a/n: I wrote wedding headcanons a while back, but I finally decided to do justice by writing a one-shot/drabble for it! The title is taken from the episode from Drake & Josh "Mindy likes Josh"

It was the night before her wedding, and she wanted to stay inside, watch a movie, and maybe make some brownies or cookies. At twenty-five, Marnie didn’t want much to do with clubbing or late-night partying, but it was never her thing in high school. She spent a lot of time going to Drake’s concerts and following after him to clean up his messes. In another universe, her bachelorette “party” would have been Audrey, Mindy, Megan, and herself, but when Drake moved to the Palm Woods, she met quite a few people to fill her social circle. Lucy was a rockstar, Camille was a famous actress, Lynette was one-fourth of a girl singing group, and Ronnie was an aspiring singer who started as a songwriter for Big Time Rush. Audrey was kind enough to let the girls celebrate tomorrow's wedding at her house.

“I still can’t believe you’re marrying my brother. My stupid, lazy, pathetic brother.” Megan was helping her mom set up the group. Marnie felt a bit awkward because neither of them wanted to help.

“He’s not… Okay, he can be a little stupid– Are you sure you don’t want me to help?”

“Nonsense! You shouldn’t have to lift a finger.” Audrey smiled brightly as she grabbed blankets from the downstairs closet.

“I appreciate that. I do, but–”

“You know, I never thought Drake would ever get married. Not with the way he treated all those girls in high school.” Megan pulled out a chair and sat down. “Much less get married at twenty-five.”

“Megan,” Audrey chided.

“What? I’m saying what we’re both thinking.”

Marnie laughed and shook her head. Even at nineteen, she was still the same at age eleven. The sibling dynamics hadn’t changed, and this was a family that Marnie was happy to be a part of. She could only hope her brother Eddie wasn’t giving her husband-to-be a hard time. Her brother could be pretty over-protective, or at least he was in his twenties. She could only imagine he had mellowed out ever since. The same couldn’t be said for her sister. She would have loved to have her sister Emilie be a part of the bridal party, but unfortunately, it couldn’t happen. Her sister would have been her maid of honor, but instead, Mindy was her maid of honor.

For years, Audrey had welcomed Marnie into the Parker-Nichols home with open arms, and she wanted to repay her somehow. It was only fair to find a way to repay her. Although they were all adults, there was no alcohol. Drake’s bachelor party most likely had alcohol and a lot of it. Knowing Josh planned his brother’s bachelor party, she could assume he would try to catch his brother slip up because even years later, Josh always tried to catch his brother in a lie.

Marnie jumped to get the door before Audrey and Megan, a big smile stretched across her face. Mindy was the first to arrive. For a moment, Marnie swore she was looking at someone who hadn’t aged. Mindy was dressed almost the same as in high school, wearing a sweater vest and all.

“I brought some card games,” she gestured to the purse hanging off the crook of her arm.

“Mindy, can you believe it? Drake gets married before Josh, of all people.” Megan groaned and threw her head back. Mindy rolled her eyes and shed her shoes at the door, slotting them into the cubby by the door.

“We should be questioning Marnie’s sanity.” It may have been a joke, but she couldn’t help but take it personally. Marnie knew that Drake Parker was not the best person, but he didn’t have to be the best person. How he acted in high school doesn’t define him, and he grew into quite a gentleman.

“Okay, okay. No more making fun of Drake, and especially no more making fun of Marnie getting married to him.” Audrey chided the two as she set the extra blankets and pillows in one of the recliners. It wasn’t the bachelorette party that was a sleepover, but it would make everything easier for it to be a sleepover.

“Honestly, I figured I would get married first between us,” Mindy whispered and nudged Marnie.

Her other friends showed up soon after Mindy arrived, and their night of activities could finally start. Sitting around in a circle with her friends at home was cozy, unlike being out at some party. She didn’t need anything crazy, but she was okay as long as she had her friends. The group played card games and shared embarrassing stories. Audrey made brownies for all of them, and it was a relatively good night. This was an experience that Marnie never got to have in high school, and it was freeing to share this experience with people who cared about her. She also didn’t get to see Lucy, Ronnie, Lynette, or Camille as often because of their schedules.

Megan and Audrey went to bed early, leaving Marnie, Lucy, Camille, Mindy, Lynette, and Ronnie to talk amongst themselves. The group sat in the living room, the lights dim. Marnie sat cross-legged in the middle of the couch next to Mindy and Ronnie.

“James would not stop talking about the bouquet toss,” Lynette laughed softly. She reached for a brownie on the coffee table.

“Kendall wouldn’t either!” Ronnie’s eyes lit up.

“Do neither of them know that the bride typically throws her bouquet to a group of women?” Mindy quirked a brow. “It’s not like they’d be able to catch it either way,”

“Hold on,” Marnie put her hand on Mindy’s shoulder. “If Kendall and James want to catch the bouquet, I’m not stopping them. There are no rules about the bouquet toss.”

“I think it’s sweet they’re planning to marry you,” Camille sighed wistfully and leaned against the recliner. For some reason, she was sitting on the floor.

Mindy frowned. Initially, she had been happy for her best friend, but now she couldn’t help but be slightly disappointed in Josh. Didn’t he love her? What was he waiting for?

No one knew when they fell asleep, but someone’s alarm rang in the morning, scaring them awake. It was the morning of the wedding, and everyone was running around like chickens without heads. Audrey and Mrs. Jones had their hands full helping Marnie with her dress and hair, leaving Mindy and Megan to get bridesmaids into their dresses and put makeup on their faces. Josh had accidentally left Drake’s suit at the house, so everyone was yelling at them when he and his brother came by. It was bad luck to see a bride before the wedding. Drake was dazed as his little sister and Mindy had pushed him out of the house.

Everything was going well. Spoiler alert: not really.

The ice sculptures had melted at the venue, and the doves had gone missing. The train of Marnie’s dress had snagged when she got into the car to get driven to the venue. The day was unfolding wildly. What was even better was that the venue was double-booked. Mr. Jones stood toe-to-toe with the father of another bridge, and even with the doors shut, they could still hear the shouting. As the maid of honor, Mindy tried to take the stress away from Marnie and barked orders to everyone. It was challenging to keep Marnie and Drake from accidentally seeing each other before the procession started while the chaos ensued. Kendall and James ran around, trying to wrangle the escaped doves. Logan and Carlos were trying to clean up the water from the melted ice sculptures. It was clear that Mindy and Josh were in over their heads as they tried to get the situation under control. Megan put her skills to work and tried to fix the train on Marnie’s dress.

But once the disaster had been cleaned up, once the bridal party and guests took their spots, the wedding went off without a hitch. At the altar, Drake kept adjusting his suit and fidgeting with his tie. He was getting antsy. He couldn’t stand in place for much longer. He anxiously kept fixing his hair. The music started, and he froze, his hands falling to their sides. When the double doors opened, and the bridesmaids in their lilac dresses walked through, he waited patiently. Unable to see Marnie until now was killing him. Megan, unironically, was the flower girl. Drake had suggested it jokingly, but his sister would have killed him if he had told her she wasn’t the flower girl. The bride’s walk-in music started, and he swore an angelic light was haloing Marnie.

Her hair was put up in a bun. Somehow, her curls cooperated with the hairstyle. The golden flowery clips in her hair glittered from the light streaming through the wall-to-ceiling windows. The bouquet she held was an arrangement of blue orchids, pink amaryllis, and white lisianthus. Marnie was glowing, practically glowing. He felt his heart swell three times its size and was breathless. She was ethereal. Her gown was a white, satin, mermaid-styled dress with a lace train. The sleeves hung off the shoulder and were ruffled. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t brought to tears. He didn’t think any girl would agree to getting married, but Marnie surprised him. She stood in front of him, and his heart stopped.

He should have known that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Marnie.

The officiant did that schpiel, and Drake had gone over his vows in his head. For once in his life, he prepared for something ahead of time. When it was time for the vows, he took her hands gently, and that small action chased away the anxiety in his chest.

“I know I’ve messed up a lot and have gotten in my fair share of trouble, but you were always in my corner, helping me every time. You’ve supported me far longer than I could have imagined, making me feel like I’m making the right choice.” Drake paused and took a deep breath. There was a weight on his chest. He had never been this vulnerable. “I love you and want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you, and I’ll support you as much as you’ve supported me.”

Marnie let his hand go for a second and carefully tried to dab away the tears starting to fall. She smiled and laughed, hoping that it would chase away her tears.

“Drake,” her voice faltered, and she squeezed his hands. “I’ve loved you for a long time, and I’ve watched you grow into a person you’re proud of being. I–” She paused to clear her throat. “I can’t wait to find out what kind of person you’ll be in the future.”

Audrey and Walter were crying in the front row, and next to them, Marnie’s parents were crying. Their vows were heartfelt and touching. Josh even teared up a little. This wasn’t something he expected from his brother. Eddie was carrying the rings. He handed the gold bands to the couple, and Marnie and Drake exchanged rings carefully. The officiant pronounced them husband and wife, and a shred of Drake’s high school persona slipped back in. Marnie squeaked. She didn’t expect to be dipped dramatically but melted into their first kiss as a married couple. It shocked everyone involved when Drake carried her bridle-style down the aisle, but Josh already assumed that his brother had been waiting all day to consummate their marriage. He rolled his eyes and shook his head.

At least, the married couple was expected to consummate their marriage. Marnie and Drake had enough time later in the evening to get busy; it was more fun to join their friends at the after-party. For the after-party, Marnie wore shorts, a black lace dress, and a pair of black flats. As much as she would have liked the extra height to poke fun at her husband, she was already taller than him, and the heels were killing her.

Megan sat at a table with her parents. She was practically bouncing off the walls. The whole night, she had been waiting for the bouquet toss. She wanted to see women tripping over themselves to catch it, but to her surprise, Kendall and James stood out amongst the group of women waiting for Marnie to toss the bouquet. Curiously, Megan looked around for Ronnie and Lynette, only to find them sitting at a table on the other side of the room. Her brows shot up into her hairline, and an evil glint appeared in her eye. Audrey and Walter were preoccupied with talking to Josh and fishing for information about when he’d get married, which gave Megan the perfect opportunity to slip away into the crowd. The women around her gasped as Marnie threw the bouquet, and Megan chuckled under her breath. She “gently” pushed Kendall and stepped on James’ foot “accidentally. But she didn’t expect Kendall to catch the bouquet, so James snatched it from him. The crowd of women had disappointedly dispersed, and Megan returned to her chair to watch the chaos from a safe distance away.

James and Kendall were best friends; she knew this much, but they were practically playing tug of war with the bouquet. Marnie and Drake exchanged confused looks. Somehow, the two men started rolling around on the ground, but the good thing was they weren’t breaking anything or hitting each other. Megan cackled and sipped on her water. She was enjoying this. She had been waiting for something like this to happen. Somehow, the bouquet had rolled away and stopped at Mindy’s feet. She picked it up and turned it over in her hands. The flowers were crushed and somewhat wilted. Stems were broken, but otherwise, it was good. She turned to Josh and smiled wide, waving it around. Megan laughed at her brother’s despair.

It was a rough start, but they made it to the after-party. Enough fraternizing with their friends, Marnie and Drake finally slipped away. Megan was observant. She didn’t join in any conversations and instead picked at the pastries provided by her mother’s catering company. People got up and danced to the music. Couples slow danced.

All in all, it was an excellent wedding, and if her brother had kids, she would make fun of him. There was never a moment when Megan wouldn’t make fun of her brother. It brought her joy. She sat back and observed the couples who were semi-drunk. The way they swayed on the dance floor. At one point, she swore she saw her parents at the bar. They were all adults, so it made sense. Now, she hoped Josh and Mindy’s wedding went smoother than this one.

Kendall and James were pouting about not getting the flower bouquet. Ronnie and Lynette giggled at their boyfriends.

“We don’t need a bouquet to tell us if we’ll get married next.” Ronnie leaned her head on Kendall’s shoulder.

“I know.” Kendall was sulking like a toddler. “I wanted to get it for you.”

“I don’t need a bouquet when I have you,” Ronnie giggled and kissed his cheek.

James fake gagged and turned away, which caused Lynette to laugh and smack his arm.

“Come on, let’s dance.” Lynette grabbed him by the hand and led him to the dancefloor, leaving Ronnie and Kendall at the table.

Ronnie fidgeted with the tablecloth and exhaled sharply.

“Do you want to get married?” Kendall was surprised by her question and choked on his saliva.

“Well… Of course!” He sat up and turned his body to face her. He took her hands in his and kissed her knuckles. “I technically have it all thought out. We get married and then have three kids, but I’m unsure if we should put them in private or public school.”

“Woah, woah. We’ll take it one day at a time. Ronnie snorted. His excitement made her laugh.

“Well, I want the rest of my life to start right now…”

Headcanon #294

Kalopsia, noun: the delusion of things being more beautiful than they truly are.

I got this idea while listening to the Queens of the Stone Age song of the same name. Josh Homme apparently wrote this as a love song for his daughter, who he feels sees him through rose-colored glasses rather than as he truly is, and the vulnerability that stems from opening oneself up to love and being seen completely by another person. Bittersweet, isn’t it?

Shadow’s done many things he’s not proud of. He failed to protect Maria, almost destroyed the Earth multiple times, and has wound up on the wrong track more times than he cares to admit. His closest friends know this, and the judgmental stares and accusations of those who’ve never bothered to get to know him reinforce his negative self-image.

That’s why Amy always catches him off guard. No matter what he’s done and how many people have given up on him, she never stops believing he’ll do what’s right. He can’t help but feel she sees him in a way he doesn’t truly live up to, but it’s that unwavering faith that inspires him to strive to reach that ideal image, to be the better version of himself that she somehow sees.

Amy’s spent her whole life maintaining a positive attitude, staying bubbly and happy as much as possible for the sake of her friends. She often feels that her positivity is the most important gift she has to share with the world, so she works hard to keep it up, even when it’s only a facade and she’s just as scared as everyone else. With this image in place, she can’t help but feel everyone views her through rose-colored glasses, never seeing the insecurity and fears she hides for their sake.

Shadow is the sole exception to this. He’s blunt on a level that doesn’t allow her to be evasive the way she is with everyone else. He pursues the truth until her brave front falls and she has to admit how she truly feels.

The biggest surprise to her is that despite seeing what she views as her worst side, he still likes the person he sees.

It takes time for her to grow accustomed to the vulnerability, to fully trust that someone could truly love her full, authentic self, but once he finally breaks down her barriers, his presence becomes a safe haven she never quite finds with anyone else.

Most people were surprised when Shadow and Amy fell for each other. Only the two of them fully understood how inevitable it was.

What's your opinion/headcanons on Jenny Toast? (the sister, not the genderbent version)

Ohoho!! Inchresting.

I like the whole “she’s a police officer” idea. It’s cool to me. EXCEPT she’s an ex-officer to me. She quit her job because she grew to resent the establishment.

Current job is a private investigator. She also uses connections with the force to keep tabs on current & cold cases and whatnot to pursue in her own time. Does a lot of volunteer work too. Basically, she’s a very “lives to work” person LOL

Long hair usually up in a ponytail. Blue eyes. Muscular (buff women save me please save me buff women 🙏)

She’s intelligent, very logic-oriented. Cares deeply for others but tends to prioritize the greater good over the individual, BUT she’s become a lot more empathetic towards the individual and that’s a big part of what led her to quit being an officer (and start doing volunteer work too).

Also, uses her private eye skills to keep tabs on her brothers since they’re always getting into shenanigans 😒

She’s either straight or bi to me, I think. Maybe lesbian?? I haven’t thought about her sexual/romantic orientation all that much, so I really gotta put more thought into it lol.

Remember hearing abt a ship between her and Sue and it made me think that they would def get along well if they met, I think ☺️

I don’t really concretely have anything with ships for her,,, what comes to mind off the top of my multishipper heart for potential partners is:

so in my personal ranking: emily is on top. i know i seem like a diehard josh stan like a lot of people think he's my number one fave but it's actually emily!!!

i touched on this in a recent post, but i think she's secretly one of the most sympathetic characters but due to her very tough exterior, it doesn't translate well. i noticed this when it really hits her that matt is dead during the interrogation sequence (if you choose the right decisions as him)

like it really made me realize she was softer than she seems. and really emotional. she comes off as a stone cold, stoic person who needs to keep it together when being attacked by "stupid bitches" (as she puts it lmfao)

and back to my recent post, i think she really cares about the twins but when hannah was "making moves on mike", it probably was enough for her to agree to the prank. i noticed she's not really like as involved with the whole process as jess was. she apparently didn't think jess would actually do it, so i think emily didn't even want to do it as much and enjoyed it as a mere thought rather than executing it

i like to think she also didn't care that much? like i think she doesn't seem to think hannah was ever a threat, and probably playfully picked on her at times, so doing the prank wasn't really a big deal and she didn't think it would go to that extent.

but i wanna touch on a more lighthearted thing that i noticed and just forgot to post about: emily is such a big dork like she is so bad at flirting

in the dlc sequence, matt says "you trying to get me somewhere private?" and emily responds so nervously or just really disorganized. "um. why don't you um come find out" like she really had no confidence LMFAO in a dorky way though!! her idea of confidence is probably faking it til you make it, so when she's like trying to be intimate, it's probably a struggle to translate that social confidence but it makes her really dynamic imo!!

also a personal headcanon: she was on the debate team. she could be a lawyer but she's too busy styling outfits and making magazine clippings because that's really where she shines. i think she may have majored in fashion design but a lot of people think she could be a lawyer with how well she argues and almost always wins her arguments

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

LOL I'm almost nervous about this one. Fanon Gavin. Just... fanon Gavin. I don't get it. He's very much a one dimensional prick in the game and that gives you so much scope to employ him as an antagonist, and there's so much you can do with him in that regard! The set up in the game gives damn good reasons for Gavin to treat androids like shit, and it implies he's very much the one to play Bad Cop with criminals, and...

Fanon says he has a sort of affectionately antagonistic relationship with the stone cold murderbot and has cats, and basically puts him through Hank's arc and I feel like that misses out on so much of Gavin's potential as a character. He's a very blank slate in a lot of respects, and I get the appeal of putting this dipshit in the fandom snow globe and giving him a thorough shake, but I don't personally want to see him redeemed. I'd rather see him continue to be a prick and an obstacle, just one that nuts up and does his job in a way that sometimes has him pointing in the same direction as the likes of Hank so Gavin can be a prick and obstacle in a way that benefits the good guys sometimes. 18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on…

Josh, and I'll admit I do this too. We all know that North got dealt a raw deal by the narrative, and that Simon is quietly one of the more complex characters in Jericho. Kamski gets a decent amount of attention although I wish more people played with him as an outright antagonist out for his own ends instead of portraying him as obtusely benevolent in the background. Chloe doesn't get enough attention but that's my personal biases at play. Everyone accepts that Amanda is a really cool concept that is drastically underserved by the canon.

But Josh.... Our man Josh. He's a pacifist, and he's a university lecturer model, and...

I think out of all the androids in Jericho, Josh is the one that's looked into the civil rights movements that have worked in recorded history and how they're viewed by people now, and that's why he espouses the opinions he does. There are a lot of parallels between the android push for their rights and the Black Civil Rights movement, (and a lot of entirely justified criticism of the way the game handled all of that 'cause god damn DC, really?) and I really think that something could be made out of those parallels being a tactical choice made by Jericho, with Josh at the head of it, specifically to trigger those memories and equate the androids to something familiar and human in the minds of the general human population. And of course it doesn't happen because I'm pretty sure that DC didn't put that much thought into it, but I'd love to see someone better placed than me reframe that narrative as Jericho Knew What It Was Doing instead of "Yeah, DC is a huge piece of shit". (He is. Like I said, I doubt this was intentional on the canon's part. The canon handles this terribly because DC is a giant steaming turd of a human)

Josh is a university lecturer. He's used to getting humans to challenge the way they think and make them see things from different angles, it's kind of what he was built for. If anyone should be directing the revolution with a view to historical events it should be him.

Although I guess arguably that's canon sleeping on Josh, not just fandom.

sheva alomar headcanons because she’s one of my favorite characters ever and she needs some love. these are kinda all over the place, so sorry if its jumpy.

- i always had the hc she has a chickens named kiwi! she later has a rooster named orange. they’re her babies, her pride and joy.

- we never really get to see what happens to her after re5. all we really have is an email she sent to piers abt chris’ disappearance. she was very troubled by chris’ disappearance and offered support, but i know she’d do more to help.

- the kijuju incident left her with a terrible feeling that it wasnt over. wesker did scare her. she cant understand how someone can have those types of morals and it stuck with her. i do hc she has nightmares about it but these are infrequent. this entire shit isn’t done and she will be there to the very end.

- her sibling-like relationship with josh stone is so cute! its like found family. tbh she views the bsaa west african branch as her family.

- she sings or hums to herself often. typically when she’s doing something like cooking (i think she’d be amazing at it and a fast learner) or just some menial task. even in the face of danger when she gets a rest she hums to herself as it gives her a little spark of motivation and hope to keep going.

- one of the most understanding and sweetest people you’ll ever meet. she can come off as blunt or hard but she will hear you out and she will listen. she wont push your feelings aside. anyone’s input is important to her.

- i feel like she likes to send handwritten letters (or emails if she cant) because they feel personal and makes her sit down to think about what she wants to say. does it cost a bit? yes. does she care? no.

- (she has kiwi and orange put a foot in ink and ‘stamp’ the letter next to her signature. on email she will just say kiwi and orange say hello.)

PLAYTHROUGH 1: After the events of Kijuju, life continues on as ordinary for Sheva as an agent. She returns to the states, meant to be temporarily, for Adam Benford's funeral, re-encountering Leon S. Kennedy ( @sseizonsha ) at the event. Unpredictably, as the pair struggled somewhat at communication given his part in Adam's death, the two eventually begin a solid romantic relationship, and even married sometime before RE8.

PLAYTHROUGH 2: In 2009, shortly after her mission with Chris Redfield, Sheva returns to the states during her leave of absence to spend time with her father, as she attempts to deal with her new PTSD brought on by the Kijuju incident. Unbeknownst to her the home in DC she picked out for herself, so that she may have some alone time while recovering, effectively made her neighbors with Leon S. Kennedy ( @redactar ). As both parties remain oblivious to what the other does for their day job, they form a decent friendship. Despite his ( complicated ) relationship with his girlfriend, however, there is something about said friendship that emotionally blurs the lines between platonic and romantic.

PLAYTHROUGH 3: Potentially default / requested sub verse where nothing of note from the original content has changed, and Sheva is not initially romantically paired. Leon ( @redactar ) and Sheva met when she was just a teenager and new to the states, and have been involved in each-other's lives ever since. Thus, he is seen as something closer to another brother much like Josh Stone.

MAIN TIMELINES

V.RE5: Will take place during the events of the game , she is still on accompanying chris on his mission.

V.POST 5: Directly after the events in kijuju. Sheva is still working with the BSAA & has returned to the U.S temporarily as a representative of the west African branch, as she has willingly taken leave from field operations.

V.RE6: Sheva returns to Africa and attempts to suppress the continuous resurfacing of Las Plagas and the Majini, supporting the fight as a FOS and only deploying herself when absolutely necessary.

V.RE7 : TBA

V.RE8: Sheva joins Chris Refield's Hound Wolf Squad at his request under the code name Goldie, after she and Chris become mutually disillusioned with the BSAA.

Do you base your Mettaton only on canon or do you have any favorite headcanons borrowed from fandom. Like, do you have any voices (voiceactors etc) that you think are perfect for him?

I'm not just asking about MTT, but about other UT/DR characters as well!

I mostly (try to) base him on canon, although I have so many headcanons about him now that he's basically my own character haha. Mostly stuff taken from my dreams or own ideas tho, I don't really tend to borrow unless it fits my very specific vision that I developed for him. But I do have a few headcanons that I borrowed from others. Like the plug tail. Or that he tastes make-up, nailpolish and hair products to test their quality. Or that his eyes flash red when he's angry. Or that he's aro and pansexual, although idk if I borrowed that.. I think it's actually my own. I just didn't really think about it until I saw other people bring it up as well. Hm. Or that he can feel ALL of his mechanics cause he like. literally became his body. Or that he's ticklish. Those two may or may not correlate. Or cooling fans. Sort of like the ones computers have. As in, instead of blushing his fans start to whirr to try and cool him down. I've seen it in some fanfictions and since it appeared in one of my dreams too it's basically canon to me.

As for the voice.. In Mettaton's case, I got a rather complex, VERY specific headcanon voice for him (mostly based on what he sounds like in my dreams) and I haven't heard anyone sound close enough to it. As for the other UT characters, I conducted a research (stole other people's headcanons basically xD), and made a list of voice(actor)s for them, behold:

So I have been wanting to write one giant some of the teenage characters from stranger things on a roadtrip across the united states for some reason mostly because why not but I haven't really gotten the motivation but I still thought I would share headcanons

Steve: he planned this entire thing mostly because he's got his mom and dads credit cards and he just wants to get revenge so bad

Eddie: now he's causing problems mostly because he didn't pack intill the last possible minute and he was the one in charge of hotels and stuff that was intill they got to Ohio and accidently put them all in a sex motel and then his hotel finding job was given to Jeff

Dustin: now he's the angel he packed like a week in advance he's bringing snacks for literally everyone

Max: this trip was mostly for her so all she had to do was be dragged around like a rag doll

Lucas: he was the one to over pack but like it came in handy because Eleven didn't understand what a roadtrip was

Eleven: didn't understand what a roadtrip was and came completely unprepared

Will: he was the one to be completely and utterly prepared I mean he packed an umbrella just in case a shit ton of sunscreen which came in handy when in Florida I mean this kid was prepared for everything his nickname was literally Mary Poppins that entire trip

Argyle: he was the one to pack the weridest shit like a mannequin don't ask but nobody expected anything different

Jonathan: sorta did a little better but not really

Mike: his mom packed for him and everyone made fun of him for that

Nancy: now she was in charge of the schedule and first aid all that fun stuff she was a total mom on that trip

Chrissy: got dragged into this by Eddie but she brought her parents credit cards as well to help with funding

Robin: was the one to have the bright idea of buying walkie talkies so everyone could talk to each other even in different cars

Jason: totally didn't pack appropriate this guy didn't even pack a swim suit he just wore his clothes into any body of water that he was dragged into also didn't bring himself a coat for when they went to Canada

Andy: in charge of the maps

Gareth: actually in charge of maps

Jeff: he got Eddie's hotel finding job after the sex motel incident in Ohio he actually did a pretty good job didn't get them into a sex motel

Chance: total mom of the trip with Nancy he was like the male version of Nancy that entire trip if Nancy needed a break he would take over for her

Kevin aka unnamed freak: was the one to know all the fun facts he was like a tour guide the entire trip

Billy: he was the one to have drag either people or stuff up to the rooms obviously

Vickie: just like poor Chrissy she was just dragged into this

Josh or Ryan or whatever his name is aka the very tall jock in season four: got dragged into this by Andy nobody knows his name it's like a giant mystery even though it's literally Josh so he has a new name everyday he was called Josh once on that entire trip but he's there human ladder

Barb: dragged into this by Nancy but she was in charge of taking pictures mostly because Jonathan was stoned the entire time the pictures were awesome by the way and she totally made one big giant photo album afterwards

I think that's everyone of importance but I'm not done yet

Eddie grabbing onto his walkie talkie well Steve was snickering under his breath

Eddie: "Andy what is beyond that brush a bearded lady what?"

Andy: "The highway trust me Andy is wise and Andy is good."

Steve holding back laughter at the fact Andy just referred to himself in the third person, Eddie not trusting Andy whatsoever switches channels to talk to Gareth who was staring at his map.

Eddie: "Gareth talk to me please say the highway is past the brush."

Gareth who's better at map reading then Andy looks.

Gareth: "yea I think he's right."

They found the highway eventually but yea the trip was utter chaos

Couple slash other small headcanons

Nobody wanted to share a room with Steve and Eddie for obvious reasons

Puppy piles especially when they couldn't get all the rooms they needed so what they would do is get enough sheets and blankets and just sleep on each other slash the floor it wasn't werid I mean it was weird for some of them but eventually they got use to it

Everyone wanted to share a room with Gareth and Andy

Jason was in charge of room assignments aka who was with who he got bribed a lot

Nancy and Robin were the people you wanted to room with

Eddie and Steve almost got themselves arrested when they decided to have sex in a hotel pool in California

Gareth and Andy had sex in a hallway once don't ask just don't I have no idea how they managed that

Steve accidently walked in on Nancy and Robin he felt horrible for about two months

Jason was also in charge of car seating arrangement that was loads of fun

One time Jeff got stuffed in a trunk because Jason hadn't done the car seating arrangement correctly

No one wants to room or sit in a car with Billy

✰ META / HEADCANON : TIMELINE.

like most properties in literature and visual medias, we are not given an approximate time / date for most of the events that dictate gwen's past, present and future. therefore, the following will be an attempt to pin down some key points in her story, in order to give some semblant of background when it comes to seasons, school terms, etc. the following is mostly headcanon-based, with elements of reality borrowed such as the date of certain episodes airing. in general, i consider the earliest airing date ( usually canadian for events of season one / book one and two , and australian for season two / book three and four ) to be the date of most events, but there are exceptions, such as the final group of episodes.

• as stated in a prior post, gwen was born on november 2nd 1988, in toronto, canada. since her birthday and specific birth place were never stated in the series and books , i have decided to give her the same birthday and birth place as her actress .

• gwen and her mother arrive in griffinvale , australia through a flight from canada to melbourne around late march 2002 . following their arrival , karen starts to completely withdraw herself , hardly speaking and hardly sleeping . during that month, gwen has to stay home to look after her mother , growing worried for her with each passing day .

• a few days after karen stops to eat , gwen chooses to take her mother to the hospital , in the evening of may 4th 2002 , the canadian premiere of the first episode ( the first episode premiering in australia on may 10th ) . seeing her mother grow so much worse to the point she thinks she may die justifies her decision . karen is then institutionalized in the psychiatric wing , while gwen winds up in children's services' care that night . the sole thing she asks is to be close to her mother , which she'll get .

• gwen is taken in by the rosens from children' services in the afternoon of may 5th 2002 , meeting harve and louise first , and her foster sister katie dawson once the latter comes home from school . harve and louise also enroll her in griffin secondary , the sister school to griffin primary , which katie attends . louise offers to take her there the following day , which gwen declines as she is allowed to new schools , stating earlier in the book that she had gone through five schools in five years .

• gwen starts school on the morning of may 6th 2002 . other than history , we have little to no knowledge of her classes on that day . the rest of the events from the first episode unveil : indeed, during her first week at griffin secondary, gwen realises there's something fishy about ms. blatt, the socials teacher. one of her classmates , tasha myers , suspects that ms. blatt is a witch , working a spell to steal youth and beauty from her students . intuiting that gwen has a sensitivity to magic , tasha tries to enlist her to defeat the ever more youthful teacher — but meets with resistance and denial from gwen . gwen also meets tasha's brother josh , as well as the head of the style queens , reine davidson . gwen also has her first encounter with merlin , kickstarting the events of the series .

• the final three episodes ( what guinevere knew / darkness falls / rebellion ) all take place during the same day , around october 18th 2002 at the earliest . having used merlin's stone to save karen at that point , gwen attempts to return the crystal to merlin's time through faerie, but o'leary intervenes and gives the crystal to morgana . in a turn of events that surprises even the man himself , o'leary helps gwen escape when morgana attacks the young girl . gwen and o'leary return to the 21st century to find that morgana has ruled as an immortal for 1500 years . the world, including all of gwen's friends as well as her foster family, suffer under morgana's tyranny — and gwen herself has been declared an outlaw for practicing magic, which in this reality is preserved for morgana alone .
