I've seen that you've been asked about how Taylor Swift used Sabrina to use her "rivalry" with Olivia Rodrigo to promote The Eras Tour and not use Olivia as the opening act.

That thought seems shitty to me, first of all I hate that competition that they force to have between Sabrina and Olivia, it seems disastrous to me.

Second, Olivia did not need promotion to act as an opening act for anyone at that stage of her career, she already had a solid and large enough fan base that followed and consumed her music to make a place for herself in the industry, and she was also looking to break away. from the title of "The New Taylor Swift."

On the other hand, Sabrina, due to her contract with Disney and a terrible marketing job with her old work team, clearly not due to a lack of talent on her part, made it more difficult for her to integrate into the industry and thanks to her presentations on The Eras Tour, he was able to make his place in the industry. Eh, this is only good to some extent. There's still quite a significant portion of "Zutara Alternate Reality" nonsense.

For starters: Katara's suffering of having to grow up to fast and take on the role of "mom" before she was ready literally only happened BECAUSE of the Fire Nation. Saying she could ever find freedom from oppression by marrying into said nation - one that has way more evidence of sexism than the air-nomads AND Southern Water Tribe, on top of all the freaking racism and literal genocide - is absurd. Just because marrying the Fire Lord would mean living in a palace and having access to luxury, it does NOT mean Katara would feel empowered, respected, and like she's home.

I also completely reject this idea that Aang tried to force her into being anything other than what she actually was and "doesn't get" that she is a fighter and warrior. That boy literally offered to go to the North Pole so SHE could learn to fight. Aang didn't want her to murder Yon Rah because, unlike Zuko, he knew and understood Katara already. She is not a murderer, she does not believe in an eye for an eye - that's why the episode ends with Katara realizing that. Why she didn't go for the kill despite not choosing forgiveness either.

Just because he thought of the girl he repeatedly flirted with and kissed twice as being "his girl", in the sense of "romantically involved with him", it does NOT mean he thought of her as property. A poorly timed kiss that he clearly regreted the second he realized it upset her proves that. Hell, the fact that he ASKED her to tell him how she felt already proves that. A 12-year-old being confused at the notion of "No, I don't think of you as a little brother and I do have feelings for you, but I don't know if I want to date" is not the same as him feeling like he's OWED a relationship with her, or sees her just as a potential girlfriend instead of a person he cares about regardless of that.

And for real, can we stop pretending sexism was ever that relevant in the story? The only two sexist characters in the show were Sokka and Pakku, and both were very short arcs. Katara lost her childhood because of the war Zuko's family imposed on the world, and that he was supporting for a long time. She regained her freedom and joy when she met Aang, because he helped empower her through their journey all over the world AND gave her the chance to be a kid again.

Katara's hope for, and key to, a better life has ALWAYS been Aang - that's why she reminds us of her unwavering faith in him AT THE START OF EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.

I am adding to my post about the hypocritical logic between how they react to Eloise and how they react to Penelope regarding their inappropriate encounters with men.

I understand that, within the show, the high society of Mayfair might call Eloise a "whore" and "stupid" because that society doesn't know what really happened in those encounters. It’s outrageous that Eloise is judged for meeting with Theo, and people automatically think they're sleeping together. But I can't even question that reality because it’s not a modern reality; it’s a misogynistic thought from the 1800s. We are supposed to have advanced as a society to stop thinking like this.

What's worse is that it seems we haven't advanced because we, as modern viewers, know exactly what was happening in Eloise's meetings with Theo. Even so, we insist on judging Eloise with the same misogynistic and favoritist mentality from the 1800s. It's incomprehensible that now we show favoritism towards a medium/large-sized woman, as if to highlight one woman (Penelope), we must bring down another (Eloise) to ensure Penelope doesn't lose prominence.

We allow Penelope to get a free pass for her actions, whether it's criticizing others, harming other girls, or doing things that another woman would be severely judged for (like having encounters with men without a chaperone) simply because she is a larger size. However, we don't give the same benefit to other women like Eloise. This demonstrates blatant hypocrisy in our judgment. If we are going to judge, it should be with the same standard and not based on superficial favoritism that only perpetuates stereotypes and discriminations we supposedly want to eradicate.

It’s not just a problem of historical context or the characters themselves but a reflection on how we, as a contemporary audience, continue to reproduce unfair and harmful patterns of judgment. We need to question why we find this double standard acceptable and how we can change our perspectives to be truly fair and equitable in our criticisms and appreciations.

As a fan of Taylor Swift's music, what bothers me the most about some of her followers (which is not the same as being a fan of her music) is that instead of using their time and energy to listen to her, to follow her tour peacefully, to enjoy and support her career as an artist, they are more concerned with throwing hate at Taylor's imaginary enemies. This includes people like Joe Alwyn, simply for being her ex, Olivia Rodrigo, a talented and successful young artist, based on rumors of a nonexistent lawsuit, and Charli XCX, just because she's having success on the charts and supposedly taking the number one spot from Taylor somewhere.

I find it ridiculous the level of hate, time, and effort that some fans dedicate to these negative attitudes. Instead of focusing on enjoying Taylor's music and celebrating her achievements, they choose to attack other artists who are also working hard in their careers.

Moreover, these toxic attitudes benefit no one. The attacks and hatred towards other artists create a hostile and unpleasant environment, both on social media and in real life. Instead of contributing to a community of fans who support their idol in a positive way, this behavior only generates division and conflict.

taylors view of herself of constantly being the underdog (even though she hasnt even been close to being an underdog in years) has also been spread into the fanbase. they view her as a victim and infantilize her constantly, she's the biggest artist in the world on the biggest tour in the world with the biggest album in the world and yet to them, she's constantly at odds with other artists and they are a threat to her, the fans feel the need to be protective of their 'most famous' artist who's not in competition with anyone by hating on and threatening them for no reason at all and it's truly wild they think she's not untouchable at this point (for better or worse).

Time passes by so quickly, isn't? I didn't realize how this "happy crushing" would go for a year now. It was an amazing feeling I've felt after quite some time. To be honest, I was just suppose to admire you from afar since I was still scared. Scared of actually entering a new relationship.

But with all the things I've seen, on and off stream, you made me want to try. You made me able to breathe again. It was silly, I know. Flirting through chats, in this godfosaken internet thing. I know it made me look like I was a typical Filipino who makes everything a dating app but believe me when I said that I really did like you. My feelings were real, and it might seem really unbelievable 'cause we haven't met yet but I was sure of liking you, 'cause if I weren't, my bones wouldn't have this chattering sound like they're about to break whenever you reply to my messages.

You don't have to worry, though. I wasn't at the point where I'm falling because I knew, I knew from the start that things between us will never develop. From the way you reply, down to the way you treat me, I knew. But I didn't like having second thoughts nor what ifs. I don't like having regrets especially to you, who have shown me that my standards can really exist from this ever changing world.

So before I completely move forward in life, I want you to know the things that have made me like you. You're grateful and appreciative, remember the first time we talked? You thanked me for something so little that I did. You're so patient. You've listened to all the things I've explained, even gave me assurance that I wasn't invading your personal space. You don't get mad so easily. I know, I've done a lot of stupid things that might have caused misunderstandings. Esp your birth month, until now, it makes me cry that you've actually accepted such selfish request from me and even shutting your mouth when your friends and the viewers begun teasing you about it. I've put you onto a lot of awkward situation that you could have reprimanded me—but you didn't and I know it's because you are so kind that you didn't wanna hurt anyone else in the process and instead, have shut yourself out. You don't entertain anyone else. I really liked that part about you it made me think that you're loyal. I've heard a lot from Anya, Juno and Jeus, and they all speak great things about you. How you don't talk to anyone that may have romantic feelings for you—even to me. It just shows how you didn't wanna give false hope or make them expect something from you and I think that it's cool. I also like your deep voice, how you're so talented with a lot of instruments, esp piano. How pretty your hands are. How you love your furbabies. How you also watches anime. I like your long hair, your dead dad jokes, how you always share things on stream out of the blue. How calm you can be whenever you play games. How you can be silly and naughty at times. I could have go on and talk all the things that I've liked about you in the past year but I might hear you say, "it's so long." So to end things, I wanna say sorry. Sorry that I've invaded your personal space too much. To all the awkward situation I've put you in. I also wanna thank you. Thank you for letting me like you. My 2022 have become so much brighter that it made me forget that I was grieving. Thank you for being so nice, appreciative and entertaining. You were so good to me. If Claudia Jessie or Phoebe Dynevor were the one who plays Penelope, just as Penelope was introduced to me on the show, she would do exactly the same thing, lie, use the people she loves, play the victim, I wouldn't like her either. I can give you a million examples of thin CHARACTERS that I don't like for similar and worse reasons than Penelope, because my problem is the characters and not the actors who play them.

But since you're bringing up weight and race, let's talk about weight and race.

Let's start with race, the truth is I don't know if you are white, black, Latina, Asian or whatever, maybe you are white and you don't realize the privilege of being a white person over other races, much less the privilege of being a white woman, I don't know, I'm just guessing and I could be wrong, I apologize if I am.

Penelope would not have had the same opportunities if she were a black woman, not even in the fictional world of Bridgerton. Does that mean she doesn't have the right to suffer? Of course not, she has the right to feel sad, angry, frustrated, but it doesn't give her the right to put her own feelings on someone else and use her privileges on the other person, knowing that that other person does not have the same privileges.

And on the subject of weight, does being a plus size person give you the right to be a bitch about her because since she's a plus size person, whatever she does isn't wrong just because she's big? Because I find it fucking hypocritical. It's the justification that thin people and the media have given for years against plus size people, it's hypocritical that they now use it in the opposite way.

Am I saying that Penelope doesn't have the right to feel bad about being plus size? I'm not saying that, I'm saying that being plus size doesn't give you the right to be fucking shitty about it.

Penelope is a bad friend, quite a victim and doesn't accept when she's wrong. Does that mean she's the worst person in the world and the worst character in history? No, I have thousands of other worse examples and if you want I'll tell you about the thin ones, since it seems to be more important to you that the people I hate are thin than why I don't like them.

Penelope's problem isn't her body, because as I said before she could be played by a Victoria's Secret Angel and have the same development and writing and still be awful.

And it's not Nicola's problem, it's a problem with the character development and initial writing. Nicola can use her acting skills in an incredible way but if the character is written and developed poorly, there's not much you can do.

And I've said it before, that I don't like Penelope, it doesn't mean that I hate Nicola. I separate the actor from the character, from what I see, she seems nice, I judge some of her public displays but nothing that I don't do with other famous people, like Taylor Swift, Dua Lupa, Natalie Portman or Amy Schumer. I criticize them not for their bodies, I criticize their political positions, decisions, opinions, but I never get into their physique, because they are human descendants, I've said it thousands of times, I have no right to judge another person's body, just as they have no right to judge mine. I don't do what I don't want done to me. But you guys are breaking the balls that I don't have, that I don't like Penelope for her body. Because clearly I can't not like her for her attitude and decisions.

To be clear, I don't like Penelope, but it has nothing to do with Nicola or her body, I love Claire from Derry Girls, I like Nicola's performance in Derry Girls, I don't like Penelope. Punto.
