Reggie vs. Wrench

Hi. My name is Exo, and I know that the way I refer to Wrench is probably confusing to mostly everyone that follows me, because I switch between the two names so frequently in threads and ooc chatter. So here’s my helpful guide to Reginald Blechman, aka The Wrench, and what to refer to him as depending on the situation. 

Is he wearing his mask?

Yes - Call him Wrench.

No - The time where he does not wear a mask all the time are known as the years where he went straight, so you can safely assume your muse may call him Reggie or Reginald. It’s what he’s known as during this time of his life. He’s in a Wired magazine article known as the Future of Robotics because of his company.  Please Note: The Wired article does note him as possibly connected to Dedsec, but there’s no concrete proof, so your muse should not know that he is also The Wrench of Dedsec fame.

During what time period is the thread set in/How old is my muse?

Any thread set Before - During - After Watch Dogs 2 (2014) but Before 2019 will have him being known as The Wrench.

Any thread between 2020 and 2029 will have him being known as Reginald/Reggie Blechman, Robot Daddy.

Any thread Post 2029 is iffy, but he will most likely be known as The Wrench unless otherwise discussed.

If he is between the ages of 23-30, he is The Wrench.

If he is older than 30 but younger than 41, he is called Reginald/Reggie.

Post of the age of 41, it will need to be discussed between us.

Is it possible for you muse to know him as The Wrench but find out what his legal name is?

Yes - But it will need to be discussed between us heavily beforehand.

Why - Post the events of Watch Dogs 2, it can be assumed that the FBI knows who The Wrench is, but it’s not disclosed to any other intelligence agencies, including other governments. 

This is canon, as in London, the refer to him as the American Dedsec operative known as The Wrench. No real names attached.

Exceptions to the secret identity thing - I am willing to make exceptions to the ‘No one knows Wrench is Reginald Blechman, Robot Daddy’ rule, but on a very selective basis.

How -

Reggie isn’t fucking stealthy, his forearms are COVERED in tattoos (tattoo ref post), as are the back of his hands. He’s always been open about these tattoos as the Wrench, and honestly as Reggie, I can see him being the same way. He most definitely rolls up his sleeves a hell of a lot to work on things, so they are extremely visible. Of course, he was rarely ever successfully photographed while in Dedsec, so it’s hard to find proof of him being The Wrench

He has a certain... style, aesthetic, whatever you would like to call it, to his work. Studs, a grungy punk rocker look, graffiti, etc. They are common in the work of both his lives.
