Summary: Josh is a very emotional person, and his only outlet on those emotions is his beautiful, recent wife, y/n. so after a beautiful football win, he decides to treat his beautiful wife

Notes: despite the HORRIBLE summary, this is going to be good and cute i PROMISE.

Josh was so giddy and happy, not only because of the game, but today was the first day he got to come home from a win, and he greeted by his newly wed wife, instead of his long term girlfriend

it was his first time going home to see the woman, whom he’s been with for ten years, as his wife, and his forever. and boy did he have an amazing celebration for them.

walking through the door, freshly showered and happily excited. “Princess i’m home!” he said excitedly, finding his wife laying on the couch in an oversized bills hoodie, curtesy of joshes side of the closet. “Hey joshey!” she said, swinging her legs over the couch, smiling at her husband. “hello my wife” he spoke, kissing her forehead. “Congrats on the win my love, you played amazing, i’m so sorry i couldn’t be there” she apologized, y/n didn’t really enjoy the stadium scene, she loved watching the games from home, but actually being there put a pit in her stomach because of the fact she was alone without josh in a group full of people, so she opted with staying home and cheering him on from the couch. she does attend some games, sitting with his parents in the VIP box, but only the games they can attend, to make her feel a bit more comfortable.

“never mind that, you watched that’s all that matters. how is my wife?” he asks, sitting next to her on the couch, draping his arm over her shoulder and kissing her cheek. “i’m great really, enjoying lounging around” josh smiled, standing up. “we’ll too bad, go change i have a surprise” he said with a big goofy grin. y/n looked at him suspiciously, as he grabbed her hand to help her off the couch. “what is it?” josh laughed, pulling her up gently, and rubbing her back. “you wish” he whispered, kissing her cheek and walking toward their bedroom.

after y/n got dressed josh led her to the car, opening the door for his wife. “josh what are we doing?” she asked as he got into the driver seat of his car. “we’re going shopping” he said, pulling out of the driveway. “what for?” josh grabbed y/ns hand in his and rested them on the center console. “whatever your heart desires babe” y/n shook her head. josh interrupted before she could say a word. “before you say anything about celebrating my win, this is how i want to do it. i want to sit down and have a nice dinner with my wife and treat her to whatever she wants to buy” he explained, smiling over at her, she nodded quietly, happy and content with her life.

as the drive went on, y/n watched josh as he drove the car. “i’m proud of you for your win today babe” she spoke, running her fingers across his hand. “i really appreciate that” he said, bringing her hand up to kiss it. “you played really well and you kept your cool” she continued, wanting to make it clear that she watched the game, she felt bad for not being able to attend. “y/n, love, you don’t have to worry about not coming to my games” he promised. “i know you support me and you try every time you can” josh reassured y/n, letting her know that he wasn’t upset at all by her not being there.

once the two got to the mall, josh opened y/ns door and led her into the mall, her hand held tightly in his own. their first stop, one hundred percent josh’s idea, was the lego store. “josh we will never have time to build one of these” y/n laughed, josh shook his head and led her to the lego flower section. “we will reserve a date night for wine, movies, and legos” he said, happily allowing y/n to pick a set. y/n grabbed the roses and josh grabbed the cherry blossom bonzai tree and the husband and wife checked out of the store

through out the store josh was being stopped left and right for pictures, but y/n didn’t mind, she always stepped off to the side and waited for the large crowd to subside from her husband so they could continue their much needed family time. but one crowd in particular did not allow y/n to enjoy her time with josh. it was a group of four girls, all about 14, all wanting pictures with josh. y/n stepped aside, trying to go unseen by the eyes of the public, keeping completely to herself as she walked over and sat on a bench. the girls, after their picture, had continued to ask josh various questions, and crowd him with warnings of facetimes to friends, and autographs, and to make tiktoks, and all josh wanted was to be with his wife

“girls, i really do appreciate the support but my wife-“ the tallest girl cut him off. “josh my dads a big fan can you call him?” josh shook his head. “i really need to get back to my wife” he said, turning towards y/n. the girl crossed her arms. “wow. i thought you were a nice guy, seems to me like your faking it” she said, taking a stab at his attempt to just go shopping with his wife. josh turned around, not noticing y/n walking towards them. “like i said girls, i really appreciate the support, but my whole life isn’t football and pictures and autographs, i have a wife. and she is my whole world, and i will not jeopardize my whole world pictures and tiktoks with 14 year olds” he came off a bit more rude than he wished, but his anger got the best of him as he turned to find his wife grabbing his hand to drag him away from the crowd.

“can a guy not have alone time with his woman from time to time?” josh laughed, draping his arm over y/ns shoulder as they walked away. “not when that guy is a famous football player” y/n said, laughing back at him. “i love playing football and i love the fans, but man they gotta understand that i love my wife way more” y/n giggled, kissing joshes hand that rests on her shoulder. “i love you josh” she said, smiling. “i love you sweet girl” he promised.

the next store the couple found themselves in was build a bear, and without any protests, y/n began running through the store like a kid.

she squealed as she came across the nightmare before christmas section “i don’t know which one to choose!” she complained, deciding between getting all three lock shock and barrel, or oogie boogie, or jack. “they are so cute” she complained some more, huffing and puffing over stuffed bears. “how about i get jack, and you get sally and we can do voice memos and i’ll take sally to put in my locker at work, and you take jack” josh suggested, to which y/n almost fell over out of happiness.

y/n grabbed the bear for sally and began to build her, making josh stand on the other side of the store waiting, so that the voice memo could be a surprise. when she was finished it was josh’s turn. the two promised not to play the voice memos until josh went to work the next morning, and y/n was at home.

after the mall, josh had picked a restaurant , because y/n was TERRIBLE at deciding where to eat, and they had finally sat down to relax. josh held both of y/ns hands across the table as they talked. y/n rambled i’m about her day, and how happy she was to watch the game, and josh rambled about all of the things he could’ve improved on and all of the things he had shown signs of already improving on.

y/n loved listening to josh rant about football, something about his voice automatically calmed her down from the world. she loved spending this time with josh.

“thank you for taking me out today” she said, smiling at him. “of course y/n, we deserve to have some time to just us, husband and wife” he said, running his thumb atop her knuckles.

the next day, when josh was at practice, y/n grabbed the jack bear, and sat on her and josh’s bed.

while josh had done the same at the stadium, finding some privacy to listen to the bear

y/n pressed play. “I love you princess, never forget. every single win is for you my wife, mwah!” y/n giggled, hugging the bear to her chest. her smile never faded.

may the stadium, or was josh’s turn to press play. “Remember to stay calm joshy, don’t forget i’m always watching your games no matter what, win or lose, i love you!” josh smiled so bright, with all that love, this bear could win buffalo a super bowl.

Stef had always thought of Josh’s scent like a campfire, warm and comforting, but now it burns hard and fast. Josh ignores him, of course, patting the omega on the shoulder before leaning in closer. “It’s okay, Stefon. I knew you’d run eventually,” he says in that patronizing voice, like Stef is a child that needs to be scolded, not a grown-ass adult that can make his own decisions. Josh was beyond nervous to read the letter, or for y/n to read her letter. “josh, read the letter” jason said, putting his hand on josh’s shoulder. “if y/n wasn’t a hundred and ten percent sure about the both of you she wouldn’t have stayed with you ten years. i know i would’ve left you 10 years ago” he joked.

josh took a breath, opening the letter.

Josh felt the burning in the back of his throat. he shook his head with a bright smile. “jason, i really love her” josh said, folding the letter and putting it in his bag.

“i know you do josh, it’s time to go see her”

Josh stood, smoothing out his suit, and fixing his hair. “i’m seriously going to vomit” josh said, standing in front of the door.

“your telling me, when you open this door, my girl is going to be standing outside of the other door in a beautiful dress that i havnt seen and that’s the last time i’ll ever see her as my girlfriend?” jason laughed. “your both gonna be blind folded” he explained, putting the blind fold on josh’s eyes. “when y/n says, you’ll both take your blind folds off” josh nodded, completely sightless “in less than an hour she’s gonna be your wife” josh was holding his breath trying not to cry.

jason stood at the door with his hand on the knob. “ready josh?” josh nodded “i can’t wait” so jason opened the door, and josh stepped out of it.

“hi joshy” y/n said. y/n hadn’t told josh that she wasn’t blind folded, she had a surprise.

josh had a bag in his pocket, they were doing a present exchange. a forever gift as y/n has been calling it. josh reached his hand out. “y/n” he whispered under his breath, he didn’t know how to talk. “y/n baby, i love you” he said as she took his hand into her own. “i can’t believe we’re getting married today” y/n said, as her sister and jason went back into seperate rooms, leaving the two alone.

y/n wasn’t blindfolded, josh didn’t know.

“josh i want to open your present first” she said, her finger running over his hand “can you see me?” she giggled “yeah” josh scoffed “you suck!” he laughed, smiling at his future wife. he reached into his pocket and pulled out the small bag.

it was a small locket, y/n opened it, looking at the pictures inside of it. “joshy…” the pictures where the two of them in her college dorm, and the two of them on their first date at his football game. “this is beautiful” she whispered under her breath.

after skillfully putting the locket on, wanting it for the wedding, and she put her hand on josh’s face. “i’m gonna take your blindfold off josh” he smiled. “i want to see my beautiful girl”

she pulled off his blind fold and his mouth fell open. “y/n…” he looked at his fiancé, studying her entire body. “it’s so beautiful, your so so beautiful” his eyes welled with tears. “i’m gonna vomit” he said, making y/n almost fall over from laughing.

josh was full on face full of tears, “i never saw myself being married to anyone.” he held both her hands. “but the second i saw you in your bummed out clothes and your messy hair all i could think about was marrying you one day.” he pulled one hand up and wiped his tears away. “i am so happy, because,” he took a breath because of a sob irrupting from his throat. y/n pulled him into a hug. he buried his head into her shoulder. “do not ruin my dress joshua!” she laughed, hugging him close. “i’m so happy because i found the person who is going to grow old with me.” he looked up from the hug, putting his hand on her cheek. “and you are the most beautiful girl in the entire world

y/n” y/n smiled, then her eyes brightened up “josh!” she giggled, letting go of his hands and putting them into her dress. “it has pockets!!” she showed, twirling around with happiness as she remembered the main reason she bought this dress

“oh yeah” she then pulled out a stick, not wrapped, not bagged, just the stick it’s self, placing it into his hand.

“no your kidding” josh said, as he realized what she just placed in his hand. “this is your present?” his hands began to shake. “Y/n your joking, like this is really fake” his eyes welled with tears again, and y/ns did as well

“we’re having a baby josh” she whispered, he looked up into her eyes. “i’m gonna be a dad” she nodded, and he pulled her into a big hug. as josh cried, holding y/n, jason and y/s walked into the hall. “it’s time” y/s said, josh let go of y/n, kissing her cheek.

“i’ll see you at the alter beautiful”

y/n smiled, watching her future husband walk out of the room with jason, and she saw the exact moment josh told jason he was goin go to be a dad. josh turned once more to look at his fiancé one last time as his fiancé “i’m gonna puke right now”

Wrong Dorm Bro -Josh Allen

summary: josh is in search of his roomate, in his journey he seems to have forgotten the dorm number. he had no idea what that would do to his future

notes: i literally had so much fun writing this and josh does not get enough love as it is. i must show you i love him. buckle up, this is a long one, a REALLY long one.

this is a prequel, for the last one, and there WILL be a part two.

Josh had been going to wyoming for over a month now, and everyday Josh’s roommate clay was either at his girlfriends dorm or his girlfriend was in theirs. Josh found it quite annoying, considering he didn’t have himself a girl, but they were pretty good friends. Sometimes, clays girlfriend would be off with friends and they’d have time to hang out. it was clays turn to buy food, since josh had the previous two nights for clay and his girlfriend .

So josh booked it to the girls dorms. he knew exactly what floor they were on, but the rest of the numbers where a blur. he tried to see if the doors had there names on them, and so far he’s ruled out half the doors.

he was terrified of opening the wrong door, afraid that he would upset someone. but he sucked in his gut and and knocked on a random door.

the door opened, and josh stood in shock as if he’d never seen a woman before. she was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. he almost couldn’t speak, the way she leaned on the side of the door frame the second he opened the door, figuring he was asking her about Jesus Christ. her long hair was messy, but cute. it fell infront of her face as she waited for this strange man to tell her exactly what he was doing here.

“May i help you?” she asks. he observed that her room had one bed, she didn’t have a room mate. this was so obviously not the form clay was in. Josh took a breath, smirking towards the girl in a desperate attempt to allow him to keep talking to her. “i’m looking for clay, clay marsh?” y/n cracked a smile. “next door over, but i wouldn’t go in there now if i was you, they sound a bit busy” he laughed at her joke, she was the sarcastic, kind type of girl that josh liked.

“i’m josh” he said. “i know who you are josh allen” she said, opening up her door more. “would you like to come in?” he immediately took the offer, walking in as she shut the door.

she gestured for him to sit on the bed, which he took. she sat in her desk chair. “y/n” she said across from him. “what?” he asked, “that’s my name, you didn’t ask” she told him, examining his stature.

she knew he played football, she came to every single one of the games, even some away games. not for him, but she admired the way he played. plus he was really cute.

“how’d you know me?” he asked her, doing the examining right back. her facial features were soft, and her eyes never left his. He could tell she was strong, the way that there was a big football player in her room and she didn’t even break her smirk she’s had since he knocked on her door.

“i come to all the games”

“just to see me?” he teased. “no. i’m a big football fan, have always been” she points to the countless signed bengals items through out her room. “i grew up in ohio”

he nodded. “why are you here?” he asked her. “i got a free ride, it’s nice. but i really want to go back to my family.” she smiled sadly, considering how much she missed ohio. quickly her sad smile turned into a smirk

“oh mr. allen is getting bold” she said, but the more he examined her face, her smirk turned into a soft, beautiful smile ever so slightly, and quickly turned back. “how will i be in our future relationship” he smiled, she wasn’t scared away

“loyal, extremely loyal even if i’m a sucky boyfriend” he said, and she put her hand on her chest. “are you emplying my bengals suck? or are you implying that you are going to be a sucky boyfriend” she pretended to be offended by his words

“i would always treat you like the princess you are” he smirked

“plus the only ring your gonna get is when i propose if the bengals keep andy dalton.” she burst into an eruption of laughter.

“what? am i not allowed to say that to my future wife?” she giggled even more with every sentence. “Oh joshy, here’s the proposition” he ever so slightly blushed at the nickname.

“when the bengals win a super bowl for the first time, then i’ll marry you” she said, his smile was wide.

he didn’t expect that relationship to lead to marriage, especially with the current way the bengals were playing. he was just flirting with a beautiful girl.

“you should come to my game tomorrow” he said. “i already am going joshy” she said, smirking once again. “yeah but you should come for me, i can get coach to let you watch from the sidelines, we’re playing ohio state” he said, scooting back on y/ns bed. “where are you taking me after?” josh stood up, walking towards the door.

“how about you just show up looking beautiful and i’ll take you after i shower after the game yeah?” she smiled, a real, genuine, soft smile.

“i’ll see you then joshy” he opened the door and she stood to watch him leave, completely forgetting about clay.

After that night, josh and y/n spent every day together. josh was always studying in y/ns dorm, and y/n was at every one of his games and practices.

campus began to know her as josh’s number one supporter, wearing his jersey every Friday like she was still in high-school, and she went all out.

when the two of them graduated, y/n went to the nfl draft with josh, and when he was drafted by the buffalo bills y/n jumped and screamed and cried. she was so happy for him.

she had quickly fallen in love with josh, she feels she had loved him since his proposal, since he knocked on the wrong dorm.

y/ns love for josh was so big, that she decided to move across the country with him, they lived in buffalo and she traveled to every game with him.

in 2020, joe burrows year, y/n was so excited. in december, y/n got a call from the cincinnati bengals to join their social media team.

“joshy?” y/n and josh lived in buffalo, and josh was getting ready for the wild card game. He sat alone in his office where he watched film, watching film. “hi princess” he smiled, pausing his video.

“joshy, i need to talk to you” she pulled a chair next to him. “of course babe, what’s up!” he pulled her closer, putting his hands on her hips, kissing her lips quickly. “so, you know i love you” she said, placing her hand on his cheek. “and we’re going to get married some day” he nervously laughed “only if the bengals win, can’t forget the bet” she smiled sadly

“joshy, i got a job offer” he nodded. “im glad baby, sad you can’t come to my away games, but happy” he smiled, but she still looked sad. “baby come on just tell me” y/n took a big breath. “i want to start my career, and traveling with you is the happiest i’ve ever been. but i want to start a career and work for myself, especially before i get married to you” she explained. “i’m going to move to Cincinnati to work on the social media team” she had her eyes closed the entire time, but she felt josh bring her into a hug.

“princess i’m so proud of you” she said, holding her close. “soon enough i’m gonna marry you. so what if we’re apart a year or two? i’ll stay with you during off season and when we play the bengals, and i’ll call you everyday and it’s gonna be hard but i will love you for ever and always”

she cried into his shoulder. “you’ve worked so hard for this beautiful girl.”

y/n did move away, she moved in may and departed from josh in mid June, josh was right. it was hard, they argued, y/n got jealous, josh got nervous, y/n got nervous, josh got jealous. but they never went to bed angry.

when the bengals beat the chiefs in the 21-22 AFC championship game, y/n got a call from josh while she was at the game.

“Hi joshy!!” y/n was crying happy tears because of her team since forever, “Pick a dress beautiful we’re getting married!!” he said happily, y/n smiled so excitedly. “Gotta wait two weeks to see joshy” she smiled. “no negativity” he told her, because that’s usually what she said to him when he talked negatively to the bengals

but sadly, those two weeks didn’t end well. Josh met y/n at the super bowl, and they watched together. but after the game y/n cried real tears and josh held her, actually disappointed “next year is our year” he said, she laughed “okay bills mafia” she giggled.

josh wasn’t kidding. he had a ring in his pocket and everything, but he won’t tell y/n that, not until it happens.

plz ignore if it's spoilers :)) but I am very curious about Daniel's POV in all of this and especially his relationship with Max. Is there a bit of 'what if?' that he feels? Like, if he didn't break Max's trust by leaving, he might be in the position that Charles is in now? Or disappointment that their dynamic was strictly dom/sub in scene and he never got the opportunity to 'be nice' to Max and have that different level of closeness with him. To paraphrase Taylor Swift said....will he always wonder? He clearly respects Charles and his relationship with Max (and is very happy to be Josh Allen's WAG apparently lmaoo) but, I am thinking that there is a subset of his feelings towards max that aren't just platonic/sexual...is that something Daniel has assessed if it is there?

And, we know Charles is a possessive little freak. Does he feel at all resentful or jealous that Danny got to experience these things with Max first? That Max was able to open up to Daniel sexually like this but kept it reserved with Charles. Or is the knowledge that at the end of the day Max chose him and is his forever person enough?

For the record, you have awakened a monster with these questions, because I have been waiting for someone to ask about Daniel. Heartbreak highway ahead.

Daniel and Max are soooooo complicated in the Search History universe. (spoilers for 09000767)

- it's blatantly clear to the RedBull garage that Max was not raised right, or with much love in the home, and the way he throws himself into events and parties and PR events, the way he'll do anything if he thinks it'll get him even a scrap of affection, is something the whole garage, especially Daniel, can see. Max is also a minor when Daniel meets him, so he's not thinking of him in an intimate way at all- he thinks Max has a bit of a puppy love/hero worship thing going on.

- Daniel even jokes with Christian in 09000767 that he's "too responsible about his victory sex to be a father". He views a lot of both his and the garages earlier interactions with Max as raising him, or in the fic they describe it as teaching him how to be a person.

- unfortunately, when all your development happens in a sport like F1, shit gets complicated fast, so Max ends up with some heavy dependencies on bad habits when he's 18/19. (he drinks, he does drugs, he does both at once) Daniel only picks up on this when Max starts really spiraling.

- Daniel steps in to pull Max out of his spiral, and the whole thing is a moral grey area, because what Max needs at that point is professional help, but Daniel doesn't want to tell the team because Max will get kicked out, and Daniel (rightfully) assumes that would be the worst possible thing for Max at the time.

- Max, at this point, has really only been around Jos. He doesn't handle softness or tenderness, and he'll butt heads with anyone and everyone, so Daniel is kind of backed into a corner- to take care of Max, he needs Max to listen to him, to make Max listen to him, he needs to be firm. He doesn't necessarily want to treat Max that way, but he's picking up on the way that Max isn't really capable of looking out for himself, and that he needs someone to step in and tell him what to do.

- Daniel ends up taking Max back to a small place he has in Australia, which is where the dom/sub thing starts, and it's a very slippery slope for the two of them. Daniel starts kind of micro-managing for the two of them, because he notices Max does well with that, and it's clearly making some kind of progress. He tells Max when they eat, when they sleep, when they workout. He's washing Max's hair, portioning his food, and he's constantly watching him.

- Max gets his wires crossed (Daniel is taking care of him and telling him what to do) and starts unintentionally slipping into subspace. Neither of them realize that's what's happening for a while.

- for my 09000767 readers, the first time Daniel gets Max off he's not even really touching him in a sexual way, he's massaging his muscles after a run, and Max is young and on a hair trigger so Daniel kind of just. lets him. He notices what's happening and doesn't explicitly stop it, because he's mentally decided: "If Max needs his positive verbal enforcement to also come with the positive chemical reinforcement an orgasm gives, Daniel can do that."

- Daniel has mentally told himself that if Max makes it a sex thing for himself that's okay, but Daniel's not actually going to fuck him, which leads to a lot of situations where Daniel is talking Max through it, telling him what to do or what not to do, and Daniel doesn't really think about it a whole lot, beyond the fact that it's helping and it's progress and it means Max has a chance of being okay.

- Daniel doesn't really recognize it as a dom/sub thing until Max starts really dropping with him, and even then he's not super informed, he's just like "this seems more intense than it's supposed to be". When he looks it up and starts learning, he realizes they've been doing it all wrong, so he puts a lot of effort into learning how to do it right.

- one of the things Daniel tells Max to do in 09000767 is come up with less destructive coping mechanisms, and Max ends up saying one of them is subbing for Daniel, so they end up still doing it, even when Max is pulled out of his nosedive and ends up doing better.

- throughout this entire thing, Daniel is aware that what he has with Max is not healthy, and it's foundations are inherently wrong. He's always telling himself he won't go further, and every time he still does, and he also is well aware that Max has never actually had a relationship before.

- Daniel recognizes that Max would let him do anything to him, and he fundamentally feels wrong about the whole thing, especially because when Daniel is actually with someone, he wants to be nice to them, doesn't always want to have to be firm, and he feels like he needs to be that way with Max.

- Daniel is also aware of Charles, and pretty much everyone except Max has always been able to tell that the two of them are special, that they really mean something to each other. He kind of has a feeling the whole time that Max is going to end up with Charles, it's inevitable.

- Daniel gears his time with Max more towards learning healthier things, but he's never really tender with him the way he wants to be, because he and Max are never going to get to be that way, and who is Daniel to get in the middle of that?

- Max is convinced that he loves Daniel, and that's just another reason Daniel knows their relationship is wrong, because Max doesn't know what love is yet, and Daniel knows it. So he breaks Max's heart, and he leaves Redbull. Leaves Max.

- when Daniel goes to Renault, he leaves Max behind, because it's a lesson Max needs to learn. (and also, because Redbull needs a primary driver, and Redbull loved them both, and you can't have that in a team. The team cannot love both and succeed at the same time, something has to give, and Daniel has only ever wanted the best for Max. Daniel knows how to learn a team, how to adjust, but Max will never be able to thrive anywhere but Redbull.)

(Max's first real heartbreak is Daniel's final act of love. He will never see that.)

(Charles can.)

- Charles enters the grid and can immediately tell Max and Daniel have something going on, because he's never seen Max like that with anyone, but he doesn't particularly care at the time, too busy with racing and trying to impress Ferrari, and as long as Daniels not trying to claim he's Max's rival they have no problems.

- obviously, the entire grid can feel the tension when Daniel leaves Redbull, and no one really talks about it, buts it's an unspoken thing. Max closes off a bit to the other drivers, although he goes home with people at parties a lot, though it starts to really taper down right before covid hits anyways.

- when Charles and Max first get together, Max assumes that they're strictly hookups for several months, doesn't realize until they're out to dinner and he asks why Charles is bothering, he could've just invited him to his hotel room.

- Charles then assumes Max's last partner treated him like absolute shit, and he's furious about it, before Max catches on, and Max is mature enough (mostly) to look back at his situation and recognize it for how complicated it actually was, and they have a whole conversation about it.

- Charles realizes midway through the conversation that Daniel really did love Max, and he realizes at the same time that Max will never see that, will only ever see Daniel leaving him.

- Charles has some moments in Search History where he realizes Daniel still loves Max, might always love him just a little bit, and he can't find it in him to be upset or angry about it, because what Daniel did for Max to help take care of him Charles can never repay him for.

- in 1+1+1, if Daniel wasn't also dom'ing Charles, it might've been a problem, but instead it's a genuine three way thing for that weekend, and it also gives Charles a slight peek behind the curtain, at the way Daniel wanted to love Max, the way he can't.

- "It is very easy, being sweet to him." "Yeah. It is." This right here is the entire summarization of Daniel and Charles' relationship. Charles stating it like a fact, like the sky is blue, because it's something he gets to do, as easy as breathing. Daniel stating it like a jail sentence, because it's something he never got to do, and never will, it's a reminder of something he'll always wonder if he could've handled better, something he'll never get to have.

- Daniel does eventually end up with someone in a healthy relationship, where he gets to treasure them the way he wants, and he gets loved endlessly in return. (no spoilers.)
