i feel some people see the comedy tag and see kinosaki being a crossdresser and think they're related and maybe this is what drives them away from the manga, when in actuality kino being a guy mostly is not played for laughs, when they're revealing to another character for the first time yeah it is and its funny (it works bc they really dont see it coming but theyre not offensive about it anyways, its just genuine surprise) but overall him being a guy walking around looking like a woman is not treated as a joke at all really. i've seen my fair share of comedies with a crossdresser character, honestly i see where these people are coming from, the ones i've seen the crossdressing is supposed to be the joke and maybe its bc im trans but they're just not funny at all imo, but i wish the people would stick around to see thats not the case at all with marriagetoxin i'd even say it subverts yet another troupe which is a common thing in the manga already
