I think the funniest thing Jon could do if a doctor ever asked him about his missing ribs is look them straight in the eye, and say in the most deadpan voice "cosmetic surgery.", and simply refuse to elaborate.

tma au someone on tiktok came up with post-finale that iirc a bunch of people got briefly obsessed with for no reason and cosplayed for like a week (maybe I'm combining a few memories? it's been a few years). it was the magnus archives but they worked at a car dealership.

Posting here because I, quite frankly, fear the short Jon anon.

I picture Jon as being average height and the perception of how tall he is changes based on the context. Like:

season 5 monster Jon: 5’8 is tall

While being kidnapped: 5’8 is short

(Not in a magic way but in a his demeanour makes him look smaller/bigger depending on the situation way.)

a lot of Jon's actions make a lot more sense when you remember that he was running on like three hours of sleep per season.

Like sure i wouldn't normally come to the conclusion that breaking a table that's definitely binding a entity who ate my friend or letting someone take my rib is a good idea but after severely fucking up my sleep schedule and only getting like 2 hours it's starting to sound more reasonable.

First listen to: MAG 131 - Flesh

I’ve been struggling to articulate why s4 Jon feels so different from previous seasons. Melanie showing up again made me realize what it was. Jon has lost his anger. S1 Jon was uptight. S2 is when we see him at his angriest due to his paranoia. In s3 Jon was the punching bag for the other entities and was constantly exasperated. In s4 he’s a lot calmer. He hasn’t snapped at anybody. This doesn’t mean much but it fascinates me.

It’s fun seeing Helen again. I wonder what her goal is in all this. Her support doesn’t come from a place of goodwill. I wonder if Melanie trusts her more than she trusts Jon right now. I wish we could see how they first met.

I was not expecting Jared Hopworth’s voice to be so deep. I missed half the stuff he said even though I was trying hard to listen. I had to do a double take when I saw that Alex J Newall did the voice for Jared. If you had told me that Martin and Jared were voiced by the same person I would’ve called you a liar.
