Oniyanagi 1st Generation Bosses

OCtober Day 4: Under-appreciated OC

Sorry this took a while @social-muffin! Also thank you for your interest in Kana and Kurumi's great-great-great grannies hahaha The questions below are based from Muffin's KHR OC ask post over here 🥰✨

I thought answering the questions for this prompt would work as a way to talk about them, since I barely get to draw/talk abt them vs their 10th gen counterparts. But do not be fooled, they also live in my head rent-free. Whenever I remember them, I start screaming, crying and throwing up. Thank you KHR for having a 1st gen in ur story, its another excuse for us to make another set of twin OCs.

What's your OCs name, pronouns and gender?

(Left, Older Twin) Name: Rinko Ninomiya Pronouns: She/Her Gender/Sex: Female (Gigachad, Alpha Female)

(Right, Younger Twin) Name: Ryuuka Ninomiya Pronouns: Any (People mostly use She/Her due to their clothing) Gender/Sex: Male (Doesn't bother correcting people who see them as Female, like with Kana, I'll mostly use she/her for consistency)

What's their current age and what age do/did they get involved with the khr Canon?

I guess if we were to make a sidestory for them, we'd make the "current" timeline for the story when their age is around 23-24. But the first time they kind of got involved with KHR canon should be around mid-teens, when they met Asari! Then around age 19-20, Rinko should've met Giotto by then.

For comparison, the twins are more or less one year older than Giotto.

What do they look like? Height, weight, unique physical features? (Drawings, Picrews, descriptions, all are welcome! Except AI art lmao)

Anyway, they both have the exact same height (168cm) and weight (49kg). For any unique physical features, I guess that would be for Ryuuka? She always tries to make it so that she's the same height/weight as her older twin. Even the choice of feminine clothing is because she wants to be perceived to have a feminine appearance like her.

What's your OCs relation to KHR? Are they someone's guardian, friend, subordinate, love interest? Or are they a family member of a canon character? If so, how are they related to that character?

They're both Giotto's close friends! This is the root of where the current Vongola and Oniyanagi's partnership agreement came from in the 10th Gen period. Rinko met Giotto first in a formal social gathering at Italy, through Asari. Rinko had a crush on Giotto at first sight, so naturally(to her), she immediately tried to befriend him like the gigachad that she is.

(fucksdjfhjsdf now I'm remembering that one tik/tok jojo sent me with the "itulak mo ako!"/"push me!", except it's Rinko and she asked Asari to push her to Giotto's direction => so Giotto can catch her lmao hahahaha)

Ryuuka wasn't there at that time since she was in Japan managing family affairs while Rinko was away, but she did eventually get to meet Giotto some time after that. Rinko looked very happy when she came home after all and told her all about the new friends/allies/business partners that she made while in Italy.

In the 1st Gen Vongola Guardians line-up, Ryuuka is also close friends with Asari. While they do spar together, since they're both experts with swords. More often, she also just goes to hang out and listen to him play the flute.

Rinko is also friends with Knuckle, the problem is that she's trying to get him to retire as priest and go back to boxing. So they can be gym junkies together 😭 (please imagine someone trying to convince their who swore off drinking to start drinking again)

What's your OCs flame/flames? If they have multiple, which flame is their strongest?

Both of them have Sky flames!

How does your OC use their flame? Strictly for combat, or more recreationally? Is flame use something instinctive to them, or do they have to direct their flame consciously?

From what me and Sou have right now, they currently just use it during combat. Though even then, they only use it when needed (usually it's not). The use of flames is also instinctive to them too.

Does your OC have a mafia family they are a part of? If so, what's their position in that Familia?

They're both the boss of the Oniyanagi yakuza family! Though the one seen more in public is Rinko, since she's the one mostly in the frontline of both battles and networking opportunities. On the other hand, Ryuuka is often locked up in her lab and handles various matters behind the scenes.

If your OC was a civillain what would their job be? Would they be happy with that job? Would they be good at it?

I'm thinking of modern times jobs right now so it's more fun hehe

Rinko would be a gym instructor that also runs a travel vlog channel! She love working out so much (it's insane) and has a wander lust as well. She'd be very good at both and would be very popular for it. She's also a great cook, the only catch is that she adds protein in almost all of her dishes.

Ryuuka is already a scientist herself. But she'd very much be a full time scientist as a civilian, particularly in the field of Biotechnology. She'd be a renowned expert in her industry, just don't let Umbre//lla Corp hire her (yes, this is a RE reference). She'd also be one of Geppetto Lorenzini's biggest fans in a gatekeeping type of way.

Do you have a voice actor picked out for your OC? If yes, why did you pick this voice actor? (If someone talked with your oc, what would they notice about their voice?)

Rinko's voice claim is Ami Koshimizu, while Ryuuka's voice claim is Kana Hanazawa!

Sou and I had twin OCs in Hai//kyuu before with these voice claims, so we just thought to reuse them. We listened to some of their roles and confirmed that these would still fit!

Last question! What's your OCs current fashion style? And what's their dream style? Are they close?

Rinko used to wear kimono or yukata, but ever since she started travelling to more western countries, she started to have a preference for western style clothing as well, so she wears suits and dresses in those styles.

Mostly when at work, Ryuuka just wears a white lab coat with a black turtleneck dress underneath. Though when just chilling at home or on rest days, she wears a black yukata and a white haori. She doesn't really have a dream style, since fashion isn't on her priority list.

1. Orihime Inoue from Bleach- She was reduced to a pair of boobs that’s only purpose was to be in love with the main character and scream his name. She honestly had potential to be great but became the damsel in distress for Ichigo to save for the rest of the series.

2. Michal Amagi from Mermaid Melody- REALLY ANNOYING. GOD DAMN. Her excuse for being a manipulative bitch was because she was sick and sheltered. Used it as an excuse to keep Kaito with her and is a total bitch to Lucia.

3.  Kirino Kosaka from Oreimo- She’s really annoying and hits her brother a lot. A bitch for no reason. Idk why he fell for her. His sister. His sister.

4.  Haru Miura/Kyoko Sasagawa from Katekyo Hitman Reborn- Yall might think this is cheating but they are basically the same. They are cute girls there to just cry and be protected by the heroes. (Spoilers) LITERALLY FUTURE TSUNA SAID THEY WERE BROUGHT TOO SO PRESENT TSUNA WOULD HAVE A REASON TO FIGHT. The fact that they were put in the kitchen for most of the anime is pretty telling. The episode where they boycott their duties while the guys are training and fighting to protect them just pissed me off so much. I know they are starved for info about their situation but seeing how much the guys are struggling, now with the added burden of not eating properly for their training because the girls were being grumpy like my goooooodddddddddd fuck right off.

5. Komori Yui from Diabolik Lovers- MY GOD GIRL. STRUGGLE. SCREAM. TRY TO FIGHT BACK. WHY ARE YOU BEING REMOTELY FRIENDLY WITH ALL THESE MOFOS????? WHY DIDN’T YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO STAB THE GUY WITH THE SILVER WHEN THE ONLY DECENT ONE TOLD YOU TO TO HELP YOU? YOU WANNA DIE???? WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS???

12. Tama from Gintama- Her original arc with her pseudo-father was a great introduction to her character. After that she was placed in the background mostly but when she had her own focused episodes I find myself really intrigued. Her learning human concepts like having fun with Gintoki, or being friends with a vending machine are just adorable and make me want to learn about her even more. Don’t even get me started on her impact in the Kintoki arc.

Thank you for sending this Jojo! 💜✨Considering the type of person Kana is and her lore, this was quite hard to come up with. I think for her, an incompatibility ranking would be easier to make 🤣🤣🤣 (e.g. yeah she hates this guy, yeah and this guy too!)

After much thinking, here is the top 5 most compatible characters for Kana-chan!

1. Kurumi&... (x)

Though the stream is divided by a boulder in its swift flow, I know the twain will soon unite again.

Phew! Now that the legally required special Kurumi category is done, we can move on to the top 5 most compatible canon KHR characters with Kana.

For this one, the main criteria we looked for are people she gets along/would agree with without the divine Kurumi intervention (regardless if they will ever even meet or not), so I'm dissecting her brain a bit. But just a little bit, otherwise it'll be dangerous 💀💀💀 (stalking her in my brain w/o the Kurumi or Yui factor is hard ueueueue)

Anyway, top five in no particular order (for now), except #1 is kinda obvious:

◆ Yamamoto Takeshi

She has nothing against genuine and earnest people like him, she appreciates them actually. Even moreso, if it's someone who can live by their ideals no matter what. Despite his natural talent as a hitman, he somehow has this interesting stubbornness to not kill people, even if his own life is in danger. She personally finds such a thing difficult to do, it's way easier to kill them quickly, so it's something she can respect.

That's why when she was asked to assist in training him, she didn't really argue against it, even though he's technically already someone from Vongola by then. He's smarter than he lets on, that much she knows. She wonders how long he'll pretend that this is all a game of mafia.

When Yamamoto came over to the Ninomiya Estate to train with her, he introduced himself to her parents (who happened to both be home at that time) as her friend. Upon hearing of such a thing, Kana's parents started tearing up dramatically in such an exaggerated manner. "Ah! Our beloved Kana-chan finally has a friend outside of this Family!"

◆ Giotto (Vongola Primo)

"The Vongola Primo believes that someone who abandons their own friends cannot be entrusted with the position as the boss of his Family."

Due to Oniyanagi and Vongola's long history together, he always makes it perfectly clear to his father how difficult he finds it to trust the Vongola Family, even if both organizations currently have a stable business partnership. A long history like this can only serve to lower one's guard, opening an opportunity for betrayal.

However, the thing he can agree with from the bottom of his heart (if any) regarding Vongola Primo is that they both wouldn't abandon their respective Families. If shit hits the fan, his priority is his own Family. The succeeding Vongola boss is just gonna have to fend for himself.

"But didn't the book say "friends" not "Family"?" "Aren't they technically the same?" "Yesn't."

◆ Reborn

Reborn being world's strongest hitman is something they found to be quite respectable, they even passed by each other on a few missions before. But him trying to be their tutor is something that they find to be quite troublesome. Their parents told them that the only ones getting "tutored" is Tsuna and his potential guardians after all. Nevertheless, it's not like they don't understand the lessons that he's trying to teach them. It's just that they're not in the mood to improve themselves in such a manner.

There are a good several times though when their brains would eclipse and the endpoint personal victim would be Tsuna.

"Kana, I need you to do something." "No thanks, I'm busy right now." "If you follow through, Tsuna will get punk'd in the end. Kurumi might just laugh if it's funny enough." "Ok."

◆ Hibari Kyoya

He's an admirable person who carries himself with such confidence and with full belief in himself. Undeterred by what's considered common by people around him, he paves his own path solely based on his own ideals and beliefs. It's almost as if he can overcome anything with his strength no matter what.

Whenever they slightly let their guard down, he might just remind them of a person they look up to. With the phrase itself "look up to" being an extreme understatement. Whenever they see the sight of that black coat of his hanging off his shoulder, swaying in the air, they can't help but think: "Isn't it disgusting? When you begin to recall such a warm memory, but feel thoroughly cold instead."

It's precisely because he's the exact type of person that they would've been fond of long ago that they need to deny anything he asks of them beyond arm's length transactions. Yet, look what he's trying to get them into, provoking them to reveal all their cards so early? What a bastard. There must be something wrong with him. But, who are they to criticize him in the first place? When, surely enough, there's a lot of things wrong with them, way more than whatever is wrong with him.

Proud battle-sexual vs Closet battle-sexual - where the former is trying to get the latter off the closet by bulldozing through them. But the latter keeps finding new closets to hide in. Their LG/BT stands for Lethal Gruesome Beatdown Tournament. They are both having a fun time, no cap.

◆ Checker Face

Compromising the lives of a "few", for the "greater good" is something they would agree on. Though, what they respectively consider as "greater good" might be different.

The means to an end only matter if you have viable options to choose from in the first place. If there's no other means, then it unfortunately just couldn't be helped, right?
