked up on other girls. Julie cut out all communication with her, which Thalita didn’t took well and continued to antagonize her until they were teens.
The main difference is that Caleb doesn’t exist in this original version, there is an agent of the Ghost Police that looks for the boys because he is convinced they escaped the rules of death. They should have crossed over, but never did. There also some kind of ghostbuster that is looking for them.
At the end of the first part of the season, the boy say goodbye to Julie because they are planning to cross over; however it is later revealed that the ghostbuster capture them. They manage to escape and return with Julie.
Daniel develops feelings for Julie in the second part of the season, Julie also starts liking him, but she also likes Nicolas who had been her crush for years. Nicolas and Julie start spending more time together after he broke up with Thalita, and he develops feelings for Julie. At the end of the show Julie ends up choosing Nicolas, because she had liked him longer and he makes this grand gesture for her at school. She has a talk with Daniel about what they feel, and they both decide to still be friends and continue with the band.
Some fun facts: The show was sponsored by Monster High, so you can see a lot of merchandise in the show; Julie even dresses up as Frankie Stein for a Halloween party. The show was super popular, earning nominations for Kids Awards in LATAM.

Watched episode 3 of "Julie e Os Fantasmas" today (thanks again @girlstuffnorp for the subtitles!!). It's so funny how Brazilian Portuguese sounds like my native language, but I still don't understand it. The more I watch and automatically repeat certain words, the more I sound like... a native speaker?
Also I really love this episode. There are so many storylines intertwined. The boys want to get back into performing in public => Julie has trouble writing lyrics => she and Bia fight because the boys, scared of SP, don't want to reveal their existence => Daniel goes to a concert => Daniel advises Julie to make peace with Bia => the boys show up for her and Pedro => they all organize aperformance on stage.
I was a little surprised to see the opinion that Julie and Daniel started out hating each other. Even in this episode, it's pretty clear that they didn't. Daniel snorts at her way of writing but he keeps playing. Julie wants the boys to show up for Bia because she doesn't want to hide anything from her best friend? Daniel gives in because it's important to Julie, even when he's threatened by SP. I really love that dynamic. I also love that Martim and Félix didn't throw away Julie's stuff. I miss their interactions in the later episodes. They could have been like big brothers to Julie and Pedro.

love me some netflix julie and the phantoms but Julie e os Fantasmas was my whole childhood (although it was very white and straight not proud of that part)
Guys, I don't know if everybody knows this but Julie and the Phantoms from Netflix is actually a remake of a brazilian TV show called Julie e os Fantasmas (or Julie and the Phantoms).
Julie was played by a great actress called Mariana Lessa; Daniel (Luke) was played by Bruno Sigristi; Felix (Alex) was played by Fabio Rabello; and Martim (Reggie) was played by Marcello Ferrari.

okay i saw this while browsing through my tags as usual and i had to tell you guys about the differences between julie e os fantasmas and julie and the phantoms!! (the ones i remember anyway cause it’s been almost ten years already)
– first of all: it was much darker. the boys were somber, there was little to no comic relief in their arc (from what i recall) and even their appearance was like that, they were really, really pale and had deep dark circles under their eyes—they leaned into more of a stereotypical image of a ghost
– okay. the way they died: a lot of people think that the way the boys died in jatp was really ironic and kinda “funny” (in air quotes cause dying is not funny. anyway) but the boy’s death in the original was like.....darker too. they were trying to recreate the cover of abbey road - the beatles and a car hit them
– their sound is also different. in the original, they died in the 80s and not the 90s (which makes sense if you consider that the shows also have a 10 age gap between them) so their sound was more like the rock brazilian bands from that era
– there was no hologram act, they performed with julie wearing these animal masks thing and i honestly don’t recall how things worked lol
– and their personalities: okay i don’t remember that very all either but there’s little things that kinda speak to the new version of the characters. the original reggie (martim) was also a flirt and the funniest of them. alex (felix) was also anxious and the one who worried the most. but luke (daniel) ohhh boy:
– i’m not gonna sugarcoat it: he was a massive asshole. omg i hated him !! he was arrogant, very cold, had a superiority complex and was kinda mean to julie of all people. seriously. i think in the first ep he called her ordinary and said “you’re way more invisible than me” or something like that. ugh what an asshole, no wonder i didn’t ship them back then. i’m SO glad luke’s personality changed completely cause seriously folks–
ok there’s one more thing but idk it could be a bit of a spoiler ? i don’t know!! oh well. it’s under the cut anyway:
– julie x nick it’s endgame. i mean, given the luke we had in the original i was glad tbh. i don’t remember much of the original nick (his name was one of the few that didn’t change) but he could’ve not been worse than original luke. srsly.
but we’ve got a super cute luke now and it makes me sad to think about that finale even though the whole human x ghost deal hasn’t changed but ughhh
#that's it!!#it's been a loooong time#my fellow brazilians feel free to correct me in anything i might have gotten wrong#or feel free to add stuff i forgot to mention!#julie and the phantoms#jatp#talky juli

JULIE E OS FANTASMAS & JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS
A few announcements before this long rambling message
a) I was 13 when Julie e os Fantasmas came out, so most of my takes come from that
b) I’m not gonna bash any of the shows, it’s simply my take on them and the characters
c) English is not my first language, so I’m sorry if there’s any mistakes
d) I don’t plan to post spoilers but I’ll put it on a read more either way!
JULIE & JULIE
Brazilian!Julie didn’t have a dead mom, let’s start there. Julie was also very shy and insecure, the show focused on the phantoms (+ Bia) helping her navigate her teen years, the romance she had with Daniel was a bonus.
American!Julie has a dead mom, however, her inability to sing in public seems to come from bothe the fact that music was her connection with her mom and that she has stage fright (like Brazilian!Julie). It’s interesting to see that even tho both Julies were described the same, American!Julie seemed to have more confidence in herself.
That being said, Brazilian!Julie is still my favorite, her “Emo but not really emo” attitude resonated a lot withy younger self.
BIA & FLYNN
To be honest, I don’t remember much of Bia other than her being Julie’s best friend and being described as smart. I’m gonna say that Bia could see the Phantoms without them having to be playing (I’m gonna speak more on it later)
Flynn, to me, seems to be more flashed out, even if she has little screen time, she’s also Julie’s best friend and seems to be sometimes the voice of reason. I wish we can see more of her character next season
THE PHANTOMS
An important note: in Brazil version, they had a band called Apolo 81, they were from the 80s and were clearly inspired by MCR
DANIEL & LUKE
by far the character that had most of their personality changed.
Daniel started the show being full of himself, borderline being arrogant, it was his way or his way. That, however, changed as the episodes went on, we saw a softer side to him, especially when he started to develop feelings for Julie.
Now with Luke, it seemed that they chose to skip this first part and I’m thankful for that. Daniel would often get into my nerves, and with Luke that didn’t happen. I’ll say that it would be nice see Luke and Julie bickering.
MARTIM & REGGIE
The himbo energy in this post just got to 200%.
The personality mostly stayed the same, they were both the funny one, the flirty one and honestly? My favorite!
(They’re iconic in both version and they steal the show)
FELIX & ALEX
There were some aspects that were kept the same, the are both very concerned about their status as ghosts, they seem to be very scared cats.
HOWEVER Alex definitely got the better end, he got to explore his sexuality in a story arc across the season, which didn’t happen with Felix.
OTHER CHARACTERS
Brazilian!Nick (Nicolas) outsold! He actually has a personality and something more than being interested in Julie.
Also I love how American!Julie is not so obsessed with Nick.
Thalita & Carrie were you stereotypical mean girl so no surprise there, I’ll say tho that Carrie seems very Sharpay-esque.
Brazilian!Julie’s brother actually got to have storylines that didn’t involved his tia or his family, he also had his own friends (please search the first ep and his plot with the gold fishes, it’s iconic)
About the villains: the original version had the Spectre Police, they controlled every detailed about all phantoms, one of the rules? The phantoms couldn’t show themselves to humans. THATS A CHANGE THAT I DIND’T LIKE. In the original they could choose who would see them (Julie being the exception), meaning that they could interact with the other cast.
Cheyenne’s character tho? It’s a nice spin. A ghost club where the host keeps your soul(?) also I’m excited to see what they’ll do with the whole possession thing.
OVERALL: both shows are great and if you haven’t seen the original you should totally search some clips or even their music on YouTube!!

some random differences between ‘julie e os fantasmas’ and ‘julie and the phantoms’ while I finish editing my masterpost on the plot of the og brazilian version:
- brazilian julie’s mom isn’t dead
- the ghosts are from a band in the 80s
- the ghosts can make themselves seen to anyone they want to, but they aren’t supposed to (they show themselves to julie’s best friend and her brother as early as episode 3)
- there’s no club hollywood but there is an “spectral” police that monitors and punishes them if they break the rules
- the ghosts play wearing animal masks and head to toe coverings in order to hide the fact that they’re ghosts
- the ghosts also wear the same outfits throughout the whole show (and some heavy white powder and black eyeliner to show that they’re dead)
- most of the characters are REALLY different. The biggest difference imo is between Luke and Daniel (brazilian Luke). Félix and Martim’s (Alex and Reggie) are the most similar ones.
- here Julie has stronger feelings for Nicholas than she does for Daniel. Her crush on Daniel lasts a couple episodes while her crush on Nicholas lasts the whole show. She almost kisses Daniel but doesn’t because she still has feelings for Nicholas.
- Julie’s brother has a lot of scenes and him and the ghosts are really good friends
- we hardly ever see Julie’s dad and we only see her mom once towards the end of the show
(I’m sure there’s more but these are the major ones I can think of)

Julie and the Phantoms (2011): What I wanted to see if there was a 2nd season
Hello, my lovely people! Julie e os Fantasmas is relevant again, and I am old enough to have a Tumblr blog now, so:
I present you, based on the info the show left us with, an Enthusiastic List of Things I would have loved to see if the show had not been cancelled. Now, buckle up!
Learn more about Nicolas. I feel like one of the reasons why a lot of us preferred Daniel and Julie to end up together is because the show made us care about him. He was relatively interesting and very flawed, but deep within his heart, Daniel was a good person. Nicolas is a good guy, scared of what others may think of him if he acted “out of character” and showed his true self, he’s funny, sweet and... that’s about it. Oh, and he cares about Julie! I want to know more about him, so that I can care about him as much as I care about Daniel.
Have the phantoms help Demetrius. I, personally, would love to see them go on a small adventure. The last time we saw him, he was sulking in that bar with a glass of ectoplasmatic juice, and told them to wait and see, that it was not it yet. Well, yeah, uh, we never got to hear from him again. So, what if... he needed help to trap someone who was causing big trouble? Maybe this person messed up one of their concerts, and will continue to do so unless they stop them somehow. Maybe it is someone who Martim and Félix upsetted, and now... well, either they have them ruin their concerts repeatedly, or their team up with Demetrius and get rid of them.
Explore Martim and Félix’s characters. What things do we know about them? They’re funny, caring, The Big Bros. Félix is a bit scaredy, and Martim is pretty flirty. They’re great, but, what else is there? Would love to get to know them better. What were they like alive? The same as now? Can we get to know them a lot better, please? They’re Julie’s friends, one of their roles is, basically, comic relief, they are like Pedrinho’s big brothers, and Daniel’s good friends. I feel like there’s other stuff that could be explored.
New phantom friend! Chaos ensues, a friendly ghost appears out of nowhere and sticks to the group! Maybe they are a fan, maybe they attended that first concert at Klaus’ shop back in the very first days of Os Insólitos. Who are they? Do they get to know Julie too? Maybe they’re a lovestruck admirer who can’t help but follow them around. What if they go from annoying to somewhat tolerable, but end up being confused as that bothersome ghost that Demetrius is after? Lets have this be a lesson on not judging a book by its cover. Do they all stay friends? Are they a reocurrent character?
Bia and Valtinho (finally!) have a cute date. I want to see Bia open up to him and see them hang out together like a couple, dammit! See them share a fun date as they explore their relationship. Ice cream at the park? Bia shows him her favourite discs at Klaus’, Valtinho somehow convinces her to watch some of his favourite horror films and they actually end up having a really good time together. Please.
Double date! Julie and Nicolas, Valtinho and Bia! While we are on the subject of exploring relationships, how about... A double date? Not sure how it would play out, but I can tell it’d be fun to see them all interact together in this kind of scenario. Somehow, I can see Valtinho being really agaisnt it at first, but end up being the most enthusiastic one about it, hahah.
D&D centered episode as Nicolas fully embraces his nerdy side. Like, yes, please and thank you. Have him make up with his friends, and slowly go back to normal. Tell his other friends that either they accept him as he is or they’re no longer his friends, since real friends love and accept every side of you, no matter how different to them they might be. Real friends love you, despite not liking some of the stuff you do. Real friends accept each other, appreciate each other. Same thing goes for his nerdy friends. Lets make Nicolas have a small arc where he also learns to fully accept himself. The show left a lot of room for character exploration and development, lets do exactly that, shall we?
We see Daniel get over Julie. He and his sulky butt have to move on. It won’t be easy, it’ll be hard. Very hard, even, but as he himself wrote “who am I to change what the world chose for me?” There’s a lot of character development that happened in the series, but I think we all need to see him learn how to love. Learn how jelousy and possesiveness can screw things up, and how learning to let go will bring a lot of relief. He does learn a good lesson in the series, yes, but... I want him in a healthy relationship. Let Daniel be happy, dammit!
These are all as of now! Might add some new ones if I come up with more!
Feel free to reblog and add yours if you have any!

Netflix Originals Coming in Fall 2020
There are hundreds of television shows and movies on Netflix. And when you try to find something online, it cannot be very clear. Netflix Originals has plenty of such options and brand new content. However, not every series has been a success. And some receive a lot of appraisal from audiences and critics. Netflix is premiering news shows in the coming weeks. In this article, we will list down some most and least appealing contents.
The Haunting Of Bly Manor
The Haunting of Bly Manor is the American horror drama television series, directed and created by Mike Flanagan for streaming content of Netflix. The show is loosely based on the novel written by Henry James titled The Turn of the Screw. It will be a sequel series of Haunting of Hill House. The show is scheduled to premiere on 9 October 2020. The plot follows a young governess hired to take care of a man’s nephew and niece at the family country. After arriving at Bly estate, she experiences ghostly features that proceed to haunt.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mike said that until Paramount, Netflix, and Amblin want one, he does not wish to speculate on season two. He added the story of the Crain family is told, and it’s done. However, Bly Manor will not have any dramatic link with Hill House, apart from two actors Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Victoria Pedretti, as new characters. The series and shooting production started from 30 September 2019 and wrapped up on 21 February 2020.
Mike Flanagan has proved his excellence in large and small screens, and fans desperately wait for 9 October.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again
The Princess Switch is an American romantic comedy, screenplay written by Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger, and directed by Mike Rohl. The movie stars Sam Palladio, Vanessa Hudgen, and Nick Sagar. The sequel of the franchise title The Princess Switch: Switched Again is under production, and the team could release it anytime in 2020. The first season was released on 16 November 2018 on Netflix, and the plot revolves around a young baker Stacy DeNovo, who owns a successful pastry shop in Chicago. DeNovo manages the shop with her best friend Kevin; the latter has a daughter who is a young ballet dancer. Stacy has broken up with her boyfriend Paul, and Paul entered their business in a baking competition in the Kingdom of Belgravia. Although she was reluctant to participate in the competition as Christmas is an awful reminder of her relationship with Paul. If you did not enjoy the first movie, then probably the second one is not for you. The plot is very similar to a lot of movies out there; it has nothing new to serve its audiences. It will release around December this year.
The Devil All The Time
The Devil All The Time is the upcoming American psychological thriller movie based on the Donal Ray Pollock’s novel of the same name. The film is produced by Jake Gyllenhaal and Randall Poster and co-written and directed by Antonio Campos. The movie stars Tom Holland, Riley Keough, Bill Skarsgard, Sebastian Stan, Jason Clarke, Robert Pattinson, and Eliza Scanlen. The Devil All The Time is scheduled to be released on 16 September 2020 on Netflix. The movie’s shooting started on 19 February 2019 in Alabama with locations Pell City, Anniston, Birmingham, and Montevallo, and the filming finished on 15 April 2019.
Tom Holland is in Arvin’s character in the movie, and he will trip into the dark side of the battle, murderous drifters, and scarred memories of his past. According to the trailer, the movie will be dark and horror-noir.
Julie And The Phantoms
Julie e os Fantasmas aka Julie and the Phantoms is the Brazilian television series produced by Rede Bandeirantes along with Nickelodeon Brazil. The show was divided into two phases, the first one in 2011, and the second one in 2012. The screenplay of the series is written by Tiago Mello Fabio Danesi, Paula Knudsen, Ricardo Tiezzi, Daniela Garuti, Dani Garuti, and five more. Mariana Lessa is in the role of protagonist Julie. The plot revolved around her life and experience when she met three ghosts: Daniel, Martim, Felix — played by Bruno Sigrist, Marcelo Ferrari, and Fabio Rabello. The show won the APCA Trophy in the category for “best children’s program” and was also nominated for Kids Emmy Awards, My Nick Awards, and Kids’ Choice Awards.
If teen musicals are your genre, then this film is for you. However, the twist about the phantom in the series is formulaic. But if you want to watch something less predictable, then you should watch something else.
Rebecca
Rebecca is the upcoming British romantic thriller movie, screenplay written by Joe Shrapnel, Anna Waterhouse, and Jane Goldman, and directed by Ben Wheatley. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by author Daphne du Maurier. It stars Armie Hammer, Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Tom Goodman-Hill, Sam Riley, and Ann Dowd. Rebecca is scheduled to release on 21 October 2020 on Netflix.
Lily James is playing the woman who married widower Maxim de Winter and found herself living under the shadow of Winter’s dead wife, Rebecca. Director Wheatley promised to add a fresh spin to surprise its audiences who are familiar with the novel.
Mank
Mank is the upcoming American drama, written by Gary Oldman along with Howard Kelly “Jack” Fincher, directed by the latter’s son, David Fincher. In the cast, Gary Oldman as the protagonist, Lily Collins, Amanda Seyfried, Charles Dance, and Tom Burke lend their fantastic support as the rest of the characters. Fincher is famous for his movies like Fight Club, Mindhunter, and Citizen Kane. Mank is one of the most awaited films and is widely expected to receive Oscars. Mank is the film about the classic screenwriter of 1941 of the same name as the title; the plot will follow his professional and personal setback during the making of the film.
The above are some upcoming Netflix Original content that might help to choose your next movie or series.
Tim Cross is from Ohio USA. Before he started writing blogs he went through various occupations such as teaching, programming and travelling. But his favorite job is writing blogs for antivirus technology for mcafee.com/activate.

Why I still miss Julie e os Fantasmas
It is very interesting to watch the fandom Julie and the Phantoms (Netflix). They're so desperately waiting for the second season four years after the release of the first one. I even came across YouTube Shorts where someone from the cast said that they'd like to return to the project. But do you know who else probably would be happy to return to their series? The actors of the original.
Firstly, in 2021 there were rumors that a full-length film with old actors would be released.
Secondly, I was struck by: a) the interest with which Bruno Sigrist (aka Daniel) watched the remake trailer. I'd also watch his reaction to the first episode, but the problem is that there're no subtitles; b) in 2015 and 2020 (online, respectively), Bruno and Mariana (Julie) had reunions on YouTube. I absolutely don’t understand their language, but shipper feels the content on an international level... Okay, these are all the people from the comments, they ship them too.
Thirdly, the two castes know each other personally, and that's nice.
But I'm still not going to watch the remake. Why? The difference is in the details. If you look at the main actors, some questions arise. Everything is too much in Netflix... smooth. Yes, these are still the words of a kdrama fan, but listen to the rest. When I look at Daniel, Felix and Martim, I believe they could have been a band sometime in the eighties. I believe that Felix, being a drummer, was always careful, and Martim (bassist), on the contrary, flirted with everyone... There was a headcanon that he was once interested in Julie, but quickly backed off out of respect for Daniel. I believe that Daniel was an ideological inspirer during his lifetime, who sought to promote their music. He sees Julie as the same single-minded girl (albeit with a primary stage fright).
Now let's take a look at the facts about the remake. Julie loved to play here before her mother died. She is played by a real sixteen-year-old girl. Her and Luke (alt!Daniel) chemistry is noticeable to everyone at performances.
Now Luke. He's a choleric. A sensitive songwriter, regrets that he never reconciled with his parents, is consistently encouraging and gentle towards his bandmates, and is the character who cries the most on screen. He's responsible for a decent part of the fanservice due to the musculature. A fairly open wardrobe.
Alex. Melancholic. He downplays his achievements compared to the rest of the band, and lacks confidence in unfamiliar situations.
Reggie. The bass player. In general, he is very similar to Martim, there is nothing to add.
From the good news, I note that they decided to write about the guys more. They added problems with their parents (Kenny Ortega brought Disney with him). The latter is a dubious plus, because although it reveals the past, it's a cliche. You may remember Casper or Melchior (Binny und der Geist)... Okay, it's similar to Casper, I'm being picky. But to Melchior's credit, I'll say that the search for the clock and the solution to the messages of his parents is his unfinished business.
And now specifically. They believes that it was a good idea to "skip" the dark part of Daniel's character and leave him Austin Moon at maximum. Why is there such an analogy? Btw, I really love Austin Moon. Austin wears closed clothes for most of the series, undressing either for gags or for beach episodes. Austin is also considered a "golden retriever." And the most obvious thing is that they are both vocalists and guitarists.
Somewhere around here, people may want to say, "But, Lira, we love good boys." They also love love/hate, btw, hello to Dramione. I'm sorry for the possible aggression, I just really don't understand two things.
1) The situation with dislike for Daniel's character makes me pat Bruno Sigrist on the head. The man, by the way, was very optimistic about the remake of the series, where he once starred, and was glad that this idea would be released on Netflix... And here it is, the backlash. You won't be nice by force, but I'm sincerely offended for him. Yes, he doesn't have the most typical beautiful appearance (unlike Charles Gillepsey, who played Luke), although I like it, but he has amazing charisma and a pleasant voice. In addition, it seems to refer to the situation with the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. Some seriously skip the first one in favor of a more comely and younger Tennant. I categorically condemn it.
2) Is it Julie and Daniel love/hate? Seriously? Yes, they have a primary natural rivalry for the position of leader, but it's never hatred. If Daniel had really hated Julie at least at first, he wouldn't have spied on Nick for the sake of returning the girl to the group and, moreover, lying so as not to hurt her feelings. Yes, he fidgets and often responds with sarcasm, but Julie isn't far behind. Moreover, the transition to the gentle side doesn't look abrupt — you believe in it.
Dramas with families. Well, I have nothing to hide here. It's a good background. Except that for some reason it's believed that adding the death of Julie's mother takes the series away from the "typical teen drama." No, it adds an extra resemblance to Casper. And no matter how much I love the appearance of Casper the human (Devon Sawa, my respects), this similarity doesn't make it better.
