I think my favorite Martin expression in the entire show is the one right after Sholto says from behind the door, “Mr. Holmes, you and I are similar, I think.”

It’s one of the most damning expressions in the show, like… why would he make THAT face if it were just a statement of how Sherlock and Sholto are platonically similar? Most people just think it’s neat when their friends meet each other and realize they’re similar, but John’s face is just like, “HAH THIS IS REALLY MY FUCKING LIFE, I WILL NEVER ESCAPE”

Ahhh, not SPECIFICALLY "only one bed" but I do have a LOT of "Bed sharing" fics where the majority of them are "victims of circumstances" so in turn Share A Bed, LOL. And because I need a list for today, I'm using your list to put out the next part that doesn't have much but I did go through my MFL list to pad it out a bit. For those, I whittled down that section to fics specifically tagged with "one bed" LOL, so check that section out to get more closer to what you're looking for.

If anyone has some fics to share that are SPECIFICALLY One Bed, please do!!!! One of these days I will properly sit down and go through all my bookmarks, and then I'll filter those out from these lists.

Reply: I feel like you are the same person who asked for fics where John "saves the day" and weren't satisfied with my response (although elwinglyre's fic was in that collection). So, here is my second attempt. I'm sure there are a lot more, but this is what I've come up with for now:

John rescues Sherlock

Between Friends by SilentAuror (18K, E, Johnlock) Sherlock gets abducted. As John discovers him tied up naked in an empty storage facility and comes to rescue him, Sherlock's body has an unfortunate reaction which triggers a series of events.

hands full of matter by simplyclockwork (21K, E, Johnlock) When Sherlock is captured in Serbia, Mycroft cannot afford to involve the British government in his rescue. Instead, he sends John.

How to Unfold a Heart by elwinglyre (25K, E, Johnlock) Past horrors return unexpectedly in a cryptic note folded in the shape of a heart. To decipher the message, Sherlock must uncover the nature of the hearts around him, including his own.

Review: They really are so bad at talking to each other. This fic has just enough angst that I felt that they were in character, but also just enough interaction between John and Sherlock that I didn’t feel overwhelmed by the angst. I also liked how they eventually figured out how to communicate that I felt actually made sense. Most fics feel almost forced when they end up talking about their feelings finally but this one took it slow and realistic, at least to me, enough that I wanted to know what was going to happen next but I wasn’t wasting away at the angst. Good job.  Rating: E

At least they saved John's ex boyfriend before heading to the reception. Then he's conveniently NEVER mentioned again. But yay, Sherlock's finally in touch with his sentimental side and now he's camping it up with a new female bestie who might be a potential love interest. Either way he's still unattainable since John's now married and on the road to fatherhood. It's everything he thought he was supposed to want and yet it's nothing he really needs.

remember when sherlock professed his love for the first time at johns wedding and damn near made the man cry for finally having said it, but at the wrong place and at the wrong time because he should have confessed his feelings for john years ago and you can read it on both of their faces.
