Hmm my parents made me do theater for like 5+ years, multiple shows a year despite me hating it and vocalizing I wanted to quit because I was a very anxious child who hated having attention on me. They said I had to do it to get out of my shell more cause as a child I would literally not speak if someone I didn’t really know (like anyone but immediate family, one grandparent, and like 2 family friends my age) was even just near me, like it was kinda alarming. But I love theater from every other perspective besides being on stage (watching/backstage/analyzing/designing/writing) and I still will gladly go see shows with my family and my friends

#all my life my family wanted me to be a Neil when really I’m a Todd; I get so anxious performing in front of others #I also like writing poetry more than acting so like idk man I really do be a Todd more #if anything I’m a reverse Neil cause my parents kept forcing me into the arts and now I’m premed at my own choice lol like they wanted a #kid in the arts and instead they got a kid who is persuing medicine; also I too was in too many clubs in high school; somehow I managed to #join 9 different clubs almost purely by accident and I would also take a before school class so at the end of high school I graduated with #an award that was like ‘most cumulative credits earned’ but in my defense if I took gym before school I got an extra elective #but yeah I’ve gotten slightly better at the talking; more than I was as a child; but it’s still pretty bad; it’s just the circle of people #I feel comfortable enough to ramble to has expanded much more than it was as a child but no literally if you ask anyone but my siblings #what I was like as a child all you will get is that I was quiet and faded into the background; I was the ‘forgotten’ middle child to others #thanks for the tag!!#ask game #not dps
