part 3 of yogi verse ❀ rated: g ❀ pair: buck/tommy ❀ ficlet from tommy's pov ❀ tags: au, yoga!instructor tommy, shy!buck
Tommy had meant it as a joke. He didn’t really think Evan had hurt himself on purpose to gain his attention, so he was a bit surprised when a pretty shade of pink bloomed across Evan’s cheeks right before his eyes—almost like he’d been caught.
“T-that’s not why I—” Evan scratched his eyebrow right over that unique birthmark, looking down for a moment, then peeked back up at Tommy beneath his eyelashes. “I just slipped.”
Why was Evan so cute? Dangerously cute.
“Okay,” Tommy agreed. He smiled, apologetic. “I’m only teasing you.”
And flirting shamelessly. He couldn’t resist.
Tommy assessed Evan again. He had improved with the exercises, but Tommy had noticed him favoring that one leg. An old injury that liked to act up, maybe?
“Keep the ice there for a few more minutes,” he advised, nodding towards the towel-wrapped ice pack hanging limply in Evan’s grip. Tommy fought the urge to take his hand and help him press it against his knee. Inappropriate, Kinard.
There were professional boundaries, and Tommy had nearly crossed them in the last class. He’d backed off a lot since then, which also seemed to be a mistake since Evan had gotten hurt due to his negligence.
Evan pressed the ice pack to his knee. “Thank you,” he said. “I’m sorry I disrupted your class.”
Tommy shook his head. “Hey, no, It’s alright. Accidents happen.”
Evan didn’t look convinced but didn’t say anything further. Tommy had heard Evan chatting enthusiastically with Maddie when they’d gotten there and they started unrolling their mats, so he assumed that this quietness wasn’t his regular M.O. He could’ve been in more pain than he was letting on, too.
“I’ll include alternate poses for our next class. Some of the ones we do can be hard on certain joints. I wouldn’t want you getting hurt again.”
Evan smiled, though it looked more like a grimace. “It’s okay. I’m fine, really. I just need to follow directions better. You don’t need to make any special exceptions for me.”
Tommy frowned slightly. “It’s no problem, Evan.”
That was the bare minimum he could do, honestly. Altering his lesson plan was nothing. It was his job to make sure his routines benefitted everyone. Otherwise, what the hell were they paying him for?
Also, it was more a reflection on himself as a teacher than Evan as a student if Evan couldn't follow his directions. But he could, and he had done exceptionally well for a beginner in an intermediate class. Even if he had stubbornly refused to start with the beginner poses Tommy had suggested last time.
He opened his mouth to say as much, but Lucy, their pilates instructor who’d stepped in to help, beckoned him over with a judgy eyebrow and impatient jerk of her head.
“Duty calls, huh?” Evan said.
Tommy glanced at the clock and stood up. “It does. Take care, okay, kid?”
Evan laughed. It was self-deprecating, even to Tommy’s ears. “Yeah.”
Hm. Tommy couldn’t exactly dwell—he had to finish the class with their cool-down sequence—but that didn’t mean he wasn’t also thinking about those sad puppy eyes the entire time.
༻❁༺
As everyone finished packing up and headed out, Tommy couldn’t help but cross his arms and watch the Buckleys. Evan was limping a little but trying to act like he wasn’t. Maddie, his sister, who Tommy knew much better after having her in his class most of the year, put her hand on Evan’s shoulder and rubbed it.
Tommy had heard about Evan through Maddie. Enough that it almost felt like he knew the guy, too. She was clearly very proud of him, and they were close-knit siblings. Younger than her, Evan worked with the LAFD. He was sweet and comical, bullheaded and frustrating in equal amounts, and some of her stories about him had made Tommy full-on belly laugh.
She waved goodbye, and Tommy waved back. Evan glanced over his shoulder almost shyly, and Tommy waved at him, too. Then, against better judgment, he followed it up with a wink.
He tried not to smirk when Evan, clearly flustered, nearly walked into the door. An amused exhale escaped him as Evan went cherry red a second later, visible even from across the room, and fled to the parking lot.
God, Tommy was in fucking trouble.

Do you have any cherik fics recs set in the comics? Or at least not set in X-men first class
my rec list is very small for i don't really read fanfics and i only really read things when they're recc'd to me HOWEVER i do have a Very Small collection for you (descending by word count). under the cut cause the descriptions got long by accident Oops
1.) [EXPLICIT, READ WARNINGS BEFOREHAND] Chimera, by Andraste (Word Count: 1,304)
(Takes place in the Ultimate X-Men (2001) timeline) I can't really describe this fic adequately without telling the whole thing or accidentally doing an analysis on it: while it doesn't have a strict plot, calling it PWP isn't too accurate in my opinion either. The smut in this fic- in my reading- isn't meant to be erotic in the typical way we approach NSFW in fanfiction, but if I start to go in-depth on what that means this post is just going to be dissecting everything line-for-line LOL. The best way I suppose I can describe the premise of this fic is a "grim" scenario based around Charles reworking Erik's mind and keeping him "docile", and Erik catching on to what's been happening to him. This fic explores how Erik wants Charles to "atone" and confront the consequences for this meddling.
2.) As If Nothing Happened, by joshriku (Word Count: 3,289)
(Takes place amidst X-Men Unlimited (1993) #1) This fic expands on the X-Men Unlimited tidbit where Charles is rescued by a """"mysterious"""" figure (who we later learn is Erik in UXM 309) during the snowstorm he, Scott, and Ororo were entrapped by. Very domestic and "warm" and sprinkled with beautiful, playful back-and-forths, and is a joy to revisit if you want something cozy.
3.) [EXPLICIT, READ WARNINGS BEFOREHAND] Behind Closed Minds by f3armgneto (Word Count: 4,914)
(No specific verse or timeline) Honorable Mention Is Honorable i gotta include the fic that was written for me... i wasn't sure if you were looking for explicitly-stated comicverse fics only but i needed to do an honorable mention..... the art this fic's based off of is meant to be comicverse so surely that must count... Premise is essentially that Charles accidentally telepathically peeps on Erik showering and is incapable of moving beyond the instance without "proper resolution". Meanwhile on Erik's end, fully aware he'd been spied upon, thinks of a "countermeasure" to Charles' voyeurism (spoilers: it's more of a reward than a deterrent).
4.) it's going to be a long, long time, by joshriku
(Takes places amidst Krakoa period around AXE Judgment and X-Men Red) A series of events between Charles and Erik following the latter leaving to retire on Arakko. My summary does a poor job on highlighting the chemistry, dialogue, and longing between Erik and Charles in this: I can only beg you to give the fic some time to read it.
5.) not so tragic, my love- it's this dream, it's this sun, by joshriku
(Takes place post-gala/beginning-of-post of the Krakoa period, diverges from X-men: From The Ashes (2024)) Erik has Charles stay with him on Island M after the fall of Krakoa. It's no surprise Charles isn't doing so well mentally after losing everything, but- amidst the facsimile of some domestic joys- Erik wrangles with Charles' depression and anguish, the professor having long lost the light in his spirit to help his fellow mutants readjust after the downfall. (Guest Starring: Jean Grey who has a wonderfully written interaction with Charles- though this fic In Its Entirety is wonderfully written...)
when i was looking through my bookmarks i hadn't realized literally like. half of my rec list was written by joshriku AJLVKEJALK BUT THEM'S THE WORKS i owe them my life for getting charles and erik's voices, thoughts, and actions down so wonderfully. i hadn't read Number 5 in a while and i'm grateful for the excuse to do so: it's probably my favorite of their works that i have listed here, so if you read any of these fics i greatly suggest that one
if you read any of these at all tho i hope you enjoy them !!
#snap chats#fic rec#i have to thank a commissioner who introduced me to joshriku and their works months back#i ALSO have to thank them because the commissioner was the reason why i picked up UXM 309 and XMU... so shout out to them...#reading anything by joshriku feels as if i'm reading dialogue from the comics itself#now usually when i see that term used in reference to /my/ work it's because of how hammy and 60's-sounding it is#but with joshriku i can just perfect imagine everything and hear everything- as if the words were meant for comic pages#maybe a lot of xmen fic writers have that talent- i dont know again im very bad at reading fics#as for chimera tho im not exagerrating when i say i can do a line-for-line analysis on it#it's probably because it's so short it's a lot easier for me to think of its premise and concept#AND IM GRATEFUL FOR IT FOR THAT i love it for that- the details Not Said are always my favorite#i remember reading that fic the first time and being blindsided by the ending#i shouldnt have considering the concept involved but still i was like Girl.... Youre In Too Deep VJLEKVJEAKLV#i love my toxic yaoi...... chimera i love you... it makes me want to tackle 'normal' erik more whenever i reread it#aaaaand i already shared all my praises for number 3 in the tags of my rb JLAEKJKAL#i always love me voyeurism and mirror usage... gentle remidner....#ngl something mysterious happened to me while i was making this post so idk how the summaries hold up#i at least wanted to try to use this ask to take my mind of the thing... i think it worked for the most part#i think a part of me doesnt read fics because then i get inspired and ill feel like im copying others' works vLAEKJELKJ#beacuse as i was revisiting these fics i was like. Ough.... Thats Good.. I Must See Visuals For This..#i met my old bestie through making fanart for her fic so who knows.. could be a worthy endeavor lol..#but yeah hope you enjoy these if you read em !!!

hi val!! tbh i had never ever batted an eye towards guy before he became so recurring in your blog and i literally love him soo much! i haven’t been able to find a lot of stuff on him but you can tell when someone writes/draws him with love
do you have any other characters that you think are worth checking out?? id love to expand my comic horizons!
OOOhhhh thank you for your kind words, I'm glad I could sway you. I really owe it to 🐸 Anon for putting me onto him in the first place.
I'm presuming if you've been following me for a while, you're already somewhat versed in the Batman sphere of comics so I'll steer away from the Bat-Fam and their rogues. Although I will say that if you haven't read any Catwoman solo comics, I cannot recommend them enough.
Also, these are all just starting points, I wouldn't consider many, if any of these to be like comprehensive recs, just their earliest stories, or good ways to get to know the characters before you jump into the deep end.
If you want to stay in the Guy Gardner realms:
Lobo Lobo: Unbound #1-6, Crush & Lobo #1-8, Lobo: Death & Taxes #1-4, Guy Gardner Reborn #1-3 and any of his solo books, but I especially like Vol 2.
Kyle Rayner Emerald Twilight/New Dawn - Green Lantern #48-55, Baptism of Fire - Green Lantern #59-75, The Final Night #1-4, Green Lantern Corps Vol 2
Personal favourites who I think are underrated:
Any of the Flash Rogues Rogue War - The Flash (Vol 2) #220-225, The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #9-13, Final Crisis: Rogues' Revenge #1-3 (I'd be happy to give more recs for specific characters, but as a group these are some good ones to get to know them as a whole)
Blue Devil (Or Shadowpact, they're such a fun group that deserved more!) Underworld Unleashed #1-3, Day of Judgment #1-5, Day Of Vengeance #1-6, Shadowpact #1-25,
Others:
Booster Gold Blue & Gold #1-8, Day of Death - Booster Gold (Vol 2) #21-24, The Gift - Batman (Vol3) #45-47, and basically any issue of Booster Gold Vol 1 and 2, as well as Justice league America.
I'd also recommend Countdown to Infinite Crisis and 52 for Booster, but I don't think it would make much sense if you don't read all of them, as opposed to just his appearances, so maybe dip your toe in with the above and see how you feel.

hi please talk about jaime more i am equal parts afraid and excited for his new show
Jaime stan since 2009 reporting for duty sir.
Jaime is the best Spider-Man story we've had in a very long time. I'm including Spider-Man in this. In 2006 it was pretty abnormal to have such a simple story: about a normal kid, who is a very good kid and just wants to do his best, accidentally getting in way over his head and deciding to make the best of a bad situation by helping people and trying to keep his head above water. Jaime's life dream is to become a dentist. His family is highly engaged in his superhero life. Jaime was wholesome without feeling wholesome, and a really exceptional guy while still feeling like an average teen.
Jaime actually did Into The Spider-Verse before ITSV did ITSV: it told a Spider-Man story about a kid struggling to live up to a legacy. About living up to a dead legend, trying to puzzle out his life and make him proud, and how to engage with his life and message. Except I think it did something even more interesting than what ITSV did with Miles.
Because the legacy was that of a loser.
Ted Kord's a joke. Out of universe, he was placed in joke comic after joke comic (Justice League International was exceptional and prided itself on being 100% loser). In universe, nobody took him seriously. How can you take a member of the JLI seriously? The superhero community knew Ted was competent, but they didn't really admire him and they didn't actually like him. He was another annoying supergenius without any superpowers. He never even got the scarab to work. What was Ted Kord's legacy, what legacy was Jaime trying to live up to?
Well, people loved Ted. That's all.
Ted had somebody who, if JLI had been written in 2023 instead of 1980, would have been his husband. He had his husband's family. He had the Justice League International, a misfit team of losers who were losers together. He was insanely smart and very kind and super weird. He had absolutely zero reason to be a hero whatsoever, but he was a bit of an adrenaline junkie and was too weird to live and too rare to die.
What kind of legacy is that? How do you live up to that? Jaime is the kind of superhero who would rather live up to the legacy of a kind man who is loved than a famous man who is revered. The people who loved Ted feature prominently in Jaime's own comic, and the JLI revival where they met Jaime was super emotional. And the Booster Gold comic where he met Jaime made me cry. Jaime's scarab is built to be an ultra death kill murder machine, and Jaime's job is to make it kind. Jaime wanted to leave a legacy of kindness too, and that was how he discovered what kind of Blue Beetle he wanted to be. He never once gave a shit about the rest of it. His life dream is to be a dentist.
Jaime's story has a lot of lasting appeal, because I think he's the kind of hero who fits in with the sensibilities of people today: just a swell lad. But I'm also a Ted Kord fan, and I always really loved the respect and reverence that Jaime always gave Ted: not as somebody who only knew him theoretically or knew the idea of him, but as somebody who was so loved, that he people who loved him showed up at Jaime's door to help him too.
Anyway Jaime's story is SO BASIC that the movie's good/bad is going to hinge entirely 100% of execution so it's impossible to tell right now, I'm holding out judgment. I'm guessing banal and forgettable. Hopefully charming, like Shazam. I am a massive fucking Shazam stan he is the funniest character on God's green earth.
#blue beetle#jaime reyes#ted kord#ppl dont write a good shazam#they dont understand that shazam is what the average 10 year old thinks#would be the coolest possible situation for a 10yo to be in#that in reality would be weirdly awful#but shazam isn't about reality. shazam is about sunshine sparkle.#my asks#my writing

Hi! How did you get into Bond/00Q? I’m always curious about what alerts people to them.
Hiii!! I think I might have told this story or part of this story before? Or like, implied it lol. But uhhh. so. lmfao. iirc I literally was like. "I feel like getting into 00q." And just started reading fic on AO3, LMAO.
like I think I was into Man from UNCLE at the time (the movie), and probably had already gone thru the tag on AO3 and new stuff wasn't rolling out fast enough at the rate I was reading, and I was like. hm what else is spy-y. oh yeah that 007 guy. Noooot sure if I was already aware of 00q already by then? I feel like I might have seen the National Gallery scene clip by then? or maybe not idk. some gifsets or posts prooobably had crossed my dash so I was aware of them, probably? I don't remember exactly anymore
but yeah lol. it was very Douglas Adams-esque. "hm... 00q will do"
tbh tho I felt well-equipped to do this bc when I got into stevetony via [redacted] but ultimately thru MCU and went to AO3 and started at the very end of the tag (that was a thing I did back then ig, I don't know if I do it now lmao...), it was all comics-'verse stuff lmao. but I read it anyway! and it was characters I was kiiind of familiar with and events I knew not at all, but I was like. well. if it's important then I'm sure it will come up in the fic, and/or I'll start picking it up the more fics I read. I think it helps that the older stevetony stuff on AO3 especially by and large was (hopefully still is? hopefully it's still up there) is by a lot of great comics-verse writer heavy-hitters, so like the writing itself was very engaging and also I did indeed start picking up the "essentials" I needed to know, both in terms of characterizations/character dynamics, and also universe stuff.
but also lowkey I feel like in general... like obv being a fan of the material you want to be at least to some degree aware of the actual stuff in the source material. but ALSO I do lowkey feel like it IS very possible to engage with fandom for fandom's sake, you know? Like, you can be here for the stories told through the collective storytelling vs necessarily having to ONLY be able to get to the fandom through the source material first.
the caveat here ofc is like. obv then be aware that you are engaging with the material through a sort of... what do I want to call this, perception filter? at at least one level of remove/abstraction a la cuil theory? like, by engaging with the media about the media, be aware that there's a layer of interpretation already filtering the material you are seeing. although idk, I guess in a way this is only really suuuuper relevant imo if you're trying to write meta (which I feel like is a lot less common these days, rip, remember when we used to have meta...) or do like interpretations or analyses or even judgments on certain things, if that makes sense? like just be aware you're reading the tweet about the article vs reading the actual article itself, and it's cool to be like oh what you said in this tweet is interesting in itself & let's spin off of that- but be aware that it may not be exactly what the original article was saying. This though is getting into kind of a tangent and is me kind of also gesturing at the like. ppl who do Pass Certain Judgments on the source media despite not engaging with it. but I feel like that's less common in the 007-osphere and/or possibly. less relevant because lowkey in the 00q sphere we work with like certain sets of fanons as given anyway.
but yeah lmao. I def started reading the fics before I watched the movies - although I probably did pull up the clips on youtube and watched those at some point. I. cannot remember at what point I watched the movies. ...I assume I watched the movies at some point lmao. well okay by this I mean. Skyfall and Spectre. the ones Q is in lmao. ...maybe?? ...or maybe did I really only just watch the bits with Q? ....goodness lmao. don't look.
as for how did I get into 00q, the current brainworms edition. they'd been sort of in the background for me for a while, but never really foregrounded until recently? But then I spent like. I think maybe the entire last year maining 00q on AO3 lmao, and was like. well. (before that I was more into [redacted ship] with a couple other ships/fandoms on retainer, and oh I did have a random sudden adoribull resurgence at some point.
but uuuh yeah. here I am now. lmao. and it all started cuz I (probably) ran out of Man from UNCLE fic lol. (which I DID watch in theaters lmao -- I think I remember Skyfall being in theaters and I think I aaalmost watched it with my band section in hs, but then we watched Avengers instead, and well. *points above* yeah lmao. actually wait, does that timing make sense? maybe they WANTED to watch skyfall but it wasn't in theaters quite yet? I just looked up the release dates and was like wait I don't think this lines up lol. okay yeah I think that must have been it, cuz Skyfall didn't come out until Nov and this proooobably was in Aug during band camp lmao).

library pick up fitps verse
Tuesdays are usually the longest day in the shop, the day when Hasan's manager things: fuck it! let’s take all the walk ins! engine problems? no problem!-
so usually, he’s the last person picking a kid up, sneaking in with apologizes and IOUs written on napkins he slides over to you (iou: one (1) donut. iou: one (1) five minute massage or iou: one dinner)
in fact, it’s so common, he has them stashed in glove box and ready to go.
today though, he doesn’t have to reach for one.
he cuts the engine as he pulls up next to the building, surprised at home empty it is this early. he takes a second; pulls down the visor down and tries to fix his hair through the broken mirror
it’s to little effect. clearly, he’s been wearing a cap all day, covered in sweat and grease, and even though he sprayed cologne on his way out and changed into an old shirt, he’s pretty he can still smell grease and stale coffee radiating off of him.
he hits the visor up and gets out of the car, shoves the keys deep in his pocket and makes his way to the door before he can second guess himself.
the bell rings overhead when he enters, and he sheepishly walks towards the desk where you usually sit, only to find a co worker, martha, her glasses on the tip of her nose as she taps on the computer, says Amelie is downstairs.
he tries to swallow any sadness of you not being there, makes a mental note to text you later to make sure you’re okay-
he rounds the corner after taking the steps-
and hears your voice.
“Good, Aimes.” you’re voice is light, “very good! wow.”
he peaks.
she sits in one of those comically large bean bags, you’re pulled up next to her, holding one end of the book as she holds the other, a large smile on her face as she reads to you.
it’s obvious from the loaded cart of books behind you that you were pulled away from reshelving the never ending list of books that get returned-
he thinks of coming in, apologizing, for taking up your time while you work, but you’re smiling so big as Amelie reads gently-
“You’re doing so good,” you say gently, squeezing Amelie’s shoulder, “i’m so proud of you.”
she blushes pink but easier into her side a little more, and he can see the tension leave your shoulders as you ease into her-
“Let’s see,” you say, “where were we-“
Hasan, against his better judgment, clears his throat, and Amelie’s head shoots up, his cover blown.
“Hasan!” she giggles, the book abandoned as she runs to him.
he tries to kneel in time but to no luck, she runs full speed into his legs, setting him back a few steps with a “woah”
he leans down and tickles her side, a messy kiss to the crown of her head as he kneels on the ground and she talks a million miles an hour on her day-
finally, a break, and Hasan gets her to grab her book and thank you, before running upstairs to Martha.
he comes over sheepishly to you, rubbing his arm: “i hope she wasn’t bothering ya-she really loves you. never shuts up about you”
‘she’d say i do the same’ hangs in the air, but he swallows it.
instead, words fail you, and you adjust your glasses, “your early,” revealing you know his schedule, “very early.”
“Yeah uh-“ he shrugs, “Finished early, so figured i’d come get her.”
you nod, “She’s never a bother, she’s come far with her reading already. She loves reading now-“
“thanks to you.” hasan says quietly, quickly, his face pink.
you shake your head, “It’s you, hasan. You have to give yourself some credit.”
he snorts in response, not saying anything, a silence hangs for s second.
“listen uh-“ you step forward, “i’ll be done in about fifteen minutes. if you don’t mind waiting around-“
you pull the iou you keep tucked in your back pocket, always too afraid to redeem it, for a home cooked meal, sounds amazing right now, have been eating out of the microwave the past week-
he snorts as he takes it, rubs his fingers over it before taking it and tucking it into his shirt, “Yeah uh-“ he shakes his head, a smirk on his face, “i owe you.”
“Good,” you smile, “i’ll be up in a second.”
he nods, his face red, “we’ll be waiting.”
and he goes to take the stairs, trying to remain cool, knows your eyes are on him, as he promptly trips going up the stairs, a gentle: “i’m okay.” before you head his feet pick up, walking up the stairs slowly now.
you finish shelving the few books with a smile on your face, looking forward to the date

I’m a newer player and i’ve been looking through Osiris’ lore more. I remember reading something somewhere saying he’s had visions. can Guardians get visions from the Light, or was that tied to when he was “possessed” by Savathûn?
It wasn't tied to Savathun!
Osiris had "visions" way before that. He claimed that he got them in the Infinite Forest, which is a Vex prediction/simulation engine built inside of Mercury. He received many visions which later got classified as prophecies even though Osiris insisted that they were scientific research he constructed by using the Vex prediction engine. Because they got classified as prophecies, he got a whole cult following fixated around them which led to his exile because the prophecies were causing chaos in the City.
The problem with Osiris' claim about the visions being from the Infinite Forest is that Osiris only entered the Infinite Forest after he was exiled. And he was exiled for the prophecies. So he already wrote his prophecies down before ever entering the Forest.
Furthermore, the Infinite Forest is a Vex prediction engine and the Vex cannot simulate paracausality, aka the Light. Which means that Osiris could not have received the the prophecies involving the Light from the Forest either. This is explicitly also mentioned as a problem here:
There's just one thing: if Osiris used the Infinite Forest to develop his prophecies, and the Infinite Forest cannot accurately simulate Light, how did Osiris predict the Traveler would wake? The Forest's very inability to predict this very thing is what prevented Panoptes from breaking ground with its apocalyptic calculations. I must assume: 1) Either verse 5 does not refer to the Traveler's awakening, or 2) Osiris has prophetic resources at his disposal other than the Forest. What they are I have no idea.
We essentially don't know how he got the visions. To make things more complicated, there's the comic of which the third part is in a physical edition only so you'll have to check out these scans. Sagira asks him this very same question: how did he make the first batch of prophecies? Osiris dodges the question like a pro, then appears to fall into a trance and starts reciting yet another prophecy on the spot, seemingly without being aware of what he's doing while Sagira is trying to get his attention. The prophecy he makes here is just a prediction of what will happen in Warmind and Forsaken. For the record, this one does take place while he's in the Forest, but the way it happens is just super bizarre and Sagira is also very confused by it as well.
Osiris is 100% unique in this way. No other Guardian has ever really experienced anything similar. Even when the Young Wolf received visions from the Traveler in the Red War, it wasn't really a prophecy or anything like that, it was just one vision to tell us where to go. Osiris received hundreds of these, from an unknown source. There's a possibility that they might be from the Light or the Traveler as well and that Osiris just isn't fully aware of that.
We have some of the prophecies in the game: Garden Progeny 1 (very peculiar, seems to be referring to what we previously believed was proof of the Unveiling story, now possibly referring to the idea presented by both Ahsa and Chioma Esi in Veil Logs that the Traveler and the Veil used to be one entity), The Conqueror 2 (start of the Red War), Jack King Queen 3 (the Vanguard leaders fight the war, YW standing out), Machina Dei 4 (Light returns), Traveler's Judgment 5 (Traveler awakens and defeats Ghaul), Sol Pariah 6 (unknown), West of Sunfall 7 (unknown), Infinite Paths 8 (unknown, most likely something about the Vex), Null Calamity 9 (unknown), Future Safe 10 (unknown), Perfect Paradox (Saint's return). Trying to interpret these is incredibly tough as we simply don't know if the plot points they're predicting are still envisioned the same as they were when these were written over 5-6 years ago. Only madness lies from here going forward.
But yeah, a lot of text for me to say that we have no clue. We do know that they're not in any way related to what happened with Savathun though, as Osiris' prophecies predate that by decades or even centuries.

Forty-seven years ago today, everything changed. True believers might already know what it was: On May 25, 1977, Star Wars hit movie theaters and irrevocably altered nearly everything pertaining to the act of moviegoing. Lines around the block, overly excited nerds, an appetite for action figures. Star Wars taught Hollywood that certain genres—sci-fi, fantasy, anything that percolated in the offbeat TV shows, books, and comics of the 1950s and ’60s—had fans, and those fandoms would show up. Star Wars made a meager $1.6 million in the US in its opening weekend. But people kept coming back, and by the end of its initial run it had made more than $300 million. Hollywood’s Next Big Thing had arrived.
Common wisdom dictates that Jaws, which came out in 1975 and made some $260 million, was the first summer blockbuster. That’s true, but it was Star Wars that shifted the idea of what kind of film future popcorn flicks tried to be. In the years after its release, a trove of sci-fi and genre films landed in theaters: Blade Runner, Alien, E.T., the Mad Max sequel The Road Warrior. By the ’90s, the summer movie energy had shifted to action fare—Twister, Speed, Jurassic Park, Independence Day—but nerd stuff still ruled. For every Forrest Gump there was a Batman Returns or Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Then came a little juggernaut called Marvel. By the time Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies started clearing nine-figure opening weekends in the aughts, it was obvious that comic book heroes’ true superpowers involved making your money disappear. The Avengers opened in early May 2012 and nearly recouped its $200-million-plus production budget in three days. Suddenly, there were at least two superhero movies every year, if not every summer, and some new Star Wars flicks at the holidays.
The one-two punch of Covid-19 theater closures and streaming pretty much kneecapped this entire process. The summer of 2020 had virtually no blockbusters, and by the time moviegoers returned to multiplexes in 2021 and 2022, there had been a vibe shift. Movies like Black Widow and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness did well, but they weren’t events. Rushing to Fandango for tickets didn’t feel as urgent as it once did. Last summer, Barbenheimer was the buzziest thing in movies. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 made money, but they still got beat by Barbie’s might.
Overall, this year could be a wake-up call for studios that superhero fatigue has fully set in, says Chris Nashawaty, author of The Future Was Now, a new book out in July about how the movies of 1982—Blade Runner, E.T., Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, among others—ushered in the current blockbuster era. That epoch, he says, “was always going to be something that couldn’t last forever; I’m frankly surprised that it lasted as long as it did.”
Nashawaty says the success of Barbenheimer—both movies—indicates that audiences are hungry for smart films, but Hollywood’s risk aversion likely means studios will greenlight more projects based on toys and games like Monopoly rather than movies about physicists. “This is a real existential moment in Hollywood right now,” he adds, and studios need to be bold to stay relevant.
Summer 2024, which unofficially begins this weekend, promises a move away from the formula that has been in play for decades. There are only a handful of big popcorn-ready movies coming, and they’re decidedly less family-friendly than the blockbusters of yore. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which dropped on Friday, is a teeth-chatteringly gritty prequel about a kidnapped woman (Anya Taylor-Joy playing the younger version of Charlize Theron’s character from Mad Max: Fury Road) who ends up in a war between two overlords and has to fight her way out. Deadpool & Wolverine is a Marvel movie, yes, but it’s apparently a paean to pegging and cocaine so hard-R that Ryan Reynolds won’t shut up about it.
The series of weird indies coming in the next few months—the thriller Cuckoo, Ti West’s latest horror flick MaXXXine, a new collab from Poor Things pals Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos called Kinds of Kindness—finally have some room to get into the summer movie conversation.
Make no mistake: I am typing these things with glee and admiration. Glossy family movies have their place, but they’ve grown awfully predictable. Safe—not necessarily in their plots, but in their substance. No matter how fun last year’s barn-burner The Super Mario Bros. Movie was, you can’t say anything about it was surprising, much less new. No one walked into the theater for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and walked out as gobsmacked as they were when they saw Star Wars, or even Speed.
This is not a “Hollywood is so homogenized” argument. Rather, it’s a reminder that Tinseltown wasn’t always this way. Its influence used to introduce people to the future. What’s happening now has the potential to mark a return to the kind of startlingly original movies that used to be hits. Between the pandemic, streaming, and the Hollywood strikes of last summer, a lot of old habits got broken, and there’s a sense that a renaissance is afoot.
This revitalization won’t come easy, if it comes at all. Summer 2024 still has its share of redos and sequels—a new Inside Out movie, reboots of ’90s summer staples The Crow and Twister. (The latter is the aptly-named Twisters; there are more tornadoes this time, apparently.) But even those movies at least feel like they’re grasping for the prefranchise days, even if they’re birthing franchises in the process.
Furiosa is currently projected to bring in more than $40 million at the US box office this weekend, a figure that would bring it close to Fury Road’s tally but may not convince Hollywood execs that it should bankroll more R-rated, original shockbusters. It would, presumably, best The Garfield Movie, which is also out this weekend and has the makings of a more surefire hit: well-known IP, animated, PG-rated. (For the record, though: Critics seem to think it sucks.) Early ticket sales for Deadpool & Wolverine are already breaking records for an R-rated movie. Should it dominate the conversation for a couple weeks while also raking in money, that embrace of a very not-Disney Disney movie—coupled with Furiosa and Hot Barbenheimer Summer—could signal a tipping point.
Look, nothing will ever completely derail Hollywood’s reliance on sure things. Video game adaptations remain poised to take the crown long held by superhero flicks. (Borderlands, starring Cate Blanchett, is coming to theaters this August.) But if this summer’s ever-sprawling slate turns up just enough weird hits, maybe we’ll once again know the feeling of walking out of Star Wars for the first time.

Stray Thoughts: On Heroism and Constantine
John Constantine, that is; DC’s most conman of all blue-collar magicians, with morals that might be called dubious and so many bad habits you can barely stuff them into a trenchcoat.
I first met him through a fanfic, Sailor Hellblazer. (I should look for that again.) Given it was a crossover with Sailor Moon and Ah My Goddess, I suspect John’s behavior was toned down. A bit. Still, from what I’ve run across after - TV, movie, comics and animations - the essentials came through. John is not a nice guy. Sometimes he’s not even a good guy. But... he tries.
That’s the key part for me: he tries.
Mind, depending on the depiction you could also say that Godzilla tries.
Which is fitting. Because if you call on John Constantine - if, God help you, you have to call on John Constantine - you’ve hit your personal Godzilla Threshold. You have to be in such a state that dealing with a self-proclaimed warlock and dabbler in the Dark Arts, who cheats demons in card games, cannot make things any worse.
(Sometimes John makes things worse anyway. It’s a gift.)
Many of Constantine’s stories don’t have happy endings. He’s a flawed man, and his judgment is not always the best. On the other hand, there just aren’t that many people doing what John does. In the DC ‘verse, if you’ve got a case of demonic possession or sorcerous murder spree, unless you’re lucky enough to run into someone like Zatanna, Merlin, or Dr. Fate in a good mood, your options are limited.
So the only magical disaster care in town is a back-alley clinic where the doc’s probably downed at least one shot of whisky before he saw you, and is heading for more after. Is this a good situation? No. But no one else is stepping up.
John, at least, is trying.
(He can be very trying.)
So. Hero?
...Admittedly, open to debate. Sometimes he’s just poking out of curiosity. Sometimes he’s pulled a howler and caused the problem in the first place. Sometimes he’s landed in the blast zone of someone else dabbling in Dark Arts and is just trying to survive.
But sometimes there’s an innocent in the line of fire. Or - and this is where my respect for the character roots - there’s someone who’s realized they’ve made an awful mistake, and they need help to put it right.
A lot of heroes save innocent bystanders. It takes something extra to reach out to someone who’s committed a magical crime and say, okay, let’s see if we can fix this.
Of course there’s a cost, when you’re dealing with darkness. Of course there is.
John Constantine is a trickster, a conman, and an exploiter of loopholes to the max. He’s no paragon. Sometimes he barely even qualifies as a scoundrel. But he’s a larger than life example of how you can be an imperfect, sinful man, and still try to drag yourself out of the pit of your own bad decisions. Pick yourself up. Start again. Fix what you broke. Do better next time.
And do it knowing you’re going to fail. A lot. Because the problems are big and Evil and you’re no Superman. Just a man.
...Just a man with a bit of magic and the sheer bloody gall to drive demons to drink. And you know, you can work with that.
(Rant spawned by this mind-boggling vid clip, where the vid maker opined that heroes are only heroic because they hate themselves. Which... no. No, this vid is classic blaming the victim and whoever made that post-Apokalips animation didn’t understand Constantine or moral punishment for lawbreaking. Bleah.)
John Constantine is no shining hero. But he’s something we need just as much: the reminder that even if you’ve failed at being a decent human this time, you don’t get to quit. Come on. Pick yourself up. One more go, eh?

❛❛ i am anti-life, the beast of judgment. the dark at the end of everything. what will you be then, dream lord ? . . . hope.
daniel was originally the son of hector hall ( the silver scarab ) and lyta hall ( the fury ), both of whom were trapped in a pocket of the dreaming when they conceived him, leaving an unborn daniel to be claimed by morpheus ( the original dream of the endless ) as his child by proxy. after dismantling this pocket, the king of dreams said he'd someday come for him, but lyta swore to never let that happen. a fae creature named puck kidnapped daniel as a toddler, but lyta assumed morpheus was responsible and called on the kindly ones ( the furies ) to bring about his destruction.
as one of the endless, necessity bade that morpheus' essence and duty continue on in a different form. this form was adopted by daniel, who now harbors morpheus' essence while still being a wholly separate person -- albeit no longer identifying with his former mortal self either. by this point, he refers to himself simply as dream and functions as the new dream king, but in order to stabilize and fully synchronize with the dreaming, he must first locate all twelve of morpheus' dreamstones. which could be scattered across any realm and dimension known to existence and pose an existential threat to reality if they land in the wrong hands.
✧ headcanons ✧ visuals ✧ threads
☁️ . . . VERSES
✧ main : takes place within the sandman and dc comic universe. in my portrayal, we're having dream / daniel be raised within the dreaming after becoming an endless. in his early childhood, the default is that lucienne served as regent while dream was protected by the corinthian as well as other dream creatures until he eventually comes of age and is able to set out in search of the dreamstones. these are objects created by morpheus, considered focal points / anchors for the dreaming. dream believes it's necessary to find and calibrate these in order to gain a solid hold of the realm and keep nightmares like melinöe from escaping. ✧ alt. sandman verse : assuming daniel never becomes dream, he would have been raised with his mother on earth. because of his feitheran roots and because he'd spent most of his time in utero within the dreaming, he'd possess sleep inducing and hallucinatory abilities similar to that of morpheus, learned combat skills from his mother, and eventually upgrades his father's silver scarab suit with tenth metal. within the justice society he's known as the sandman. his main foe would be a new incarnation of hath-set, who continually seeks to bring the curse of sekhmet ( judgment day ) to fruition. ✧ greek myth : he's the son of the greek god morpheus ( who follows the greek mythos canon as a son of hypnos and pasithea ) and hippolyta / lyta hall who conceived daniel in the dream realm with a dream version of her deceased husband, hector hall, which as a creation of morpheus makes daniel technically his biological son and a demigod ( work with me here, here's an oopsie dream baby, that lyta wanted and dreamt of so much that it became a reality ). ─ for non-pjo conformant canons ( that likewise don't fit with his main verse ): we can say morpheus is currently missing/imprisoned and in a bid to keep the dream realm stable daniel needs to find the dreamstones to stablize it, and eventually find his father. ─ for his pjo canon: originally, he was raised in the dream realm with his mother to keep him safe until that became unsustainable and/or the other gods found out about it and daniel was sent to camp half blood. he was 15 at the time, and now between 18-25 he's a pretty seasoned fighter, but still a bit eccentric and ungrounded in reality. he has the ability to cause hallucinations and dreamlike trances, but also astral projection and dreamwalking. ✧ dragon age : to be finalized after i finish my playthrough, but i'm leaning on the concept of dream being a spirit of hope, one of the refugees found in the crossroads who wants to assist rook and their party. i'd say he manages to do this by following them to nevarra, where he possess the human body of a dreamwalker who lost his way in the fade, leaving his body in a coma and thus vulnerable to possession. he then promises to help find and return daniel's spirit to his body after the elvhen gods are dealt with.
☁️ . . . DOSSIER
name. dream of the endless daniel hall other aliases. the sandman pronouns. he / him titles / epithets. dream lord, dream king, ( by the egyptians / feitherans : tutu , son of neith , who comes to the one calling him , master of the demons of sekhmet ) age. 18-28 ( dreamstone arc ) , early 30s ( post-dreamstone arc ) origin. greek , egyptian / feitheran etymology. endless ( omnidimentional primordial entity ) sexuality. pansexual alignment. neutral good relations. lyta hall ( mother , alive ), hector hall ( father , deceased ), morpheus ( father by proxy, deceased ), carter hall / hawkman ( grandfather , alive ) , shiera sanders hall / hawkgirl ( grandmother , alive ), matthew the raven ( messenger ), lucienne ( regent & confidante ), the corinthian ( nightmare foster parent ) height. 6'2" build. neither imposing nor fragile, but somewhere in between. his every movement is fluid and gauzy, like ink swirling in water, as if he were there and elsewhere at once. hair. a shimmering white, the color of starlight, of dreams yet unformed. it's usually grown out and a bit unruly , but moves softly with the weightlessness of drifting clouds eyes. a pair of green pea galaxies , burning steadily in the limitless dark scars. none aside from a faint mark over his wrist left by puck, the only echo left of his short time as a human scents. the rich warmth of myrrh and incense curling in the corridors of his temple, the airy scent of lotus flowers floating in fresh water, the drowsy scent of clean linen and egyptian cotton
☁️ . . . ABILITIES / SKILLSET
oneiromancy . can create, enter, and manipulate the dreams of all sleeping beings. can also induce sleep, conjure astral forms, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming, and promote spiritual / emotional healing within dreams. if he's within his own domain of the dreaming , his power is only limited to his imagination. dream tools . outside of the dreaming, he will have his limits but will rely on his tools as an extra source of power ( pouch of sand, the dreamstones, etc. ) granting him the ability to induce sleep or immersive daydreams, driving one to madness or delusion, or nightmarish visions similar to the effect of scarecrows fear toxins. wealth of knowledge . morpheus and the endless date back to the dawn of all creation and exist across all dimensions and timelines singularly, and so as the new dream, he still possess many of morpheus' memories and knowledge. his temple also houses a reimagined library of alexandria with books and scrolls that reflect every dream, legend, and story that has ever been dreamt, orated, or written. endless rank . the endless are some of the most op figures in the dc universe but they have rules and don't exert that power outside of their anthropomorphic responsibilities. they're completely neutral, however, that's not to say that they wouldn't provide aid in indirect ways. since he was once human and his mother is still alive, dream is most inclined to involve himself to the extent that he's allowed. filling in gaps of knowledge is the usual means.
☁️ . . . RESTRICTIONS
post-dream amnesia . within the dreaming the subconscious mind can recall past events and dreams, but upon waking very few details are kept to memory. similarly, all who meet dream directly will not remember their encounters with him when they wake. for most, it's as if the time spent in the dreaming is a wholly separate reality and they won't be able to take that reality elsewhere. should someone meet dream in the waking world though, they would retain those memories in both realms unless dream forcibly erases them. magical prisons / rituals . the sandman comic starts off with a ritual wherein a cult tries to summon and trap death and accidentally summons and traps morpheus instead, so we know the endless aren't immune to spells and curses can be trapped by magical means which will have dire adverse effects on the domains they control. laws of the endless . the endless are bound eternally to their duties and nature and cannot abandon them without consequence. they also cannot truly die, but can be replaced as was morpheus' case. they are also expected to adhere to cosmic laws and answer challenges fairly ( ex. lucifer's game in hell ). the endless are also not allowed to harm each other directly, and cannot take mortal consorts even if they wanted to. it's almost guaranteed to bring catastrophic misfortune to them or those around them. ( ex. asteroid striking nada's tribe )
☁️ . . . ADDITIONAL NOTES
there are twelve stones in total. so far he has three 1) the eagle stone, an emerald which was given to him as a child and is used as his primary tool 2) the materioptikon, the dream ruby which was morpheus' primary tool 3) the porpentine, a rose quartz given to one of morpheus' lovers whose spirit resided in barbie's dream. the rest is what i'll leave up to plotting and set up as this verse's main focus and default conflict unless we establish something where he's more fully immersed in his position.
the comics are rife with retcons and multiverse shenanigans surrounding daniel's parents and lineage, so bare with me. some of his relations and background might have to change while i figure out how this all pieces together and what bits i actually like or want to revise. will lay it all out soon in a headcanon post, but what i really want to highlight here is the fact that daniel's soul is considered the embodiment of hector's humanity and all his goodness, and was responsible for averting/negating sekhmet's curse. that parallels with his body becoming the new incarnation for morpheus which ultimately allows daniel to carry out his redemption too. so i think daniel's dream is really intended to function as a spiritual cleanser as well as the last pillar of hope for humanity, and that hope is something he'll continue to embody and inspire throughout the collective conscience til the very end of all existence.

the remaining members of vi’s group, galxsee, in the grand theft auto 5 verse or whatever idol / popstar verse he has… they might pop up every now and then since they’re reuniting, so a little blurb on them all.
jihoon kim / leader. horribly irresponsible with a bad coke habit. but he’s pretty nice and he tips very well at restaurants. if you want a bestie for life, he’s your guy! but you cannot trust him with your car, he will lose it in a bet. a father of two, much to our dismay. didn’t wife up his baby mamas, either. but he’s there for his kids and tries his best.
namsung yu / look at that smile!!! him and virote are the ‘ our dental work is so beautiful and expensive ’ club. angel. very well meaning, if not naive at times. enjoys reading comic books. :) we love namsung in this house. :) he’s also very good at composing! music theory is his strongest asset. he loves classical music puns… don’t ask him about debussy.
sangjin jung / very rude. very judgmental. he’ll cut you off in traffic without using a blinker. he thinks you’re a dumb fucking idiot, but he sings very well and i can forgive him for being an asshole because he can outsing everyone in the room. vi had to share a room with him and thought he would get stabbed in his sleep—they get along, tho. sangjin would duel with patrick bateman and win.
hansik cha / muscleheaded jock with a lot of tatts but he’s kind of an introvert and spends most of his time being chronically online with social media. streams a lot from his home gym. also play uno online with him plz. he’s from the uk… and no one will let him forget it, either. gets nicknamed ‘ tea bag ’ in a double entendre kind of way and it’s torture. allergic to cheese. gets triple cheese on his subway sandwiches anyway.
yongyi wen / from china. he’s perpetually confused… and kind of tepid in personality. probably because he has so much anxiety that it’s frozen his entire brain. however, this mf can play a guitar and make you cry in the process. he never has much to say… so please don’t talk to him. he’s shy and does not want to talk outside of his professional work. hansik and him communicate by telepathy because they are both shut-ins or something. they stare at each other and blink and they just get it.
junichiro soseki / he’s actually the third oldest of everyone with that baby ass face of his, he’s older than vi by a few years. from japan, but studied in canada for a couple of years or so. hated it, 0 / 10 would never go back. went to college for food science, he be cookin’. he’s as cute as his face displays… a lovely lad. but a little impatient when people aren’t as quick with learning as he is. also impatient with people who are bad at communicating… … so you know what that means for the two above.
#*・༓☾ about! a shimmer in the night.#/ pov. you're sitting between hansik and yongyi.#/ you die from clashing energy.#/ theyre based of exo. when i say 'remaining'... if you know. you know. lol.#/ exodusgate......

sin! what did you think of the new spider-verse movie? :D
I liked it a lot!
So far I'd say I liked the first one better; I thought this one was maybe a little on the long side and could have run a bit shorter, but I also don't think I can make a definitive judgment about which is better because we haven't seen how the cliffhanger is going to resolve yet and it seems unfair to compare them when the second one only has half a plot arc finished.
I am not really a person who likes the Spider-People side of Marvel at all, mostly because I hate spiders and I hate looking at spiders or pictures of spiders and a whole lot of the Spider-People put big ol' spiders on their costumes and also we tend to get a lot of origin-story pictures of spiders so that's kind of a big personal nope for me. I make an exception for Jess Drew -- who is in this Spider-Verse movie, hooray -- because her costume is not very spidery and also even though her origin story does involve genetic material from spiders, Marvel doesn't make me look at pictures of spiders mostly. I would also like to read more Black Widow comics at some point but I am not sure how much spider is in there -- I know she's not actually a Spider-Person -- or if it's more of a metaphor.
I mention this mostly so you will understand the extreme barrier to me liking Spider-Anything, but I think the Spider-Verse films are great and I really like Miles and I think they've captured how cool multiverse comics plots are in a way that the main MCU so far seems unable to do, in my opinion. Like, I have watched a whole lot of superhero movies and I understand that they all have varying goals with respect to what kind of adaptations they want to be and how close they are to canon -- but so far the Spider-Verse movies are the only movies that, for me, have captured the exact feeling of reading one of those massive summer event crossovers with dozens of tie-ins and a giant escalating plot. Not so much in the exact canon faithfulness or anything, but just the way it feels. I walk out of the movie theater thinking that this movie understands why it is fun to read comics and I like that about it.
Also, I really like Spider-Rex. His name is Pter Ptarker. I'm still not over this.

What are rare-pairs that you’re passionate about?
Who was your first OC?
Are you happy with how your favorite canon muse was portrayed in canon?
How do you describe writing / rp to others?
Questions for the mun!

Rare-pairs... oh my god I have so many of those that I'm drawing a blank right now. I think the one that comes to mind is strangely Da.igo Doji.ma and Goro Maji.ma from the Yakuza games lmao, maybe even Ichiban and Zhao from the same games, idk I just vibe with them. But Daiji.ma was my shit for the longest time. And also probably Kuroiwa and Yagami from the Yakuza spin-off, Judgment. OH! And also Soma and the professor dude or like... his subordinate Akutsu (but I guess that last one wasn't a rarepair) from the sequel of the spin-off. Does Maevelight count as rarepair? Cause they'd be my top rarepair as of now (and maybe Zack and Cloud if they count as rarepair) I'm wondering if I'll like Home.lander and Fire.cracker but that probably won't be a rarepair lmao.
My first OC, I am unsure if I can pinpoint... I think it was this servant girl called Lilian I made for a canon character, when I used to try and run from my male/male ships to be "normal" lmfao! My first OC here though was my AI, AIROS. My sweet bean, my lovely android who is trying to learn about the world without knowing he is a spyware watching over the people. I had a lot of verses for him... maybe I could add one for the boys, but he'd be too much of a good boy to be able to survive in that world... Though it'd be a good chance to give him a real-life FC I guess.
I have so many favorite canons that change with what I'm currently obsessed with. Like, before the boys it was Adler and I immediately 'hated' him as a mechanism of defense because I actually loved him a lot lmfao, his characterization was top notch in-game, so much that everyone really wants him to appear in the sequel despite the wrongdoings he did to the protagonist. Anyway, since right now I am obsessed with the boys and clearly But.cher is my favorite – it's safe to say I'm pretty satisfied with most of his portrayal in canon, as of Season 3. There is a leak that has me just a little doubtful about what they're trying to do with him going forward, but I'm hoping it's explained in a way I can get behind, they've done well, so far. Otherwise, I feel like they did a very nice, deeply flawed character that I adore. It hits all the spots I love in a character and, honestly, I feel it was tailor-made for me to love, at least the show rendition of him. I don't like the comics one at all. Aside from that, I think Raiden from Met.al Gear has been practically my sleeping agent all-time favorite or so, and I absolutely love what they did with his character (not me vibing with a "mood swings" type of character trying to do good, but also being unhinged). I miss him and his struggles a whole lot, wish they would've continued his games.
I describe rp as "I portray a character from a series or invent one and make up scenarios with friends on the internet who portray other characters. We keep the scenes going back and forth." Despite this, I don't think my mother gets it at all. My friends didn't get it at the start, until I made them rp with me via notebooks when we were in middle school, it turned into an obsession for all of us... Good times lmao.

wait tony and peter in the mcu or in the comics?
(and I don't mean this in a judgmental way, I mean it in a 'being a comic book fan first way' and someone who hasn't bothered checking up on the mcu in a while way)
I know literally nothing about the Marvel Comics verses, I want to get into them but there's about a million different ones and I never know where to begin.
But in that post I was referring to the main MCU line with Tom Holland's Spiderman. I think I'm possibly right when I say I know Peter is in his twenties or early thirties in quite a few of the comics?
