Following up where I drew just Willow the other day to get me started on these, here's my whole DnD party in their recently acquired circus-y outfits!
From left to right/top to bottom: My Willow, @jouskaetc's Arthur (he might look a little like he's hating life here but that's actually a face of sincere focus on the task at hand), Eclipse, Rowan (who didn't have the outfit FOR her trapeze practice but she's been acting a little extra lately so she might well have done), and finally, in representation of our DM, three notable NPCs: Tashlyn (who Willow has a major crush on right now), Clonclon (who was an on-the-spot improvised NPC who became memorable through being given a voice that can only be described as the personification of letting air out of five whiny party balloons at once) and Zardoz Zord (who is an official NPC who carried over from our last campaign with a few homebrew reworked/retconned details - won't say exactly what to avoid spoilers).

She works copying books or texts, as well as and record keeping for local businesses, temples and nobles. This means she sometimes accompanies nobles or other leaders to battlefields, keeping records of events and transcribing important letters. She wears elaborate armour but does not actually take part in the fighting.
In her spare time Chicory likes to hang around the artistic quarter of the city, practice her creative skills, collect pretty ribbons for her hair and ornate pens, that she rarely uses because she worries about breaking or losing them.
Do I need to play Mass Effect 1 and 2 or can I jump into 3? I tried 1 and it was so awkward in places that I just... no. But I love the story and asthetic and fanbase.
OKay yeah I kind of agree that Mass Effect 1 is the clunkiest thing ever so if you really hate the controls you dont have to but!!! Mass Effect continuity is so so so so SO much more in depth/important/better/EVERYTHING than Dragon Age’s and there are a lot of (SO MANY) important (life-changing--literally) decisions to be made in ME1 that you can see the results of in ME3!
I mean the game will ask you to set some things if you don’t play the previous but there’s a difference between starting at ME3 and going “Who’s this blue chick” and “Who the fuck is Kaidan” and going “!!!!!! MY SPACE SISTER HAS GROWN UP SO FAST” and “Holy shit more like Major KaiDAMN” .
If you want to get the full experience of Mass Effect sadly you have to grit your teeth and punch ME1 into submission (...and collect everything) as well as play 2. There’s no Dragon Age Keep to store your decisions :( If it’s any consolation ME2′s controls are 10000% better.
tl;dr: the full experience of the Mass Effect series rides on playing all three games and personally making all the choices.
A birthday pressie for my partner @jouskaetc of her DnD characters Jet and Arthur. They're from entirely seperate campaigns and would not get along at all - when I was trying to think of a way to draw them together, this idea popped into my head fully-formed

This has been a couple month's coming but I just had to do a little commemorative picture for what feels like the end of "Season 1" of our Dungeons and Dragons campaign (that Willow was created for).
From left to right - Eclipse, Roshi, Rowan, Arthur (@jouskaetc) , Willow (me), and Trapper (a major NPC) and their monodrone Daisy. All characters bar Willow are the creations of the respective people in my group.
If you’re curious for a little catch-up on context, check the dA upload via this post’s source link - it’s not as thorough as the Willow-focused story post I did a while back but it’s still a little wordy so I won’t clog up this post with it.

[More: DnD | Willow | Arthur by Jouskaetc]
First of (hopefully) many little doodle comics recreating amusing moments from the DnD game that Willow was created for. This one starring my wife's character Arthur Conan the Barbarian Doyle (the Froglok). Willow... went through the wars a bit during our first session. She paid the price for trying to give a goblin of all things an opportunity to resolve a conflict non-violently. Things got much, much worse from here.
Art challenge thing on twitter, pretty self-explanatory! (Though I did stretch the definition of "friends" here to "friends, mutuals, followers who responded and my wife" but whatever lol).
The handles listed below the image are for twitter (excluding MekaTabby who isn't on twitter), tumblr accounts that I know of/that are active anyway:
Everyone here was a pleasure to draw, I really enjoyed working on this over the past couple weeks!
