hi!! I’m a former HUGE fan of the 100 and bellarke, but after the final season completely shattered my heart and destroyed my trust in showrunners 😀, I haven’t been able to really return to the show or ship at all.

Did you have a similar experience? How do you still enjoy it without the sting?? 💔 Just curious, thank you!!

I understand that this is how it is for most fans, that everyone pulled away because of the ending and I understand and respect that.

I think for me, it's simple, i'll be honest that I never expected Bellarke to happen as much as I wanted it and for me the simple reason why was because of the way things happened back in season 3 with Lxa and everything else. I wanted it, of course, I was hopeful for it, especially after 6x10 and I wished for it to happen but when we found out Bob needed time off, I understood that decision and I understood why it won't happen. Yes, I still think that it was just JRoth being absolutely bitter making that ending, they all admitted it, even the writers that for example Levitt's ending where he gets hurt in the final episode was supposed to be Bellamy but that didn't happen because Bob needed that time off. And yes, I am pissed because of the fact that she killed him, I don't think I'll ever get over it but I just...find it to be absolute bullshit and that is because of the way Clarke's character is ruined to me rather more so than Bellamy's.

I know people talk about him being OOC in s7 and him never doing that, never believing Cadogan, I get that. I do agree that it is somewhat OOC. BUT

I have always been a person to look at all sides about this and that is why I survived season 3 and the way fans were back then (may I remind you the bellarkers hated Bellamy and people were awful to him) and I do think that I find it i my mind the reason why he chose that side. I have my own theory about Bellamy's choices about season 7 but I won't indulge here in that because I'm sure I'll bore you to death (It's a Jasper-Monty-Bellamy meta that I have talked about before I think and for me they are still the only three characters who reached a sort of understanding of how to survive/not survive in this world but who separated themself from the cicle or wheel that Clarke talked about in s7 and who saw things for the way they were, as grim and sad as they happened to be at the time-again, another meta if you want me I can indulge).

But the truth is I have always been realistic about Bellarke and them not happening (Not that it didn't hurt me that they didn't happen, i catch myself wishing I saw a kiss) but I also cannot say I was too surprised. For me, and people talked again a lot of shit about Bellamy in s5, but I do think Clarke is a lot more different in s5 than she was before and I think from there on now we don't see the character we first saw, just glimpses of her. The problem with s6 as much as I like it and find it interesting is that we don't see Clarke much in it since she's kidnapped and I hoped we did saw her in s7 but I feel like she wasn't really herself back there.

So...anyway I can talk a lot and probably bore you to death, but I don't want to do that. The simple truth is that I CAN thankfully separate myself from the show and what I love. I know it was shitty what happened, I cried and still cry when I think about my boy Bellamy dying (Because I will be honest, I was always a Bellamy fan first and Bellarke second, I even write more familial fics with Bell than I do Bellarke, that's how I am) but I can find my reasons behind his actions and no, I'm not blindsided by my love for him, I know his mistakes, I can point them out and I can explain why they happened.

I really have no other simple explanation other than I chose to enjoy what I love and have always loved and ignore the last part. I know most people can't and I do not judge them. He brings me joy. Bellarke do bring me joy still, I love think, headcanon and meta about them and just because someone was bitter and because they didn't really show any understanding and BECAUSE and let's be honest, he didn't want to make Bellarke because Bob and Eliza happened and he refused to play into the narrative of actors being married in real life and indulging fans in the fantasy one, is not my problem.

I often think about JRoth and how shitty he was on more than just the Bellarke occassion (that's another meta) but just how much he, because he is an a**, hates religion for example, so he absolutely demolished it and made fun of it and then used it to show stuff in the most awful of ways just like not just with the deciples btw, but starting from season 1 where he crucified the kids on the trees, how he made fun of the grounder's religion and the commanders, everything JRoth did was a mockery caused by his own inability to deal with his problems so ...honestly WHY would you give away something you love to that guy? I think that's just bs.

Again, I am sad and devastated, I always will be but I choose to separate myself from this narrative, enjoy my Bell and writing about him, enjoy reblogging gifs and making gifs in our now little circle, I enjoy seeing new fans of the show too and them reblogging our stuff. That's basically it.

For those of you trying to make sense of this: don’t. There is none.

I first want to thank each and every one of my followers (both current and former) for staying with me on this journey. For me, I think that the journey is over. I don’t know what that means for me and this blog going forward but I think I’m going to take a break at the very least. (I will get to all of your asks still, just not right now.) 

For me, the show ended with the CPR scene. Nothing happened after that. 

There is no sense in Bellamy’s death. None at all. I’m not mad that he died - I’m mad about how it happened. It was a pointless, meaningless death and JR made his soulmate pull the trigger. 

It’s bad storytelling. There is nothing about that death that advances the plot. There’s nothing about his death that does anything for any of the characters. It’s pointless. 

That’s not the way the story was going. It wasn’t a good “twist.” It was shit storytelling. 

I am angry, but more than that - I’m numb. And after loving these characters for 6 years, I’m angry that I’m numb. JR ruined his own show for no reason, other than maybe his own petty grievances. 

I will never be involved in a fandom the way that I’ve been in this one and Star Wars. I can’t invested that much of myself in anything ever again, especially to be hurt like this. It’s just not worth it to me. 

But make no mistake - these characters belong to us. Bellamy and Clarke will get the ending they deserve in fanfic and I, for one, am so excited to finally start reading it. 

Even if Bellamy comes back, I’m out. I’ll watch the Bellarke scenes - if any more happen - but that’s it. Bellamy was the heart of the show for me and I already know what the show is like without him and I don’t like it. I have no connection to it. 

I love you all and this community so much. Fuck JRoth.

I know there is collective trauma around comparing Jiara to Bellarke, because jroth hated us, BUT if say rafe does take Kiara or something to that effect if we get something like the scene in the 100 season 6 where Murphy tells the primes that if Bellamy finds out Clarke is dead then it’s all for nothing cause he’ll burn sanctum down I would simply pass away.

Like just absolute feral JJ ready to burn the world down to get Kie back, all the pogues like “pls we want her back to but he will actually ruin your lives just give her back” because JJ has already suggested setting tannyhill on fire.

And we know Kie would somehow get out herself like the baddie she is but then the relief after that?

Another terrible part of the ending of Bellarke is the fact that jroth ended it on one last tease about how important they are to each other: Clarke was the only one Bellamy still showed intense emotions towards after his indoctrination into a cult that abhorred love. Even when Octavia was in the same room, Bellamy's main focus was Clarke. His last conversation with his girlfriend of four years barely elicited any emotion from him. But Clarke, someone he'd known for less than a year, brought him to tears twice. He lied to his cult leader because he couldn't bear to see her in pain. Jroth seemed to be setting up Bellamy's feelings for Clarke as the thing that breaks him out of his cult mentality. And then jroth just didn't go there. Not only that, but he ruined their entire relationship. He had Clarke throw out the words that had bonded them since the end of season 2. And then had her kill Bellamy, after he showed faith that she loved him too much to do that.

I feel like a broken record, but a week after the finale I still can't process the fact that the show and ship I've spent the last six years in love with ended so horribly.

On the Death of Bellamy Blake

I want to start off by saying I was devastated when I found out Bellamy died. Truly heartbroken. I didn’t even find out by watching the episode (which I still refuse to watch, given the utter mess that I’m told it was, but the ladies on the Bellarke discord server provided a pretty thorough play-by-play of its contents) but rather through a friend of mine (a friend who’s on season FIVE, mind you) sending me JRoth’s insensitive, fickle, poorly thought out statement regarding the episode. Since then, I’ve drafted and redrafted this trying to figure out exactly how I feel, but there’s one emotion more than any other that I just can’t seem to shake: anger. I’m furious, fucking livid that after six seasons of complex characterization and storytelling, our favorite characters get screwed over because of Jason fucking Rothenberg’s large ego, overall pettiness and bald-faced racism. 

I’ve seen a lot of talk in the fandom lately about a loss of faith in the characters we love so much, in the ship that used to bring us so much joy, and while you’re obviously entitled to feeling everything you’re feeling, I do feel the need to point out the following. 

This was not the ending the show was supposed to have, make no mistake about that. Whether you choose to believe EJR (@ExposeJason on Twitter)  or not, anyone with even an ounce of experience when it comes to storytelling could tell you that Bellamy’s death (or rather, the way it occurred) made no narrative sense. There is no universe in which Clarke Griffin would willingly kill Bellamy Blake with no hesitation. Lovers or not, protecting her daughter or not, the Clarke Griffin we know and love (and the one we watched for six seasons) always, always shied away from killing Bellamy Blake. Be it the scene in season four where she couldn’t bring herself to shoot him at all, or the season five scene where she leaves him behind in Polis. Yes, she was livid that he put her daughter in danger. But she left him with his sister so that she could get only family for six years to safety. I could go on and on listing all the times Clarke has saved Bellamy and vice versa, no matter how much the other fucked up. 

It follows that Bellamy’s death only came about as a result of the rewrites this season that were heavily influenced by JRoth’s own personal misgivings against Bob Morley. It hurt his ego when Bob disagreed with Bellamy’s characterization in Season Five. It bruised his ego again when Beliza announced their marriage in the middle of the airing of Season Six, taking away from his masterpiece and becoming the centre of attention at every interview either one of the couple did in the year after. When he finally saw the opportunity to use Bob’s mental health—his mental fucking health, you guys—to write him out of the season, he took it. As EJR said on Twitter, not giving Bellamy a hero’s death was a massive fuck-you to Bob. But having Clarke kill him? That was a massive fuck-you to us. 

The death scene was deliberately planned to ruin every single aspect of this ship that we’ve all spent six seasons adoring. 

So don’t give him the satisfaction of seeing it ruined. 

I know what became of Bellamy Blake is devastating. I know that he didn’t just kill one but two of our beloved characters in one fell swoop. But, ultimately, Bellamy’s death is what we make of it. We can allow JRoth to get what he wanted, what his intention was when he wrote that scene, all along and allow him to ruin these characters or this ship for us, or we can take back the characters that bring us so much joy and not give him the satisfaction of seeing us lose our love for them.

We know the reasons behind this sudden change in ending. We know that a Bellarke kiss was written into an early version of the script. It was NOT all in our heads, you guys. They were always intended to get together. The subtext we’ve been seeing for the last seven years was not just something we collectively willed into existence. 

So go out there and complete that fanfiction you’ve been procrastinating. Finish that piece of fanart you aren’t sure you can face again after 7x13. Let the characters that have been inspiring you for the past seven years continue to inspire you, because the only way for them to truly live on in a way that brings justice to them is through this fandom. 

Canon is what you make of it and honestly, I’m so relieved it ended with that Bellarke hug in 6x13. I can’t wait to read and see all the amazing work this fandom comes up with to honor Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake. He’s out of JRoth’s hands now, you guys. He’s finally free.

The 100: The Death of a TV Show

(my thoughts were scattered when I wrote this, so sorry if it’s not what you expected in terms of analysis)

When I made the decision to watch The 100 on Netflix on that warm August afternoon after work five years ago, I said to myself, I made the assumption that it was going to be one those shows that I would turn the back button to and never touch again. However, I got sucked in and two days later, around 10 PM on the night of the 9th, I was done with the first two seasons, having watched the entirety of Season 2 on Amazon that day.

Never did I know that as a shipper, I was going to have the rug pulled out from under me twice (first with Clexa with Lexa dying by Titus’ stray bullet, and now with Bellarke with Clarke shooting Bellamy in the heart). Never did I imagine I witness the quality deteriorate starting Season 5 onward, though Season 5 was by an far an better season then the dumpster fire that is Season 7. 

And I never would have thought that the showrunner would put his two leads through the wringer out of pettiness and (frankly, potentially career ending) hubris, like making sure that the studio execs found fault in Bob when his doctor only wanted him to work twelve hours a day for his mental health and having Eliza act out that scene in 7x15 when they knew she had lost an child in real life. 

The 100 follows Game of Thrones and Veronica Mars in shows ending badly due to the showrunners’ hubris. With it being the third time (correct me if I’m wrong), it makes it an trend, which frankly shouldn’t be. In those times, it only proves that they don’t deserve their fanbase. Who have spent years creating/writing content. Fans who seem to know the characters better then the showrunners themselves.

I’ve seen alot of the fans express how it should have just been about the Delinquents and when one thinks about it, they weren’t wrong. For since Season 3 onward, it was becoming blatantly obvious that JRoth paid more attention to the Grounders and worldbuilding them (any fanfiction writer can do an better job worldbuilding them then what he did, as his focused more on the GoT-inspired violence like the Conclave in 4x10), and less attention on the foundation of the story. To the point where the show (and it’s characters) has become unrecognizable. To the point where ‘The 100′ is now just another show only stamped with the title instead of being about the Delinquents. 

There has been alot of talk of which served as the series finale (especially after 7x13). One group says 4x13 (where it’s Spacekru coming down instead of Eligius), a second group (including myself) have it as 5x13, with Bellarke gazing out at their future in an new world as Monty’s video log finishes, and an third group has the last scene with that Bellarke hug in Sanctum as it’s binary suns rose. Any three of those would serve as an better alternative then what we will receive next week. 

Lastly, I apologize to Kass Morgan. Who spent years writing some of our beloved characters in her books, only to see an petty and arrogant ruin it with his hubris. I apologize to my past self and others who were swept up in this show without knowing that we meant nothing and will continue to mean nothing. 

However, this dumpster fire proved one thing: no matter how shitty, how obnoxious an initially compelling show can end due to an showrunner’s pettiness and arrogance, there will be fic writers that will create better content then what was given.

My ongoing thought is this: jroth has always resented the audience he had. He wanted a highbrow show that dudebros would appreciate for all its intricacies and grey morality.

And that so many of us instead thought “I love this dumbass found family” and “I want these two characters to MAKE OUT” made him so mad.

The show is of course his and he’s allowed to do what he wants, but I truly believe that so much of this season was written out of spite. Killing off characters in awful ways, ruining dynamics that have been developed for years. Doing that for no other reason than he could. To prove his show is Dark and Serious, and us pesky shippers that have annoyed him for years were reading into things the whole time, weren’t focussing on what actually mattered. He’s got More Important Things To Say.

And with one episode to go, I’m really, really struggling to figure out the what the fuck that is. What the point of the entire show is.

Even if the series finale manages to rectify that, he’s ruined so much of what made the show actually good in the process. Not only because he didn’t value the same things that fandom did, but because he actively wanted to destroy what we loved. All to prove a point.

What if Bellamy IS still alive somehow? I saw this...

What would Octavia and Clarke be doing together if Clarke actually killed Bellamy? Who would they be rescuing?

Some spoiler accounts said that Bellamy has a near death experience. We thought they meant Bellamy’s transcendence, but maybe it’s this. Someone else (I can’t remember who) said that 7x15 had a shocking twist that even they didn’t see coming. Maybe it’s Bellamy coming to back to life somehow. Maybe transcendence is saving someone from the brink of death.

We don’t know what the last war is. Or test as Jordan pointed out. We don’t know if they went to earth in present time.(would explain the sort of in the title) Jason said they wrapped on to OG characters. Maybe It wasn’t Bellamy at all. Maybe it was Jackson and Murphy.

I am so trying to give Jason the benefit of the doubt. People say he had bad beef with Rickey (Lincoln) and he was written off. BUT Lincoln’s death was written to further the storyline and stuck with the character as a whole. It was unexpected, yes, but didn’t ruin the show despite how many people loved him and linctavia.

Bellamy’s death was so out of character for himself and Clarke. Clarke killing him for no reason but even the fact that she killed him at all. I can see her killing him in the end if his death ended all wars. Bellamy would be begging her too. But that’s not what happened. Any character that’s part of our “hero’s” has had some farewell. Everyone saw jaspers desth coming, he literally told us, but he still got that goodbye with Monty. Monty and Harper had a montage saying they had a good life and had a son. Kane stuck to who he was and died to to protect his beliefs and had that goodbye with Abby in the airlock. Abby died with the everything in slow motion. She had a vision of baby Clarke and later, as the prime, it was shown in slow motion as Clarke’s final goodbye to her mom. Fuck, even WELLS had a goodbye with Clarke before he died. Maybe it wasn’t an actual goodbye but they patched up that loose end before he was killed. Bellamy has so many loose ends that are left open. And he died with everyone against him and lost Docette who saved him from Erethea. His story stopped in the middle, which makes no sense. EVERY. SINGLE. MAJOR. CHARACTER. had some form of goodbye. Everyone except Bellamy. THATS what leads me to believe he’s not actually dead/gone.

I’m gonna stick it out till the end. Maybe it’s really all for nothing. Maybe JRoth really did decide to be petty and ruin the show cause he disliked working with an actor. I don’t know. But until The 100 has officially no more content to air, I’ll believe in redemption. Just imagine, one day in the next few weeks of not watching the show, you see someone post, “wtf i did not expect that. I thought he was dead but he’s actually not. Welcome back Bellamy Blake! Maybe Bellarke will be canon now”. The fandom would be freaking out. And it would be shock value which JRoth loves to do.

Who knows. Maybe I’m clowning but I’m trying to look for a bright side.

I don’t usually do posts like this and try to keep to myself when shows do me wrong, but I’ll make exception tonight. 

I won’t say anything that haven’t already been said. I’m sad, angry, bitter and very, very hurt. I didn’t watch episode live (because of time zones I always watch them later), but I run to check Bellamy’s ‘alive’ status on the 100 wiki as soon as I woke up. And it’s funny because I didn’t believe those spoilers that were circling around for a second but i still needed to know for sure so i could be productive all day - which by the way I wasn’t, fuck you JRoth for that too I had plans to do some important work stuff. When I saw the world ‘deceased’ it was the first time in my life when i understood what ‘my heart sank’ means. Like I physically felt it.  For the entire day wherever I got a chance I was reading everyone’s reaction here and spiralling between denial, sadness, anger and denial again. I even cried at some point (good thing I still work from home, because that would be hard to explain if i were in the office surrounded by people). 

This is the most betrayed I have ever felt by the show, for the most part because this is the show I stayed the longest with and had the deepest emotional connection to. And Bellarke was always IT for me. They were THE OTP, they were the ones I thought about at least once for ever single day for the last six years of my life. They were the ones that brought me joy and more importantly hope! They always brought me so much hope. And I loved spending time thinking about all the ways they could have their happy ending (or tragic ending but together). Bellarke was already so much canon for me, that I didn’t actually needed it to be canon canon. And they are the ship were I equally fiercely love both of them. That’s exactly why what happened hurts so much. 

There are just two points I want to make very clear (so i wouldn’t have elaborate and make this post longer than it needs to be):

1. Bellamy Blake deserved his friends to believe him/ support him/ give him benefit of the doubt. Bellamy Blake deserved resolution and meaningful death (if they insisted to kill him so much). Bellamy Blake deserved EVERYTHING and more importantly more respect from the show that wouldn’t even stay so long on air if not partially for him.

2. Clarke Griffin WOULD NEVER DO THAT. Clarke Griffin deserves better writing. Clarke Griffin deserves not to have her entire character trashed to be the plot device used to ‘shock audience’. I’m not even for a second mad at her, because that’s not Clarke and we all now it.

3. Bellarke was written as romantic couple, we’re not delusional, it was all there. It only never happened and got ruined in such a horrible way because Jason is psycho, I guess.

I’ll finish the show, because there’s literally 3 episodes left and I want to see this trainwreck to the end (and there’s characters I still care about), but I no longer have any hope left for any kind of happy ending. I have seen a lot of people wondering if Bellamy might still be alive or come back somehow because literally nothing about his death makes sense (and some of you make some pretty good points and even i could make some based on the things in the episode), but at this point I refuse to torment myself with false hope. If Jason somehow pulls miracle out of his ass and undo this in a way that not only Bellamy will be alive but Clarke didn’t actually kill him and this entire episode was just some weird fucking dream Picasso had, than we’ll talk. 

I don’t know what kind of lesson Jason tried to taught us with this and frankly I don’t care. If it ‘never love anything ’ then jokes on him, I’ll love thing and Bellarke together and separately even more now. 

The only thing I did learned from this is that if a person acts like a dick for six years, he won’t suddenly change just because you want him to come through for once. That’s the consistency in character. Wish Jason would use it in his own writing.

The 100 stats (pt 4): Characters that have the most dialogue with Murphy over 7 seasons

Sharoza has done another round of interesting stats about The 100 relationships - after Clarke, Bellamy and Octavia, here are stats about characters Murphy talked to the most over the course of the show. (I believe she’s said Raven is next, and she’ll doing requests by people on Reddit, including Kane, Jasper and Indra.)

Some interesting observations she’s made in the post:

Murphy & Emori are in the top 3 when it comes to the relationships with the most dialogue in the show. With 562 lines together, the only pairs that beat them are Bellamy & Clarke (972) and Bellamy & Octavia (630).

I’m not surprised by that after season 7. I’ve always loved Memori, but I didn’t expect them to end up both lasting and being so focused on throughout the show. They ended up being one of the very few things (maybe the only thing?) that season 7 did not destroy (although they still got screwed up with the whole - sterilized and the last of the human race thing. I would’ve had given them an ending where they had two kids and one has a genetic mutation and the other doesn’t, and they’re treated the same by everyone.) Maybe JRoth never learned that there are actually Memori shippers out there, so he didn’t feel compelled to ruin them?

I’m curious to find out what the rest of the top 10 looks like. I’m guessing that Kabby and Jasper/Monty will be very high on the list; plus Marper, Kane and Jaha, Kane and Indra, Jaha and ALIE, Abby and Jaha, Abby and Raven etc.? Out of the dynamics that have been covered so far in Sharoza’s stats (Clarke’s, Bellamy’s, Octavia’s and Murphy’s relationships), the next ones after these 3 are Clarke and Abby (486), Clarke and Raven (484), Clarke and Finn (435) and Clarke and Lexa (401).

In any case, I find it quite interesting that Bellamy is not just the definite #1 (and far ahead of everyone else) for both Clarke and Octavia (which I was sure he would be), making those the two most prominent relationships in the show, but is also #2 for Murphy. This just confirms what we knew all along - that Bellamy was really the heart of the show, as he was at the heart of the group and had important relationships with so many of the main characters, probably more than any other character (even more so than Clarke, and the difference between Bellamy’s stats and Octavia’s or Murphy’s is really obvious - those two spend a lot of time during the show away from the main group) - until season 7.

Murphy basically becomes the male lead in S7, with the most dialogue he's ever had (over 500).

S1 and S2 are his lowest seasons for dialogue - these are the 2 seasons where he's only a guest star, not a regular.

She also notes that season 5 was his lowest season as a regular in terms of dialogue, and that Murphy tends to be separated from the other mains a lot. This is one of the reasons why he doesn’t have that many developed relationships with the mains - his top 3 are Emori, Bellamy and Raven, but the next one is Jaha. He also usually interacts a lot with whoever the season’s antagonist is:

Murphy has a lot of dialogue with villains. It seems a common theme for him is when he gets isolated from the group, he somehow finds himself getting caught up with the antagonists - like Jaha, Titus, Ontari, Pike, McCreary, Josephine, Russell, Nikki, Shiedheda. Most of these interactions are only for a season or less. But having a smaller circle of people he consistently talks to ends up leaving open spots in his top 20. Late Heartfelt Rant in session

So, super late with my reaction, but after they killed Bellamy, and then brushed his death aside practically, I wanted to give myself time to figure out what I was actually upset about. Was it just because they destroyed my bellarke? Nah. Bellarke exists for me regardless of whether they make it canon or not on the show. Was it because they ruined any sense of purpose to all of the "together" and "the head and the heart" moments? Nah. Was it because they so easily destroyed 6 seasons of character building in one fell swoop? Nope. So then what was my problem, really? Because Bellamy's death and the ridiculous aftermath hit me hard. I was genuinely hurt--was it just because I loved his character that much? Possibly.

But then, the finale. Then the constant watching of fanvids of Bellamy and skaikru, and I finally get why I was so upset. I LOVE BELLARKE, and I'll always be a die hard bellarker, but the most precious relationship to me wasn't Bellarke. I was most invested in Bellarke because I was waiting for it to happen, but it was the bond between Raven and Bellamy that had steadily grown, which I took for granted, that had my heart.

When Bellamy asked Raven "You with me?" and Raven responded "Always" I believed that shit. If no one else, Raven would always have his back. She would never forsake him. So, the fact that she just let his death go--like it was nothing. I can't fathom that level of betrayal.

I loved Bellamy, but JRoth had Clarke kill him off--bullshit call, but bullshit calls happen. And though I enjoy Clarke, she's proven that after Madi came into her life, she's willing to throw Bellamy to the dogs. (That's a whole other rant I'm not ready to have about the horrendous and unrealistic portrayal of motherhood in the show--as though people stop having any other sense of identity and personality outside of mother-- don't get me started there). So, though I was shocked she killed him, I also wasn't because she's been making ooc decisions when it came to Bellamy since S5.

But the one thing that remained steady, never faltered through it all was Bellamy and Raven. Towards the end of S1 she gave Bellamy her loyalty and though they had limited one on one scenes, she never hesitated in her loyalty to him. She followed him through hell and back and he believed in her unquestionably.

Her reaction to his death was not only ooc, it was a blatant betrayal to the deep bond they shared. I can get passed Clarke killing him, Echo not giving two shits, Octavia pretending like he meant nothing--because all of these people had tumultuous relationships with him. They all had a history of connection and disconnection with him for various reasons. But Raven, after their initial drama in S1, always backed him up.

All he asked was for her to have the same level of trust and faith they've always had in each other, and she didn't. Then she didn't even dignify his death with any level of anger towards Clarke. Only for him to be right in the end. He was right about all of it and she didn't believe in him.

He would've believed her. He would've trusted her. He would've never forgiven Clarke for killing her. Because Clarke might've been his "best friend" or even the love of his life, but Raven was legitimately his soulmate in the truest meaning of the word--they were kindred spirits. The same, family, too much fight in them to ever give up and too much heart to not give it all up to the people around them.

I don't recognize S7 at all, but if I'm being honest, the show ended with the end of S4. Clarke dying for the people she loved, for Bellamy. Bellamy holding a bottle, in honor of "I think we deserve a drink" and "Have one for me" wondering how he's supposed to live his life without her. And Raven promising to Bellamy "Always" honoring the unshakeable bond between them. That was the ending we deserved, and the fact that they kept going beyond that without any real purpose, destroying everything that was beautifully heartbreaking yet hopeful, for ratings or some prequel that no one asked for was the biggest cruelty to me.

Ok guys I cannot stress enough that I am drunk, this is long, it has strong language, and it’s a trip. I am putting it almost all under a cut because it is 20 f*ing pages on word.

Kate will say it better than I will, but don't lose hope! Becho hasn't really been together on screen for very long. It's only been like a few weeks to a month since the beginning of S5. They've stretched it out over two seasons, but in canon not much time has passed. And most of that time had Bellamy either sacrificing almost 300 lives to save Clarke, poisoning his sister to save Clarke, or fucking off into the wilderness with Josephine to save Clarke. They've just straight up not had enough time for Bellamy to be like, "Hey Echo, I know I said things wouldn't change but that was before my wife was actually alive, so bye." Though  to wishing Becho had just never happened. We got one good angst scene with Clarke seeing them kiss. But otherwise, I could have very much done without their whole relationship.
